KIBORG
Developer Sobaka Studio
KIBORG is a brutal rogue-lite beat’em up where you enhance your body with new cybernetic implants each run. You’ve been sent to the worst prison in the galaxy for crimes you didn’t commit. Death won’t provide an escape, but a violent reality show may offer a way out. From the Steam store page

What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 197 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (1,218 of 1,440 positive).
Players praise the addictive gameplay loop and satisfying combat, often comparing it to the Batman Arkham series. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note the game has jank, bugs, and a weak story, but many find it fun despite these flaws. [4][5][6] The game is described as a rewarding roguelite with deep upgrades that encourage repeated runs. [7][8][9]

It's just honestly kind of a mess early on. I can see how once you really dig your teeth into the upgrades you become a bit of an unstoppable killing machine. But to begin with, you absolutely suck. This is made worse by how clunky the controls are, especially the lock on attacks that just send you flying to whatever it feels like. Ranged enemy that you really need to deal with fast? Ah well, the game has sent you …

KIBORG isn’t the prettiest game in town, but it’s been one of 2025’s more pleasant surprises and it absolutely deserves a shout-out. A substance over style sort of stuff. In an already crowded roguelite genre, it somehow held my attention long enough to complete it 100% across all seven difficulty levels. That’s rare for me these days, especially after clearing a game once or twice. A core reason is how easy KIBORG …

Masterclass in pick-up and play fighting thats fun and replayable every time. If you liked Arkham Asylum you'd love KIBORG because its that fighting system with LOTS of improvement. Guns, melee weapons and implants that make every run different. Threatening enemies to dispatch and a hopeless, prison aesthetic where Quake 2 meets Undisputed and Bloodsport make a gritty experience we need VERY much in our age of …

(For any new players, make sure to check the panel to the left of the elevator periodically, the game has a habit of changing the default difficulty). It's jank as hell, but there's nothing else quite like it. It's basically what if the Arkham combat was an arena roguelite, but make it Eurojank. And in the classic style of Eurojank, where Eastern European developers prioritize the ambition and idea over the most …

Good game, however it's pretty far from finished. Lots of misspellings, broken mechanics, ai generated speech randomly chiming into conversations, missing achievements, story doesn't make a whole lot of sense, so on and so forth. I'd say it's worth 20 dollars if you like the style of gameplay, but it definitely has lots of room for improvement.

I've been keeping my eye on both of these games for awhile but I wasn't sure if either one of them really deserved a post here. But since they both released this week I figure one post for both games is sufficient. I should mention I haven't bought either one yet, I just thought others here might be interested. [CyberCorp](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1116170/CyberCorp/) is a top-down twin-stick looter-shooter. So…

If that’s true, then you can probably ignore most of what I wrote before update. I’ll probably come back in a couple of weeks to try the new implant, and if all the issues I ran into are actually fixed, I’ll update my review. I still have a bunch of questions about the game, but overall, I did have fun with it. If they ever add alternative floors so there are two options for each…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →See, this is a MIXED. All over. The base game is a massive amount of fun. The voice acting is probably the worst I've ever heard. The story is... let's just say it exists, and I can't be kinder than that. This DLC is pretty tough, and barring a few dumb glitches (people can spawn inside the floor, camera can VERY easily get useless on terrain if you get backed into a corner) - quit to menu and resume the playthrough circumvents every single one of these issues. The final boss is... crap.…

Like you didn’t just figure something out. That’s adorable. At first you fight to survive. Then you fight to win. And eventually… you realize you’re not fighting at all. You’re refining. Every run strips something away. Fear. Hesitation. Doubt. You come back cleaner. More efficient. Like the system is sanding you down into something…

Then said games lives up to your expectations with added Indie Jank. It took me 8ish hours to complete on difficulty 1 across multiple runs trying varying builds. The game didn't seem overly harsh and there are permanent upgrades. However, these are my top 5 improvements: 1) Make melee weapons more viable with increased durability, or…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have a lot to say about this game but I want to get back to playing it so I'll keep it short, at first I was like awe man, Combat feels clunky and slow then I started to get unlocks and upgrades got deeper into the skill tree I keep saying, one more run, but that turns into 2-3 hours of many more runs, because I just got more juiced and almost beat that boss's second phase that surprised me. there's only one difficulty, feels balanced, has cool synergies and mutations that make epic runs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Kiborg, you wake up with no memory in a prison that looks like Fury Road was scaped off the desert highway and dumped into a dystopian warehouse. A deformed fat man watches you on a monitor and tells you who to kill, so you kill them. This is essentially the game. I’ve read the reviews calling it a janky little brother to the Arkham series and they aren’t wrong about the jank, but they’re wrong to pigeonhole it as a knock-off. I believe its strength is that Kiborg only reaches as far as…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game took about 2 hours to click for me. Once it did, it became incredibly fun. The combat has a similar feel to Batman Arkham, but it's fairly different. The is a light attack, heavy attack and circular attack. The is also a manual lock on button. When you learn to use it, that is when you feel like Batman, flying across the room to punch a thug. There is the rogue like aspects of the game that are very good and diverse. But what makes this game stick out is it's permanent skill tree.…

positive · AI labelView post →Very nice! I died a lot, but getting stronger every time... Why are AAA games so expensive and not even as good as a lot of these AA games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't like a single thing about this game. It's a mishmash of a lot of things, with none of them done well. Progression, combat (mele and firearms)... All feels clumsy and overcomplicated, nothing flows well. After giving it a generous amount of time, I'm done with it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Talks about gameplay loop. You come back and repeat. The game does not punish you. It motivates you to keep playing to improve. When you upgrade your characters thanks to your efforts and beat the tower, you feel a sense of reward. I want to feel that. I love to unlock new powers and weapons. I cannnot stop. It is addictive. I can't wait for the expansion KIBORG: descent. Still get some stutters and fps drops but I fix them lowering graphics and still looks amazing My full review here…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a fun brawler, shooter with plenty of upgrades and randomness which keep it interesting, Plenty of upgrades and combos to buy in game with the credits you earn from each playthrough. You will die a lot at first but slowly you become a beast that caters to you playstyle. Give it a try!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not recommend if you expect story campaign you will be very disappointed it just same loop chapter wave for 7 ending and each 1 cutscenes but if you like endless and gore combat for farming level and satisfying maybe that for you
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buying yourself a new skull, then fighting an ungodly amount of enemies while being heckled by a sentient tumor with a russian accent. 9/10 (Inga subtracts a point)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the visuals did not blow my mind - Imho this is probably the most fun, genre-mixing candidate for 2025 and Sobaka-Team has deserved all the praise they received. Keep it up
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad camera ruins the game. This could have been a really fun game. The combat is pretty good. The powers are interesting. The graphics are good. The bad camera just sours the whole experience. The camera is way too tight and so sensitive. I have tried adjusting the FOV, but this fish eye effect just makes me nauseous. The camera angles could be forgiven if enemies didn't randomly teleport all around you. Getting shot at and killed from an off screen enemy is never fun and it happens all the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I held off on buying this game for a while (mainly just waiting to be in the mood for a beat-em-up) and when it went on sale recently, I picked it up. I wish I had picked it up earlier, this game rules. lol Combat is fluid and very punchy, it really feels nice flying across the room, landing crunchy smack after crunchy smack, then finishing it up with an elbow blow that hits so hard it blows the top half of their body off. Side Note - I've seen people complaining about the voice of Volkov,…

positive · AI labelView post →Game need patches. Sometimes "lose 20% health" is "lose 20% maximum health"... etc. Looks like somebody just didn't had time to polish game, this is sad. I hope developer will fix translations. Because of that this can destroy some loop.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a damn great roguelike action game! you got fists, guns, and big variety of implants and very nice combat. and also feeling quite oldchool, idk why but it recalled memories from Fighthing Force (PS1) game is definitely worth a try!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The urge to take one more run is alive and well within this one, and even though I never fancied myself a beat em up game lover, there is so much more to experience here. Would love some Dualsense mapping, but outside of that, this is one serious banger.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →infuriating, repetative and sometimes just unfair
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love Redeemer, this is like a less story driven arena version of Redeemer with beefed up graphics, new modifiers, and some comedy mixed in. Absolute blast of a game with a ton of replay value that I've enjoyed since I picked it up. Will continue supporting this studio for a long long time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →KiBorg is what you get when you mix the combat from the Batman Arkham games, Sleeping Dogs and the Surge. Then turn it into a rouge like and make it ridiculously addicting. I'm having a freaking blast with this one! This little indie game is a keeper in my book. #videogames #kiborg #rougelike

neutral · AI labelView post →My nephew spent the weekend here so I installed [Kiborg](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2405060/KIBORG/) from my backlog for some mindless fun. It's pretty decent. Good roguelike upgrade variety. Enemies are varied enough as well. Bosses are nothing to write home about. Story is barely there. All in all perfect for the occasion.
neutral · AI labelView post →Ruined by ranged weapons & enemies. Too many unfun mechanics and bad animations, incredibly early access feeling.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Launched it twice then can never again. Shaders crash on opening, verifying game files and the devs "fix" of deleting the pre cache files does nothing to fix it. Unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Um, I don't particularly care for complex combo-based games that constantly introduce combo-breaking enemies. Why build a fun system and then punish the player for daring to be involved? Come on. Just let me have fun punching guys, it's not that complicated.

Not all of us have precognition to be able to block in the millisecond timing windows for parries, no real way to recover health (the only way to get enemies to drop health packs is a freaking 1% chance WAY up in one branch of the the skill tree??? wtf!!), EVERYTHING devastates your health, blocking barely works, I mean, I really want to enjoy this game but its just frustrating as fu*k. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely enthralling gameplay, incredibly addictive in the best way possible. The freeflow combat flows so perfectly you can master the combos and get implants to empower them more or go full brute strength and ignore some of the combos, but in both aspects you'll have different interesting challenges, and that's only 2 of the possible sets this game has not counting the mixups of DNA, augmentations, and implants from different sets. You can go range if you want distance or power if you wanna…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Grindy, poorly tuned experience with weak combat and weak narrative. Nothing about this game is fun. Combat is unsatisfying, the story is forgettable, and the music is annoying. The game also lies about healing: it claims you recover after clearing a room, but you don't - you must find a special healing room, and even that won't fully restore you. Death usually comes at the second mini-boss, which forces you to start over and slowly grind a resource to unlock bland skills that barely make you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is enjoyable, but not for its current price point. I want to preface my review by saying I did get this game for 13.60 usd and at that price I find it was money well spent. This game is more akin to an early access title than a fully finished indie game. While I do recommend this game, id give it a 3/5 POSSIBLY a 4 for the player that likes fighting games, it just needs so much work. The start of your journey will probably be a bit rough as combat isnt fully fledged out and has quite…
