It's alright, but unlocks are very slow and the one thing that makes me give this a thubms down is that has an inherent doom-timer that foces you to complete every match ASAP or you will just die and there is nothing you can do against it. Just takes away all the fun. It's also broken, in that in some missions you have to survive for 9 turns but it scales so fast you are basically doomed automatically. Not sure if …

Clonizer has a unique blend of deckbuilding and (light) 4X mechanics. From what I've seen so far there seems to be a solid variety of viable builds and systems to experiment with. I played 2.2 hours when I realized I didn't think I enjoyed this too much. It's certainly well made, unique, creative and has a lot going for it. Perhaps it will be perfect for some people. However, there isn't really any metaprogression and all the unlocks and achievements either aren't very meaningful or exciting. If you like achievement hunting purely for achievements, you might enjoy it more. I tried to get my money's worth from it, but just didn't hit the spot as far as the fundamental…

I feel bad because this looks great, and I feel like there was a lot of good work balancing/creating it but, it is just so boring and slow, like dreadfully slow and bland and by the time a build comes online the game is over or you lose at the end because you never got any good trinkets or buildings. The variety of decks is as plain as 2 cards being different.

I usually get bored with types of games like this since it is easy to find op combinations and go with them, but this is not the case with this one. I can see myself trying different types of card combinations and see where the rng leads me with different types of planets and difficulty settings. It is a must try in the genre.

Fun little deckbuilder that I had my eyes on for a while. I played the demo back at nextfest and was impressed with the mechanics. In Clonizer you work for CLONPO, a company that specializes in cloning technology. Cloning has become a widespread concept across the galaxy and CLONPO is always looking for planets that contain "Dupe", the substance needed to create clones. Unfortunately mass cloning also created a large amount of defective clones, so called "Faultees". This have become a constant…

Clonizer, developed by Juicy Plume and published by Rogue Duck Interactive, is a refreshingly inventive blend of turn-based strategy, roguelike deckbuilding, and base-building mechanics, all wrapped in a quirky sci-fi aesthetic. It carves out its own niche within the crowded indie strategy genre by embracing a cheerful, cartoonish visual style and mixing lighthearted humor with genuinely thoughtful gameplay. This is a pretty unique take on the rogue-lite, deckbuilding genre. It's fun. As with all games in this genre, I wish there was more. That being said I think you can get your money's worth out of the $15. It's an enjoyable experience. There's two main "factions" and each of those has at the base "three" builds it seems at first glance. Trying to optimize those or make amalgamations of them is interesting. It's pretty fun, pretty casual, and yeah. Well worth it.

This is a pretty neutral review really, but I'm going to put it on the recommend side because I enjoyed it for a while and I can see there being a place for it, for the right kind of person or the right kind of time. For me it's not really that, because the very slow unlock progress and general lack of variety makes it a bit of a slog to play. What might appear on the surface to be yet another Sci-Fi Slay the Spire clone, is actually pretty unique. You are tasked with taking your Clonizer ship from planet to planet in order to conquer the planets by completing unique quests on each one. The game's main gimmick is that your ship can spawn a near endless supply of little grunt clones you can use to both explore the planet as well as bop its indigenous hostile fauna. While your clones are pretty disposable, your Clonizer ship is not,…

Video: https://youtu.be/8xLXe_YBi2Q I received a free key back in 2024, and played it a few times. I'm not particularly good at this. Maybe it's because internally I want to be attached to the clones and keep them alive. But, maybe I also make terrible choices when it comes to deckbuilding. But, in the almost 2 hours I've played I can say it's a really cute and wholesome deckbuilder. It's a really fun game with huge potential but there is no motivation for replaying once you win. There are some achievements you can do if you feel like trying to meet the specific conditions but there is no accession levels and there doesn't feel much like point to unliocking more planets or cards when it's the same run over and over again you've already won

Fun take on a roguelike deckbuilder meets hex strat game. The art / humor are surprisingly good and there's a lot of charm in the package. The main issue is that runs are a bit short and a bit too samey (which are two sides of the same problem). The shortness means you can't get into really 'interesting' decks... which means that most decks develop in generally similar ways... which reduces the randomness and makes runs feel very similar. Hoping that the devs continue to add to solid base.…

Pretty fun game so far. Tutorial is okay, not very in-depth given the amount of mechanics available.
