Review from the perspective of a dad with very limited time: Honestly, a terrible choice if you’re looking for a quick gaming session. A single run can take up to 40 minutes, and since you cannot pause the game, this becomes a real problem — especially in Duo or Trio. You cannot simply pause an online multiplayer game! Someone on twitter mentioned wanting to see an Armored Core boss in Elden Ring Nightreign. And honestly? If they're gonna be that loose about the lore and use stuff from across the different games, that would be so sick. If the game is gonna be stupid, it should be like, REALLY stupid.

My review for this game will remain negative until they stop penalizing me in Deep of Night when both other players leave the game. I should not have to play every single match solo just to advance in Deep of Night. It is absolutely ridiculous to lose 200 or more points for leaving a match that both other players already left.

They really need to incorporate a penalty system for disconnecting from games. Deep of night mode is unplayable in solo and filled with brainless monkeys (most likely apex or fortnite players) that disconnect as soon as they go down once during a fight. Since deep of night is technically a ranked mode with a point system, it really makes no sense why there isnt a penalty for leaving literally RANKED MATCHES. At the very least there should be a timer penalty for leaving, to deal with the…

I Have Mixed Feelings If you're here for the combat, Nightreign delivers. The fighting responsive, and satisfying. Each class plays distinctly enough to encourage experimentation, and boss encounters are intense and memorable. If you're drawn to Souls games for their world-building, exploration, and sense of discovery, this might not be the experience you're looking for. Nightreign strips away much of the adventure in favor of a hyper-focused boss gauntlet structure. A 40-minute slog just to…

The content is stale and after 9 months they have only added 2 new playable characters, 2 new nightlords, and one new map (shifting earth, not counting the night bosses and such because technically they are not new). My review is as a solo player As a solo player the base game was fine enough. There aren't that many bosses that feel strictly balanced around having a party so it was fine enough to play and I could enjoy myself most of the time. The new update has made it feel like solo play is straight up no longer viable. I played for 4 hours today and didn't go against a boss that feels balanced around a single player at all, not did I really have any amount of fun trying despite that. The absolutely…

A game with a huge potential, untapped, and forgotten six months after the DLC release. We supposedly know how FromSoftware works – they don't perform well in any PvP/coop formats. But it's simply sad that such a good game, which could have been pushed forward with new content, was forgotten in favor of a switch exclusive, which, by the way will end up the same way as nightreign. Just disappointed.

At first, you feel like you are jumping into a copy-paste Elden Ring, then you realize you can't remap controls the same way and that all those NG+7000 matches you did meant nothing, because you keep losing. Then, you learn to embrace the flow of this game, and truly love it, you even go back to ER and keep crouching (that is how much you got NR in your head). As a player with 1200+ hours on Elden Ring, thousands more consuming content, hundreds of hours on Nightreign, and 12+ years of FromSoft gaming, it's actually really fun to play. They also did a great job adapting the game to their own style, and setting it apart from the inspiration. They deserve a lot of credit. While this game does suffer from a lot of missed potential, ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN and its DLC provide hundreds of hours of fun; it easily kept my friends and I hooked and grinding for months. The main idea of NIGHTREIGN is to condense the classic ELDEN RING experience down into a 45 minute run with randomized bosses, points of interest and weapons, and make it cooperatively playable up to 3 people. ELDEN RING NIGHTEIGN isn't exactly a roguelike, but it definitely plays like one. And a kind…

400+ hours, from a perspective of a "souls" player the game is pretty fun mostly the depth of night, because it challenges you to become a "better player"... I like that this doesn't have any "cool" reward because from software always has been a company who see everyone as equals and not because you're high rank you are better than someone who plays for fun with their friend for example. incredible experience to play with friends. It’s extremely fun and engaging. I really hope release even more DLCs for it in the future

Game is in a much better state than launch, pretty fun though it would be nice if it got more continuous support and content than just the one DLC.

Nightreign plays a lot like Elden Ring but without the time you need to catch your breath. Everything is at a faster pace; there always seems to be something out to get you, and most of the time, you are busy running around hoping to find something useful before night comes to get you. For 40 minutes, I loot explore as hard as I can, and my 40 minutes is a roulette chance of getting relevant items. I can't tell you how many times I look at items on the ground and 90% of them are boost incantations, weapon thrust attacks, or some other random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over and over. Meanwhile I'm entering boss…

Just a very quick morning warm up sketch. I didn't play the network test beta of Elden Ring Nightreign but I was still excited about the Guardian character! Maybe I'll make some proper art of him (her?) when the game comes out :) #furry #furryart #sketch
