Players find Gang Beasts hilarious and fun with friends, praising its chaotic physics and memorable moments. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note the game suffers from broken online matchmaking and dead multiplayer servers. [4][5][6] Several players recommend buying the game on sale due to its high price relative to content. [7][8]

I am willing to change my recommendation whenever the developers decide to fix online matchmaking when inviting friends. Simply does not work at all. You might get away with successfully starting a game with four people sometimes, but eventually someone gets disconnected. Invitations often lead to an endless "joining session" screen to end up having to end the program altogether. Sometimes one friend will join, but …

I remember the first time I saw Gang Beasts, I watched as my brother played several rounds of rag-doll WWE and laughed a lot in those 20minutes. I decided then and there I would purchase this game for myself. This game is basically 3D Smash Bros, but everyone is drunk and their only ability is sh*tting their pants. Highly recommended. This game will never get the credit it deserves for pretty much creating its own …

In no shape, way, or form is this game worth 20 USD. Aside from that, it's a fantastic and fun time with friends. I have to stress that it is great fun with FRIENDS. Multiplayer seems mostly dead online, and I don't even think you can play singleplayer. Not only that, but the UI has issues and it could be optimized better. But the fun you have when playing with friends more than makes up for the aforementioned …

I love being a little drunk man that can fight sharks and big drunk men. You punch but your arms don’t work and you fall over for no reason. Sometimes you win by accident because the other drunk men forget how to stand and get knocked out by boats, trains, or sharks. There is no skill, only screaming and grabbing until someone dies. Best game.

In its freeware alpha state, as well as upon Steam Early Access release, the game was met with positive response from critics and fans. Comments include Keith Stuart of The Guardian calling it "probably one of the silliest beat-'em-ups ever made," Jessica Conditt from Engadget calling it "a jolly good time", and Steve Hansen from Destructoid highlighting how its weirdness plays out well. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →gang beasts is a GREAT game is funny as hell i love to play this game it was my fav,BUT in those couple of years this gmae had a BIG falldown, the servers are laggy,u almost cannot play online no more,on this time u are gonna find yourself stuck in a ofline lobby playing with bots,I hope gang beasts will fix this bug in the future and we will have fun again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horrendous, unpleasing gameplay with atrocious mechanics. Would recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its so clumsy and funny, even if YOU'RE the losing team. I guarantee you that this game has cured someone's depression.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best game ive ever touched. It doesnt get repetitive at all. Being able to watch the most cinematic moments ever bring this game to life. If more maps where to happen the I believe this game will be revived.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →punch friend. friend fall off map. everyone laugh. victory twerk. asserted dominance
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game doesn't even run well anymore, I should be able to host a game and play with friends without going through the nine circles of hell. This game is a rotten carcass, abandoned for a decade.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →half the time youll spend on the game will be spent trying to join your friends when you can join its fun but it takes straight years
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The wife and I has returned to Valheim on a selfhosted dedicated server during the holidays, not sure if an adventuring party is the party you were thinking about. I've been /dancing on the ship as she steers it over the ocean though. Most of the "party" games I have require no self hosting, it's just split/shared screen co-op on the TV, Gang Beasts is a favourite and depending on what friends are over Genital Jousting can also be booted up for some laughs.
neutral · AI labelView post →Genuinely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks now after they broke matchmaking. Says there's a cap of 8 but it doesnt even work with 4. FIx your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game Boneloaf. I don't recommend this game until they fix it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only been able to play a few times with my friends, every time we have had issues- we try to load in and some people cant see others hands up showing others are ready and then when we load in it doesn't have some people load into the game and stuck in lobby. I really liked the little we did actually get to play but these bugs need to be fixed. Its unplayable. :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, I got a handful of things scheduled out & edited 6 episodes of The Headliners today finishing up the last of the recorded bits for that game. Tomorrow, I'll try to get to a chunk of both the Gang Beasts stuff & get the 2nd half the $20 Pokemon Card Haul rendered & start the uploads on those.💕

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I use this game as part of the "arcade cabinets" for my jobs festivals because you hook so many players up to one screen for little resource cost. The gameplay is incredibly easy to learn and intuitive to our ape brains in my opinion. Great for drunk old people, stoned college students and sugar rushed kids.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I agree in general. In very broad strokes: If you wanna be complex: own it. Cut the crap with the broad appeal then. Can't have it both ways. If you want broader appeal: look at Smash, Gang Beasts, etc. Traditional fighters too, but lean hard on game feel for all. Either way: IT'S NICHE AF!
neutral · AI labelView post →Desperately needs more content (levels and game modes). Its been a long time since the last content update. The gameplay is fun but I wouldn't recommend it at the RRP.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →yo this game is peak bro if your looking for a game that is super funny and fun get this game. honestly its so fun beating my brothers in local mode. but the only problom I truly have is that it doesnt have that many features like new modes or like showing all the controlls as the game makes you find out the controlls and finding out how to back filp and do HEADBUT DIVE that me and my brother mad up when playing is fun. also the price is higher than i think it should but its ok. I personally…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In these dark times of cultural malaise, defined by a desperate search for originality, Gang Beasts stands as a triumph of true artistic expression. It boldly serves as a trenchant critique of the modern crisis afflicting the human condition, and it accomplishes this without falling victim to the hopeless cynicism common in other social commentaries. It boldly wrestles with themes of of our times - fragility, happenstance, humor, and trust - and it does it with careful subtlety...Actually,…

Hi everyone, I am holding a fun little tournament locally and letting the community vote for game in each category. So far we did 3d fighter, platformer fighters and traditional 2d fighter. For the next category I’m thinking about doing wrestling style games and so far I can only think of Fire Pro Wrestling, Gang Beasts and WWE 2k. I can use some more suggestions here. The game should be playable on PS5, Xbox series or switch. I also…

I'll start with Speed Runners. It might be if interest. Little different, but same local multi player competitive vibe. I'm stoked for the upcoming sequel. See also (in no apparent order): Samurai Gunn (1 and 2). Nidhogg (1 and 2). Roof Rage. Lethal League {1 and 2). Gang Beasts Stick Fight; The Game. Starwhal. Sportsfriends Stikbold!…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →best fighting game of all time, I get so competitive, but I still am laughing ,y ass of when I lose, this is what a game is meant to be.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun to play with friends! The crazy physics and random moments make every match different, and there is always something funny happening. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gang beast in unironically the best game ive played its lit so fun and more fun with ur friends best game ive played ever.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though its the same 22 maps, the ragdoll physics and map randomness makes it feel different every time. That, and the high skill ceiling is why I have so many hours on it. Unfortunately the game is kind of dead, it almost never gets updates and there aren't many players which leads to long matchmaking and high ping. But if you have a private game with friends you don't have any of these problems and it is an absolute blast. Plus thanks to steam remote play only you need to own the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gang Beasts is a buggy yet wonderful masterpiece of a game that has kept my interest and love for it as long as around 5 years. There is always a thrill to the fights, a certain appeal to my humor during casual play, somehow getting to interact with/befriend either extremely famous or highly skilled players, as well as an overwhelming amount of memories through clips. The fantastic developers behind this game need more slack cut to them when it comes to the updates. I know myself as a game…

The controls are incredibly easy to pick up and play, yet the physics create a real challenge, and the ensuing hilarity and carnage is sure to get the entire room going nuts. As long as you have friends to play with you are guaranteed to have an absolute blast with this game! It does have an online mode with matchmaking, so you don't need friends to play, but it does…

(it's pretty fun) just like everyone said though it is really buggy there's this weird glitch where if you get in a party with someone it sometimes thinks that two people are trying to play on the same screen with the same person so it clones your player and then you have to go to the loading screen and re-join their party. edit: i found out…
