What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 174 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (883 of 1,062 positive).
Players enjoy the rhythm gameplay and remixed classical music. [1][2][3] Some find the controls awkward and the difficulty unbalanced. [4][5][6] The game is short but offers a fun challenge for rhythm game fans. [7][8][9]

First of all, the game principle appeals to me, these types of rhythm games are really cool and can get addictive pretty quickly. But why I can't recommend it is that the controls are really bad, playing 4-5 notes per second is too crazy, I also tried it with a different layout, but it ended up the same. It would be better to have an ASDF JKLÖ layout here, or two keys at the same time to play the semitones. …

Frederic: Resurrection of Music is a rhythm based game where you play as Frederic Chopin. All you have to do is push the button at particular time. Sounds easy? it is not... First time I tried normal difficulty I was lost and couldn't progress. After transfering to easy difficulty it was a bit too easy to progress and I finished game without much effort. Since it is skill based game I had to play it on harder …

Frederic: Resurrection of Music is a short rhythm game with 9 great levels. Some of the levels can be hard but they are all accomplishable with practice. The music is just a bliss to listen and play to. I do not play much rhythm games but this game might have just convinced me to play them more. Definitely recommended!

Been having a slump and not in the mood for gaming lately. Maybe it's the rainy, cold weather but I just wanted to play something small today, so I started Frederic: Resurrection of Music which I had installed for some time now. Disregard the playtime, the majority is from card idling. I started and finished it in a single setting and less than an hour of actual playtime. You have seven piano keys on which notes …

Dickinson / Lazar and Henrique / Samanski have points as pairs too. So what I’m saying is we need Dach from Bouchard and Frederic from Nurse goals in game 3, then McDavid scores 8.

Never mind that it's a tri-crescendo game so you know it has unique mechanics, it's a story all about a dream that famed musician Frederic Francois Chopin had on his deathbed.

John Lennon and Mozart in a park in Paris while the gamer is using the W A S D keys to fend off musical notes. This game builds finger dexterity needed for more complex games. One could play it on short breaks at work. It would be good for someone with a short attention span especially due to illness or medication. It is non violent but still has battles and testing of skills. The art design is +10. I would ve used this game as a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love music games, but this one doesn't quite hit the mark for me. It's a bit hard to see when to hit the notes from time to time since they come in at a kind of strange angle. You play with 7 keys but can't bind the middle one to the Space bar since it's reserved for special attacks or something. I'd recommend trying "osu!mania" and "StepMania" instead.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →<Frederic: Resurrection of Music> is a rhythm game on piano keys that is so much fun to play. The story centers around the Polish composer Frederic Chopin(who strangely has a British accent in this game), who is known for his beloved piano compositions. Frederic returns from the dead by a mysterious individual, and he must fight music battles against musicians from different parts of the world while continuing his journey to find the person behind this scheme. <Frederic: Resurrection of…

neutral · AI labelView post →Not much positive to say here. Both Frederic games are everything you don't want in a rhythm game. Besides the horrible story and even worse acting; the gameplay makes you want to hang yourself with a pianostring. The lane and notes are a visual mess, timing is extremely loose and the tracks are repetitive and too long. What makes it even harder to recommend is that 'too easy' is what other games would consider (at least) hard mode. By the time you get into the groove with these games, you…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game doesn't allow you to bind Spacebar key to your controls, which is a big sh*t .
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The artwork is good and the music isn't bad, but this game has a major problem with difficulty settings. 'Too easy' mode is virtually impossible to lose on, but just because you can do really crappy and still win. The gameplay itself is no different than normal difficulty. In some sections there's a huge amount of notes you have to hit in only a few seconds. In terms of the story... I think it's supposed to be funny but personally I just found it stupid. Maybe that's just my sense of humour…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. I keep coming back to it, because it has great gameplay. STEEP learning curve: the game expects you to master nine keyboard keys AND remember the rhythm of each song. But once you get it, the game is great fun. Solid cutscene animation and funny characters keeps the gameplay from getting dry. Works really well on ubuntu linux desktop versions. Also, be aware that there is a "Directors Version" on steam, sold separately, which seems to have additional features. I think it has…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy this game if you actually enjoy Chopin. His music is completely bastardised in this game, it's horrid. And to top it off, there is terrible voice acting. Would have been better to go Japanese-style and just have text to read. Then I could have at least given the characters the correct accents! Just don't bother.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game obsessively on iPad and simply love it. It is very entertaining and the music is awesome. The reason why I can't recommend it here is with keyboard controls it is just horrible. This game was made for touchscreen and that's where it should be played. If you own an iOS device, play it there, it is worth it.
