What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 176 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (2,089 of 2,264 positive).
Players praise the game as a charming, accessible roguelite with fluid combat and cute visuals. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note limited variety in enemies and repetitive dungeons after multiple runs. [4][5][6] The game is considered a great value, especially on sale, with a short but enjoyable experience. [2][7][8]

An okay-ish short game. Rogue-like element is lacking (map and enemy encounter are more or less the same, limited build variety, boring permanent upgrade), combat system is shallow, difficulty is only added by multiplying mobs hp and attack power... If you have played the original Little Noah mobile game, it could be a 6/10 for nostalgia bonus point, otherwise it's just 4/10.

A very cute, short and sweet action roguelite! I completed it on Hard in about 7-8 hours, and I enjoyed my time with it very much, being an absolute steal on sale for around $5! This game is a hidden gem. Fun, cute, polished. Great art style. Good combat with a simple twist. Really fun little rng game. And for the price on sale it's 110% worth it. Great on steamdeck too.

This feels like a Nintendo WIi game in all the best ways possible. A fun short roguelike if you're looking for something quirky.

The game has a cute, playful charm where the colour palette, character design and overall vibe made it easy to jump in without expecting anything. It feels like a roguelite made for fun, experimentation, and some light challenge. Unfortunately, its not perfect. As I kept playing, I noticed that the variety among Lilliputs felt limited where many behave similarly and once you find the 'good' ones, there isn’t a …

Critics, per Wikipedia
Little Noah: Scion of Paradise for Nintendo Switch received "generally favorable" reviews and a score of 87/100, according to review aggregator Metacritic. The simple game loop was considered of the game's strongest points. Touch Arcade found the game to be more approachable than many of its roguelike peers, and praised its "charming character designs and solid gameplay mechanics". Siliconera liked how clear the game conveys information to the player, and how its random elements keep the gameplay fresh. Nintendo World Report appreciated that Little Noah can be finished in around 10 hours without overstaying its welcome or overwhelming the player with different currencies, but wished for a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is like if you threw Smash Bros Subspace Emissary, Dead Cells, Little Witch Nobeta, and a hint of Granblue Fantasy into a blender and it resulted in both a cute and fun (no joke intended) rougelike. Setting aside the PC version being mediocre (the game lacked keyboard controls during launch, and doesn’t have mouse/touch-screen navigation, but the former at least got patched, albiet with no in-game way of adjusting the controls and in an action based manner), only having a 720p/1080p…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No contact damage Rebindable controls Functional pause button Immediate access to fast travel Fast travel which is extremely fast and comprehensive Good performance and optimization Even if the game sucked, I'd give props for excellent QoL mechanics like this. Luckily, the game doesn't suck! The movement is fast and responsive, and the combat feels good. Definite recommend on this

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, I would recommend this. Get the DLC too while you're at it. The price is really good for what it is. You buy it for the game play but everything else is good, I can't really think of anything bad to say about it. I played it on hard mode. It's a roguelite, game is randomized so everytime you play it's different. Instead of leveling up, you unlock stuff that makes you stronger or help you out for you next game. Even when you complete the main story, there's still a lot to do, it's…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game to kill time. Cute design. Simple fighting mechanics. You can play with keyboard too. There is an option to edit your keyboard mapping through Controller Layout Tool. Before you click that GREEN PLAY button, go to setting first & click 'properties..' Then go to 'General' - Launch Option - select Launch Controller Layout Tool There you can edit your keyboard control :) Put your desired setting and enjoy the game :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game ended up being a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Apparently it's a spinoff side story of one of Cygames' gacha games. The game's gameplay loop is similar to other rogue-lites. You find critters called Liliputs in the dungeon which you can slot into your attack string similar to God Hand's create a combo. They have different elements and properties such as pulling enemies towards you or knocking them away or launching them. It allows a lot of flexibility in how you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Little Noah: Scion of Paradise is a compact action roguelite with a colorful fantasy presentation. Players control Noah as she explores randomly generated ruins, defeating enemies to recover resources and unlock permanent upgrades. The tone is light and adventurous, with a focus on quick repeat runs rather than heavy narrative depth. Combat is real-time and emphasizes chaining attacks through “Lilliput” companions. Each companion has a unique attack that becomes part of a customizable combo…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little roguelike from Cygames, a company I'm unfortunately way too into because of Granblue Fantasy. Not the same team. Apparently used to be a mobile game and this is the updated version? For $15 get pretty solid combat and a cute story. It's no Dead Cells, but nothing is, honestly. If you like roguelikes it's worth a shot for sure to support the team.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If Bravely Default was an action RPG this is it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun rogue-like platformer with a lot of variety. The player character costumes determine her bonus, while her moveset is determine on what monster she have in her command. There's a variety of combos and build that can be built up naturally through this system. The story is average. The characters interactions are limited. But the gameplay is fun enough to overcome those flaws.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know why people complain this game being too easy if they didn't try the Very hard/Very Hard+/and the other end game content. The normal mode is really easy and I agree with that because the enemies get stun locked with easy and have low hp, so yes you can finish this mode with only spamming attacks. I recommend start playing on hard because it feels more like "normal" mode from other games I'm used to. The DLC are OP so avoid using it if you want some challenge from start until…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →100% Worth the Price, especially on sale I like the design and the color composition Its a roguelike so you lose almost everything upon death but you can adjust the difficulty and the game itself isnt that hard on normal I dont wanna spoiler you with its features but id recommend jumping into it without knowing anything about this game since this is the best approach these days to find good and enjoyable games imo Theres also a custom resolution fix found in the communityhub that lets you play…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Little Noah is an absolutely charming and accessible rogue-lite that pretty much anyone interested in the genre can pick up and try. Noah is adorable, and her cat friend Zipper's sarcastic humor helps their dynamic feel balanced. The main villain is a bit generic, but he gets the job done. The combat and gameplay are where the game really shines, mixing random elements with permanent progression. I went into this game expecting a fun time, and by the time the credits rolled I realized that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →thinking about how Little Noah was basically an entire asset repurposing of a dead cygames gacha about 3 years later from when it shut down into like an actual good game and im just here like...... its been around 2-ish years too huh...... surely..... they could....... you know...... perhaps.....
positive · AI labelView post →Super cute and fun. Unfortunately the story is very short. I hope to see a sequel someday
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2D platformer action with some roguelike elements. not to mention cute characters. my daughter and i both like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very charming and casual rogue-like. Really reminds me of a Nintendo 3DS game. Very cute and nostalgic. Also there's a Uma Musume skin <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a essentially a mobile game for PC. It's not worth $14.99 and there isn't much depth. There are better things to spend your money on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: A roguelike that lacks replayability It's a pretty mid roguelike that doesn't feel like a roguelike. Check it out if it is dirt cheap since it isn't a bad game, but it lacks replayability and runs felt almost identical which is a pretty big deal for these games. The moment I beat the final boss I lost any motivation to do another run. Why? Besides the lack of replayability and samey feeling of runs, my other biggest gripe is how the player, enemies, and their attacks often blend in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seconded.. I take roguelite breaks after every other game I play.. Hades, Slay the Spire, Monster Train, Griftlands, and Little Noah have been sort of relaxing to me.
positive · AI labelView post →Beneath the veneer of this cutesy title, is an incredibly addicting gameplay loop. You may recognize this loop, as Little Noah borrowed heavily from Dead Cells, and Valkyrie Profile. This is in no way a black mark against the developers; they've meshed some of the greatest aspects of both ideas. As a platformer, it's very solid. Level presentation is clean, and it's always clear where the ground is. The built-in double jump and air dash are both appreciated, and every dungeon room is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad PC port, fps pacing issues + controls, fixes can\can't help, encountered two crashes. Game looks cheap and repetative after a hour, bosses are unfun and straightforward damage sponges. Be carefull when buying, framerate is flimsy even with forced hardware vsync. Noah is cute tho.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is surprisingly fun. Don't let the adorable aesthetic of the game deceive you, the game-play is deep and fun especially later on. My only issue is lack of companions, I wish there was a way to upgrade lower grade companion to better ones later on.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Little Noah: Scion of Paradise is a charming and highly approachable action-roguelite from Cygames and Grounding Inc., one that blends brisk combat, streamlined progression, and an inviting aesthetic into an experience that feels both beginner-friendly and genuinely satisfying. Rather than overwhelming players with complicated systems or punishing difficulty spikes, it embraces a gentler, more playful structure. You guide Noah, a prodigious young alchemist, whose airship crash-lands near a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game 21/? of 2025 Finished Little Noah: Scion of Paradise. Yes I am a sucker for roguelikes & a chibi artstyle but I swear it’s fun! Understanding the upgrades and the order of your lilliputs to create powerful combos is rewarding. 30-60 min runs create that "just 1 more!" itch. For 5$ it’s a 8/10 🌟
positive · AI labelView post →I wish steam had a mixed rating. Worth 10€ (with the DLC) on a sale. Cute little action roguelite where you collect different attacks in for of your companions with which you can switch up your combo chain and skills. Sadly, the game is pretty light on content and the combo system is pretty shallow leading to the gameplay being pretty button mashy and "builds" not really being a thing. The story is also really nothing to write home about, it's incredibly generic to the point that I started…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's Dead Cells, but you're a phantom summoner, and it's much easier / more approachable for people who have less time or good reflexes. Pros: +It's very easy to pick up and play. Controls feel responsive and I enjoy the summons altering your movement. +Cute art style, if you like Square Enix or chibi anime, this is for you. +You can beat it in a very reasonable amount of time. The runs themselves may feel kind of long, but beating the game is simple. +The sheer amount of summons you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat Little Noah: Scion of Paradise tonight, and it's a fun game with quite a bit of replayability. Definitely recommend giving it a shot if you can!
positive · AI labelView post →This game felt like a simple and easy roguelite platformer to me. So if you want to try a game like that, he you go. I died a few times, or got really close, and I felt like a dumba** or I got to cocky. The run upgrades are pretty powerful, so if you have trouble, you will 100% win eventually.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun run-based metrioidvania with some of the creative minds behind FFXII. Sakamoto's trademark flute forms the backbone of most of the compositions, while Akihiko Yoshida's trademark noseless Bravely character designs are front and center. Played this to completion on the Switch, on which the 30fps cap forces a much more different playstyle than in full 60. Fun roguelike design with powerful meta-progression.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Attractive female characters, beautiful art. I don't normally like 2.5D games, but this one is good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun charming little game. Easy to pick up and play. Good gameplay variety with a unique central mechanic.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →sometimes I think how Little Noah: Scion of Paradise (cute little action roguelike of Cygames IP) and Machi Koro (that one easygoing board game you can pull out for your Catan friends) are by the same company
neutral · AI labelView post →I like it, its super cute and the game mechanics is unique for once. Thou I would loved it more if keyboard controls is also available
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute and funny main character was absolutely the reason to get this game (Make sure there's a sale) Decent bossfights and combat combo builds. Meta progression isn't s*** so that helps.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Piggybacking off a recent post of @jawmuncher.bsky.social. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a bit of a short game, but I feel like that sort of comes with the territory of roguelites. After playing for 6.9 hours I beat the final boss on normal difficulty. At this point I've repaired the airship to about 60%. After beating the game you unlock some more endgame stuff (more difficulties and some trial game mode). I'll be continuing to play the game for a bit after beating it, but on higher difficulties. Good game over all. Bit messy in terms of visuals and keeping track of my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Far from mindblowing, but also far from bad. The good: - Weapon system is the main innovation. You basically equip 7 total weapons in your preferred order of attacks for combos and synergies. It's fun for a while but could use more depth. - Wholesome hand-drawn art - for cutscenes anyway. The gameplay is actually 3d which I don't think fit too well. - Quality music (though there aren't enough songs) - Reasonably satisfying combat. - While there aren't many bosses, there is some variation via…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's nothing outright offensive about this game, but it's just massively mediocre when stacked against any other popular or solid roguelike. Worth only when heavily discounted.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really nice game, new concept as well :D the combat feels really nice, and the concept of alchemist is always something refreshing than the traditional fantasy classes (warrior, mage, archer etc)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10, 100% is annoying
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Little Noah is a nice short game, well unless you're doing all the achievements but that is for later on. First of all the game itself is cute, with a traditional roguelike progression with you buying upgrades, aka repairing the airship. The bosses themselves were enjoyable to fight, though I will say ice is just overpowered and fire felt underwhelming in comparison. Now for the achievements, I will say I avoided the real unreasonable grind due to some kind people sharing their save files just…

Also, I edited the fic chapter that made the main character cry, so the next bit can be fun again. And I bought a new game because of course I did. neutral · AI labelView post →If Akihiko Yoshida lends his talent for a videogame I purchase it. That being said this is a grindy fast paced game, it's perfect to spend 1 or 2 hours playing. The game demands a clean run from start to finish if you wanna see the ending, the challenge it's there. cost me 5 bucks, it was fun and charming.
