Been following this game since I saw it on IGN's Rogue Jam a few years ago, and have been playing it since last year in beta testing. This game is incredibly tactical with really cool weapons and gadgets that feel powerful. Has tons of content. Definitely check this game out. It also works flawlessly on Steam Deck. I am so excited the game has finally released and can't wait for more.

Great game. Turns out what I needed to enjoy bullet hell games was for them to be turn based. Took a run or two to get into the flow but I've had a blast with this (at the expense of work I should be doing - very much a 'just one more run' type game). Doesn't feel early access at all, could pass as a complete game. There's a lot of depth to build mechanics that feel really fresh and unique once you get your head …

Takeaways from Steam Next Fest : February '26 from a player perspective. ::: spoiler Inside this spoiler: boring yapping that gives more context ↓ I've been playing demos from the Steam Next Fest religiously since it started (back then it was just called Steam Games Festival I think, it was around 2021). I want to like this. I hope to come back after a few updates because there is a really cool idea here but needs a lot of polish. A key problem for me is the total unpredictability around A) action resolution B) incoming damage of projectiles, and the related C) of getting essentialy one shot by a late run explosion. Sometimes a pellet will bounce off my Bear for 3 (-1) damage. Another one will take a huge chunk. "A man runs at me with a chainsaw? No worries i can repel him.... oh - he took…

I did 7DRL alongside someone when I was living at Spelkollektivet in 2020. They made a real fancy game where each dungeon floor was a cross section of a sphere, all on a radial grid. Anyway his commercial release of Enter the Chronosphere is sometime this year and I hope it does numbers :D

It is remarkable how often I look at a choice this game puts in front of me and go, "Okay, so I know this isn't the correct decision, but." and then some portion of the enemies turn into exploding cows and your lizardcritter flying kicks them and makes them double explode and it's great Anyway, if you're into turn based bullet hells this is probably your jam. Hours and hours on the demo (which had PLENTY of content by the way) and now I'm planning more hours and hours on the EA version. Perfect game? I'm going to go ahead and drop the same review here I did on GOG... I've obviously not finished the game yet, but as an early impression this game is ridiculously cool. I personally love the art style and color pallet, though I realize they are not for everyone. Luckily what you see is what you get, if you look at the screen shots and art and it grabs ya, that's what you are getting. It's a true rouge like in that every action is actually a turn and it always goes your turn, their turn. I…

I've played quite a few iterations of Enter the Chronosphere, from the original gamejam version with ASCII art til now, in early access. It would be easy to say that the game has transformed, that it's almost unrecognisable of its roots, but what is incredible to me though, is that if you played the original release side by side with this, you can feel that they're the same game. They have the same heart and soul. If any game, especially an action roguelike, can communicate and execute it's…

It's a fun game even in my first hour of playing it. But the game requires a lot of mouse clicks though, so if you're like me who have fragile fingers and RSI issues, you might want to reconsider purchasing it unless you're willing to play in short bursts and play slowly. I love that *theoretically* I should be able to take my time and plan every move with perfect clarity, but that I get so into the rhythm and the moment that I end up making reckless moves. It's a clever game with fun turn-based bullet-hell decisions, great weapons, and genuinely funny writing. My biggest complaint is that I sometimes forget the right controller-combo for a particular move, since they're all "trigger + X to do Y"

I like the combination of turn based tactics, roguelike, and bullet hell: it really gives you a chance to think and plan your moves, since things only go when you do. Using enemy attacks against other enemies is fun and rewarding. There is a good variety of weapons and abilities. I wish it was easier to differentiate between enemies and other objects. Works well on the Steam Deck once you get used to the gamepad controls (which are shown on-screen).

Incredibly high quality for an early access title, been a while since I played a roguelike this much in such a short span of time. The "SUPERHOT" time mechanic is the core of the game and is very enjoyable to play around with. A lot of unique guns, items, passives and the playable characters feel distinct. The sound effects are satisfying and crunchy as well. My only gripes currently - low passive gear/active item pool so I often end up using the same ones. Final boss is also rarely…

This game is SOOO amazing! While I've long been a fan of twin-stick shooters, as a nearly 60 year old dude, I've long lost the reflexes to get anywhere in them. In Chronosphere, by plotting every move out in the tiniest of time slices, you get to play an incredibly intense bullet-hell of a game in perpetual Matrix bullet time. Take as long as you need to plot out each move, heck, go ahead and take a quick bathroom break, everything will remain frozen until you plot your next move. You then…

Been following this for a long time, and it’s finally out! And I can say Enter the Chronosphere is brilliant. It immediately catches your eye with its colourful art style and animated cutscenes. But it doesn’t stop there. The gameplay lives up to the art, with a fast-paced, turn-based system that keeps things fluid without sacrificing the tactical aspect. I didn’t want to spend five hours on it on release day, but I couldn’t put it down, and despite the high difficulty and sucking a it, every…

Strong recommend. The style is gorgeous and well executed. The gameplay itself always feels like a fun puzzle. So many of the weapons are amazingly designed, and the quickdraw mechanic is a really clever and well implemented answer to the classic problem of having one op gun. The way ammunication and reloading is also really well executed for the most part with synergies and non-bos to go for and avoid. The light progression with quests and unlocks is satisfying and a nice blend of vague…

Today's indie game: Enter the Chronosphere (store.steampowered.com/app/1969810/..., available on Steam, Itch). It's basically what happens if you take Nuclear Throne and make it turn-based like SUPERHOT. Not perfect, there are some parts of this that felt less than great, but it's... interesting.

Hey Effort Star Games! Without doing a ton of research upfront, I'm guessing that 'Enter the Chronosphere' is the most ambitious project yet from a young, unconventional team? Weapons and combos are fantastic and hit all the right spots to give you that power fantasy when the mods just hit *chefs kiss*. Ticks all the addictive boxes that a roguelike does and leaves you wanting to dive right back in after a session! I've been playing this with an Xbox controller on my TV and it feels spot on. I've already recommended this game to a few friends irl.…
