I recommend Corpse Party but I DON'T RECOMMEND this version. You want Corpse Party (2021). It has full Japanese voice acting, detailed CGs and much more polish. This version of the game (2016) is a port of the 2008 reboot of the 1996 game. The (2021) is a port of the 2010 PSP Version Bloodcovered: Repeated Fear.

The pixel art may look dated, but most of the horror comes from what you can't see anyway. The sound design does a lot of the heavy lifting, and after a while you start getting nervous over basically nothing. "No way I'm dying here, right?" I died there.
