I don't know where to start, because everything about this game was absolutely terrible. At the beginning, we get introduced to the two antagonists of the game. Two teenage girls who are about five feet tall and probably weight 100lbs soaking wet yet lead a dangerous post apocalyptic bandit gang. Why do hundreds of violent psychos follow these two? We're never told. I guess because they're mean and their dad used to …

I can’t support the addition of a health bar system in a Far Cry game. Landing a clean headshot only for it not to be a one shot kill completely kills the experience for me. It undermines what the series used to do so well grounded, immersive gunplay that rewarded precision. The RPG style mechanics, including enemy levels and damage numbers, feel completely out of place and take away from the raw, chaotic realism …

Verdict 👍 Recommended (only if you get it for under 5€) I finished Far Cry New Dawn in 8.5 hours and it honestly feels like nothing more than an epilogue — basically a story DLC for Far Cry 5. Graphics the same like in Far Cry 5. Optimization is good (on my PC I get 130-200 fps in 4K Ultra settings without DLSS and Frame Generator). This game have one big problem - I can't finisz the game for bug whom Bugisoft didn't fixed for 7 years... (mission prophecy), so I must give negative review

I’m incredibly frustrated with both Ubisoft and Steam. I bought Far Cry New Dawn on two separate Steam accounts so I could play co-op with a friend, but both purchases were automatically tied to the same Ubisoft account. As a result, I paid for the game twice and can only access it once. When I reached out to Ubisoft support, they told me that game licenses are permanently linked and cannot be changed. Essentially, I’m being penalized because of the poorly designed integration between Steam and…

I will not install your launcher. NO ONE wants your launcher, Ubisoft. Stop trying to shove it down people's throats because you think you can have a piece of the big juicy pile of money Steam makes. We already have Steam, we don't need a worse version of Steam just because it makes you money instead of Valve.

Disclaimer: IF YOU COULD PLAY UBISOFT GAMES THROUGH STEAM THIS WOULD BE A NON ISSUE. Ubisoft is the absolute pits. You can't access ubisoft games you own on Steam without their access portal, and you can't open the games on the access portal without a valid email address. If you can't access said email, you can't play the game via the portal, the game that is open in your steam account, that is downloaded on your computer. Ubisoft portal support offers this solution: you're sending the…

DO NOT buy this game at full price. I liked it at first, the perks and weapons, plus the build your fortress feel, but aside from 30 hours of filler content, the story is ridiculously short. As soon as you start the main story it seem like the game is already over. On top of that they try to get you to buy materials and weapons/clothes which are easy to get later on. This game should have been a DLC for Far Cry 5, not a stand alone game.

I bought this game because it was on sale, it was the last "Far Cry" (bought it before 6 came out) and I never played any in the series. From what I gather it's a standalone DLC for Far Cry 5, so mayyyyybe that's why it's so bad, but that is not an excuse. This is horrendous. What can I say about 'Far Cry: New Dawn'? If I'm being honest with myself, it's an expansion for 'Far Cry 5' that was bloated and padded to the fullest extent in order to justify inflating the price. Does that make it a bad game? No, I don't think so. Is it worth it at full price? No, I don't think so either. Don't get me wrong. There's plenty to like about this title. The visuals, with a colorful spin on a post-nuclear wasteland, are quite nice. Some new weapons, vehicles, and…

Kinda wish this had a middle button because that's how I felt throughout the game. A direct sequel per say to Far Cry 5, a small continuation of the story of Joseph Seed & New Eden with new characters, goals and enemies. Far Cry New Dawn is easily the most different Far Cry game in the series, and that’s honestly why I loved it. The RPG-style systems, perks, tiers, and straight up superpowers completely shake up the usual formula, and the post apocalyptic Hope County is such a cool, colorful contrast to Far Cry 5’s tone. Far Cry New Dawn is a very poor version of a replica of Far Cry 5. The developers literally took one-third of the map from Far Cry 5 and just changed the appearance of the grass and forest. They even managed to turn part of the map into a wasteland, with almost nothing but forests and rivers. The weapons no longer have the option to add attachments, and the enemies have health bars above their heads, as if we're playing some kind of RPG. This is a very slight recommendation. If Steam had a "Meh" button, this game would make the perfect case for it. Far Cry New Dawn suffers from abysmal writing, temu tier wannabe badass antagonist twins, and a story that barely holds together, even if you keep both eyes closed. Honestly, there isn't much depth beyond that. That said, the core gameplay loop is still fun, the combat works well, and the visuals aren't bad. While I loved the game, it's currently broken and they won't do anything to fix it evidently. You get about 40% of the way in and get to a mission that gives no prompt to enter the required vehicle, so you just stand there. It used to work at one time, because I've finished it before. But not anymore. I had the same issue on ps5, so it must be that particular mission that needs patched, but they're unwilling to unless it effects their bottom line.

As a Far Cry installation goes, it's mostly solid. However, it's annoyingly apparent that microtransactions were a major part of the game's design. I'm sure Ubisoft is to blame rather than the dev team as is typically the case. But to be honest, it feels like a bloated DLC for FC 5 that grossly overstayed its welcome. Jumping into it after FC 5 left me with a sour taste. Having your weapons and customization taken away via "here player, put your gear in this bag" multiple times throughout the…

As an avid FC5 fan, this itched the scratch left by completing FC5 for the 180th time. (no exaggeration). Looking for Art in the Nuclear Fallout Far Cry 5’s shadow looms large over New Dawn. A game that feels more like a stepping stone than a fully realized entry in the franchise. This title takes so many systems and mechanics directly from it's predecessor. Not only that it literally takes place in the exact same location, just years after nuclear bombing. This is where the series started going downhill for me. When they added those light RPG things like enemy ranks and health bars, New Dawn just ruined the classic Far Cry vibe. Previously, the focus was all about practical approaches. Then you find out that you can't stealth takedown because your level isn't high enough... The game is fun and it does look great, but the way it plays is a step backward.

A terrible follow-up to Far Cry 5 that could easily have been a DLC. It is just another poorly written post-apocalyptic story and world that is focused more on looking cool than being in any way believable. They also ruined the great gunplay of Far Cry 5 by incorporating RPG-elements to a first person shooter just to add more microtransactions.

Multiplayer is a mess — frequent bugs, getting stuck after teleporting, NPCs teleporting around the map, and even becoming invincible at times. Defintely the worst Far Cry game i've ever played. Story feels tame and too short. Gameplay and upgrades are too repetitive.

Recently I completed Far Cry New Dawn 100% and unlocked all the achievements. Honestly, I really enjoyed the game because of its atmosphere and the post-apocalyptic world. The map isn’t huge, but exploring it was actually really fun. What I liked the most was upgrading the base, driving around different locations, and just causing chaos like in a true Far Cry game. The story was good too, and the twins were pretty memorable villains. While going for 100%, some tasks felt a bit repetitive,…

Story isn't very interesting aside from some parts of Joseph Seed's arc, but gameplay loop, Eden's powers and Expeditions are very fun. 99% of playtime was on Legion Go S Z1E at 800p/Low

Far Cry 3 version whatever. Despite doing the same thing since the third game, Far Cry, which was enjoyable, managed to turn me off with this one. I can't understand how you ruined the classic Far Cry experience. How can you not manage beloved systems like base building and crafting, and why are things like drops, which you added because they were popular at the time, not enjoyable at all? Why did you remove weapon modding? You've ruined the base capture system just to prolong the game. You've…

i was hesitant to play new dawn after seeing all of the lukewarm reviews, but im really glad i gave it a go. 100% the game just today, and i enjoyed every second of it. i will say, i got it on a deep sale in a far cry bundle a while back and i would suggest waiting to pick it up on sale because $40 for a game that came out in 2019 is a bit much especially for how quick this one can be. Beyond that it was a blast. you know what you're in for, it's far cry. it's really just a sandbox to stealth…

A fun game and a worthy continuation from Far Cry 5. The mission design felt better than Far Cry 5, but the story of Far Cry 5 is on another level. The story in this one is good too, but the villains in this one compare to the Seeds in Far Cry 5 are a step down. The inclusion of RPG elements and abilities is done very well. The sense of progression and leveling up as you complete open world activities feels good. For achievement hunters, this can get a bit grindy but overall pretty…

Far Cry New Dawn is a direct sequel to Far Cry 5 and it turned the world into a post-apocalyptic setting with a lot of colorful places. As somebody who really liked Far Cry 5, this was awesome to play and to finally conclude the story of the father. The villains and the story in this game is sadly not as good as the main games, but still enjoyable. They mixed a little RPG elements with the Far Cry formula in this game and I liked it. It made me use a lot of different weapons as I was leveling…

As someone who has beaten every single mainline Far Cry game, this one finally broke my streak. On the bright side, the soundtrack is genuinely good, and the core gunplay feels great—when the game actually lets you play it. Unfortunately, that's rare, because the overall design constantly gets in its own way. The story is completely horrific. The two main villains are utterly awful and entirely unbelievable, and the dialogue throughout the game is a childish, teenage-esque cringe-fest that…

Story building is shallow, they kill off characters like you care about them even though there was 1 minute of introduction and no real reasoning to care for them, no reason to hate the 2 sisters besides them being mean, the thing that makes me love the game tho is the Far Cry mechanics, liberating outposts and how the game plays out is so much fun

Not the best Far Cry game. It's an ubisoft game with the same type of world and missions. Dosn't worth the full price, but with a big discount, it can be fun.
