DON'T BUY THIS GAME ! Fairy Fencer Advent Dark Force is an enhanced version of this one, even if nothing is writen on the steam page ! And is you really want to play this one, be aware it's a very average JRPG...

Fairy Fencer F is a decently entertaining game that doesn't take itself too seriously. Similar to some other Idea Factory games (such as the Neptunia games), the dialogue is witty and the characters are fun. The game plays out more like a visual novel with dungeons. Go grind a dungeon, get some dialogue, beat a boss, come back to base, turn in/accept new quests (almost all fetch/kill quests), more dialogue that sets …

Great game and severely underrated. Fantastic story, although the combat is pretty mediocre. Kinda sad that I got this and Dark Advent Force at the same time thinking it was a sequel. I would have played that otherwise but was already halfway through this when I realised so I got a refund on that. But still very happy with this game overall, I would love it if this got a sequel but that doesn't look too likely …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good game but you want to grab the [url=store.steampowered.com/app/524580]enhanced remake as it has more content, better graphics and various quality of life improvements. This old version is only for collectors.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force is the better version of the game. Instead of just updating the base version to include the improvements for free (or selling them as a DLC), Idea Factory sells it as a separate game.

neutral · AI labelView post →Fairy Fencer F is the epitome of repetitive gameplay and tedious grind. One of the core mechanics is actually play through the story until you reach a critical point, then travel back in time to the very beginning and repeat the process. On the second iteration you can get past the critical point and finish the story. But you have to play new game plus because on your first playthrough you can't get all fairys, let alone specific endings or items. The game has at least one achievement that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I received this game for free by means of winning a random drawing. Whether you get the game or not, please take into consideration that this is - as far as I can tell from video footage as well as reading other comments/reviews/walkthroughs - an objectively inferior version of the game. I have not as of yet found people who prefer this version of the game to "Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force," which is the same storyline but with a multitude of changes, including double the party size (six…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fairy Fencer F its a good RPG game , they looks very familiar like Hyperdimension Neptunia characters , The graphics are fine for a 2015 game , gameplay and mechanics are different comparing with HDN RB1 , but the story looks very interesting. Thanks Nepjor friend for recommend me meeting Faity Fencer F game~.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I ragequit Fairy Fencer F just *before* the final boss fight because there's a series of platforms you have to jump across (I should note that platform jumping was pretty rare in the game) because after falling 30 times I couldn't do it anymore.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be honest, the major reason I purchased this game was because Tiara resembles Nepgear, and the second reason was because of the developer. It features comparable gameplay to the Hyperdimension Neptunia games, so if you enjoy them, I recommend purchasing this game as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cant even lie... this random bandit got a chuckle out of me with this line lmao [Game: Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force]
positive · AI labelView post →I really enjoy this game. I like the story, characters, and the turn-based combat. It doesn't take that long to beat the game - ignore my long playtime. That being said, I wouldn't recommend the game. It's engine is outdated and it crashes somewhat often. Running as admin and running it in compatibility mode does help. (Thank you poster.) However, you'll still get the crash on occasion. Grinding is a feature in this game. A lot of grinding is needed to see all the endings (and thus the story).…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game 36: Fairy Fencer F I'm in shock lol. Pretty challenging game imo Only issues are a difficulty curve towards the end and needing to grind a bit Overall, the game was really good 8.5/10
positive · AI labelView post →And don’t forget that Nobuo Uematsu worked on Fairy Fencer F. There were moments when I enjoyed that game.
neutral · AI labelView post →Intro As many people know this is the obsolete version of the 2 not having the bonus content and the more fleshed out story but disregarding this game would be an insult to the first attempt of the newly created Galapagos under Compile Hearts watch. This was the second JRPG I played funny enough so it does get nostalgia points but with that being said how does it hold up? Story Fairly simple plot you're the hero named Feng who has to help his Fury companion to collect all the Furies to revive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game. Old school style. Fluid controls and full controller support. Decent voice acting (Japanese) with voice actors from other games/anime that you will recognize. Likeable characters and a smart level up system. Great character design and soundtrack. Had some issues with crash at start up, fixed with Codec Tweak Tool as recommended in Steam discussion forum. Kudos.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In my ongoing and likely futile effort to write a Steam review for every game in my library (#106 out of 555)... it's time for Fairy Fencer F. I put 9 hours of my life into this game. I remember exactly nothing. I have this vague recollection of it being kinda generic, but that's all. Idea Factory games in general tend to be pretty underwhelming, but wow, this one was especially unmemorable.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wouldn't say Idea Factory have a good franchise, but once in a blue moon they do release a good game. Fairy Fencer F and Mary Skelter are probably their best games.

neutral · AI labelView post →Grinding 100M G is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ achievement I've ever tried to grind. 350 hours and I'm still not there. I come back to it every year or so and tack on another 3-4 hours of grinding money. Anyway, the rest of the game is ok. Very anime.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Anime sleevy angsty boi adventures the game. Pros: - Cute monsters - It's voice acted - I liked the combat style Cons: - Boob game by people who've never seen boobs - Lazy food motivated protag kinda tired... - Kinda repetative It's overall okay. Not bad, not great, okay. I give it 3/5 possessed swords.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sleeping Dogs pulled me in real hard. I‘m super salty there‘s no Sleeping Dogs 2, I loved everything about this game. If any of you like GTA style gameplay, Sleeping Dogs is that plus kung fu movie flair (even has a cheesy king fu story DLC). Nioh, Nioh 2, Code Vein, Dark Souls 2 (I know), Fairy Fencer F, and Ni no Kuni 2 also put me in chains. Crusader Kings III has no real story but it made so many evenings disappear that I try to legit stay away from it lol
neutral · AI labelView post →So far I've only completed the game once but I'm looking forward NG+. Basically long story short - interesting and charming story with pleasant graphic, good music and (if you fall behind with lvl) a challenge. Worth a while and a its price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Splendid anime jrpg with good story, cute characters and good gameplay, and great graphic. Run on corridor maps and attack mobs. Fight in turns using skills. Equip your team in gear, upgrade their stats and become stronger. Deffinitly must play for fans of jrpg games with cute anime girls.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game with a great story premise! Definitely would give a 20/10, but that's just because I've grown attached to the characters (especially Cui) so I'm biased. Pros: -great voice acting -smooth animation and beautiful art style -a really intriguing storyline that's immersive and makes you feel like you're interacting with an anime -fun dlc -tons of content and stuff to do in general -multiple characters that you can alternate to whatever style works best for you, along with changing each…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Welcome to the dark side! You were one of the people who were going to get one eventually, but what made you finally take the plunge? Which other Compile Heart / Idea Factory games do you think are worth playing? I have a few of them on my wishlist, but haven't looked them up in detail recently so not sure if they are worth the time. Namely, Death end Re;quest, Fairy Fencer F and Mary Skelktor. There might be more but these are the "oldest" ones in my list. I loved Muramasa: The Demon Blade!…

positive · AI labelView post →A game called Fairy Fencer F had a similar issue that the DMC HD Collection (with a similar solution). Regarding indie games with low system requirements, I did do videos on Freedom Planet 1 & 2, Nitro Express, and Streets of Rage 4. Thanks to you, I may consider doing a video on Cuphead.
neutral · AI labelView post →On the surface , the game seemed like it was just 90% visual novel with some interaction. However, that was just the introduction. Back to the visual novel, the characters who seemed cookie cutter end up having lots of depth and backstory to them. There is a good place to grind in the game and leveling characters are a pretty fun grind. If you have got only a few minutes to spare, this game was designed to take care of you in the Tower for grinding. Character animations in battle are cool and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hey god, long time fan, first time reviewer. why couldn't they bring out the other version sooner? still played. still gud, tho grindy. but less Ethel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A less interesting palette swap of Neptunia that lacks any of the fun or emotional investment of that game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For those who like RPGs and also Light Novel games, this game is a perfect mashup of both. It's game mechanics are simple and easy to understand and the story, while a bit cliche is also interesting. I have put over 100 hours into for a reason. 9/10 would reccomend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a little overshadowed by Neptunia, but I still love how this is taken a little more seriously than the aforementioned series.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still working on the last 3 achievements, a little bit grindy in that department but still a great game. The combat is fun, the characters are cute (especially Fang imo), and it's easy to jump into playing for only an hour or two, save and exit if you have somewhere to be.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mind you, it doesn't have to strictly be one character design or a gacha example or whatever One I love to bring up is Amano doing artwork for Fairy Fencer F (the Idea Factory/Compile Heart game)
neutral · AI labelView post →Buy Advent Dark Force instead, it has a lot of QOL features that this version lacks. Only grab this one if you are really really interested in seeing the original version of the game as ADF is not just a 1-1 upgrade (though is a smoother experience)

positive · AI labelView post →For reference on that remark, the other game is Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord. Neptunia Re;Birth1 is an odd case since while the 3 Vita lists, the 3 PS4 lists, and the 4 versions of Reverse do add up to 10 lists, the plat route for Reverse is fundamentally different from Re;Birth1's plat route.
