Players find the game hilarious and fun with friends, despite bugs and jank. [1][2][3] Some reviewers criticize it as a clone of R.E.P.O. with less polish. [4][5][6] Others appreciate the early access content and frequent updates. [7][8][9]

We have R.E.P.O. at home. This isn't inspiration. It's a reskin. We've played a fair amount of games in this genre, starting with Lethal Company and eventually leading up to R.E.P.O., and one thing that made the genre work was that every game brought something of its own to the table. Even the games in between that didn't blow up in popularity still had their own identity. They might have borrowed the general …

Booty slaps. Edit: sad to see negative reviews complaining about bugs in early access. Don't buy a game in early access expecting it to be flawless. None of the bugs I've come across are anything game breaking. Some items getting stuck for a bit or clipping through stuff, and some controls like flipping the cart or cauldron could definitely improve, but I had a ton of fun! If you like silly pirate games, this is a …

Didn't expect to like this as much tbh The stretchy arms are such a stupid but good mechanic lmao. Being able to grab loot, throw stuff and basically bully your friends makes the whole thing way more entertaining. And once a monster appears everything immediately becomes a mess. Would like the monster behavior/balance to be improved tho, sometimes it feels more frustrating than scary. But the core loop is fun and …

The game is super fun to spend evenings in with a group of friends. Keep in mind that they will make you mad by constantly ragdolling you from slapping your cheeks :)) Game takes inspiration from REPO but has way more content (locations, mobs). There are now chapters, which save your progress and allow you to get to new locations. There are a couple bugs, but i see the team release a hotfix every single day meaning …

had weird desyncs few times but we were laughing the whole time so who cares. it's EA, it'll get patched (right?). hope so at least, cause we genuinely had some fun

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cannot recommend a game that looks more fun in a trailer, than it does in reality. Neither do I like the fact that it opens a google forms page on my browser the moment I close the game, that's forcing my hand to write any review. It cheaply imitates REPO, a lot of work probably went into this it just don't feel like it. I prefer Burglin Gnomes by a lot, that game is a lot of fun and you should buy that instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love pirates and I love REPO, so of course I got this day 1. And considering I'm the most unluckiest person in the world... yeah, the game is hella cheeks. My biggest issue; there's no wardrobe. How the heck do you include multiple cosmetics... but no way of choosing how your guy looks? By default, I just assumed there was a way to customize, since my primitive brain thought 'cosmetic = customization'... so I reached out on steam AND discord... finally they told me; you have to buy the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has potential, and I understand it's in early access, but after playing it for a while with friends in its current state, I couldn't recommend it. - First of all, according to their developer website they use generative AI on their games. You can check it out in the Retro Style Games website. But the steam page doesn't mention anything regarding AI. If they used AI, I request to please be transparent with consumers and disclose it, as a lot of people don't really want to support that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →loving the game so far. for sure better then most games like repo and all that got chased by a big pirate head then started dancing then it killed me solid 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →had weird desyncs few times but we were laughing the whole time so who cares. it's EA, it'll get patched (right?). hope so at least, cause we genuinely had some fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →REPO clone that is done worse and looks like crap. I was looking forward to playing this for 2 hours and refunding but honestly not even worth that it was so bad
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Ai in this game are really unenjoyable i find myself sitting in a corner while my teammate is dead waiting for the ai that keeps looping over and over again. Just Lazy, everything about this game pisses me off when I play. Go play Repo instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I rarely ever write reviews but this is a prime example of having too much Ai slop makes for a bad game. Literally feels like the devs just put " make a repo clone game but make it about pirates and butts" into claude and just rolled with it. And I usually love friend slop type of game like this but this game is in every way possible just a worst repo. Everything is just jank in a bad way and not a funny ha ha way. Boring enemies that most can just be avoided by standing on a table.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →repo ripoff, ugly characters, ugly and useless emotes, the mouth doesn't even move. ai enemies are dumb asf. boring, doesn't even have a lobby it spawns u in directly. card system is boring, the arm u have to grip on things is SO LONG and clips trough the floor. one u put the items in the boat it won't let u get more. i've never played a 6euros game so bad. there's so much better that costs less.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →games buggy asf and its a way worse version of repo in 1h of playtime there wasnt a single moment that was actually funny or made me giggle worst friendslop to come out this year for sure i recommend playing this for 1 hour maybe 1.5 and then refunding it. the only "funny" thing is that u can smack others butts
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would like to see the devs play this game for a few hours on stream as I highly doubt after more than 30 minutes that they would have any fun. The enemy mechanics and respawn time simply suck it's obnoxious just how many monsters they throw at you at once and even if you invest all your money in weapons it doesn't matter since the respawn time is instant for all mobs. Even without factoring those things in the game is riddled with all kinds of glitches from being one shot by shadow man and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Caramba! Grab your crew and let’s go hunting for trrreasures!!! New monsters are all unique, I actually like them better than old ones. Where are new weapons tho? Two pistols and two swords are clearly not enough, especially during later chapters. We were laughing out loud when a monster bit off one of our friends' butts, it looked so funny. And honestly, just bumping into each other while running away from traps was a blast. If you read the review and liked it, don't forget to give it a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It lacks some major progression arc, I feel that's the thing which would add at least few extra hours to my playtime. It just doesn't provide that feeling of getting better with each run, every chapter you start with nothing, over and over again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game forces you to use janky ass laggy/buggy physics for some core features. The kraken throwing your own bought items at you that laggily cycle back to the water and get thrown at you again is certainly a choice. Trying to unload your items from the cart to the cash out boat just makes them explode all over the place. Many interface choicesthat force you to deal with janky physics. Honestly can't recommend this experience.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The monkey keeps asking me for money like bro im broke too we're the same
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really? AI Steam Cards too?

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The devs use AI, that's a hard pass from me
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is so ass... literally, butts are everywhere. devs, make enemies drop their butts!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes the game is early access, BUT Its in a stage where even for it being a early access game it genuinely should of not been released yet. There's no ambiance, or any sound really, the Mic audio from other players is horrific, and the game just feels really unpolished and janky. It feels just super boring and I just can't recommend this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game to other people.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →REPO but Pirates, post round shop lets you buy cosmetics but you can't keep them. Some really good One Piece costume references, really enjoyable with friends. Mimics were a great add. Just let me keep the costumes I buy and I'd give it a solid 5/5. Otherwise its a 3.5 for now.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's buggy. It's also one of the funnest things I've played with my group in months. It's Early Access, that's the deal you're signing up for, I don't recall any EA launches without bugs
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought it expecting a mess and refund tbh, but got a genuinely fun mess. Let's see how devs take it further
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is unfortunately extremely buggy as of now, some of the problems we've seen was our wagon shaking like crazy on a bridge throwing all our loot everywhere, some enemies can attack you from other floors and for some reason my friend had high FPS instability which made his game lag to a degree where he couldn't do anything.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the demo to death with my group so I was already hyped for early access, and honestly it's delivering way more than I expected. We haven't even reached the new locations yet, we're grinding our way through to unlock them, but castle and pirate ship look sick in the trailer. Looks way better than the demo too, devs clearly listened to the feedback. Still janky in the fun way, still the best co-op game out there. THIS is what an EA launch is supposed to look like
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is what I call early access launch, the price, the ton of content is superb. Bought pack for my friends - loud and fun evenings guaranteed
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just boring slop
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is not worth getting. The game has a lot of lag or stutter feel to it even if you have over 200 fps. Weapons are good enough to kill maybe 2 enemies before they break. If that is not convincing enough for you, the game provides you with unlimited daggers when you ring the bell on the table at the starting area. Oh but those things are just the best. You hit an enemy with that 4 times, it breaks, and the enemy keeps coming after you. Running back to grab another one does nothing for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played game. Slapped ass. Flew on things I weren’t supposed to fly on. Slapped more ass. Got scared. Had fun. Game is alright. it’s early access and barely costs anything. People dropping negative reviews because of bugs on release day are insane. Fun for a few evenings with mates. Ludicrous, even, as one of my mates said
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →everyone calling this game repo probably still believes in console wars and compares Phasmophobia to Ghost Exile :) do you even know what a genre is? it's way more fun and honestly a bit harder and more interesting than the bots game, which I also love alot
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dis is SOOOOO MUCH BETTER THAT DEMO! Finally completely new locs to play on, game was missing that and not anymore +rec
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →are you looking for your next multiplayer quota game? you simply must check out Last Pirates: Die Together. watch the demo gameplay below - we sure did die together! [ #indiegame #steamnextfest ]
positive · AI labelView post →my fav streamer played it and that was one of those times I eventually wanted to try out the game myself. don't have many friends who like co-ops so ended up in a random lobby, that shi was hilarious
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels soulless. An imitation of better games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Be careful with cart cannon, it blew up ALL LOOT in it and almost start fire in my PC (monster survived)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had high hopes for this game. crazy bugs non of that patch notes are actually accurate per my personal experience. I'd gladly change this this review pending general quality of life enhancements and actual patch updates that appear functional. i can not recommend this game in its current state. it still needs tuning to give it the shine that it deserves.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It doesn't work at all. Lags which makes the game completely unplayable and broken VC even in the lobby.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is super fun to spend evenings in with a group of friends. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It runs all right - MOSTLY. got texture bugs, one time our session crashed but thank god we were able to reconnect. I get it's EA after all
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is very boring and the mic quality was horrid 0 ambiance sound i know its in early access but this is just bad
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This ♥♥♥♥ is R.E.P.O but pirates and twerking
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An amazing and hilarious game. Yes, of course, it has bugs – it's Early Access -,- But honestly, I don't know what it is – it's just even more fun if you play with the right people. My friends got stuck under the map or died in the cart, and yet they kept pushing it towards enemies, which was a lot of fun, the likes of which I haven't experienced in a long time. Honestly, I like the very creepy and dark atmosphere. The sound effects of knocking and screaming in the houses are quite cool and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I refunded two games in this genre this year. I'm keeping this one. I was burned out on "friends + monsters + loot" games. It felt like every month if not day there was a new one, and most of them were a weaker version of something I'd already played So I bought Last Pirates fully expecting to refund it within two hours That didn't happen. What got me was how much teamwork the game demands. In a lot of similar games, you can kind of do your own thing and meet up at the end. Here, if nobody's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →LOVE THIS GAME. First, I have to say as someone who loves games like REPO, Lethal Company, Grain Rot, Mimesis - this is a game that is easier in some aspects and more fun IMO.. I played with another player and we both had a lot of fun.. We have died a few times but overall the gameplay is worth the $5.08 (because we had Gamble with Friends so it was discounted). After you beat a level, you are looking at a table of cards which are upgrades for the next level and those are helpful. The lifespan…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I came for the chaos and stayed for the ass slapping, ridiculous revival system, amazing development team, and frankly excellent abundance of monkeys. I love monkeys. This game understands that. The character designs have so much personality, and there are little jokes and funny discoveries tucked throughout the game. Exploring and choosing levels through the chapter selection gives it its own feel, too. The revival system deserves special credit: it’s genuinely useful for keeping your crew in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i know it's early access, but this game is super buggy in its current state. its easy to glitch into objects and get stuck, and the mobs aggro you even when you hide like the tutorial tells you to. some mobs make it impossible to do anything. the last straw that made me uninstall and request a refund was a shark camping the elevator so we couldn't get up. not super fun, would recommend just playing repo (which this game is a direct knock off of, just in a different theme)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought the 4 pack for my friends
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun game, to play with a group, it could be better, and some bugs might be annoying but overall fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really good so far with some minor bugs but had fun. Takes some good elements from other repo styled games and combines them such as monsters that mimic players. Will definitely keep playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played it with my friends (yes, I have ones) and we had a lot of fun! It was a funny and addictive experience. We had a blast looking for a butt on the beach to resurrect a friend 😂 Also had fun pulling a friend out of the water where he got stuck, playing the piano, hiding under the bed, and running away from that creepy pirate. Overall, we had a lot of fun! Recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If the developers decided to make AI slop, then AI will write review too: Pure disappointment, not a game. Constant bugs, terrible optimization and controls that literally cramp your hands. The graphics look like a raw prototype from a decade ago, and the gameplay boils down to endless, boring grinding. Don't waste your time and money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wish maps were bigger and procedurally generated. Would add so much replay value. Like what happens when I finish all of the levels but want to play more? Replay same levels??
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GERMAN VERSION BELOW Last Pirates: Die Together makes a decent first impression and can definitely be fun with friends. However, several mechanics are still unclear or unnecessarily frustrating: 1. Weapons cannot be holstered, which feels unnecessarily restrictive. 2. The cards displayed on the shop table are poorly explained. It is often unclear what each card actually does. 3. When buying a card, the game does not clearly explain whether its effect applies only to the buyer or to the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If it was Last Pirates Die Together another mutual ran into that issue & ended up not realizing it until they saw all the GenAI in game.
neutral · AI labelView post →me and my friend played the demo alot and loved it so much i dont know whats changed but its givin us major motion sickness and we couldnt play as we both felt icky which im gutted about as we did really love the demo, please try and sort that out
