What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 79 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (88 of 106 positive).
Players praise the game's quirky, humorous world and characters. [1][2][3] Many find the movement mechanics fun once mastered, but janky initially. [4][5][6] Some reviewers criticize poor performance and lack of optimization. [7][8][9]

Completely Stretchy is such an aggressively mediocre game, that i really can't recommend it at it's current price (or any price really). It relies on one mechanic, the stretchy arm (which is for all intents and purposes a grapple) which completely fails to be utilised to it's fullest extent. The maps barely accommodate for it, being mostly long and somewhat flat, instead of very vertical which would allow for the …

This is a pretty goofy and fun little platforming/exploration game, it reminded me most of Sludge Life, but with a wonky alien twist. Swinging around can be pretty fun, and it doesn't overstay its welcome even if you are going for the hundred percent. I really liked the music and atmosphere, it makes for a nice, chill experience. I'm surprised Completely Stretchy is so unknown, I'd definitely recommend it to people …

Swing and stretch around goofy little islands to power up your ability to swing and stretch around goofy little islands. Exploration is fun, parkour is both relaxing and challenging , writing is silly and dumb (in a good way.) My only complaint is that it simply does not run well on Steam Deck and has no real graphical options, outside of lowering resolution, that can address performance. Other than that, it is …

Very goofy and fun game. The movement and parkouring take a little bit to get used to but become very fun when you get better at it. The music is great. It's a relatively compact experience with a fun little story and premise. But where the game shines most in my opinions is in the world building. I had a lot of fun exploring and finding lots of new fun and bizzare scenes and characters. Would definitely recommend …

81% of the 79 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Completely Stretchy. The complaint that keeps coming up: janky controls and unsatisfying grapple. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

neutral · AI labelView post →I kinda wish I could do a review somewhere in the middle, its not a bad game and i did enjoy myself for the most part but it did end up getting to a point where i got fed up and just quit. it might be a bit unoptimised , I was getting pretty bad stutters before i did some configuration. the grapple mechanics are OK, but it isnt very intuitive, especially considering how small your range is in the begining and how little times you can grapple, and even when you have the upgrades it feels more…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is fun and the islands are pretty expansive to explore. Controls do take a while to get used to but once down, it's pretty fun to swing all around. The characters and missions are nice but can sometimes be confusing as there's no marking on the map for what missions are active or mission tracking on the missions menu. Achievements are also a bit bugged as of this review. Overall the game itself is fun and the islands themselves are fun to traverse. 7/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game packed full of character. It suits the Steamdeck really well. I can't help myself but talk to everyone in the town. The nightclub in this game is better than any I've been to irl (riPP)

positive · AI labelView post →It looks like Sludge Life with similar silly world build but not as good, the jokes don’t land and most NPCs look alike it’s easy to get bored, but the most painful part is the sticky hand doesn’t grip well, making climbing frustrating and this game requires a lot climbing, the janky controls wipe out all the fun. The city looks interesting in a way with the monorail, though. If a future update makes the sticky hand easier to use = easier to get around I’d come back but not in the current…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An open-world indie platformer with a grapple mechanic sounds like a good time, but an hour or two in, the grapple just feels janky and unsatisfying to use (as does basic movement, to a lesser degree), and the open-world elements suffer from a lack of any objective marker or onscreen map. Sludge Life may not have had a grapple mechanic, but it did this sort of quirky low-fi indie first-person open-world platformer much better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fantastic game! I love the art style, design and writing. The story and characters are hilarious! The gameplay is awesome and there's more than enough content to keep you busy for several hours, with a really good variety of different quests and nothing that feels too repetitive or like busywork. The controls are intuitive and using your stretchy arm is simple enough, but takes a while to master if you want to skilfully swing across the entire map. One thing I especially like about…

Day 251) Completely Stretchy by Warp Digital/Dan Ferguson An odd little game that has you caught in a freak accident that turns you "Completely Stretchy" It's a fun 3D Platformer where stretching yourself to the max is the way to get around.
neutral · AI labelView post →This game is a lot like Sludge Life, but it lacks satisfying movement and is incredibly dull. It makes me sad that I have to be this negative, because I often love these silly little games, but this one was simply not fun to play. Especially not for the price it costs.

neutral · AI labelView post →Completely Stretchy is a very good, colorful, absurd exploration adventure. + Strong colorful absurd and comedic theme + After initial intro, free exploration, mission and side quest + Three themed islands you can navigate between + Upgrade progression * Controls can feel a bit cumbersome and random, but for the most part, they work well enough and offer freedom - No hint or help system, map, or compass for collecting the last hidden achievement completionist items
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completely Stretchy - Runs great so far but I haven't played a ton yet.
positive · AI labelView post →Fun 3D platformer with quirky characters. Pretty much your becomes very sticky and elastic due to an industrial accident. You then use your new arm to swing around and climb structures across 3 islands to complete quests.

positive · AI labelView post →Great movement combined with a ridiculously silly world, reminds me a ton of Sludge Life in gameplay and, weirdly, Dog's Life for the PS2 in terms of music/collectathon elements/the three regions. Wish completing some quests had more payoff but the main route was very satisfying to complete.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super Stretchy and fun little adventure. Always loved playing funny and weird games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I worked on an open world game that was designed, developed and released in under a year (Completely Stretchy). I've ported a game that's sold over two million copies to console in two months (Thronefall). I've done numerous other things that don't fit into the 300 character limit.
neutral · AI labelView post →Completely Stretchy is a whimsical first-person exploration platformer developed by Dan Ferguson and Warp Digital, and published by Super Rare Originals. It takes place in the bizarre, off-kilter world of the Grombi Isles, where you awaken after a mysterious accident at the Elektro factory. You’re now completely blue, extremely stretchy, and equipped with a long, rubbery arm that lets you grab, swing, and slap your way through a surreal landscape populated by quirky characters and unpredictable…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very fun and cartoony open world platformer where you can use your hands to swing around. it's, a small game, but is still a great experience. highly recommended on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Good The level design is well done, with lots of little nooks and crannies to explore and interesting things things to find. Levels are also easy to navigate while still being decent sized, and I never felt overwhelmed or lost. The core gimmick, the grappling arm, is also fun to use (at least when upgraded a couple times). Once I got used to it I pretty much swung my entire way through the levels. There are a few challenges too if you really want to test your skills with it. The Bad To be…

neutral · AI labelView post →Just wow I was amazed at the gameplay and story but some quests were harder than others like the book and plant finding quest I think they made the second one I said easier after the update but since I played it before update it was a little harder for me. Other than the book quest it's a smooth gameplay that you can go through while skipping some dialogues and still understanding the story. (Spoiler warning)Also at the its a really funny detail that the kidnapper is still in the tower and you…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game with great movement once you get some upgrades! I played m+k, can't speak to how it plays with controller.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get a weird stretchy arm, explore a weird world, meet weird characters, and solve their weird problems. It's a fun little adventure with silly humor, puzzles, and charm. And hoverbikes. Unlock even more stretchiness as you go; by the end, the amount you can fling yourself around is really really fun. Most importantly though, always remember: Vetto is faster than you.

neutral · AI labelView post →This game gets a barely recommend for a few reasons. The world is weird and cute and the characters and dialogue are funny and unique. The game is super short, can be done in like 2 hrs. 90% of it is just looking for hidden electriks and doing random odd tasks to get eletriks, so basically a collectathon. You just wandering around performing tasks to get collectibles, theres not much to it. The platforming isn't great, swinging is super finnicky and hard to build up momentum. Early on when your…
