Some reviewers find the game fun for a while but note that runs feel repetitive and weapons lack meaningful differences. [1][2][3][4] A few players report performance issues and a lack of new content beyond the demo. [5][6][7][8]

Around 5hrs in (depending on your luck/skill) you unlock 2nd level of the game, you expect something fun, something new. What you get is a complete reuse of level 1 with 3 new enemies that admittedly don't offer anything unique (plus the level still consists of 80% same enemies from lvl 1) Basically the same location, but this time it's gray-blue instead of gray-brown All the same minibosses and 2 out of 4 new …

I can't remember the last time I left a negative review on a game, but it's an insult just how much this game doesn't value the player's time... EVERYTHING is drip-fed in the worst possible way. Sadly, it s clear the devs decided to take no risk. It s all pretty basic, with few and unoriginal mechanics. I took it because it looked good. And in the end, there was enough hours where I had fun (about 20h). If it was a dish I would say I m not hungry anymore, but it was unremarkable. It s niche, I can see those who like the genre enjoy it for a bit. Not worth the full price though. A good discount is warranted. …

The full game is basically the same as the demo version. Very disappointing. There are only some new characters and weapons, and that's it. The new stages are literally 95% the same, just with higher stat modifiers for enemies. No new upgrade options, new mechanics, or challenges. Basically, if you play the demo, you already have 90% of what the game offers.

I seem to remember liking the demo, but on a fresh restart I feel as though none of the choices matter. You pick whatever gun. Who cares. You upgrade it, it's obsolete on the very next level. You pick some other gun, put a few points in it. Obsolete the next level. It doesn't feel like you're building anything here. There's no sense of meaningful upgrades. Just throwing loot into the void and using whatever you find on the ground for the next level.

Overall this game doesn't quite hit the mark in this genre. It is, however, very aptly named. This game is a massive GRIND with little pay off. It is fun to start, but I was very disappointed with the pacing of unlocking new maps and characters. Even the challenges to unlock new perks were very grindy. You have to complete 4 stages on one map before you unlock another character and the second map. Now you have to do 4 or 5 stages on this map to unlock another new character and the final…

It's fun, and I'm probably going to play more of it, but I don't believe I'd recommend it, I'd give it a "Meh" option if I could. The start was very fun, but the demo really is basically the game. The new levels unlock very slowly, and personally I think it should change how unlocking new levels work, instead of beating the same stage 5 times for every difficulty before going to a new world, I think it should be beating every world on one difficulty, then moves up difficulty and repeats. Not…

Game seems very uninspired and pretty boring. Just a horde shooter, nothing really stands out. No real weapon synergies, levels are all just different colors but essentially the same, enemies are just constant aoe spam. Weapon upgrades feel meh, not really powerful. Infinite mode perks are duplicates with no indication of max caps or which ones will apply. Weapons with 10k dps difference don't really play any different. Better games in this category. First patch: already nerfing weapons…

This game is so good to just relax and enjoy clearing the hordes of demons coming your way. It feels really satisfying when you discover a new combination/build for a specific weapon, even with the same character. Now I'm wondering if there's any character better than the first one. I also would love if there are more elements/bullet colors in the future too, to make it even better! (Loved using the Red Railgun power, just melting everything around like it's butter. I wanted to recommend this game. I genuinely did. The visuals are solid and the build crafting at The Forge has real potential. The menus are clean and polished in a way that most indie games simply aren’t. First impressions are genuinely strong. But then the progression loop sets in, and it never really changes. The early game is where it loses most people, and for good reason. There isn’t enough meaningful reward coming in fast enough to make the grind feel worthwhile. You push through…

If you've played the demo. Than you've basically seen 95 percent of what the game offers. The difference lies in that fact that the base game is more grindy than the demo was. To progress from the very first map into others requires you to grind 5 additional difficulties. You want new characters? Complete each map 1-5 and you'll unlock a new character. And even when you do they're nothing special. The second character unlock isn't fun or interesting. So I doubt any of the rest are all that…

TL:DR - Has a solid premise but has missed the mark in too many ways to suggest buying this right now. I am a big fan of Roguelikes/bullet hell games. I know what I like and what I don't, I feel at the moment this game has missed the mark on some of the fundamental things around this genre. Especially in a time where there are so many games of it's type, there is no unique selling point here. It doesn't do anything new or even particularly well but it's just polished enough that some of you…

Game is pretty short if you are used to these Vampires-like bullet heaven survival games. Not much content to speak of and its all basically the same. Each map becomes utterly obsolete once you beat them because gear level (1-15) cannot be adjusted on earlier levels with lower tier gear. The endless mode for the game is also very bugged. For one, enemies will just stop spawning for 30 seconds to a minute at a time at random intervals, never happens in the actual map mode (1-15). The upgrades…

Grind Survivors- its okay if you can survive the quite literal grind. Middling review really this. Thumbing down as while it doesn't necessarily do anything to offend, just it isn't exactly impressive either. Its competently put together, just the content is a little slow going to say the least. You have to complete several difficulty levels of the first map before you're allowed to see a different one. This repeats for all maps. It looks great on the surface but the weapon variety boils…

This game is fun, however there are so many bugs in the game, with no fixes in sight, and takes all the fun out of the game. The game only has 3 levels, each level has 5 levels of difficulty and an infinity mode for each level. You can finish the game in about 10 hours and are left with playing infinity mode. Here is where the problems are. The only level that works somewhat properly, is the first level in infinity mode, the other 2 levels will stop spawning enemies every 3 minutes, for 30…

At current state there was a lot of problem with crashes but most of them got fixed. After weather update fps during the run tanked from 50+ to 15-19 while in menu it stays stable as before. The good: if you try a new build with each run and have enough gamer instincts to set apart the wildly overpowered options from the lame ones, you'll have a good time going through the 15 non-endless levels once. You'll mow down enormous hordes of enemies, the game will run smoothly even with hundreds of explosions going off at once, you'll discover oddly effective builds such as lighting-maxxing, and you'll see new things at a reasonable pace. There's fun grind, and then there's ... whatever this profoundly unbalanced & unvaried roguelite is going for. Given the game's namesake, I was not expecting the grind to be the most tedious form of grind known to gaming; I expected, given positive early reviews and the polish of the game's storefront presentation, that I'd be playing something more along the lines of Yet Another Zombie Survivors, Halls of Torment, Conquest Dark, or even Diablo IV (in terms of enjoyable grind). Played the demo a bunch so ignore the playtime at review. This is the best survivors-like I've played so far. The gameplay is fluid and juicy, the weapons are fun and meaningfully different. The in-run upgrade system is very similar to 20 Minutes Till Dawn which is a great game but a bit too samey for my tastes. This game does not have that issue AND it has a hugely in depth and interesting meta-progression system. Unlike most roguelites (esp survivors games) where you simply get unlocks and…

I want to like this game, its all put together really well. But the grind and the raise in difficulty level is just too steep. These games are fun when they are grindy and difficult, but its a delicate balance. Make it too easy with little grind and you fly through the game in hours. Make it too hard too fast and too grindy and you get this game. I want to play this game but then I think about how much time I need to spend just to get a few % damage increase and I move on to another game.

So much so that I believe this game has consistent bug somewhere in its code. My rig isn't exactly new but there is no way a small bullet heaven game like this should crash this often. I played it before, and came back now after the new update (new enemies, yadda yadda)... I have to say, you guys NEED to change the healer enemies. They shouldn't be able to be healed, even by other healers. If you get a stack of 2 or 3 healers in Endless, the game is basically over. And sometimes you just won't be able to attack them directly, so it's a doomed run. And that brings me to Endless, which seems to still carry the same problem as it did before this update: enemy health/damage…

When they call this Grind Survivors they really aren't kidding. It is a crazy grind for little fun. There are interesting elements but overall too many annoying concepts for me to continue playing. Frustrating elements: 1) Improvements to weapons have RNG and can fail 2) You have to beat a level at 5 difficulties to get a new biome 3) Bonuses don't take into account weapon type. +1 ammo on a tesla gun is not a gold tier drop 4) Getting closed in for a boss but adds that do AOE damage…

3/21/26 - At just over 6.5 hours I finally unlocked another gun, I didn't even know that's how they were unlocked (or even existed). I did see if you look under Characters it shows you what's required to unlock them; but the maps don't. Maybe this is different with other characters, but with just the default one unlocked, every build REQUIRES maxing dodge, maxing shield, maxing health, maxing XP .. This is a particularly frustrating problem when drops are luck based and there is no save functionality for a run. It's not just me, there are many threads about this with no clear solutions. Really fun survivor-style game with a nice twist thanks to the guns. The build variety is great, with lots of in-depth setups and synergies to experiment with, which keeps things interesting over time. Graphics are clean and look good even when things get hectic. Only downside for me personal is the grind, unlocking everything takes quite a while. Still, very enjoyable overall if you like experimenting with builds.

The game , as a game is fine. I'm 60-65% done on the 16 hour mark , which is fine. The issue arises with the fact that there's a game breaking bug (can't get past photosensitivy warning screen) that developers have aknowledged but haven't fixed for over a week or more. To the effect that it has killed my drive to play the game. Maybe next time, I guess. Edit: They fixed the issue above , but it came with a progreess wipe. Can't say I want to re-grind again.

Unlike in other games you don't get to select skills that automatically trigger, you basically just buff your gun. Since the balance is pretty bad you'll end up with the same buffs every run. The demo for this game was glorious. When teh full game releaserd, none of the demo progress carried over. That sucked. Took alot of oomf out of wanting to play. On release it was good, you could play without any gameplay issues, no stuttering or otherwise, had a decent skill tree if a bit tedious to gain the resources (red dust) to unlock the skills and a good crafting system. Itw as enjoyable and playable but overall not something that would grab you for more then 6 or 7 hours max play time.…

The game is fun the first 2 or 3 hours. feels like it advances smoothly and such, but shortly after that period of time. it GRINDS to a halt. becomes a lot harder and the scaling sky rockets. i was unsure why i was suddenly struggling to keep momentum i had the first few hours but when looking into how i could improve or what i was doing wrong. i found a multitude of people simply saying that its a tough grind fest and that its only easy the first few hours to get people through that 2 hour…

I think the game itself is fantastic. The negative reports are coming from those experiencing various performance issues with the latest patch. It's got a Doom atmosphere, awesome soundtrack, and a good progression system. It does take a two or three runs to get a hang for the mechanics. But at the end of the day, it's a great game.

Solid Vampire Survivors game. Maybe a bit pricy for what is here so far but still worth it. If they add more than that'd become a solid yes. Best part are the control are wonderful and speed of the game solid. Just needs more content. Low 4 out of 5.

A flawed but ultimately fun survivorslike. Four characters to choose from, each with their own unique passive ability that casts after a cooldown, alongside an impressive variety of guns that all drop with Diablo-esque affixes and upgradable stats. Powers you earn throughout a run let you pull off some wacky builds even in lower difficulties, and the game's sparse meta progression tree doesn't require itself to be maxed out to clear any and all content up until the endgame. Said tree is mostly…

Personally, I didn't mind the grind aspect to an extent, some unlocks are a little ridiculous to unlock. My main issue is the lack of build variety combined with the enemy difficulty. They seem to outscale you so fast that you're often dying way before you get the chance to get something going. This is really horrible in the infinite modes moreso from my experience. I wouldn't recommend this game in its current state for more than $5 if that.

I do not understand why enemies need to scale exponentially during a run but your upgrades do not keep up whatsoever.

The game is fun, however.. Im a bit dissapointed with the release. The demo was almost just as good if not better, getting to the third stage and endless isnt spawning mobs, makes it a bit difficult.. The burned forest first stage endless works but its way too easy with the end game items. The stats when upgrading and hovering over dont seem to add up properly which was a common bug on the demo. The game is fun, i still played many hours but with the amount of bugs and lack of content in the…

Just your standard vamp survivors clone, with nice visuals. Balance is off, though, even with a heavily improved weapon, and the game seems extremely grindy. Not to mention the actual world/map is boring, there is little variety or randomness there, and the progression prevents you from exploring new areas/characters too quickly, which feels like a flaw, not a good thing... Also contains ranged attack enemies, which makes it a bit of a bullet hell. 7-/10.

All the skills are a blatant copy of 20 Minutes Till Dawn. The meta talent tree is as uninteresting as it gets, just a bunch of additive stats that cost too much currency. Increasing the difficulty only gives enemies extra hp and damage. This game basically takes a bunch of mechanics from other games and mashes them together without fleshing them out. This is just yet another uninspired survivors game that makes you think it might be interesting for a couple hours until it runs out of steam.…

A good, solid bullet hell/heaven game with smooth gameplay and well thought out mechanics. I've played the demo for a solid 10 hours and enjoyed it quite a bit. The game is very straight forward, which I consider a plus. Others in this genre tend to overcomplicate the different stats and mechanics, which can add depth, but often just forces the player to sit and read every single skill and item description, meticulously planning their build. You can absolutely do that here as well, but the…

This game definitely lives up to the "Grind" aspect. It's only fun for the first 10-15 hours and then it feels like clocking into a job you hate. Same bvllshit, same enemies that have 5 times health once you hit 15 minutes in game. The only way to win is to grind like a slave. If that appeals to you and you want to create a second job out of gaming and you hate yourself, by all means spend money on this slop. Otherwise, stay away.

3.5/10 - Previous builds were better, New blinding mechanic has to be the most stupid decision they ever made, their vision of difficulty = spam more enemies of different types -> blind player -> spam bombs -> now make them HP sponges, Game used to be better. Windows users complain about crashes while Linux shows off to be superior at gaming. so, trust me i have more than a hour of playtime, as i played the game before i bought it, not though a demo, but just simply cracking it. When a game is…
