Don't by this piece of dog ♥♥♥♥♥ cash grab from Ubishyte. This is a severely stripped down version of the game. No random map generator. No expansions. It's not even the basic game. There are even less features in this "new" HD version than there is in the original store-bought version you may have purchased back in 1999. What really ticks me off about those feckless ♥♥♥♥♥ at Ubishyte is that they actually had to go …

“This game is older than some of the people playing it… and it’s still better than half the strategy games today.” Heroes of Might and Magic III is the reason “just one more turn” became a lifestyle. You start a map thinking it’ll take maybe an hour. Then suddenly it’s 3 AM, you’re calculating army losses like a military general, and you’re emotionally attached to a stack of 200 skeletons. The gameplay is simple to …

Heroes of Might and Magic III is, without exaggeration, the best game I’ve ever played. Its perfect blend of turn-based strategy, RPG progression, and unforgettable fantasy atmosphere makes every match endlessly replayable. The music, factions, and map design are timeless, creating moments that still feel magical decades later. No matter how many modern games I try, nothing comes close to Heroes 3’s depth, charm, …

Childhood back again, and again, and again. I am a middle aged person who put together the best hardware of the time just to have my childhood dream PC, only to find out that I do not even have the time to play any game, or the energy, because of what life had thrown to me. But when I do have the time very rarely, I chose this nearly 30 years old game to enjoy.

ONLY BUT THIS GAME FROM GOG Good game with alright replayability. trying out new tactics and mechanics to advance the game is really fun. but dont spend your money on the steam version. I only bought it for achivement hunting

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2/10 - VERY BAD! Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is the game that hooked me into gaming. A true OG masterpiece and the absolute pinnacle of its franchise. Everything that followed went steeply downhill (the fourth has some redeeming qualities, let's be honest), but number 3 is the peak, period. I come back to it every year without fail: binge it, leave it alone, and when the itch returns, the first thing I do is reinstall. Never regret it. The OST lives as a permanent album on my device. I play it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No mod support, and expansions are missing. Get the GOG complete edition instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game of our childhood, but greedy Ubi did not even include the expansions, and they did just the bare minimum. Not worth. GOG version is better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not get this version unless you want the achievments. Go on GoG and get the complete edition. This version does not have any of the DLC's or the random Map generator. The GoG version has the DLC's plus it has mod support and is a much better experience
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth it. The hd isnt that good. Better off buying the original from GOG.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →HOMM3 is a great game but the steam version is a ubisoft cash grab as it is a remaster of the first version of the original game, so it lacks DLCs and many good features such as extra heroes, items, towns, random maps, more campaign missions, simultanious multiplayer turns (that is a big one) etc. If you care about the actual experience of the game or if you wish to play with friends, you should buy the complete edition on GOG and download the HD community mod, the experience is far greater.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This version is not complete. missing DLCs, map generator, etc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ubisoft cutting content for later dlcs cashgrab? this shoul've been the full game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is amazing. Negative review is not for the game itself, its simply for this bad re-release. For some reason expansions were not included, so you cant even play with every faction that was created. Also, no campaigns. Buy only on a big sale, otherwise buy it on GOG where you will get full game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very unethical. While being a remastered version, it lacks campaign content, capacity to play multiplayer where most people play or to play most maps made by players. It also runs slower, there are plenty of timed delays or input delays that do not exist with the complete edition. Quick combat also works differently. Normally if you enable this option, an AI plays the fight for you instantly, but you can choose to do the fight yourself after you see the result. Now you are forced to either have…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This version is just the base game (Restoration of Erathia) and is not the complete version. It is missing Armageddon’s Blade and The Shadow of Death. The random map generator is also missing. Graphics are redrawn, it is plug-and-play and there's no hustle to get a multiplayer game going. However, the GOG version together with the HD+ mod are the way to go (DRM free too). Also cheaper.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wonder the marketing behind this masterpiece. Excluding the official expansions and random map generator. Buy the GoG version
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buy the GOG version, then you have the 2 expansions + random map generator. This is a masterpiece though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not full version, missing expansion and lunch problem.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I forgot about this one. Don't buy it, GOG version is much higher quality, cheaper and half more content. You should only buy this if you are a dumbass like I was 10 years ago

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not worth it for those looking for the complete game experience, until steam adds the complete edition just get it on gog
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love HoMM3 but, this ain't it. total hackjob, no QoL improvements - not even either of the expansions. for a game I put hundreds of hours into so many years ago, a real disappointment. 0/10 slow shipping.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very poor edition. There's no option for simple battles, only campaigns.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game itself is goated, but it is first of all way to expensive here on steam and it's not the full version, so you won't be able to get something like the conflux town
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lovely game - but I feel a bit sad that Ubisoft releases the original version on Steam 10 years after putting this version out. I bought this game and two copies as gifts, but now I would have to buy the 1999 version that came out last week to be able to play the expansions. Even the free expansion Horns of the Abyss only came out on the 1999 version, leaving us HD edition players stranded. Should I now pay 10 dollars to downgrade my HD-edition to play the game with expansions as intended?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you were ever a fan of this game, do not buy this bs version of it - there's no random map generator, no dlc's, literally nothing good from the original game was made, it's just a quick cash grab by the terrible Ubisoft.

You start a map thinking it’ll take maybe an hour. Then suddenly it’s 3 AM, you’re calculating army losses like a military general, and you’re emotionally attached to a stack of 200 skeletons. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heroes of Might and Magic III is one of the greatest games of all time. One that deffinitely should be played. Just not this version of it, because it's a scam. This version of Heroes of Might and Magic III is just the base game with added HD. Not the complete game, and no map generator. I would recomend getting the game from Good old games (GOG for short). Where you can get the full game, often at a discount, for both less money and a better experience overall. Then just download the free…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →one of the best games of all time... but get it on GOG instead. this is a compromised edition that's not even complete
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An amazingly lazy and poor release of one of the best games of all time. A release that will not lock the mouse cursors to the screen, preventing you from mouse scrolling the map in multi monitor setup.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the original pixel art is way better. still a good game, but the original is better
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There never was a reason to buy this. But as of now there is NO reason to buy this. The original game is up for grabs on Steam for only £9, and it ACTUALLY has the other expansions. Just get that, the HD mod, and HoTA if you want more content. Then you have the best way to experience HoMM3. The Remake's art style loses all the soul and magic this game has.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ONLY BUT THIS GAME FROM GOG Good game with alright replayability. trying out new tactics and mechanics to advance the game is really fun. but dont spend your money on the steam version. I only bought it for achivement hunting
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The player is forced to either play the HD version without any add-ons or the non-HD version that has both of them. If you didn't already know that Ubisoft is a joke of a company, now you do. It is what it is though, and I'm not gonna throw sh*t on this beautiful gem just because its current publisher s*cks major d*cks. I'm happy to announce that Heroes III HD works without any issues on Windows 10. It's still the same game as back in the day, and it's super nice that I can play it in 1080p…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Greetings! Would you please consider adding the Heroes III Complete to the HD Edition with all the campaigns and story available in the Heroes III game, and offer that for potential purchase in the future! I would be one of users that will buy the complete Edition once it will be released, and I believe I might not be the only one. Thank you kindly in advance!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. They really should have just kept adding campaigns to this instead of coming out with other, inferior editions.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought it just to have cloud saves and this version doesn't support them. Just buy it in gog
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A legend. Not much else to say. Heroes of Might & Magic III is still one of the most addictive strategy games ever made. The gameplay loop — “just one more turn” — works dangerously well even today. Tactical battles, town development and map exploration are perfectly balanced and it’s incredibly satisfying whether you play casually or min-max every resource. Story isn’t really the point here, but that never mattered — the gameplay carries everything. Even decades later, many players still…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ubisoft scam, worst company ever.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game of my childhood and still fun to play, with good soundtrack and a bit of nostalgia. HD edition lacks some features and DLCs, which is quite sad and a very unfortunate move, but it still has nice gameplay, very good diversity of creatures and well-balanced factions. Thats how remasters should be done. A legendary game. Necropolis rulez
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heroes 3 HD looks nicer and runs smooth. It’s still a super fun strategy game, but missing the old expansions. Great for fans, just not the full package.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game, I have played it since the original was released. I can't wait for the 3D version next year.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ok since i cant type a reviel for the re reales for this game that WHY THE HELL DIDNT YOU ADD THE DLC TO THIS VERSION AND CALLED IT A DAY YOU NUM NUTS
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is going to be that one Simpsons frogurt skit. On one hand you have a proper HD remaster of Heroes III, the best game in the entire Might & Magic franchise and arguably one of the best classic strategy games ever made period. On the other hand... for whatever weird reason this doesn't include Armageddon's Blade, the quintessential expansion that made Heroes III the monumental juggernaut that it was. So if you want to enjoy the base game in all it's bland vanilla goodness go right ahead,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is literally bring me back when I was about 7 years old running in the mall hunting for this game ot play on my pentiuom 3 new pc that my mom got me this is wild now i am 30 this game have so much memory ! LOVE IT! 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Missing the expansion quests from original game so they can rob your wallet later. Graphics do not really impress me that much. I would still play it if the old graphics were used.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not buy the HD version. It is a fail attempt of money grab. It cannot be updated for expansions on steam. As Ubi claims the files for the expansions has been lost. There is ways around it but at end just got to GoG its easier and grab complete
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →everything is great accept that the expansion games are not available
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is missing files . just install the origional
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as good without Horn of the Abyss, but still a solid game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would give this 3 of 5. It's very much like the game I owned. The difference is there are less Artifacts, missing the random map generator, and one less race. There was also a feature of combining the same artifacts together that is missing in this version.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No expansions, not worth it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is only a third of the game, get "HOMMIII Complete" which consists of Restoration of Erathia, Armageddon's Blade and Shadow of death. It's only £3.95 at GoG. This complete version has lots of extras , for example the combination artifacts feature! Comments enabled -
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a scum, never buy that edition!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🏰 RETRO RAID VERDICT: HEROES OF MIGHT & MAGIC III - HD EDITION 🏰 I intended to play for one hour. Capture a nearby mine, recruit a few creatures and stop after one more turn. Then an enemy hero appeared near my town. Naturally, I had to deal with that first. Several battles, three conquered towns and the complete disappearance of the evening later, Heroes of Might & Magic III had defeated me without ever entering combat. Steam records 63 hours in the HD Edition. The real…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A turning point for the series, it’s just as you remember it, a timeless classic and probably the best way to play it today. That said, the game doesn’t pull any punches, some levels are genuinely tough and will require you to restart several times and adapt your strategy on the fly, but everything else: the factions, the maps, the combat system, the magic is still there. On the downside, the absence of extra campaigns that were included in the previous Complete Edition and which continue the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Who hasn't played this classic yet? If you didn't, play it right now. It's great. Even taking off the nostalgia glasses this game is still super fun and very engaging for the year it was released.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This an incomplete game... and you are not able to create your own map/scenario/difficulty..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →HoMM 3 was the first game I played on a computer with Half-Life. This game has special meaning for me, lots of memorys from my childhood. I love still playing this game. Legendary and epic!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Release other games of HoMM series, even III is not full and somehow doesn't come with all the expansion packs. It would be amazing to see HoMM 1,2, and IV, but perhaps it will stay just a dream.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is the best TBS(Turn Based Strategy) of its kind. The game still looks good today and its still fun, especially if you played it back in 99-2000 like i did. This is probably a nostalgia product which is sad because its still better than a lot of the games that come out today. The music is great. Its classical music. The art style is also great. Its the classical art style which looks timeless. The castles are all great and the units in them make sense. You have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a classic, I like the 3rd one more than any other. Its a good game with solid gameplay and tons of story lines and multiplayer games.
