What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 184 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (719 of 870 positive).
Players say this collection is essential for understanding Kingdom Hearts 3's story. [1][2][3] Many reviewers warn the bundle is overpriced for its content, recommending a sale purchase. [4][2][5][6] Some players report technical issues like framerate problems and audio glitches. [7][8]

As someone who played this extensively I must urge you not to buy this collection until Square Enix fixes it's framerate issues. On the current drivers on my Nvidia GPU the game is broken, unable to reach 60 when said FPS is set to 60 and no combination of turning off and on the "refresh rate" and setting the framecap to unlimited work at the moment. I have tried using every fix imagineable under the sun, rtss, …

You can probably already tell this by the name of the collection, but this is the part of the Kingdom Hearts series where the overall storyline becomes nigh-incomprehensible, but in a completely strange turn of events the games contained on this collection are genuinely important to have any level of understanding as to what the hell is going on in Kingdom Hearts 3. Dream Drop Distance is a remaster/port of a …

Don't buy this by itself. Seriously. This bundle consist of: a 15 hr 3ds game, a 1 hr cutscene, a 2hr tech demo. DDD and 0.2 are really fun, but not at this price. Get the Integrum bundle when its on deep discount instead. That said, if you wanna play KH3, the stuff in this bundle is a must for lore.. and they are actually fun.

Im rating this positive, entirely because there is no option to create a neutral review. While this collection does contain roughly 50 hours of content if you are going for completion such as myself, there is not enough content to justify the price tag or the contents of the collection. If you are going to be buying this collection i would only reccomend purcahsing it during a sale when there is a steep discount, …

I absolutely do NOT recommend buying this collection at full price simply because for $60, the amount of content on offer is kind of a rip compared to the other two Kingdom Hearts games on Steam. Unlike the 1.5+2.5 collection, only one of the titles in here (Dream Drop Distance HD) is an actual full-length game and even then, it's one of the shorter "full-length" titles in the series. The other two are a 2 hour …

KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue sits at 80% positive across 203 opinionated reactions from 3 sources. Fresh or rotten — where do you land?
Critics, per Wikipedia
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue received "generally favorable" reviews, according to video game review aggregator platform Metacritic. It sold 137,797 copies within its first week of release in Japan. Reviewers universally praised the graphical re-creation of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance on the PlayStation 4 from its origins on the Nintendo 3DS. USgamer referred to the game's conversion from one optimized for a two-screen portable game system to a console one as "lovely". Game Informer was also impressed by the visual improvements made from the game's rerelease. However, GameSpot criticized the lack of any other changes to the title, such as populating the game's "overly…

Dream Drop Distance is a remaster/port of a Nintendo 3DS game that is, in my opinion, the best of the "side" games in the series…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Kingdom Hearts but i do not recommend to get this one for the lack of content you get. For starters you get one 3DS game that is fine at best in my opinion. Yes, the story is good and the ending was awesome but the game itself bore me and it feels cheap. especially since the game is not well optimized and feels awful to play. You also get a movie that you get watch on Youtube for free. Finally you get a demo for Kingdom Hearts 3 that is awesome but can be finished in 3 hours. For…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve played Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 and loved both—especially KH2, which had an amazing story. So of course I was excited to play Kingdom Hearts 3, but people online said I needed to play KH 2.8 first to understand the lore. So that's what I did. But after finishing KH 2.8, I honestly wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re a hardcore fan. What Worked Birth by Sleep (Aqua’s story): This was the highlight. It had an interesting backstory with Aqua. And even though it was a short adventure I still…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A three item collection of one game, a glorified tech demo, and a movie of the mobile game cutscenes that make for a pretty disappointing bundle. This is the second of the Kingdom Hearts game bundles, containing Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A fragmentary passage, and χ Back Cover, a short film of the mobile gatcha game cutscenes. The main feature in terms of gaming is Dream Drop Distance, whose mechanics of play I found so off-putting that I ended up tapping out…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish Steam allowed me to do mixed reviews, as that’s more in line with my feelings about this collection, but negative will have to do. For $60 as the base price, you are paying for 1 game, a tech demo, and a ‘movie’ that is just the cutscenes of a mobile/gacha game that you cannot play at all. Now, luckily, I bought this at a sale a few months back for only $56 because I bought the bundle, but even then this should be cheaper than the first collection. At least with the first collection you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A rather pointless and overpriced bundle with a stupidly lengthy title. For a whopping 60 bucks, you get a HD remaster of one of the weakest portable Kingdom Hearts (not a fan the drop mechanic), a movie made of cut-scenes from a discontinued gacha that you may just as well watch on Youtube, and a glorified tech demo for kingdom Hearts 3 that serves as a short sequel to Birth by Sleep. While the last item has some saving graces in terms of story, combat and level design, it only lasts a couple…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of those "I wish steam had a mixed option". DDD is one of the best games in the series and super important to the story and 0.2 is also essential to playing as it's the epilogue to BBS. However this collection is not at all the same value as the first (They should've probably moved BBS to this one or something) and it has some weird issues that I'm shocked haven't been fixed. DDD has weird graphical issues that require some odd solutions (ranging from just turning off V-Sync to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gonna start off by saying idk if I think this collection is worth 60 dollars, 1.5+2.5 is an amazing value at 50, and KH3 is a modern AAA game with DLC included, but this is basically a 3DS game, a movie, and a demo for KH3. That said I would say if you buy this on sale or something I did have fun with it. I do think this is a good game, formatting this the same as my 1.5+2.5 review: Dream Drop Distance: Some of the funnest Kingdom Hearts, I loved all the Disney Worlds to death, getting to…

neutral · AI labelView post →Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is a solid collection that bridges important story gaps in the Kingdom Hearts saga. Dream Drop Distance HD plays smoothly, while 0.2 Birth by Sleep is a standout showcase of modern visuals. There is also a movie included, which helps set up future entries. Essential for fans, though newcomers may feel lost without prior knowledge.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just like the 1.5 and 2.5 collection, I will update the review as i go along. Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance: So I played on Proud. Dont do that. Aside from that just about everything in this game is fantastic. I have a few minor complaints, and I must warn you, the final bosses will genuinely test your skill if you choose to play on Proud. I still remember getting my butt handed to me on Beginner even. Another great port that works flawlessly with 0 crashes. Also, this is the first KH…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finally beat KH DDD on PC, but I'm running into an issue. The game crashes before I can get to the end-game Save Screen. I'm probably going to skip doing this KH game at Level 1 because I won't be able to unlock the Optional Boss. Other people have had this same exact issues, so anyone who plays KH DDD it's better to play it on PS4 as much as I hate saying that. I've even tried lowering the graphics setting to as low as it can go. It's so dumb. Square Enix really wants more people to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kingdom Hearts is a fun franchise to see from the outside because literally the only thing I know about it is that Sephirot is in like the second one. A friend of mine tried to get me into it in college so he started me on Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and I was so fucking lost man.
neutral · AI labelView post →The optimization is GARBAGE. First room of the final world, an unavoidable enemy spawn? Frame drops. Game still runs but it just shouldn't be acceptable. I'll stick to the 3DS version til fixes are made. These games do not deserve this shoddy presentation.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gotta say again that I love how Kingdom Hearts writes with emotion first and explanations second. At times, it can create confusion, but most of the time, it's pure magic. (Let's lean into the fact that, at this point, I'm invested in every story beat and overanalyzing everything like it's a children's murder case. (It is.)) my biggest complaint would be that this isn't really a collection, if that makes sense. 0.2 Birth by Sleep is basically a demo, and χ Back Cover is just a one hour…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love these games a lot but it's hard to recommend, mostly because Dream Drop Distance's performance on this port is awful. If your refresh rate is set to off, it hovers around 57/58 FPS with slight dips to 53/54 FPS in battle, and if you have Refresh Rate set to on, it maintains 60 FPS up until you reach a battle, in which it can dip as low as 40 FPS. Neither setting is particularly appealing when you consider that this is a remaster of a 3DS game from 2012. Having it run this bad is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →everyone should just go full JRPG with it like how Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue includes a game called Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage- because Kingdom Hearts 2.8 + Kingdom Hearts 0.2 = Kingdom Hearts 3
neutral · AI labelView post →It was nice being able to play 3D for the first time, as I didn't have a chance to play it on its launch console. Wasn't a bad game, but not my favorite out of the franchise. Aqua's story "A Fragmented Passage" was very enjoyable though. I liked learning about the story from other character's point of view. It was a short and sweet play through well worth the cost of the mini collection.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly it's very much skippable. Yes 0.2 offers some new shiny graphics, but it's very short, it's literally a technical demo for KH3. Dream Drop Distance is the main dish and despite some new gameplay features, it's a lesser KH episode, the story doesn't move forward, it's kinda low quality and lazy compared to the main episodes. Overall this part of the Integrum compilation is optional and is not worth its price at all.

Having watched 358/2 days (which should have been a remake), having played kh2.5 and bbs under the 1.5 remix hd collection, I feel that the disney characters were disguised into a dark plot which focused on existential and emotional horror. I didn't expect that I would tear up in a kids game since kh3 felt very restricted in terms of darkness when I played as a child. For the 2.8 HD bundle which leads to the events of kh3, it was kind of…

Seriously, they want the same price as for the 2.5 remix and what is included, feels like leftover scraps. I know, that a lot of people, me included, criticize Kingdom Hearts for reading like a bad, overtly convoluted fan - fiction, but i get the appeal. The original games have their own unique nostalgia adventure vibe with some nice sprinkles of melancholy. I'm saying…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3D: the most fun entry in the series up to this point by a mile, the flowmotion combat synergizes incredibly well with the command system if you have them set up right. yeah the Drop mechanic is annoying but the payoff it has later in the story makes it's existence entirely worth it 0.2: this could have been an email, beat it in 2.5 hours lmao X: this is an hour long movie just sit back and enjoy the show before you have to start back at level 1 in KH3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dream drop distance has crashed 4 times on me now, and while the mechanics are interesting they feel slightly have baked and not worth the effort of replaying content due to crashes. The drop mechanic is also insanely annoying and I can't ever remember what I was doing on the last character when I switch back. The Maps are very large too but kind of uninteresting. The Pokemon/Dream Eater content is kind of fun but you have to play these baby sensory mini games to max them out. Will update…

Whether you're using a plug in controller or a keyboard there's a high chance your controls will decide to just not respond, and you'd be at the starting enemies mercy lol I found a fix, setting it to 1920 res with an uncapped fps, from the 30fps it's on be default.
