I want to like this game, I really do. It has a unique and beautiful art style, it's challenging without being unfair, and the pacing of the areas feels great. But the fact that there is no weapon info either in game or in the menu kills this for me. It feels terrible picking up a weapon having absolutely no idea how it's going to perform and chances are you've cleared the area so you need to find an enemy to even …

Well gosh darn it all ter heck if this ain't mayhaps the best top-down shooter I done ever played - an' I done played a lot! Where to begin. It's very simple at the first impression, but has incomparable depth for its genre, to a genuinely unexpected degree given the lofi visual style. In terms of stealth, AI and ballistics/weapon behaviour this game is on par with all but the very best AAA stealth-action games - on …

This game is pretty fun. Its difficult to play, but then again I have not played enough of this game yet. BUT, I can say for certain that I do recommend this game. Its very skill based and the game play loop of shooting bad guys and getting upgrades is pretty fun, makes me feel like a true gunslinger. Also the mechanic of being able to go back to previous levels on the same run is something I have not seen before in …

Review after 100% After pouring my heart, patience and 40 hours of my life into Colt Canyon, I can safely claim that it is quite fun western game. It’s short, satisfying and extremely frustrating for anyone who aims at a 100% completion. It’s a top-down shooting game where you explore 9 stages (and defeat three bosses at the end of each biome), you choose a character and explore each level while mowing down bandits, …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoying this game a lot. Roguelike western shooter with a classic arcade game feel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately the game is unplayable for me. It reliably crashes within a minute or two every time. I have also tried some things mentioned in forums but none helped. Ill change the review to positive when the game doesn't crash.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun roguelite; die and repeat mechanic. Definitely can suck down a few hours of your time once you get the rhythm of the game and figure out how to manage followers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fun, I think it would be great as a 3ds game. Please add weather events that like, switch color pallete to like deep blues and cyans or like a sunset event that increases the redness. Maybe like an area that is lush with greenery and its like an open field, think game would be great as an open world too lowkey I just love the sytyle
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The true enemies in this game are not the people with firearms; it's the danger noodles that ninja you when you don't have poison resistance up yet... A very fun shoot-n'-scoot.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting at first, but soon you realise that many weapons are kinda bad and you can't go into the third stage while having a short range weapon loadout for example. Most enemies will shoot at you from the distance and that shielded guy can take several hp bars just from one accurate shot at you. If you play a low hp character it can basically one-shot you. Even though the areas are somewhat randomly generated, but every stage feels repetitive. I didn't like how unimpactful the upgrades are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love it. You can tell this game is made with love. The gameplay is really fun and the game keeps adding different playstyles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →gud: - graphics bad: - shielded enemies drain all your ammo, run into one right on the 1-2 level in first game. - Knife doesn't do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. - Enemies are dmg sponge
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not my style. Enemies are a bit too bullet spongey for me. Gets too tough, too quickly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shoot bang bam bam bam
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WTF? This game is insane! This will probably be my favorite Roguelike for many years. However, why no Mare's Leg >:c
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all, game is awesome. The gameplay isnt easy in my opinion and is challenging and takes a tiny bit to get used to but after you do, you start enjoying it way more. I like how most weapons feel different varying from reload green bar length/position to getting knocked back while shooting changing from weapon to weapon its pretty fun. Only bug ive encountered so far was when held gun it thrown away while reloading the reload ui freezes and stays on top of your character but this isnt a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun game. very simple easy to start and relaxing. Not very punishing but fun to run around and shoot guys.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →idk what the other commenters are talking about but this is sadly quite boring and repetitive, which I wish I didn't have to say.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →man! THE SHOOTING feels so good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good fun for its sale price of $2.99 USD, but if you prefer roguelites with upgrade mechanics, you're really going to hit a wall with this one. upgrades ONLY come through progress. you can also turn the difficulty down by half, but what are you, a coward?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was the best bullet hell game I have ever played, thank you so much Fetrific and Headup. I went through a lot of pain beating this game, but it was worth it. Thank you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is definitely challenging yet simple. The controls take some getting used to but in the end feel natural. I enjoyed playing this game because I can jump in and out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nice graphics and idea, I'm terrible at the game but its still enjoyable if you take a break from it every now and again, this would be extremely tuff as an open world story game ngl.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this game for about 2 dollars on Switch. Got it again for even less on PC just to write this review. This game is VERY replayable and quite satisfying, I managed to get 70+ hours of playtime on Switch (around 60 before the game got a bit dry) All this game really needs is more content and variety. Once you 100% the game, all that is left is to hunt for Rare Weapons and unlock all the character loadouts. Still, that kept me going for a very, very long time.

I plan to feature some gameplay from the game soon as well. This'll also be the first time I've ever played the game, too. #coltcanyon #videogames #indiegames
neutral · AI labelView post →great game, fun combat, hidden xtras in levels, fun graphics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun in short doses. Pros: - Large variety of weapons. - Combat can be tense. - Aesthetic is simple, but rustic in a good way. Cons: - Upgrades don't feel as useful as they should. - Later into a run, it's clear which weapon types are superior, making the others redundant.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A hidden gem and a must try. My Rating: 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So anyway, I started blasting
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, For a low space game with 16 bit graphics its fun, like hotline miami with more of a Dungeon crawler aspect, 10/10 would piss away 20 hours playing it. Keep up the good work devs!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unless I missed something, the way to lock on to an enemy is to use the right stick because for some reason, my character can't identify anyone near me automatically. So I have to lock on. And instead of "snapping"/magnetize/auto lock in to the nearest enemy, it just lets my stick roam around until I find it. In the early stages, it doesn't matter because you can space out each attack mostly. And when you get a hoard of enemies, it's still somewhat manageable and fun. But pretty much any level…

neutral · AI labelView post →♥♥♥♥ me sideways, this was hard as balls. Over the course of three years, I had several half-assed attempts at progresing in this game, always ragequitting after three or four rounds. This time, I made it a priority: Don't stop playing until you see the credits. And this took me a good dozen of hours. Don't let the charming style and (probably) low price fool you: This one is unforgiving as hell. It's actually 99% roguelike, there's no meta system that at least throws you the occasional bone…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game when it was a 1$. I can tell you with confidence, it's worth 15$. Similarities to Nuclear Throne in that the list of upgrades is on the smaller end for a rogue, but the addition of many characters with baked-in abbilities allows for more build varieties. Secrets hidden in most levels encourage exploration. You don't feel pressured to scour every inch on your first playthrough, since you can backtrack mid-run at any time to pick up missed health, ammo and upgrades if didn't…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has become my second favorite twin stick of all time. I haven't had this much fun sticking a shotgun into a guy's chest since SYNTHETIK. I liked it so much I got 100% in achievements, even got the foil badge, and I never do that. The combat is fantastic, I love how brutal, visceral and satisfying it is to dodge roll while doing an active reload then shooting your bolt action through three bandits. Or making some noise, hiding behind a rock and skewering a idiot, waiting for his buddy to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid, customizable, bite sized, yet immersive roguelike experience. Satisfying gunplay, nuanced options, and balanced difficulty.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, works with steam remote play, fairly lengthy to beat and very replayable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game! I played it my with bro and we had a blast! Great game, great ending!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun game. There's a surprising amount of weapons (You see even more when you start on looped runs). Some of em are stinkers that'll make you cry when you see them, but most are really satisfying to use and it can be a struggle to decide which 2 you'll be carrying. Most I can say negatively is that the stealth system seems pretty buns. I tried it out for the two related achievements, and they were pretty much the only ones I didn't enjoy doing. As a secondary system it's fine but when…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game. It's a old west roguelike game with minimalist graphics and fast-paced. There's not much story to read, just basic lines which tell the main character is a hero trying to rescue his partner from the bandits. The gameplay is intense, with enemies trying somehow to take you down. The game has progression, either to you and to the enemies. As you get further, enemies get stronger and with more complex mechanics, but you also has the chance to get stronger, being able to get…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Game I found on a sale ages ago and had in my library for a while I had just finished another game and wasn't sure what to play so I downloaded it and tried it out and it is amazing. The game is hard yes but you can change that with the game modifiers. You can increase/decrease as much as you like making the game your own. The art style is beautiful in it's simplicity the characters all being white silhouettes makes them easy to identify and the splatter mechanics are insanely good. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In the wise words of gabe newell fun is in reinforcement, not in realism. By that definition Colt Canyon is remarkably fun. Nearly everything you do leaves an effect. Shoot enemies? blood trail in the exact path of the bullet. Your bullet pierced a guy's throat and hit a rock on the way? Ricochet. 1 hp and barely walking? You leave bloody footprints everywhere. Went on a road with no human enemies? well cowboy that's cause a massive bull is waiting to charge at you so you better change paths.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game should be called “ammunition seeker” because we constantly run out of it, or we have to use 2-3 times as much on each enemy as we can obtain. On top of that, after 3 hours of gameplay, I haven’t received a single key despite encountering many chests that require one, which is very frustrating. What's worse, there's nothing to make up for it. The gameplay is monotonous, offering little variety in approach, the upgrades don't change anything, your companions are useless, and shooting is…
