A common complaint is that save games do not work, making the games unplayable for some. [1][2][3]

I used to love Dungeon Hack back in the day. Imagine how disappointing it is to have one's hopes raised but then to find that you can't even save a game.

Let's get down to brass tacks. you are paying roughly around $6.00 USD for two old DOS based games using DOSBox. These are older Dungeons and Dragons games and they tend to be harder than what people expect. I bought this specifically for Dungeon Hack although I played Menzoberranzen back in the 90's and that was a very good game too. Menzoberranzen, like the Ravenloft games I purchased in another package, seems to be a bit cumbersome when in combat although I can't tell if that's because of the emulator. It might be that's how it actually was and I'm not used to the controls yet. Dungeon Hack is perfect. I'm very happy …

I was asked to run a kids (& parents') Dungeons & Dragons game, so I’m taking a little work break to dust off 3.5 this morning. The ruleset vibes with me more than 5E. Thinking of setting the one-shot (and possibly more) in the Forgotten Realms. Feels like the right setting to hook new players.

I wouldn't even say that BG3 is a soul transplant. It was a good game set in the Forgotten Realms. But there was nothing about it that made it a sequel to Baldur's Gate 1 or 2. It didn't relate to the story, didn't cover the same themes, didn't use the same version of D&D, didn't play the same.

TL; DR This collection includes two games, one of which (Menzoberranzan) is mostly uninteresting, but contains a setting guide for the titular city while the other is good as it is basically Eye of the Beholder with a dungeon generator.
