Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 246 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mostly Positive (7,083 of 8,972 positive).
The game's narrative is widely described as starting strong but becoming chaotic and ridiculous in the second half. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note that the remaster suffers from bugs, crashes, and poor optimization on modern systems. [4][5][6]

IF: you have played this in your childhood and miss the nostalgia, feel free to buy it and reminisce. BUT IF: you stumbled upon this game have no clue what it is and plan to buy it due to low price DON'T. Gameplay is pure QTE which if you played modern games lately and play this, IT WILL BE UNBEARABLY ANNOYING. I suggest watching the story on YouTube instead and save yourself some money. PLUS: Game crashes MID story …

Okay, I love story-driven games, and I grew up in this era of gaming so the graphics are fine by me (though I never played Indigo Prophecy until now), and I think I can even handle jank better than some other people. I liked Heavy Rain even though it had flawed. But this has to be one of the worst story-based games I've played and I have no desire to finish it after nearly 4 hours with it. Don't get me wrong, it …

(English) Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered successfully brings a cult-classic interactive thriller into the modern era while preserving the strange charm that made the original memorable. The updated textures, improved models, and widescreen support make the game more accessible to new players, though it still clearly shows its early-2000s roots. The story remains the strongest part of the experience. Its …

Honestly, this “remaster” feels like they pressed F9, added a blurry HD filter, and called it a day. Ran into plenty of classic issues during the playthrough too: random crashes, freezes, the game just straight up dying for no reason. The usual. After looking it up, I found out the original released in 2005 and this remaster came out in 2015. But genuinely, I still have no clue what exactly got remastered here. …

When I was a teenager, I played this game and I absolutely loved it. Now that I am older, I actually understand the story properly, and I can clearly see that the entire plot is literally held together with duct tape. This is the classic David Cage game formula: his stories start off really, really strong in the beginning, lose the plot completely in the middle where all the plot holes wide open, and the ending is …

neutral · AI labelView post →I want to preface this by saying, this is not a bad game. And if you are a fan of other Quantic Dream games or this style of game, like Heavy Rain or Detroit: Become Human then this is worth playing at least once. The reason I cannot recommend this is not because the game is overall bad. In fact I think the campy nature of the events at times coupled with the old 2000s animations are great. The story is interesting but has a few things in it that seem odd or out of place. Mostly towards the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series, and any Telltale game. I never saw the appeal. I'm not talking about their quality, but they've never appealed to me at all. Same goes for David Cage's games. I think Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy killed my interest in them.
negative · AI labelView post →Once upon a time in the distant year of our lord 2009 I once watched a friend attempt to beat this game. He got walled because he kept getting killed by his Ikea furniture in his poorly furnished apartment. I didn't think much as to why this was, in fact I found his struggle amusing. Fast forward to now and I am no longer laughing. After finally forcing myself to finish the game for myself I can say safely that this is simultaneously the best and worst David Cage game out of the bunch.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In short — if you intend to play it yourself, then it’s better if you don’t. Watch it on YouTube in peace. At the moment of writing, it sits at “Mostly Positive,” but that doesn’t say much, because I genuinely don’t understand why anyone would recommend this game as a game. The controls are weird, but you can live with that. The graphics are awful for a remaster, but that’s not really a problem since it’s an old game and expectations are low. What I didn’t expect was being forced to press…

Do yourself a favor and play this game all the way too the end. It will be the most worthwhile thing you ever do. 10/10 absolute insanity. Best worst game I've ever played. Please give me a Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy 2 I beg.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even in 2026, almost 20 years after its release, this game still plays amazingly well. The graphics might be old, but honestly, you stop noticing it very quickly. The story keeps you hooked the whole time, and you actually start to care about the main characters. The atmosphere is great too, thanks to the soundtrack. It takes around 9 hours to finish, and you can even get all the achievements in that time. Definitely recommend it if you enjoy interactive movie games with a twisted story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok, let's adress the elephant in the room right from the start... In my experience and from what I've gathered on the Steam forums, this game is barely playable on a modern PC before you perform all these steps: * Open the games' folder. * Right-click the .exe file, choose Properties -> Compabilitiy -> GPI settings -> Override DPI scaling. * Right-click the games' folder and change permissions to Read AND write for all files and subfolders. * Delete the games' .ini file. * Check integrity in…

These LLMs have only been around for a few years, and have only gotten semi competent at generating code for even less time. There is no data or evidence that it helps people learn programming, and plenty of evidence that they do the opposite. So avoid it. Pick a simple project, and see how far you can get. American Psycho meets the Matrix, with a healthy dose of Apocalypto, SE7EN, the X-Files and Metal Gear Solid. This is the kind of movie Paul W.S Anderson would have made, if not for his sole focus being on ruining the Resident Evil films. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite games ever. The starting point of my acknowledgment that games can be different - not only platformers or shooters; they can also give you a choice. A beginning of the era of big cinema-like game development. The predecessor of the amazing Detroit, the almost perfect Heavy Rain, and the good but repetitive Beyond: Two Souls. Great story, characters that hook you from the first minutes. A perfect first title in this kind of game if you haven’t played anything like it before.

[url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45534557/]@MatureContent There is something really special about the early to mid 2000s graphics and the way they create tension and horror like aesthetics, something that isn’t really possible in the same way with the games we have today. But the game being this old unfortunately also means it comes with all the quirks games at that time had, and that part didn’t age as well. Without…

neutral · AI labelView post →It was alright. MIXED review. Interesting game but it's definitely showing its age. The opening is fantastic. You wake up in a diner bathroom having just killed a guy with no idea why, and you've got a few minutes to hide the body before the cop outside walks in. That whole sequence is genuinely great and the story stays gripping for the first half. Then it goes completely off the rails. Without spoiling it, the back half gets ridiculous and it never recovers. Design wise it's very much an old…

neutral · AI labelView post →While Fahrenheit starts out very strong as you're playing both a man manipulated to commit a murder and the police officers chasing after him, it loses all semblence of coherence and plot about half-way through as it jumps the shark high enough to reach the moon. It, understandably, isn't as deep as Quantic Dream's later games in term of systems and player choice, but the moment I found out that after failing a sequence the game justs kicks you back to the start of the scene (on most…

neutral · AI labelView post →This game is terrible. The story is nonsensical garbage, the gameplay is clunky, and the creative choices are awful. Furthermore, this PC port/"remaster" is a total mess that's held together with Aspyr-branded glue sticks. However, this is also one of the funniest games I ever played. It's like Garth Marenghi's Darkplace but it's made completely unironically, which makes it even more entertaining. By pure accident, the game is an interactive miracle. It's peak so-bad-it's-good.
