What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 145 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (477 of 512 positive).
Players praise the game's deep tactical combat and addictive progression loop. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note bugs and balance issues, especially in early access. [4][5][6] A few players find runs too long and the meta progression grindy. [7][8]

The difficulty scaling and boss fights are beyond ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid. They give you all these options and builds to try - but most of them are trash and you need to follow specific paths to get anywhere. 5+ hours in, I've yet to complete a single run. The exponential scaling costs of the meta progression is also stupid. You can easily go through 3-4 runs just to get another single point. Great concept and idea, but …

This is a small but very worthy project. A rare find in the turn-based combat category. At first, I was surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reviews, but after playing for 10 hours, I was pleasantly surprised myself. Pros: +Amazing meta-progression +Balance +Build variety +Difficulty +Refreshing features for the genre +Unique and fun to play Cons: -Secondary storyline and music -Few mods and complications, but …

One More Run... Every Time This is one of those games that quietly hooks you. I bought it expecting to play for an hour or two, and suddenly I'm dozens of runs in saying, "just one more." What It Does Well Excellent progression that keeps every run meaningful. Tons of build variety without becoming overwhelming. Unlocks constantly give you something new to experiment with. Runs are fast enough that failure never …

Good game but sometimes the enemy does not end their turn which kills your run (reloading game will not fix it). Fun game but maybe wait until full release and hopefully all the major bugs will be fixed. HP bar text is really small and hard to read - hoping they fix that. EDIT: The day after I posted the review, the bugged room suddenly changed to a new one which fixed my run. EDIT2: There's currently a few run …

Great game. I had no idea going in that I would enjoy the mix of turn based strategy, FTL overland map, roguelike base upgrades, and the sheer amount of item combinations to really scratch that strategy itch I didn't know was there.
Summarised from 34 of the 157 public posts collected about this game; every point cites the posts behind it ([n] opens the post) and the split is counted from the posts’ own ratings. Updated Oct 13, 2026. How summaries are made
90% of the 145 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Deified. The complaint that keeps coming up: bugs and jankiness, including run-ending issues. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

(seen on the picture attached) I have one sheet of A5 paper per edition, around 60 to 90 demos played every time, and notes written on the back, I keep notes of the demos I play, and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fine and interesting. But becomes a slog. Runs take a long time to do. And they made a big Points system so that you can get better at your runs but then eventually make it super expensive and cumbersome to earn them. Meanwhile the boards & enemies don't really change from one run to another. So you're fighting the same monsters on the same boards over and over. Even for a RogueLite it starts getting repetitive and grindy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a good time with it, despite some jankiness and bugs here and there. With that said, I don't know if there is any more value for me to get out of this game, even though there are planned gameplay additions and features with 1.0 release in September. Best of luck to the developers in their future project. I will surely stick around to see what they come up with :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll leave my original review attached below, but since the devs have returned, I'll change it to positive, as the game itself is quite good. No one, certainly not I, begrudges a small indie dev studio some hard-earned vacation time, but I still feel just 'abandoning' the project for a month without so much as saying a word is not a proper way to do it. A small announcement would have been more than enough to calm people and avoid frustrations. ----- original review: Great game but the devs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: The game has a very niche gameplay style, but if you enjoy tactical roguelikes (like Mewgenics, for example) you can go in blind! There are just a few interface issues and the occasional small bug, but that’s what Early Access is for, especially since they’re honestly very minor. ART DIRECTION Sound Design & Music +++++ : Probably one of the most immersive tactical roguelikes I’ve ever played. Art ++++ : Really beautiful, with some very interesting and bold designs. The…

positive · AI labelView post →Heya folks, here's a short featuring an indie roguelike tactical rpg called Deified. This one was a request but since it's for a full game, instead of a demo, I'll be writing about it as well. Will need to play more of it first, though. #deified #videogames #indiegames #roguelike #shorts #gameplay

neutral · AI labelView post →Artwork is just as beautiful as it looks in the trailers throughout. Story and gameplay work together really elegantly. Both are inventive, complex and have surprising depth. Picked this up on an off-chance and it's ended up being an all-timer. Great work from the Unexpected Team - this game very much lives up to their name.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My main problem is how long each run is. My very first run died around 2 hours, then I beat my second run after around 2.5 hours. The main reason each run is so long is because each combat takes ages to finish and each combat isn't really that unique, you just spam all of your relics and avoid the deadly enemies in each room, not much strategy involved. I get that you can skip a lot of combats but then you'd lose out on character power from gold, shops, and exp. Also, the game is listed as a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very difficult in its current state and option for helping you during your run are limited.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's still early but I'm enjoying it very much so far. UPDATE It's a good game, with great art and an interesting, creative growth style. BUT, it is buggy. Not a little buggy. Fairly buggy. Sometimes bugs so big you can't continue on a run and have to scrap an hour or more of game play with nothing to show for it. Wasted time. And, that's very bad. I still recommend it but these bugs need to beat down quick or they'll lose their base and start getting neg reviews. UPDATE 2: Getting to the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game offers high-quality content. It’s easy to pick up, and you can start multiple sessions fairly quickly. The game is still in early access and shows good development progress, but there are still some minor issues. The game doesn’t seem well-balanced to me, and I sometimes find myself in battles that last several dozen turns.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[DeifieD - Steam Next Fest] I have the joy to work on this amazing turn-based tactical roguelite, where you gather powerful relics. I'm usually not into playing that kind of game, but I actualy really enjoy it! So you might also give it a go 😁
positive · AI labelView post →Incredibly interesting synergies and unlocks for meta progression. This feels REALLY good. For 10 minutes, or even 10 hours like I didn't do today.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice start, but it falls off very quickly after a couple of runs. The schemes are all right, but the execution fails. -Disgusting grind obsession: You need to farm for stats, levels, and weapon upgrades. All upgrades require the same single resource. You start with almost empty maps and a crippled character, which leads to another problem. -Basically, this game is about stat checking: Progression looks like this: 2–3 runs are fun to explore, then comes the tedious part with grinding to…

neutral · AI labelView post →Game has way too many elements which makes this micromanagment hell (so you kinda cant play it casualy) and fights overall gets boring quickly. But overall this is good game, still needs some/many microadjustments to make it more enjoyable. EDIT: after 20 more hours game becomes even more tedious as the levels doesn't change much; the replayability is very heavily hampered by very monotonous levels. EDIT: after 40 hours game is even more boring as mob hp skyrockets and you just waste time by…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game before the release, playing 50+ hours without being bored at all. I wanted to wait for the full release before spending more time. Now, I plan to wait a bit before discovering it again so i can forget it a bit and play it with full pleasure again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great tactical roguelike with real depth, thoughtful challenge, and a unique look.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun tactical roguelike. it took me a little bit to get into it (and also to realize you can turn quests in for metagame currency) but it's a solid game. would recommend if you like the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best Dungeon Crawler i ever played
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Needs some bug fixes. 3d Visuals need some work - blood doesn't show up on spaces, hard to see triggers and trap locations, difficult to tell enemy units apart visually. Some translations from French still to go. That being said, I've really been enjoying it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Meh. I wanted to like this game, but I can't recommend it in its current state. It has some neat ideas, but there are some big flaws in core gameplay aspects: The pacing is all off after the first act. Heal, shield and mobility are all available in copious amounts. There are too many enemies with too little threat. Later the enemies are too tanky for AoE to be effective, so you end up slowly picking them off one by one. It's never hard because you can stall the fight indefinitely. This is very…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has good gameplay and strategy but the rogue-LITE aspects kinda kill it for me, because it takes the skill aspect from the game. Its basically like you are supposed to die and grind to be able to beat the game over time when you have the upgrades unlocked, which is disappointing because at that point you aren't playing the mechanics, you are arbitrarily grinding. A fix would be at least not to be able to unlock ALL of the skills available, and only be able to equip a select number of skills…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes!😋 She's a character from my Dwarf Fortress Game. She's Queen of the Deified Anvil, a massive empire that was the first dwarven civilization to mine and forge adamantine, granting her the title of "Adamantine Queen" (Adamantine's Blue in the game, hence the body paint)

And it's not just for the Hall of Fame run as a player, his role as the constabulary of vocabulary on Knick broadcasts inspires me EVERY GAME! The absolute GOAT #Knicks
neutral · AI labelView post →Awesome game 10/10 would recommend - Cool lore - Large variety of viable and fun builds - Adequately complex mechanics - The progressive difficulty system works very well Hoping for more content in the future :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun at first, but the meta progression grind is absolutely insane. Since skill points cost scale based on how many skill points you have, you'll very quickly find yourself needing multiple runs to purchase even a single skill point, and most unlocks require multiple skill points.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Expect to fail your first runs, you will need 3-4 runs to build meta progressing and completing the first run. Builds are nice, but for now i've never felt completly overpowered at the end of my succefull runs. Some build can be a bit tedious to play but most of them have their unique mechanic. Pretty much well balanced between difficulty and fun for me
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game with lots to it. Worth the money. The game is not difficult. Don't know where people get this from.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fateful collision at the software factory left two engineers in disarray: "Hey! You got your tactical roguelite in my mix-and-match enginebuilder!" "Hey! You got your mix-and-match enginebuilder in my tactical roguelite!" 5 hours in and loving every minute. Everything the game offers me is something I go "ooh, yes, I want that, just give me lots of those," and I haven't even gotten good at the deckbuilding yet, I'm just smashing things together until numbers get big and I'm having a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loving it ! The progression is very satisfying, any effect can be hovered which helps a lot with understanding what's going on. Congrats devs !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I would like to see more tile set variety, the game does have a massive amount of depth and build variety. I can tell I am going to sink an easy 20-40 hours in this game just messing around with the group buffs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, really enjoyable from start to finish! I didn't run into a single bug during my whole playthrough, which is always a pleasure. The progression curve is really well designed. It keeps you motivated and constantly rewards you without ever feeling grindy. I finished Tenet in about 35 hours and loved every minute of it. Highly recommended if you enjoy the genre!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing Roguelite tactical rpg. Been waiting for a game like this since Mewgenics. Tons of variety and builds with an awesome meta progression. 10/10 so far
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really addictive and well balanced tactical rogue-like. The runs are not too long, and I really feel the will to start a new one after each failure or success. Meta progression feels impactful just enough, without making you overpowered. I get the feeling that playing well (and a bit of luck) should be enough to finish a run without requiring a grind. The art, although not outstanding, is pretty good, with a vague Moebius inspiration. The story is rather in the background and can be either…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve only scratched the surface of this game so far, but I already like it a lot. It blends excellent ideas from various other games quite well. It requires a lot of thought, yet the pace picks up as you gain experience. The gameplay is very fluid, which makes it a real pleasure to play. However, there are some issues with visual clarity. It’s an unforgiving game in terms of difficulty; that might be a problem for some, but not for me. Well done.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun roguelite with challenging settings. The art, the lore and the soundtrack are gorgeous.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's ok if you can stomache the usual autobattler thing of migrain inducing minutia best understood via a spreadsheet. If you want clean, intelligible decisions that respect your time ala slay the spire, you will be dissapointed. The gameplay is largely fake, this is an autobattler in disguise.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's hard, but meta progress eases that. Havin' a blast tryin' to crack it as is. Some builds feel awesome but still hit the third act humblin'
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Already excellent and addictive at this stage.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's quite a nice game, even while still in early access. Looking forward to see how it gets better
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deified is a cool roguelite tactical game, maybe not as good as the percentage of positive reviews suggests, but it's worth playing for sure, or at least wishlisting until a full release. Few minus points for having an achievement that is not currently available. You can't 100% this game on steam at the moment.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really pleasant roguelike with a great variety, interesting gameplay and build system, great meta progression and artstyle I find some bosses a bit challenging and other not on the same "power level", maybe a few of them could be tuned down a little (or other up) but exept once, I always feel responsible for my wins or loses It's a great game and can't wait to play the full game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a hidden gem! For anyone who is craving for some tactics, this little game is for you! I'm amazed how many relics are in the game and how well they work with each other, I'm super pleased with the combat and I had to scratch my head hard in order to defeat some bosses. I have to say that the game hook me in an unexpected way, and I just realized that more than 6hs passed! Looking forward to see how the game will look on its 1.0 version! To the devs, good luck and thanks for making…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This review is during Early Access. I've got about 40 plus hours into the game at the time of this review, and have beaten all but two of the Lords. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes turned based tactical combat, rogue-lite games, and really fun builds. This game has many unique character build opportunities throughout a run. The builds are not the "standard" you see in a lot of similar games. They do offer some interesting new build synergies/mechanics. Each weapon consists of a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun roguelike. Definitely worth the price of admission. The initial presentation seems a bit minimal, but the gameplay depth is definitely already here. I liked the general atmosphere, artstyle and music a lot. It's a bit rough around the edges in some spots, but I'm sure the early access will benefit the game for QoL changes. I think my main gripe is not seeing the boss beforehand, only to be hard countered with little room to pivot. My experience was an ego build pitted against elite…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a little rough around the edges at some points, but the gameplay is great! incredible style too. the upgrade trees scratch just the right itches!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very competent tactical Roguelite. Combat is fun and with the different upgrades engaging enough to keep you going run after run. It is quite difficult which is something I appreciate (I'm not an expert in tactics games but I play a lot of roguelikes) BUT - only a handful of upgrades are interesting/meaningful enough to consider investing in, and the meta progression as of right now is VERY slow (which, to be fair, is mostly the reason why the game feels hard.) Some constructive criticism/…
