What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 240 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (1,320 of 1,509 positive).
Many reviewers note the game lacks online matchmaking and has issues with Remote Play, making it hard to play with friends online. [1][2][3] Some players wish for post-game bonus stars and more map variety to keep the excitement until the end. [4][5][6]

Do not purchase Lego Party if you have the intention of using the Steam Remote play feature.

better than marioparty. 40 dollars, optimized, 10gb and ZERO microtransactions in a genuinely really good game. happy i bought it fullprice to support this kind of work thats rare nowadays + this game is incredibally fun!

Mario Party killer. Feels like an actual game rather than just rolling dice and seeing what happens. Here's what makes it better: 1. No dice. Instead uses a number roller which is, at least, visually interesting and, at best, provides a tiny bit of control. 2. Success in minigames determine turn order. This alone is transformative. 3. Every 5-10 spaces (or 1-2 turns) there is a fork in the board and you actually …

Overall Opinion Worth it on sale ONLY IF you have friends to play with and they are either also willing to buy it, or remote play is an option. It does some things better than Mario Party, but other things worse. Cons (Let's get these out of the way first) No online matchmaking. Do not buy this game unless you have friends that are willing to play with you AND are also willing to buy the game. I saw some comments …

After all this years... We finally got a nice party game like Mario Party without stupid monetization that actually PLAYS & FEELS like our once beloved titles. If you miss Mario Party from the N64, Gamecube and the Wii, try this game. You won't be disappointed. Things I like: - cheap - runs on almost every system - well crafted with much love and passion - maps are gorgeous and they all have their own special …
Summarised from 34 of the 271 public posts collected about this game; every point cites the posts behind it ([n] opens the post) and the split is counted from the posts’ own ratings. Updated Oct 12, 2026. How summaries are made
88% of the 240 Steam reviewers we collected recommend LEGO® Party!. The complaint that keeps coming up: remote Play feature is broken and does not work. Deal-breaker or nitpick?
Critics, per Wikipedia
Early previews of Lego Party! were conducted at Summer Game Fest with 30-minute play sessions for journalists. Christopher Cruz of Rolling Stone included Lego Party on his list of best games at the event, calling it "ludicrously fun" and describing it as "potentially the best modern contender for the casual couch boardgame crown". Matt Kim of IGN pointed out the game's accessibility across platforms, concluding that if "the rest of the games are anywhere near as fun as the handful that [IGN] played, I can see Lego Party having the kind of addictive appeal Mario Party has had – which is especially good news for PlayStation and Xbox players that don't have access to Mario Party".

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would really like to enjoy this game but I have one major gripe. There is no matchmaking in this game, which I do not particularly have a problem with. Despite that, when a player disconnects in a lobby while playing with their friends, a CPU immediately takes over. This makes no sense in the context of a game played with friends. Instead, the game should pause and wait for the person to reconnect, and only then perhaps default to a CPU.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is great, me and my buddy played it couch party style and had a bunch of fun. However we tried to play this via Remote Play when we were all at home and it did not work at all. Does not seem to pick up the other players inputs. Hoping to see this fixed soon as its a game i could see us adding to our rotation. TL:DR; DON'T BUY YET IF YOU PLAN ON ONLY PLAYING REMOTE PLAY (NOT WORKING), IF YOU COUCH PARTY THEN I HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a great game. It's Mario Party on PC with some magic dust. A few downsides: Some of the minigames are huge misses (e.g. Arty Smarty which is just an art history quiz). Player 1 is at a disadvantage in many of the games, where each person takes a turn in sequence. Every other player can watch and learn from every run before them. They should really randomise the order, or force the leading player to go first. There are no post-game awards. An award ceremony seems pointless when everyone…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: You can Remote Play together with 3 other friends to have a 4 player lobby, with only 1 copy of the game. Its fun af, comparable to Mario party in terms of quality, unlike the cheap knock offs like "party panic" The price is really good for the quality you get here Cons: you dont get bonus bricks at the end so its easy to tell who will win once the game is close to ending I

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a huge fan of Mario Party. I bought this game even though I was skeptical. I am now a believer. This game is actually better than most Mario Party games.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An surprisingly amazing party game in the style of Mario Party. Compared to Mario Party (especially newer ones) they've taken a much more skill based approach, with most minigames rewarding good execution instead of dumb luck. The minigames also do a great job of variety; 60 minigames isn't as many as a lot of Mario Parties, but each one is genuinely unique, making it seem like there's more variety. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't end of game random rewards (such as for who moved the…

neutral · AI labelView post →Quite fun, but really needs a friend pass, considering the price. Only feasible way to play with friends without spending a kidney is split-screen
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The family prefers this to Mario Party which is the biggest endorsement I can give. The fact they keep patching it is already a huge plus compared to Mario Party.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so we just played all maps. we did around 50 of the 60 minigames. this is a very fun game. but be worn if you don't have friends. this game does not offer join a multiplayer game. wich i do not understand. this is a party game that is very fun but if you do not host or have local game, you cannot do anything else then play with cpu's..... we need a server list to join games ... devs please. Also it needs a edit game function. where you can get extra gold bricks at the end of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you play for long enough there is a voiceline where Ted Talker just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ yells in agony for no reason and it is maybe the funniest thing that has ever happened.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The inspiration from Mario Party is very clear but that is absolutely not a bad thing. The mini-games are the absolute highlight - much better than anything in the Mario Party series in my opinion. The "build-your-own" map elements is very Lego and adds a little replayability. I would like to see more unique elements in the maps for any future LEGO PARTY games. The announcers can be a little obnoxious but can be skipped or muted if you really dislike them. The main issue with this game is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can't get anything better than this for a friend's party or family! The most varied gameplay and intrigue remain until the last round.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before I wouldn't recommend this game because you had to form parties on discord. Now the game has public lobbies. I can finally bully people decades younger than me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an alright game, but I'll be honest, it could be a lot better. For starters, all heads, all hair, and the hair on hats, really need to be recolorable. All of them. There is no good reason for yellow exclusive faces, or all these green or whatever only hairs. Some of the best looking hairs and faces cannot be recolored, and that's a huge bummer. Even the hats need to be recolorable. The mountain climber helmet is red, but in customize it is green, and not recolorable, so that just suggests…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mean, what can I say? It's modern Mario party but better in many ways. Mario party has changed over the years and I don't dislike the latest version, but there are many QOL improvements in this game that make me want to play this far more than that. Pros: *The mini games are all very well crafted, they're engaging and you never feel like there is luck or chance screwing you over. *There is just enough "mess with your friends" abilities on the board without it being too disruptive.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome party game. They beat Mario at his own game. I just wish there was DLC for more boards.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did not enjoy this game because it is not what I expected. Many of the reviews compare this game to mario party, ( they are not wrong) but I find that rather misleading. The game is like a mario party blitz with the 'recommended' game lasting 6 turns (mario party being somewhere from 20-35), the board being relatively small, and the game handing out stars and coins like there is no tomorrow. I muted the announcers within 5 minutes, they become very annoying. The minigames were simple and fun…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lego Party is an absolute blast. Everything is top quality; gameplay, animations, music, graphics, voice work - you name it. Huge selection of playable minifigures (love how many Ninjago options there are) also tons of individual parts for building custom playable characters. Incredible boards that have great replay value (especially with the zones that have multiple options for what to build and change the board). The minigames are all a blast. Smooth online functionality. Devs are in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every mini game blows Mario Party out of the water. I do wish the maps had a little more variance on the final turn, because if someone has a commanding lead it deflates the excitement a little. overall, great to play with your friends, kids, and everyone else. 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm crazy surprised how underrated and unknown this game is. These guys need more advertising budget.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please add the option to change game settings, like how much a brick costs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly? This is on par with the best Mario Party game, if not BETTER. Highly customizable, allowing you to alter the gameboard in multiple ways per single playthrough, but also in how many turns your session lasts, and how many bonus "bricks" are awarded at the end of a game. This ♥♥♥♥ can swing harder than a bisexual, empty-nester couple, and it rules.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, Mario Party wishes it had this same energy and creativity these days. With how they chose to add the bonus bricks, I'm very excited to see what's coming up for this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best party game out there. Playing it will make you furious with Nintendo for how lazy they have been with their IP. The devs of this game have iterated on the format in pretty much every category. Some of the specifics I really like are: -The announcers are actually funny. Initially I thought they would be really annoying but every friend who has played the game with me has at least 1 genuine laugh at something one of them says -the minigame voting system -the minigame controls…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →And the #DICEAwards winner for Family Game of the Year goes to LEGO® Party! Congrats @smgstudio.bsky.social
neutral · AI labelView post →LEGO® Party! It's one of the best Super Mario Party clones for PC, with lots of varied mini-games and tons of humor for young and old. It's rated for ages 12 and up, but younger children can enjoy it too, at least in my experience. The game is really fun in co-op, but I've always played with friends. There are four difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Expert. Easy mode is perfect for kids, and the AI opponents mostly just fight amongst themselves. In Normal mode, they're already…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, it is better than Mario Party. My family thoroughly enjoys playing it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a Nintendo fan, I like this more than Mario Party (1, 2, Superstars, Jamboree). I do not say that lightly. This game is worth full price. It's seamless cross-platform, and doesn't nickel and dime you with microtransactions.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"LEGO® Party!" has the "Wii Party" vibes I have always loved as a kid. Same vibes and LEGO® together is just incredible. Though I prefer the story games, this is definitely one of the best LEGO® games I have played so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly the strongest contender for a PC/Crossplay Mario Party-esque! The minifig customization is insane and the games are unique in their own right (save for the art trivia one). I don't quite understand the situation the devs are currently in regarding updates since the last update was mostly community focused, adding a slider to turn down or completely mute the announcers, as well as moderate updates to the online experience. I'm genuinely looking forward to any and all additions to the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I LOVE THIS GAME!!! This game truly puts Mario party to shame with so much wonderful animations and amazing map design. I love how much stuff there is to collect throughout this game!!! All of the characters are very goofy and funny and there is a PLETHORA of characters to unlock for free. The commentators are also hilarious themselves and bring humor for any age range! Whether you’re playing challenge zone or mini game Rush, this game is so for everybody for all age ranges. I love playing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had to refund, was no Online Multiplayer Lobby. Also if you try to stream the game with Steamapp on your TV, this game glitches with no sound etc. Steamapp works great on android tvs with every game, but some how playing this in big picture mode with Steam App from your TV does not. So i just refund, gues ill wait until they add the Online Lobby. Great game but cant recommend if you want to remote play from TV or Online play. Local game it looks great tbh
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the best party games ive played in a long time only thing .... NEEEDS BIGGER LOBBIES PLEASE I HERE THERES A UPDATE COMING I HOPE WE SEE SOMETHING ABOUT BIGGER LOBBIESSSSS I HAVE MORE THAN 4 FRIENDS I PROMISE
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Almost all of the mini games are really fun and the announcers are hilarious. In several ways this game is an improvement over Mario Party.

neutral · AI labelView post →i wanted to play this game since it was a party game on pc, but nobody plays it even though it is random matchmaking :( i was excited to play with randoms, but after searching for 15-20 minutes, not even 1 lobby showed up. I didn't want to get this game to play with robots. i hope more people play this game, it has alot of potential if it went up in popularity. if you want to play with randoms, game sounds amazing though, or you have a group of friends to play with :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the best "mario" party like game. all the rest have been just awful, this one actually had competent devs. online with friends works like how youd hope

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is a major issue with this game, mainly the fact this game doesn't come with a friend pass as its expensive as it is.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m very impressed with how unique the minigames in this title are to other party games, with every new one I play I’m seriously impressed with how well the designers have adapted the LEGO system to said minigames, even minigames that you might have seen before in other titles will get a LEGO twist that makes them fit better thematically. The one thing I’d want to see for this game is just 1 more party board so that the game sits at 5, just for the extra replayabillity but otherwise I fully…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We love it. Perfect Family game. Perfect for evening games in family. Very very good game. Excelent game. Master piece. Recomending. Lot of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My wife, oldest daughter, and I play this game usually once to twice a week. We absolutely love it, and the fact that it has online lobbies make it great if an extra friend wants to join in. Cross platform family fun that has the LEGO charm from my childhood, mixed with commentary my wife finds hilarious, minigames I enjoy, and my daughter loves everything about the only game. I was going to give this game a 90/100 but its the only game nobody gets upset at when they lose. I give it a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i do enjoy this game a whole lot but i have to be honest, we keep on crashing at the most random times and it gets to a point because we can never finish a whole set unless we do 8 rounds which isn't ideal. i hope they fix this issue!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't think anyone knew this game existed. None of my friends had heard of it, and you can hardly find any lobbies or players. That's a real shame because the game is extremely good. It's a great Mario Party clone for computers. It's just like Mario Party or Pummel Party – only with Lego. But the game boards, events, and mini-games are really fun. I hope the game gets a lot more players in the future and hopefully there will be lots and lots of updates. Because 4 game boards is really not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonderful family game! The puzzles are varied and enjoyable for even younger kids, but the game keeps a decent balance so it stays fun. I'm really hoping we get some batman dlc.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun game! Easy to start up on the Steam Deck, and I love that there's unlockable content for the minifigures - really gives it a lot of replayability! Mario Party is fun, but as someone who doesn't have Nintendo money, this is even BETTER The boards are all fun with a lot of different ways to play, but I hope they release more boards in the future!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic party game to throw on my Steam Deck for friends or family to all enjoy in the living room, and am looking forward to trying out remote play with friends online. I love being able to customize your own minifigure with 300 in the game to unlock over time. No microtransactions for said unlocks is also huge these days. The minigames are also plentiful and very straightforward for those without too much game experience. Well worth the purchase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →steam play doesnt work :( im so sad i wanted to play with friends ;(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An excellent Mario Party clone with some unique mechanics that lean slightly more towards strategy vs Mario Party's rampant RNG. It's polished, well-optimized, and most importantly: fun! To highlight my optimization point, my steam deck ran it at 1080p on a TV with a mostly consistent 60fps! LEGO Party knows what makes the Mario Party games work, and adapts it with fresh ideas like character customization, mini-games at the start of rounds that then determine turn order, and stage elements…
