The sale made it worthwhile. I paid 10% of the price for 10% of a game. My first impression of this game was very similar to Jalopy. A great premise, a ton of potential, but abandoned before it's complete in a state that would be tolerable for early access. Only then I found out it was made by the same devs.

it felt like the dev had a lot of love, and then at some point just said it was done and slapped it into full release like an unwanted child, unfinished, full of amazing potential, and buggy as hell, I love this game, and i'm mad that it was just tossed like this with no consideration for it being done or not!!!

Landlord’s Super is one of the most distinctive life simulation games released in recent years because it completely rejects the glamorous fantasy usually associated with management and renovation games. Instead of turning property ownership into a quick path toward wealth and success, the game focuses on the exhausting reality of surviving in a struggling British town during the late 1980s. Players are not powerful …

Went to the pub, had 6 pints, a pie, 3 packs of pork scratchings, 2 shots of rum, was sick on my self then went to the slot machine to gamble, won some money then pissed myself and wasn't allowed to be served so stumbled home to sleep in my caravan. Then I loaded up Landlord Super. Honestly didn't start working on the house till about 4 hours in and by that point I'd been arrested twice for pissing on people and …

I love this game. I can genuinely say this is one of my all time favourite game experiences. This is a game made by somebody with passion and a clear vision. There are some really clever, well thought out mechanics, such as looking down at your tool belt to select tools, or the way construction works. It feels like you're actually building, rather than placing pre-fabricated pieces. You buy the tools and materials, …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →developer abandons every game they make for excuses and leaves it half finished with broken promises. last game was abandoned because of some drama they made up in their own mind and now this is abandoned for no reason and they started work on another game which will drop dead soon
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its like a undercooked cookie, edible but damn could it have been better if it had some more time in the oven. Heres hoping that they will loop back to this game at some point and add more content after they are "done" with their next project. Rinse and repeat...

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wish I could give this game a positive review. The vibes are immaculate; it's a pitch perfect pastiche of Thatcherite Britain and working class England in general. The characters are full of tons of personality conveyed in a minimum of words, and the way the characters vocalise is charming. The music is genuinely very good, not just "good for an indie video game". It's great fun sinking piss and smoking darts, and the general house-building gameplay is satisfying. But for a full…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game itself is good, worthy of sinking hours in it because of the gameplay loops and very addictive gameplay however, the game has a lot of bugs, some of them are easy to fix and some can't be fixed at all (atleast in my experience)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks nice, but does not run very well. Wasted an entire day (about 30 min) of progress because of a bug - after riding the bus the "Skip Transition" option stayed on my screen, which prevented me from putting down my trowel and doing anything else.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bobstream returns tomorrow and I'll be visiting Thatcher-torn Britain in Landlord's Super to do research for the Aruba game. There'll be lots of jokes about how it looks indistinguishable from 2026 Britain, I'm sure.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bit rough, but it allows you to enjoy the Millennial fantasy: Home Ownership and employment EDIT: Turns out it's closer to reality than i originally thought, If you pay off your debt too early, the game soft locks if you sell the property prior to the loan shark Tom Nook'ing you into buying the construction site. Head canon is that was so salty that i wasn't under his thumb that i ended up in the canal "for the greater good". Greater good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Woefully little to actually do. It's front-loaded. If you've seen someone play it online, you've seen what the game has to offer in full, unfortunately.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was entertaining for a bit. It had some issues, and does not seem complete. I wish it had more to it. It was difficult to figure out. I had fun with it for a while. Then it kind of got old. I think the biggest flaw is you are limited to one house. I do not have much else to say. I really hope there are better games from this developer in the future. 3ll3 Dr3d93
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfinished buggy mess. It's a charming and fun game when it works (rarely). I hope their next game will actually be finished by them because they are very unique.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely love the 1.0 release. It let me get ALL the way to building the starter home (which takes multiple hours of grinding btw) and moving in my first tenant before the save decided to just brick itself and break the LANDLORD bit of a game called "LANDLORD super". What this means is my tenant had an issue yet the dialogue option to let me into the house and fix the issue wouldn't appear and my tenant refused to pay the rent unless I fixed the issue, yet wouldn't let me in the house to do…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When i first got this game, it was in it's baby stages, it had potential and I chose to invest and wait and see what they produce through updates. I remember them saying they're keen to know about ways to improve the game etc... so i waited... and waited... and STILL the game is quite buggy and difficult to play unfortunately. The 80s vibe is great but I was hoping for MORE. I'd have been happy paying for expansions etc if the money was the issue. Huge shame really as I loved playing this game.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a great idea. However, is terribly buggy, There are plenty of bugs extremely annoying, for example, not being able to apply motar on top of the windows frame. You can have objects disappearing, or jumping into the air. Some mechanics can be a pain like using the forklift or setting scaffolding. The game looks unpolished or poor quality control. It is a same because this could be a great game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very small for a "full release." It has some cool things and a vibe, but that's it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this at launch and very little changed since, a fun game with passion put in - don't get me wrong. But very unfinished & was abandoned a couple years ago, very unbalanced & tedious at times and was in desperate need of QoL since launch (which was neglected)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this but it just has too many issues to suggest anyone else spend their money on it. There is actually a lot of that handcrafted charm here with fun and interesting details like setting up a TV and then being able to watch real weather reports. Fun things like the cassette player and getting tapes to listen to music (At least at first) What you eat and consume has real affects on your character, Giving away a job to someone else unlocks them being your own delivery…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a vrey cool game its a bummer that the developer stopped updating it i think is very unique and should be played as its a different experience
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The concept is something that could be good but its too broken imo to really recommend this game. There is no save just what you did to that point is saved. So you do a mistake and are punished for it hardcore. Its an unfinished project.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ah waited till after ah’d done up t’bungalow an’ built a proper decent-sized house from nowt before passin’ judgement on t’full game, like. Game’s proper deep, an’ wi’ t’buildin’ system, finally gettin’ summat together feels dead satisfyin’ after havin’ to work out all t’ratios, mix every bit o’ concrete, mortar, an’ that other concrete stuff, hammerin’ every nail, screwin’ in every bloody screw an’ all that. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Charming premise, pleasing graphics, soothing gameplay, all bundled in a deceiving sale. Bought it on a 90%-off sale. I reckon I enjoyed playing it so far, but that's it. Don't even bother buying it on sale - if you really want to experience the game, remember that everything is free on the internet if someone searches well enough. The game is sold as a unique, fulfilling landlord experience - it is not. Unfinished houses are just cosmetic, map is locked beyond the small townside, coding is a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →doesn't deserve the "Very Positive", Yes the game have a great vibe and feel to it but the jank is too much, its not like My summer car jank, its more like early access jank. only got 2.9 hours couse i got a bug that removed my work belt (Used to do everything with) spent like 10 minutes try to fix it but the save is just broken now. just some lazy devs that doesn't care about the game anymore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i wish i could give this game a good review but with how they left this game in the 1.0 state i cant. they over sold under produced the game, one of my bigest things about this game is once you get to the mid-game loop your basicly rebirthing to get more money out of it and not actuley braking off from the only sorce of reliable money and taht would be the pubs pot washing boy and its not pub washing sim

neutral · AI labelView post →I bought this game at the full release launch and it was awesome until I started to run into bugs that made it difficult to play any more. I decided to uninstall and try again in the future. Came back to it this past weekend and it felt like coming home until the bugs hit again and it was impossible to play. Oh how I wish there were updates for some of these bugs so I could just outright love this game but I can't. Because of that I just can't recommend it and that bites. :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In it's current state, I cant recommend anyone buying this unless its on sale for a very low price. It's buggy, it lacks some serious content, and it just feels abandoned. What's there is real fun, but it just needs more.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall, this game is lacking. The graphics, setting and core gameplay give a really good base for an incredible game and I would say that certain elements of the building system are better than most building simulators I've seen. Unfortunately the bits haven't been brought together into a good end product. The building system often doesn't work and is explained poorly, with the attempt at a free form system leaving a lot of problems. Putting a flat roof on bricks, in my experience does not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game can barely run due to the bugs. I don't recommend getting it till they do some major updates.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On its face, Landlord's Super is an examination of 1980's Thatcherist policy in the UK and for what its worth I found that pretty interesting and learned a bit about British history I did not previously know about. What is not interesting is how a game ostensibly about being a self-made landlord living in a RV and trying to mix the cheapest possible cement turns into functionally a gambling simulator very quickly. I have reached the point at about day 24 where I have sold all the scrap, done…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If your into games that dont hold your hand, this ones for you! If you have played my summer car, this game should be called my summer house lol. Very fun game and gives a sense of achievement when you finally figure something out and finish it. 8.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yknow figuring out this is the dev behind Landlord's Super tickled me absolutely pink. I love that game to death and to know the dev is this fuckin' based is incredible. Best of luck on Honcho, I'll be eagerly awaiting the release!

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i used to love watching youtubers play this game back in the spring of 2020, while it was in early access, and i forgot about the game, but after 5 yrs i remebered about it , but didnt know the name of it, but thanks to chatgpt i found it. after all this, i have to say that the game is how it was back in 2020, but much better, with more mechanics and stuff to do, besides renovating the house. if you like games like my summer car, or house flipper, this game is for you, but i suggest buying it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun for the first hour, though that's all you need to "beat" the game - Once you get to having tenants, that's about as much as you can do, no new content or game from then on, and the tenant stage is quite basic. Bulldoze/sell, build or renovate a new home, rinse and repeat. Could've been so much more. Still a good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really don't know how to feel about this one. I kinda like it... but I expected more? I was hoping to buy up plots around town and rent 'em out... but instead, it's the one ♥♥♥♥♥♥ plot and you sell houses away, I guess, on the back of a flatbed to the council, just to build another on the same crappy plot. There are fields around the place that I envisioned building houses on... but they simply exist to accumulate junk to sell each season. Feels like there was going to be more to this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing Idea, god awful execution. Full of bugs and game mechanics that don't work. Game design is really bad with an emphasis on just waiting for things to happen or stop. But what did I expect from the developers of jalopy. Please do me a favour and STOP giving these people your money. -99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999/10 Minskworks deserves to go bankrupt.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →had such high hopes for this game only to be let down by lack of instructions- figured most stuff out up until fixing the roof and even after numerous videos and 3 play through attempts, cannot get past this point, so I give up. a waste of money and time because there's no way to continue in the game. Quite sad really because the game could be awesome.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to like this game but i struggle to i dont know who thought the controls were good needs to give there head a wobble they are so janky it makes the game almost impossible to play i have re started the game two times and both times the roof gets finished but the game does not register it as finished i think im done trying with this game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another buggy mess from Minskworks, this time 1/2 finished instead of 1/4, like Jalopy was. The Good The Setting Offering a fairly authentic feeling experience, with some pretty banger takes on the situation (though a lot of it is quietly slipped into the achievements), it feels nice enough as a game world. The Bad Content There is very little content. There's a few jobs, which seem to repeat (odd, considering they're pretty one-and-done sort of afairs). There's one lot of land, so you can't…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am truly a British Slumlord. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →these games are really hard to evaluate because the core of building has to be near perfect in its execution (which it isnt) on top of the main experience of being the landlord. This game has awesome premise and decent execution but in its current state its not worth the money. Once you actually get a tenant the game comes to a complete halt and you really dont have much to do. (yet idk)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinda sick and tired of having scousers as thieves and robbers. It would be a nice game if it didn't have that offensive stereotype in it...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is this game a bit of a buggy mess? Yes! Is it a cool indie game that grounds you in reality while also letting you have a bit of cheeky fun while building homes that may or may not pass building code? Also yes. Would I buy this game at full price? Probably not. This game is really entertaining and I love the small town vibe and the towns folk. Just don't pee in front of the bartender. Some aspects are super relaxing, but some are super stressful. I do like that they don't expect you to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →geez a job maggie
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a good game and all. buttttttttt. the job centre does give you the same jobs over and over, somethings arent properly explained to you like roofing, NOT WORTH £16.50 (i got it on sale which is the only time you should buy it) BUT dont think this means i dont recommend this game its great and the characters are pretty great. overall good enjoyable game just only buy it on sale (game also runs well)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get to steal from the homeless, drink in public, and take a wizz on the coppers, proper british simulator here, APPROVED
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cant beat a lil bit of subliminal racism, its JUST like England.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There just isn't enough content. This doesn't have the feel of a small game, it feels like at some point during development they just stopped and shipped it as is. It's a shame, because I really liked the beginning, and clearly the fundamentals are there. I got it during a €2 sale, so I'd say I got my money's worth, kind of like playing a beta. I wouldn't consider it worth the normal €20 price.
