Players widely agree this sequel is a significant improvement over the first game, with better quality of life and less grinding. [1][2][3][4] Many find it a charming, cozy farming sim with a heartwarming story and beautiful watercolor visuals. [5][6][7][8] Some reviewers warn it is short, repetitive, and overpriced, recommending a sale purchase. [9][10][11]

TL;DR: Other than stories (which is 9/10 coming from a Doraemon fan), the game is below average to me. Not to mention it is extremely repetitive and short. Couldn't bring myself to recommend it at this price, even after 20% sale I got this game from, it is still way overpriced. May be try it when it is $10 or less. P/S: Take a look at everyone's "time on record" in review section, you will see how short this game …

After finishing the story, I gotta say that it's leagues above the first one! The companion system is immensely useful and I hope they keep working on that feature. It just adds to that sense of family sorely missing in the previous game. Additionally, working on your relationships with everyone is now more streamlined with "quests" and a better way to identify events via the map. Beyond the QoL changes, the game …

please don't expect too much of this game. I know it doesn't hold the candle to any other game like stardew and such. However it has it own charm. First the visual is very soothing because of water color style. The music is also clam and cheerful. Even though the game start off very slow pace but this game is also make for children to enjoy too. That's why this game doesn't have much to offer but family friendly and …

10/10 Masterpiece! Thank you so much for releasing this sequel on PC, Bandai Namco. This game is SOOOO MUCH better than the first game. The story mode is more interesting, you don't have to grind as much, the locations look amazing, the soundtrack is cozy and relaxing as always. Basically all the problems of the previous game have been fixed in this one. You can check out my review of …

60 of 79 · most liked firstwell, it's exactly the same with the last one. i mean like the vibes in the game the town, rivers, mountains, forests, waterfall, bugs, trees etc. if you've never played the first one i think you will like this a lot I just expected that it will be different because this is like a new story line in the new world. but also there're more things to do and places to go. - deep sea - sky farm - the field - 2 player mode the part that i like is Noby lives together with his friends in the same house…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ah yes, Doraemon the game, only been waiting 30 years for this. I've never seen Nobita work this hard, besides that... so far this game is very good. It has classic HM/SOS gameplay but the graphics, music and story element feel more modern. It has my favorite type of art style yet for this type of game. I bought it the day it released, pretty much on a whim, and I have to say that I couldn't be happier. It is such a chill game and I love that there is so much story to it. At first, the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Compared to the first game, there is much less grinding. A lot of improvement on quality of life stuffs, such as tracking quests, events and so on. It's a simple, fun, game, with Doraemon characters in it. Worth every minute playing it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I picked up the second Doraemon x Story of Seasons crossover game, Doraemon Story of Seasons: The Great Kingdom. So now I own both of them 😊

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a lot like the first game except it's better in every way. One of the biggest upgrades, imo, is that you have a much easier time getting characters to like you with all the daily quests and such. So the relationships develop at a decent clip and there is a steady sense of progress. The second massive improvement is that Doraemon's gadgets get unlocked way earlier, so they actually make a substantial difference. In general, there is just a great sense of harmony between gameplay and…

neutral · AI labelView post →Pro : - Amazing landscape and layout - Helpful in-game tutorial - Can take a nap to restore stamina - Easily decorate your farm Cons : - No Difficulty Modes (Earning money is too easy, selling item price too high while buying animal is super cheap. Would be nice if there is game mode like SOS Friend of Mineral Town) - NPC have weird like/loved gift (Some would be really easy to get, while the other is very hard) - Fishing is boring (No minigame or something like that)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →love this game so much
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven't tried playing the first one but this game is really good on it's own. Doesn't seem like you need to play the first one to understand this one (or the story) at all. There's quite alot of quality of life improvements that I'd like to point out. - Time skipping. Don't need to wait by standing, you just need to nap PLUS you get some of your energy back. - Quest Log - is a great addition so I can keep track of things. - Instant Tool Upgrades - No need to wait days to upgrade your tools.…

positive · AI labelView post →i can already tell without having finished the game, not even close. that this gameplay is much more enjoyable, in every aspect compared to the first doraemon game. the first doraemon game was torture and annoying. but this one is doesnt leave you in the dust, you know what to do. yeah definitely better than the first one, but i still felt like the endgame lacked content, it got a bit repetetive/boring. they should go the "rune factory route" with a bit of combat of some sort , slightly rpg,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just imagining something about Hyde, Inc. who developed new Everybody's Golf Shot.. what if bamco license popolocrois from sony and using the engine from Doraemon Story of Seasons which is that game is marvelous subcontract with bamco (I felt like it was same engine as RtP).

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great. It has big improvements since the previous game, and is far more enjoyable and easier to both manage and play. Most of the old stuff from the previous game is in this game, along with some new things and a mess load of quality of life features and improvements. I'd say of the two Doraemon Story of Seasons games, this is a significantly superior version of the two. I do think that the previous game is worth playing, but this one is so much better that if I had to choose…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it is straight up impossible to remap the controller in-game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DORAEMON STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of the Great Kingdom is a farming simulation that deliberately trades complexity for warmth, wrapping familiar genre mechanics in a gentle, story-driven framework shaped by the Doraemon universe. Developed by Marvelous Inc., it doesn’t try to reinvent the farming sim formula so much as soften it—removing pressure, smoothing progression, and placing greater emphasis on relationships and narrative. The result is a game that feels less like a sandbox and more…

positive · AI labelView post →Very recommended for Doraemon lovers. The game is fun, not that simple, sometimes boring due tue repetitive task. But the story inside the game is really good and entertaining.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall an enjoyable and very beautiful game. Characters are cute and entertaining and the story is light-hearted and easy to follow. Gameplay wise, compared to the previous entry in the series, the gameplay is much improved. Many of my issues playing the first game were resolved in this one. Definitely recommend if you enjoy farming sims in general.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My first experience with this type of game was during gba Harvest moon : Mineral town. good game for farmer life in a village community. but this one is better for children. with the additional of great artstyle and Doraemon a childhood franchise this bring huge nostalgia to old player. The end game doesnt make you feel your done with the farm life and have family. instead it give a great message that dont make you feel trapped forever but as one of the memory you will cherish in your life.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this reminds me of getting Doraemon: Story of Seasons for the kids. Turned out that this slow game about farming and making friends was too grindy to feel fun, even if the cozy vibes were there.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know I've mentioned this before, but I want to shout out Doraemon: Story of Seasons as one of the best recent farming/life sim games of the last 5 years. Easy to miss if you're not a Doraemon fan, but it's just straight up a Harvest Moon game with Doraemon characters. Super relaxing/charming!
