I would never have played this, if it wasn't for Humble Choice, but the game was surprisingly fun. The cost is excessive when compared to other pixel art of the caliber of Stardew Valley for example (which costs less and the contents are infinite). The game is fun, but the controls are terrible. The story begins to wind down towards the finale. It has no replayability. 6/10 my rating.

While the art is pretty nice, neither the gameplay nor the puzzles in this comedic puzzle adventure game are strong enough to hold up the game themselves. The story is kind of uninspired and the quirky, randomish humor doesn't do anything for me. Maybe if you're more into goofiness than me you'd enjoy the game, but I myself cannot recommend Kraken Academy.

I actually quite enjoyed the time loop mechanic and, surprisingly, it didn't become tedious after a while. This is probably because the story is fairly interesting, with its own particular sense of humour and quirky characters. And I have a soft spot for games with pixel graphics, so that made the experience even more entertaining.

I did this after doing a difficult mini game on hard and the game bugged out and it hadn’t saved. Very quirky and lots of humor. Comes off as low budget but it’s very entertaining. It has a 72 hour time loop I haven’t seen since Majora’s Mask. NPCs are in different location on different days and at times.
