Players nostalgic for the TV show enjoy the game, especially at a discount. [1][2][3] Many reviewers criticize the limited content and high full price. [4][5][6] Some find the game fun as a casual party game with friends. [7][4][5]

Most importantly, no Melinda Messenger. The challenges are lacking, some even look/play the same, so that means even less variety. Feels like a money grab at best, the price is absurd, if you can get it in a bundle with other games then good, otherwise avoid in a large circle.

So, where do i start...I like the game because it brings me back to my childhood when i watched the TV show. The graphics are decent overall, but bad comapre to other 2019 games. The gameplay Is nice, but there aren't a lot of minigames that you can play and it gets annoying to listen to the same 2 voice lines that are recorded but maybe that's just me. Big disadvantage are the controls - They feel clunky and its …

I dont care about negative reviews that people wrote - this game is a trip to childhood when i used to watch this show on TV :) With the game you now have the feeling that you are actually there inside the fort. Good casual fun game even though with simple puzzles.

I can already tell this is just like those Xbox 360 local party games. There's not much depth or thought put in to them. They are just meant to be fun with some friends or family and be enjoyed. Given that, I like the game, even if the mechanics and transitions aren't that great. However, I would never recommend this game at its selling price and only on sale. I paid less than a dollar so I am very happy with my …

I remember watching this French game show in the 90's and it's pretty cool to be able to play the challenges as a computer game. The graphics are great and the challenges are nice to play a few times. It takes around 3 hours to get all achievements. Don't buy this game at full price. It would be foolish. Wait for the £1 sale.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →graphic wise it's good, not 2019, but still quite good. And it means I can run it on a GT 710 Music, if you like the theme of the show, then you'll like this The voice acting is terrible: the old guy mumbles in three variations over and over. the comments when you succeeded or failed: are repetitive: every character has the same lines, and they say them all through each other multiple times. I tried French language too, just to check if the voice acting was better, but no. Gameplay doesn't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Paid £4.59 for it, played it for 21 mins on stream, beat the game and got the 203rd highest score in the world, requested a refund. Played all the minigames in that short time, certainly not worth the £4.59 let alone the £22.99 when it's not on sale. This along with Who Wants to be a Millionaire, I'd advise against buying anything from Appeal Studio (the publisher) to be quite honest.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is awful. DO NOT pay $25 for this. You've been warned.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminds me of Fort Boyard where they did that game show in, in the 80s/90s
neutral · AI labelView post →Well..... it's not the worst game about Fort Boyard, but its sucks. The worst point - small amount of challenges and adventures. Even those, which are already in the game, they have same controlls (Boyardodrome & Caserne, Safari & Car Wars). The best point - music. Its really best way for fans to get music from new season. So, if you're fan of TV show, you should try it, if you aren't fan - it dont worth its money. If there will be update, will i bought it? - Yes, for music and to try another…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Crystal Maze is a British game show devised by Jacques Antoine, based upon his format for the French game show Fort Boyard, and produced for Channel 4.
neutral · AI labelView post →This game is 2,5 bucks on sale and doesn't even worth that much, let alone the full price. You'll get a few QTE minigames, a few very basic "skill based" minigames and a few silly easy questions. One round takes 15 to 20 mins to complete. If you can get it in a bundle or something for dirt cheap, its alright. You'll get 15 minutes of childhood nostalgia. Otherwise stay away, don't waste your time and money on this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Saddened by the death of Patrice Laffont, who was mostly known as a game show host. He presented Des Chiffres et des Lettres, that became Countdown on Channel 4 and Fort Boyard, that also spawned The Crystal Maze.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thinking about queueing up a few old episodes of The Crystal Maze. No other game show has recreated that magic. Not even Fort Boyard.
neutral · AI labelView post →A game by Microids. Already a great reason to downvote and apply for a refund under 'bought by mistake.' If we hate EA, Blizzard and Ubisoft because they are able to make decent games but choose to publish garbage, there's also Microids, on the other hand... which If companies were people, Microids would be the disabled one with down syndrome and constant diarrhea. All their games are laggy, unoptimized, poorly tested, cheap looking crap. Take this Fort Boyard, it's published in 2019, but it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What if, what if someone had uploaded the celebrity special episode of millennium “crystal maze off Temu” game show Fort Boyard that had Melinda Messenger AND Lisa Rogers on. What then? youtu.be/QtVVM8C4Jes?...

And I plan on waking up early for tbcr's Fort BOyard: The Challenge. Former coworker of mine and just enjoy his runs and the silliness it brings. Yourself?
neutral · AI labelView post →yes the game is nothing special and there is unfortunately not that much content in the game but with friends it's actually very funny for an hour or two so if you can buy the game for a cheap price I would actually recommend buying it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →discourse aside i just introduced my wife to the greatest game show of all time: FORT BOYARD it was great how the hell was that show real? I thought I internalized it as being weirder than it actually was but nope it was just Like That™️
positive · AI labelView post →It depends on how much you enjoyed watching Fort Boyard to whether you will like this or not as with many movie tie in games they pay an awful lot for the licence and then the game turns out to be terrible. The graphics are not up to modern day standard and to control the player I had to use the keyboard and mouse I could not use my controller or remap any keys. I conquered Fort Boyard I did not encounter any bugs I had some fun which is the only reason I am giving it the thumbs up would I play…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game because it stays true to the original formal and there is nothing I do not like in it. The Boyard Party mode is also fun. I would recommend this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BTW, Père Fouras is a character from the French tv game show "Fort Boyard" back in the day. He would offer the contestants riddles to solve in order to earn keys so that they could free their locked up fellow team members. :)
neutral · AI labelView post →A view of Fort Boyard, built during the reign on Louis XIV and currently the site of France's most famous game show
neutral · AI labelView post →Game Shows are very cheap to produce, but filming them here is "just too expensive" (And also, Fort Boyard is right there! The best we got was a Disney XD project)
neutral · AI labelView post →What tends to matter is a big finale game at the end of the day where the scores going in provide advantages or disadvantages to the teams - not unlike The Crystal Maze or Fort Boyard where the score defines how long or how many players they have for the final challenge.
neutral · AI labelView post →Not the same word, of course, but couldn't help but be reminded of Fort Boyard (the game show). Now that's all I can think of...
neutral · AI labelView post →I like Fort Boyard and This game had a potencial... but developers did not add something new, so game is dead already! only one plus is that it really works good via remoteplay. But there is no online mutliplayer only local with freinds
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Time for A Random Game. Fort Boyard - The Quest. Some of you may remember the TV show. The game, however, is set much further back in time & is quite dark. A 3d action adventure where you sneak into the fort to rescue your fiancé.
neutral · AI labelView post →played with a friend and it was hilarious but 100% not worth the full price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An entertaining party game to play from time to time. There are not many games but they are pretty solid in the way they play. Its faithful to the TV series so fans will get more out of it than someone going in blind. It will join a list of local multiplayer games we will play on big picture from time to time. I think the main issue people have with the game is its a little over priced. I brought it on sale for under a tenner and felt I got my moneys worth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Growing up there was this surreal French adventure game show for kids on TV called Fort Boyard which was either about a fort called boyard or about a boyard that was very strong. Never did find out which
neutral · AI labelView post →Fort Boyard, developed by Appeal Studio and published by Microids, is a party game adaptation of the iconic French TV game show of the same name. The game captures the essence of the show by offering a variety of mini-games and challenges that emphasize physical prowess, mental agility, and teamwork. Released in 2019, it aims to bring the fun and competitive spirit of the television program to players looking for a casual multiplayer experience, either locally or online. While it is primarily…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would say I care less about the publisher, but the developer being from a given country can be interesting in terms of motifs and gameplay style. A lot of Microids developed games have themes related to French culture. (Post Mortem, the Fort Boyard games). And of course Asterix & Obelix (never played the games even though I have most of the comics).

Huh..Rico's shoot name is 'Americo Sebastiano Costantino' >Costantino was a contestant on the American television series American Gladiators. When challenging one of the show's gladiators, Gemini, Constantino won once and fought to a draw twice in their three Joust bouts. Costantino was the champion for the first half of the 1990–1991 season. In the Grand Championship, Rico came up just short, losing to Craig Branham by 7 points (3 1/2 seconds) in the…
neutral · AI labelView post →I've only played through one adventure so far though I was quite a fan of the TV series. It's not that bad a game in my mind and I won't comment on the price of the game as I don't know how much these things cost to create. I got mine when it was on offer & it was certainly worth the price for a bit of lighthearted fun, graphics are decent for what they are and game play not to shabby either. If you are a fan of the TV show and able to acquire on a sale, then buy it, but don't expect TV show…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommend. 6/10. 2.9 Hour game. Pros: -Fun game show game. Cons: -Lots of key smashing. -Not a lot of mini games.

neutral · AI labelView post →Fort Boyard, near La Rochelle. It was a nostalgia trip, since I used to watch the game show religiously when I was a child. I can't believe they used to have live tigers.
positive · AI labelView post →At some point the UK was swimming in theme park style game shows. We had Knightmare. The Crystal Maze. Fort Boyard (everyone got Fort Boyard). We had Ice Warriors which was Gladiators On Ice. Kids got Raven and Amazing Games. We had XFire We stopped sometime around the Millennium. I don't know why

neutral · AI labelView post →Haha yes exactly that. Fort Boyard was a cheap 90s game show where absolutely nobody died (but they were lightly threatened with tigers). The idea that they were the same thing really tickled me
negative · AI labelView post →This intrusive thought is how I learned that the Fort Boyard game show is still in proruction.
neutral · AI labelView post →Would you live a UK game show has a video game based of the game show?? Fort Boyard 2022 isn't listed but the other Fort Boyard is. Added. IT'S ALSO ON THE GAMEBOY!!??? 🧵 40/???
neutral · AI labelView post →This is so good. I am tired of seeing cash grab games of other popular media that I didn't expect this much quality of something from 90's.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dear our developers We are all very grateful to you for releasing such a masterpiece, and even at such a time. Thank you that there are no blacks and LGBT people in the game. You have created a masterpiece and now all you have to do is continue to edit the technical component. Thank you, take care of yourself and keep giving us new games!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →best game voted for goty
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not the best game but it reminds me 90's, my childhood. Graphics quality is above my expectations.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a Fort Boyard enthusianst it's a shame to see this game. I tried multiple times but it just bad as it looks. Refunded.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Positive review since I got good memories from watching the show, otherwise didn't like the game. Controls are meh, only bought it because I had a steam coupon.
