This game is such a shame, incredible atmosphere and visuals, and some really fantastic setpieces. All bogged down into a bad experience by endless amounts of jank. Balance feels like it was a afterthought, enemies deal insane damage on the normal difficulty where as you have to shoot them far more. Your hands are constantly covered in vasaline, so you just drop things constantly, and it's very easy to not notice …

So this is the first VR game I've boughtsince getting into VR and I'm now worried no other VR game will live up to the bar this game has set (save HL:Alyx). "DEAR GOD THE HORROR" Into the Radius is a one-of-a-kind VR survival game. It's rough, it's mysterious, it makes you have a full-blown panic attack in the middle of a mission. It's kind of perfect, in it's unique and STALKER-inspired way. Pros: - Unique environment and atmosphere. ITR has 5 different zones to explore and loot (and probably die too). Each one is different than the last. The loneliness and desperation …

This is peak VR. Absolutely quintessential. Everything feels natural, movement and grabbing is fluid, everything is dialled in with a high level of polish, it just works flawlessly. I can honestly say that is this one of the few VR titles that doesn't have any "VR jank" to it, as I stated, this indeed highly polished. (Game played on Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop) (Which is why my playtime is so low, for some reason launching ITR on Virtual Desktop doesn't tell Steam that it's running, so even though I've beaten an Ironman run of the game Steam only recognized like an hour of playtime) ITR1 is a great game, front to back it's a solid experience. It's also been a very unique one because I fully beat ITR2 twice before trying out ITR1. A ton of the comments for ITR2 say the same thing, it's great but 1 was…

It's a great game, despite how clunky it is at times and the awful balance (sliders...), it gives you time to think about life while playing, and its just enjoyable... at least if you like survival games of the type It also runs pretty fine on my system, a little laggy at times, maybe it's my memory.

Might sound ironic, but what convinced me to go back and review this game was its second iteration. Into the Radius is, in retrospect, a fairly simple game, with little enemy variety and somewhat bland, same-ish looking locations/maps. While this might not sound too great, the little it does, intentional or not, it does perfectly. Progression feels rewarding, difficulty feels just right (You can fine-tune a lot of aspects if you wish to) atmosphere feels unique. While it is hard to not…

I'm only 5 hours in, but this game is friggin amazing. I don't think VR is really worth recommending to most people, it's too expensive and it's not taking off like it should be, but this is one of those games that makes you realize just how good it COULD be if more developers with a passion invested in it. There are only three games I've actually tried in the six months I've had my headset. HL: Alyx, Walking Dead S&S, and this, and this is easily the one I enjoy the most. Alyx is…

Played on the Valve Index. I was enjoying this for the most part, but the experience quickly got ruined due to poor choices in terms of the game's design: 1. Text on your journal is straight up unreadable, and text on the map can be nearly as bad. 2. Your hands will get caught on things in the environment. This never caused me any real problems but having your hands getting stuck on geometry gets annoying when the game also wants you to frequently interact with cramped spaces, e.g. drawers.…

I played this after playing ITR2 and I'm not trying to take anything away from this game, it's certainly an awesome game and a unique VR experience, but ITR2 improves just about everything that this game did. Just about the only thing that this game has over ITR2 is slightly more enemy variety. With that in mind, I have to recommend ITR2 over this game if you have neither of them and only want to try one of them. But if you've played ITR2 and want to give this game a try, as well,…

One of the best VR games I've played to date. I had a blast. Gunplay, exploration, inventory management etc. were all very fun. I had some audio related gripes and a few minor bugs and text typos here and there, but nothing that would detract from my enjoyment. One of the best VR survival horror games i've ever played.. Managing your equipment, doing runs to make money to strengthen your arsenal, mentally counting your ammo, physically having to reload- pure genius. The body slots are perfectly immersive if a bit jank when moving, and some of the paparazzi missions feel bugged to the point where I avoid them but outside of those few hiccups, I think Into the Radius is one of my favorite VR games of all time. If you like Games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or METRO this is for you. A Dangerous zone, a Mysterious Story, Strange Shadowy Monsters, and butthart survival. All this combined with a damm well made immersion for a VR game that is not triple A. The Start is hard as you realy have to EARN the gear you need to survive, but one you get into it, its like a drug. You cant stop playing. PROTIP: Get a Powerbank for your Headset.

It's not bad, but it's not good either: a solid 5/10. Economy: My main issue is that it's nearly impossible to progress. Near the end of the game, you're still getting paid 400 bucks (or whatever currency the game uses) to run to three different locations, kill 50+ enemies, grab three anomalies, and get back. Along the way you damage all your gear and spend around 5k on ammo and medical supplies, so you end up at a net loss. Your gun drops to 0 durability after 50 shots, and it costs about 2k…

Sometimes a little buggy, sometimes a little jank, but nevertheless an experience that is so fitted to VR that it should be considered as influential to the hobby as Half Life Alyx is. This sucks, any atmosphere the game may have is constantly ruined by the corny sounds of the enemies and during gameplay I've found that the combat feels rather shallow (other than the extensive managing of your weapons mid-fight), with enemy AI seemingly only having the goal and depth to focus on dealing you damage. I could barely even play this game due to it being made in Unreal Engine, which caused VERY poor performance and let me have the delightful sight of textures so low quality that…

I am refunding it because I am just not that interested in it personally, it's a little too slow paced for my instant-gratification addicted brain. Top-notch VR game! I already completed the Meta Quest Store version about a year ago, and recently got the PCVR version in a bundle with ITR2, and I was really surprised by how different it feels and better it looks when it runs through PC, it's almost like a new game. I would probably play again if I had more time. Even with limited, optimized Quest graphics, it was an insane game experience. The immersion and game loop are among the best, definitely in my top 3 VR games.

Painfully cumbersome inventory management, endlessly respawning enemies even at your location (as you're spending an eternity just arranging your ammo), bullet sponge enemy hordes combined with awful weapon and ammo management. The realism of weapon management looks fun initially but the game really makes it infuriating because of the bad pacing / constant enemies.

I don't think it's an awful game but the controls overall are extremely outdated and clunky. Snap turns have some weird delay between them making turning around a pain sometimes. If you can get past the controls it's a decent extraction style survival game just not really my kind of game.

Hands down the best VR game ever created for me, and I do not say that lightly. It was the first of it's kind and did near everything perfectly. The atmosphere is stunning and bleak in a beautiful way. This game even in vanilla had me go through some of if not THE my most terrifying experiences in any video game. The story is quite a mess that's written quite poorly (feels like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. written by an 8th grader) with voice actors seemingly sounding either bored of the script, uncaring or completely overenthusiastic for the job the whole time, who keep going from Russian accents to English to American, in short, inconsistent (the ending is genuinely awful to sit through as well.) The gameplay is alright, the missions are mostly fetch quests and get redundant pretty fast, gunplay and customizations…

Immersive but janky. This game takes advantage of the added immersion of VR by adding little interactions like smoking, eating, and cleaning guns. That plus the desolate, dead atmosphere of the game really transport you into this game and it feels so much scarier. I like how they added sounds from the area's past; hearing a non existent train randomly while exploring makes you feel a little nervous. Exploring the desolate world of the game and looting is pretty fun, but it can get boring after…

It runs very poorly, pretty much unplayable in many areas.
