I was having a blast with this game. And then the final sequence completely ruined it for me. Why this relaxed, low-impact game suddenly needed to end with a lengthy insta-death abbatoir of absurd timing-window precision platforming is a complete mystery to me, and a wild violation of the contract between developer and player. Pull that nonsense in the first hour if you're going to, so I know to not bother playing …

Do you want to solve cool "puzzels" in a beautiful atmosphere wile laughing your ass off? Then this game is something for you! I can honestly say that i haven't laughed this hard while playing a game in years! (In a good way) The witty dialog and the whole story in it self is worth the by if you ask me. Solid 10/10

Bought the game to support the developer since i really liked Manual Samuel, but got to say this was a disappointment with the constant puzzles. Yeah they were cool the first 10 times then when they started to get timed it gets annoying. Story was nice, characters are funny, nice tie in with the first game. Worth buying, but beware the puzzles get annoying fast.

An exceedingly underrated gem, this game boasts an astonishing artistic style reminiscent of the cartoons of my youth. Its animation and voice acting are of exceptional quality. The narrative is a delightful voyage filled with engaging characters and perplexing puzzles. It is undeniably a labor of love, evoking a sense of nostalgia akin to indulging in Nickelodeon cartoons. With a mere 161 reviews, one must implore, …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, I too would want to escape Valhalla if I was forced to be on an Esports team. The creators of Manuel Samuel is back with another game! And just with how Manuel Samuel was a unique adventure will humor surrounding Samuel’s unfortunate situation, so is Helheim Hassle. And fun fact, Helheim Hassle and Manuel Samuel takes place in the same universe and even on the same day. Helheim Hassle brings us to a young teenage Viking named Bjorn Hammerparty who isn’t like his Viking brethren.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you ignore the chase sequences and other timed parts of this puzzle game, it's quite alright. If it had not been for the story/humor I would not have kept playing it. The controls make it very annoying at times. You can keep on playing after the game ends to finish up optional puzzles and such but... they're just too frustrating for me. So it's more of a Maybe than a Yes from me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before I criticise, I should say I've mostly enjoyed my time playing Helheim Hassle. It's a bit rough in places, the humour doesn't always land, but it's been generally fine. Unfortunately, it's left such an ugly taste in my mouth on reaching the end of the main quest that I can't recommend it. This isn't just because the final boss "battle" is incredibly frustrating (although it is), it's because it's galling to have sunk 15 hours into a game only to discover by looking online that something I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Funny and smart puzzle game where you need to use body parts to solve problems. Too bad the game clearly wasn't tested properly. It's even worse when it happens towards the end of the game; I'm stuck in Huldra's Cave because the devs didn't think of all possibilities and now I can't progress. They didn't even think to include a reset option that would solve most of the broken puzzles! I had a positive experience until I ran into this game-breaking bug. I was even prepared to overlook the fact…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the funniest game in a long time. But i can't recommend it on account of how bad the final boss fights are, making the end a quick-reaction race instead of a puzzle was a mistake.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To quote the philosopher Dante Alighieri: "Hell No!" To its credit, the creative gameplay managed to be entertaining for several hours despite several sources of annoyance: - The talking, with certain characters constantly yapping in an unbearable voice; like Baldr, or the Bolivian skeleton that follows and pesters you everywhere. Were the writing successfully funny, these actors would still extinguish any laughing mood. - The controls, which make limb selection and manipulation tedious,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls take a while to get used to, but after the initial hassle you'll be good to go. Truly a bizarre title with good puzzles, odd characters and cool ass voice-actors. Arne Axeteeth is my spirit animal. It's a big step-up from Manual Samuel, which is Perfectly Paranormal's first release.. and they also hid some easy to spot easter-eggs in there for you if you have played Manual Samuel aswell. If you haven't.. you might just have to play that one aswell!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was the second part of The Complete Tuesday Trilogy and while it improved a lot of things from the previous game, the main reason for playing this game is to let the third part of the trilogy to fully shine. Compared to Manual Samuel, this one has a nicer artstyle, better characters, better story and enjoyable voice acting. Well, a lot of people are not going to enjoy this game's humour and will probably find the characters annoying. Caveat Emptor, but I had fun with that part. This…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved Manual Samuel, and this is absolutely even better. Very unique and creative puzzles (yes the puzzles are fine.) Get your goblins in a gander and go have a good old gosh-darn time. Edit: Okay yeah I had to come back and edit. The game is fantastic 98% of the way, and then the ending gets really annoying. If you enjoy Parappa the Rapper you might enjoy the finicky timing of the final sequence. Also, the achievements in order to 100% the game absolutely reek of "we released this during the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played it through but I the humor fell a little short for me after 3 hours of the same jokes. Some things are definitely funny like the "gamescom" but mostly not a great experience to 100%...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been following this game and playing it in Alfa and Beta, and the final release is a masterpiece. The humor is unique, the characters are interesting and it never stops to amaze with its quirkiness. Already so many secrets and easter eggs. For people who played the first game Manual Samuel, the game keeps building the universe and you really don't want to miss this. Can totally be played without having caught the first one (but after playing this you might want to check out the previous one…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A must play! This game will take you on an adventure through solving puzzles and great storytelling. It manages the fine art of balancing challenges, witty banter with beautifull visuals that will hold on to your attention. Even if platform games have exsisted since forever Helheim hassle manages to reinvent it in a good way with specialized game mechanics. It brings back memories from blizzards Lost vikings but much more well done and more compelling storytelling. I'd recommend it any day of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Funniest Norwegian game of all time" says game critic. I totally agree with that statement. Its like Bjørn ripped his leg of, threw it in my mouth, had it venture down my insides and kicked the bejeezez out of my laugh gland! :D Puzzels, limbs & wacky characters in a perfectly designed universe. What's not to love? Totally worth both the time and money!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2/10 hit a bug brick wall that stops me from continuing im stuck at pesto whining on and on right when you get to goblin cobblin. the lever is broken for me, reloading the game doesnt fix anything. watched 2 playthrough guides to make sure i didnt miss anything...its just broken its a shame cause i was kinda enjoying the game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Helheim Hassle is a fun and charming puzzle game where you can detach body limbs to solve puzzles. The artstyle is really nice and the backgrounds are wonderful! It got a interesting cast of characters and the main character Bjørn is really relateable and fun! Soundtrack was done very well and the voice cast is amazing. Clocked in 19 hours without even completing the side quests and unlockables. Absolutely worth the price and I'm happy I got to play it!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, the name is really apt for this game - it might be fun, but it's a hassle. Visuals, audio, stupid jokes, everything is great as it was in the previous game, and this feels like another story in the same universe, which was fun. I've enjoyed it more than not, so i'm recommending it, but there are some flaws that need to be addressed here. The "player has detachable limbs to solve puzzles with" thing is fun, but the controls here are frustrating even after getting used to them, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hellheim Hassle is such a fun and creative game! It reminded me a lot of Monkey Island with its humor, quirky characters, and clever puzzles. The gameplay is unique and keeps you thinking, and the story had me hooked. Definitely worth playing if you enjoy a good laugh and classic adventure vibes!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Helheim Hassle is a thumbs-up game for me, but a weak one on that. The game is a quirky puzzle-platformer that is fun and enjoyable to play. Puzzles are well-designed, and most of the time they are challenging without being overbearing, with the exception of any puzzle that requires timing or precision platforming. Plus, the humor is spot-on, injecting laughs into every corner of the game. The progression feels smooth, but the story can get a bit convoluted, leaving you scratching your head…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →✿ PROS - funny dialogues and a fun story overall - okay, it's not just the story but the extra things not related to the main game are hilarious too - norse mythology with satan and his gang doing a crossover - odd but unique characters - lots of side quests - you get to be a chill viking who refuses to do what vikings do ✿ CONS - puzzles are too easy (not really a con but if you're into a more difficult puzzle, you shouldn't expect that here) ✿ RATING: 5/5 // wow, this game had me chuckle…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a wonderful fun puzzle game and a good game for people who like to 100% games cause im working on 100% this game so yea this game also goes on sale alot it worth it price but just wait for a sale and save 5$ :edit i 100% it i wish there was more detailed guides tho
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is certainly a great game worth its price. It takes a lot of hours to complete all its main and side missions. The puzzles tend to be challenging. It's very funny. Heck, even its songs are damn awesome. Loved playing it. Keep it up, developers!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was only expecting a decent game, but this is actually a great puzzle platformer with several hours of entertainment and only very minor issues. I loved it. If you enjoy puzzles and/or platformers, this is money well spent. The Good: The core game mechanic is original and works really well. It felt the right amount of challenging without being frustrating, and that includes tightly parametrized body parts and combinations that never made me feel like I was fighting the engine instead of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. Don't think it got enough attention. Maybe these guys should have made a cartoon show/movie instead. Its best to be bad, its funnier. Last boss was a bit of a pain but its a last boss. What does feel hard is 100%ing this one. Can't believe Balder and Ramsey didn't get their own card.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →save file softlocked, limb got stuck in a hole while fast travel was disabled, not worth replaying till that point
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the storyline. A unique and interesting game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would love to recommend this game but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is that final bit extremely frustrating to go through. Jesus christ. Apparently, 100% the game makes it like 10 times easier. But I didn't do that and honestly, didn't feel like quiting and going back and doing all of that just to beat a game I wasn't enjoying. I mean, I did beat it... but it was cause I glitched through an impossible jump part so... yeah. Can't recommend :/
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very enjoyable puzzle platformer. The mechanics are very unique with each body part serving a different purpose which allows for several different kinds of challenges. All of the puzzles are straightforward, and it is rarely unclear what you have to do; it is just a matter of nailing the platforming. The map shows you how many collectibles are left in each subarea which made getting all of the collectibles and doing all sidequests enjoyable even for someone who's not normally into that. The…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like how the game implies that all religions are real, and can interact with each other
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine if Wandersong became 75% puzzle-platformer and adopted the "Who the bleep came up with these annoying puzzles anyway?" attitude from Trover Saves the Universe. That would be Helheim Hassle. It's a huge step forward from Manual Samuel. The writing and especially the dialogs are excellent. The art is very good, and the voices are superb. The game has great ambiance and quite a few funny moments, and it understands how to do a spoof properly. The puzzles revolve around the same main…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't read this. Go buy the game! 10/10!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loving the game so far, tons of secrets and puzzles with hilarious characters and interactions. Fun to explore not just the map, but also the minor differences in how you solve puzzles to get different dialogue / outcomes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun dialogues and good story. The gameplay is very unique, fun puzzles and great action!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have you listened to Kenny Loggins - Footloose on repeat so much your family left you? Well, if so, you probably have a lot of time on your hands, time you should really invest in playing Helheim Hassle, forget getting your family back, there's a 99.7% chance they weren't as funny as this game. Really, if you like humor which makes your face muscles cramp up to the point where you look funny and make you fart a little, and you enjoy puzzling with puzzling puzzles, there's really no point in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I also have an ongoing fancomic I'm making on the side based on the Tuesday Trilogy game series (Manual Samuel, Helheim Hassle, and The Holy Gosh Darn, mostly the last one.) If you're interested in those games. bsky.app/profile/good...
neutral · AI labelView post →Okay, Helheim Hassle 100%... in-game anyway (3 achievements I'm not willing to put in due to what is required; too tired for the extra effort.) Good game. Comparatively grounded after Manual Samuel, but I prefer its humor and tone more. Also, I got a new desktop wallpaper out of it.
positive · AI labelView post →This is a very cute and creative puzzle game. There's a good sense of humor throughout, and they come up with a lot of creative ways to require different body parts to interact with puzzle elements.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought I'd share some of my incredible sketches for our fantastic game Helheim Hassle. By the way, I don't understand how to make a thread on this platform yet so this is gonna be exciting!
neutral · AI labelView post →Incredibly fun puzzle platformer. Highly recommend!! Tons of secrets, loads of content, fun story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is really game is pretty decent for puzzle, lots of side quests, has some good humour, and not bad of a story, game runs great as well, I can recommend this game for sure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A superb underrated game. Some puzzle parts could have been better, but all in all, it's really fun and enjoyable. I love Perfectly Paranormal's Humor and the great voice acting. Keep it coming guys, i'm waiting for your next game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Hassle" is right. I'd watch it, but I don't want to play it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall an enjoyable game. My biggest issue is that the controls for throwing weren't thoroughly explained and during the finale become incredibly important. This became really frustrating when the game kept respawning me time after time for close to half an hour before I could even figure out the puzzle. Once I did figure it out, it became a grind of don't mess any inputs up or you have to redo the whole thing. As a tip for pc players, hold the arrow keys before pressing shift to focus on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Here are, in my opinion, the scores for this game: Gameplay------ 6/10 Story------------ 7/10 Graphics -------- 6/10 Sound/Music----- 7/10 Fun Factor------ 8/10 Overall rating ----------- 6,8 When to buy: Sale 70% off / bundles Conclusion: Great puzzle platform game that continues in a more "viking" way Manual Samuel. Clever puzzles scattered around the game combined to black humor gives players an enjoyable 10 hrs of amusement.
