Players describe Copy Kitty as a hidden gem that combines elements of Kirby, Mega Man, and Gunstar Heroes. [1][2][3] Many reviewers praise the game's passion, charm, and extensive content, including multiple campaigns and a level editor. [4][5][6] Some players criticize the controls, aiming, and visual effects as janky or overwhelming. [7][8][9]

Take a gander at this game — the screenshots, the logotype, the overall look. You'd be forgiven to think it amauter-ish, even kind of ugly and unappealing, like that "graphic design is my passion" meme in game form. With such a messy-looking presentation, one might wonder if these devs have any idea what they're doing. Let me tell you, they absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do. Get Kirby 64 and Gunstar Heroes, mash them together …

I do not say this lightly: Copy Kitty is one of the greatest games I've ever played. I can't remember the last time a game consistently made me so happy, while leaving no doubt in my mind that the devs made it with genuine enthusiasm and passion. They thought of everything, went the extra mile, and just kept going and going! Play as both characters on normal and hard, play all the endless modes, the boss rushes... …

My other jokey review wasn't enough for a game of this calibre. It is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nuts that this only has 325 reviews, I am fairly certain that this is my favorite game ever made. I've never played anything else that oozes as much passion, charm, and energy as Copy Kitty. Every singular second is pure unabashed childlike bliss. It's the best aspects of megaman, and kirby, and every weird gamecube or wii game I played as …

It's actually crazy how little this game has been talked about. Every level just keeps giving and giving and giving in this weird hybrid between Megaman and Kirby. Genuinely hope this developer makes it big because this is an underrated gem of a game. It can be tough and over stimulating at times but it's rad!

It's like the crazed love child of Kirby/Mega Man and Gunstar Heroes. Absolutely fantastic. I grew up playing Gunstar Heroes nonstop as a kid and I have to say, this game brought back feelings from those days that I didn't know I forgot. While the levels are relatively mazelike and bite sized in comparison, this game has a much deeper exploration of the combining formula from the aforementioned game. You can clear …

neutral · AI labelView post →Copy Kitty has been my big 'hear me out' game for about eight years now. It's a hard sell because it looks kinda weird and awkward. But so far, 100% of people I've convinced to try it ended up loving it. And it's under $4 right now. Pro tip: Use the Advanced control mode. More buttons, less fiddly

First, I'm part of a 99 turn Mario Party game for charity, then whatever at night. Thurs, is a The Talos Principle: Reawakened sponsored stream. Saturday, Cookie ends the week.

positive · AI labelView post →Copy Kitty (2018) A raw and uncompromising action game daring to be endlessly detailed and imaginative. I played Copy Kitty because someone described it as an honorary Treasure game, and not only was it the perfect pitch; they were correct. /K

positive · AI labelView post →Copy Kitty is such a loud & proud personal game that playing it & browsing & reading through the database brought me back to when I doodled on my middle school notebooks & drew little comics. And it's probably the best power fantasy I felt playing a game: childlike wonder that's earnest & awesome!
positive · AI labelView post →It's taken me a long time to find the words to describe how I feel about this game. I had never really encountered anything like it beforehand, and i haven't been able to find anything that can quite match how this makes me feel since (apart from Sunfluffs, the second game by these developers, lol) But with a few years and around 200 hours of playtime, i finally figured out what made this game so special to me. I have ADHD and Autism, which means i interact with people and media quite a bit…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been hooting about Copy Kitty for YEARS. Sunfluffs - currently in early access & just got a big update - is the next game from that duo. Much more relaxing. An exploration platform adventure about befriending critters by feeding them, then solving puzzles with their help. Contains gender socks

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Copy Kitty This game is just playing through levels and going "No way I can do that, thats fucking sick" every 3-5 levels. Thank you gay furries, this was one of the most fun games I have played in actual months. 9/10
positive · AI labelView post →And I will always recommend Copy Kitty, which has one of the best second loops I've ever seen in a game. It technically goes back through all the old levels, but as a continuation of the story, with the environments and enemies and bosses changed by your first time through. Familiar but new.
positive · AI labelView post →i was clicking around on some indie game rec lists and found this game i've never heard of before called Copy Kitty...it looks like a forgotten port of a dreamcast game (it's even in 4:3) that's a mix of megaman and kirby 64. it fucking rules store.steampowered.com/app/349250/C...
positive · AI labelView post →Do you like EXPLOSIONS? Do you like RAINBOWS? Do you like DESTROYING THE WORLD? If you answered "Yes" to any of these things... play Copy Kitty. Play it. Plaaaaay iiiiit. It's seriously so good and exhilarating and Hard Mode is extensive as hell and essentially functions as a whole campaign of its own and there's 2 characters so there's 4 WHOLE CAMPAIGNS with 13 WORLDS EACH and its just AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA thing go boom :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game that was absolutely made for people who cover the borders of their assignments at school with doodles
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Copy Kitty is a labour of love. A passion project with seven years of polish. The kind of game that we all dreamed of creating when we were young. But is it any good? YES. The ability mixing system is incredibly fun, encouraging the player to experiment with different combinations and switch them out on the fly to replenish ammunition or handle different situations. The feeling of power you get when wielding a triple combo is amazing. The controls might take a bit of getting used to, so I…

positive · AI labelView post →I don't remember why I bought this game, but I do remember 100%ing the game. It's absolutely fantastic, one of those indie games with a lot of love and care put into it. TL;DR: it's FUN and the weapon combinations are great and the music is amazing. The main draw of this game is the combination system. It allows you to pick up powers, and the configuration of your powers makes your POWER SHOT vary in effect. If you have Lightning and Quick, it becomes a sword. If you have Force and Plasma, it…

positive · AI labelView post →Wanted to draw so I drew a Tasbeht from Copy Kitty, which is still a game worth playing as long as you don't suffer from photosensitivity
positive · AI labelView post →This game is a lot of fun, old internet vibe with its graphics and the gameplay is a mix of Kirby and Megaman with a few twists. Made me feel like I was playing something like Cave Story again, which is a massive compliment. Great work.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Or to be less vague about it: Copy Kitty is an extremely underrated and extremely well-crafted shooty game where every level feels like it iterates off the levels that came before it in such smooth ways that if you can pick up on the design language you'll never feel like it's Too hard.
positive · AI labelView post →This would have gone hard on XBLA
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've followed the creation of this game for what feels like over a decade, before the turbo edition, and played it a fair bit outside of steam. I really enjoyed it, and if you like megaman and/or kirby with a sprinkling of deviantart, then definitely give it a shot. I completed almost everything the game has to offer outside of a few achievements I don't really care about very much. For the eventual sequel, here are some things on my wishlist: * More story oriented rather than scenario-based.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so I've had steam for some months and I have a good amount of games, so now the store has an alright read on me when it gives recommendations, either showing me stuff that's cool but doesn't grab me, or great games that I already have on console and don't plan on getting again. so imagine my surprise when right as I'm about to check out a cart they show me this beauty I've never seen or heard of before at a discount for just three bucks. ok self obsessed story time out of the way I'm not very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just finished Copy Kitty (took awhile since I took a month long break, and the endless mode too stole some time), this game rocks hard, might be one of my new favorite indie titles. It's a shame it doesn't really seem to be that well known, I only knew this game thru a single friend.
positive · AI labelView post →entanma.itch.io/copy-kitty 'Copy Kitty' is on sale on itch.io and I cannot recommend it more. Absolutely sublime action game with supreme depth underneath a deceptively simple exterior. Nothing feels more like an exquisite power fantasy.
positive · AI labelView post →Today, #KharneRecommends Copy Kitty, a game that's clearly influenced by Treasure, with the insane weapons and enemy counts to back it up. Also destructible terrain: Level? What level? A rare case of a game being EXACTLY as crazy as the trailers make it look. store.steampowered.com/app/349250/C...
positive · AI labelView post →If I had a nickel for every indie game about cats, platformers, and explosions, that I was super interested in, I would have two nickels. Which (insert rest of joke here) Go play Blast Cats and Copy Kitty
neutral · AI labelView post →This game is a hidden gem amidst a sea of not so great games. First off, the story mode. Its awesome. I haven't finished the game, but I'm on world 10 (as of writing the review) and I'm loving It. Then, we have the level editor. I LOVE level editors, and I have 41 level editors, so I think I can rate the editor. It's great. I mean, it has a Boss fight maker. Have you ever seen a boss fight maker? No, I didn't think so. Anyways, the game is great and you should buy it. 10/10 would recommend.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An actual hidden gem. The game is fun, challenging, offers a surprising ammount of content ranging from hard mode and challenges to custom levels, and even has some neat references here and there (I will personally destroy all the Megaman construct dudes), plus the soundtrack is nice to boot. The devs said this was 7 years in the making and it shows, the game is very polished, flows well and I haven't encountered any bugs or glitches. I don't know how to make it reach a bigger audience,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hands down one of my favorite games of all time. I've been following this game for about a decade now, and it's hooked me since the start. Every facet of Copy Kitty, from the stellar gameplay to the absolutely jamming soundtrack, has been nothing short of a sheer delight. The fact that this never caught on is a mistake me and a friend of mine constantly try to rectify, and I always wind up giving a copy or two to others during the holidays. It's rare that I come across a game that's a banger…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game's been playable for at least 4 years and yet it remains painfully underrated. I've noticed a lot of games that made it on here through the Steam Greenlight days have been hurt in terms of exposure, for one reason or another. Pushing aside such a tragedy, this is an absolute must-recommend. Copy Kitty is an action platformer that is a little like Kirby 64 but also a little like Gunstar Heroes and I've seen a few people say Bangai-O Spirits too but I never played that so I'm just gonna…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is like eating crayons but in a good way i swear
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →39: Sunfluffs - Okay, maximum whiplash after that. Sunfluffs is the latest game from the makers of Copy Kitty, one of my all-time favourites. A very chill pastel-shaded platform puzzler about being a queer little creature out to befriend all the animals they can, and coax some into helping, too.
neutral · AI labelView post →A high-energy action platformer with precious little in the way of downtime; very arcadey, bite-sized levels that don't overstay their welcome. Particle effects may be on the extreme end for some, but the flashiness is part of the charm, alongside adorable characters and peppy music. Worth the $15 asking price for just how much game there *is* - two story modes, a hard mode with a story all its own (possibly two, I haven't done Savant's hard mode yet), and an endless mode, plus bonus content.…

positive · AI labelView post →Copy Kitty! kind of an obscure one haha, it's an indie game over on steam that plays kinda like a mix of Kirby and Megaman with emphasis on being kind of a power-trip game i think
neutral · AI labelView post →Fun game, controls are hard, boss battles are god-tier, stages are ok and few later ones are fun. Music is allright and then there are banger playing in boss-fights.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game's peak ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cat kills bosses with over the top flashy explosive weapons and im immediately on the edge of my seat. this game is literally mega man and kirby 64 with the aesthetic of a 2000's jetix cartoon. copying the abilites of the bosses and absolutely demolishing them with it is some of the most hype things ever, especially late and post game content, the stuff boki pulls is nuts. lots to do if you aim for 100% (i definitely reccomend doing the extra story modes like hard mode and extra world after…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How did this game never catch on? Only 237 reviews on Steam?? One of the best and most polished indie games I've ever played. It's plays sort of like Gunstar Super Heroes for the GBA in terms of controls with Kirby's power copying gimmick, but you can also combine up to 3 of those powers. Crazy amount of content (took me 30 hours just to do the first character's campaign, then there's a whole other character who plays totally differently) that actually stays fresh despite the simple gameplay…
