What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 183 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (365 of 385 positive).
Many reviewers note the puzzles range from easy to extremely challenging, with some taking hours. [1][2][3]

The best Picross game available on Steam if you judge solely by the puzzles, a definite must-play for fans. Some of the later puzzles are genuinely very challenging even for experienced players and require multiple steps of logical thinking, not just the basic 'overlap' techniques. Many of the larger puzzles took me about an hour to solve (not counting the times when I messed up too much and had to start over) and …

This is hands-down the best picross/nonogram game I've played, not just here on Steam, but overall. The quality shines through in every aspect, from the graphics and UI, to quality of life features and, most importantly, puzzle design. The puzzles range from 5x5 which you can solve in 15 seconds (just a few of those), to 40x30 which can take 2 hours or longer and feel even more rewarding than beating a tough Dark …

Another banger Picross game from Jupiter, if you've played a Picross game on a Nintendo system, they probably made it. The fusion system doesn't really add any fun into the game, just makes you click on pictures based on what the blue text says. It's a very minor critique that doesn't really take away from the fun of the game, just slows it down.

This is not only a fantastic Picross game, but the best on Steam by a huge margin. The developer, Jupiter, is the same developer that has made nearly every Nintendo-published Picross game since 1995 (many of which have never been released outside of Japan). They are, without a doubt, the foremost experts in Picross, and it absolutely shows in Logiart Grimoire. What sets Logiart Grimoire apart from every other …

Jupiter is perhaps the most experienced developer in the industry when it comes to Picross/Nonograms style video games. Logiart Grimoire continues this legacy in fine style. I was always left a bit unsatisfied by Jupiter's Picross e and S series on the 3DS and Switch, because the bite-size releases kept the puzzle sizes so small that they felt mostly trivial to solve. With puzzles extending to 40x30, which will each …

96% of the 183 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Logiart Grimoire. The complaint that keeps coming up: fusion mechanic feels tedious and slows down gameplay. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

Check out Logiart Grimoire by them store.steampowered.com/app/2492390/...

Logiart Grimoire > “Logiart Grimoire is a puzzle game that combines ‘word puzzles’ and ‘number puzzles’ creating a different kind of puzzle game from what you’re used to,” according to Jupiter, which is best known for developing the long-running Picross series for Nintendo. > >“For Jupiter, early access on Steam is a new endeavor. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Logiart Grimoire is the next game in Jupiter's catalog of Picross games, following along with the game series from the 3DS and Switch shops and their popular S-series and Picross games. I consider all of their games to be masterpieces and this one is no exception! The main story of this game follows Emil trying to fill back in all of the missing Logiart images into the Logiart Grimoire after something happens to it that causes it to be blanked. You do this by solving Picross puzzles and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the look and feel of the game, and the fusion/word puzzle aspect is a fun twist, even though there's not much substance to it. But playing this after 100%ing the Mario Picross games for Gameboy and Super Famicom, I'm finding it to be pretty tedious and comes off as being overly difficult for difficulty's sake. Too many boards are plagued with needle in a haystack situations where there's only one block you can safely pick at a time, which requires the repeated obsessive counting of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the combination of alchemy and nonogram/picross. Some of the larger puzzles are insanely hard. It's been a long time since I've been challenged in a picross game. Highly recommended for beginners and pros alike!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is just a Picross game with some extra bells and whistles, but I mean that in the best possible way. If you want a Picross game on Steam then there's no better place to start than here, especially since this is made by the same studio that made the official Nintendo ones. If you've never played a Picross game then all you need to know is that this is one of the best puzzle games on Steam, and also works well on Deck.

neutral · AI labelView post →I bloody love picross and Jupiter are the masters of it. Responsible for an almost countless number of picross games, there are few developers who can be so closely linked to the development and success of an entire genre as Jupiter can to the humble nonogram. It's a great relief to see them return to a niche they have so thoroughly developed over the past 30 years and, better yet, attempt to evolve it. The attempt is greatly appreciated, but it isn't entirely successful. Logiart Grimoire is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the harder nonogram puzzle games. The presentation is very nice. The nonogram puzzles have a quality feel to them. Since it's a puzzle game, you also need to solve various riddles to unlock more nonograms. I completed my first 20 x 15. I recommend playing in a small window, because as more people say, you are more likely to lose track of the positions, which, depending on your focus, can mess you up everytime. You might start to struggle on 15 x 15 if you're playing on fullscreen. I get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Logiart Grimoire Completed Mar. 29th Picross! Another off-stream game, I really like these puzzles. I played the PC version - apparently the Switch version actually uses the Picross IP cuz Nintendo's a cunt. It was cute, loved the Doodle God elements. Hated the mascot, though. Good Picross game!
neutral · AI labelView post →the official picross devs honestly give off such great vibes and i love that they made a game on pc still for anyone who doesn't have a nintendo platform (LogiArt Grimoire!) you and them both deserve official support

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We’ve been gnawing away at a Picross game during our downtime (LogiArt Grimoire), and the small talk our little wizard friend makes in between puzzles gets utterly baffling at times
neutral · AI labelView post →Jupiter is the king of developing good nonogram puzzle video games and, unsurprisingly, Logiart Grimoire is another good nonogram puzzle video game even if it's got a bit too much fluff in it for my liking. There's a story, for one. Or I think so anyway; every time Emil spoke, I zoned out. Something about filling in a book. I don't know. Who cares? Do you like nonogram puzzle video games? Guess what: Logiart Grimoire is cool. Edit (6/7/25): They keep adding stuff to this game! So far we've had…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an excellent implementation of Picross (Nonogram) made by Jupiter, the company that pioneered the format for Nintendo. If you've never played Picross, it is a constrained number logic game analogous to Sudoku. The puzzles in Logiart Grimoire vary from easy to quite hard -- the hardest puzzles here are significantly harder than those in other popular Picross games. There are 280 main game puzzles plus several hundred between extra modes and DLC. The one restriction is that every puzzle…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually added Logiart Grimoire and a bunch of other picross games to my Switch wishlist because I am having so much fun with Squeakross. I feel like your game is opening the genre up for more people. And that is a huge feat.
neutral · AI labelView post →Great picross game, Jupiter has been doing this for a long time. I wish there was a tad more variety on the art and music, I had to put this game on mute almost immediately.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Same! Just started Judgement on the Deck. Continuing Persona 3 Re and Logiart Grimoire. Also got back into Diablo 4, but enjoy that on big PC more (neither sharp 40fps nor fsr blurry 60fps quite hit the spot on Deck)

neutral · AI labelView post →I finally completed it. It's a very sweet Picross game, not much more to say about it, but it really does not need to be anything else. Most puzzles are between 2 and 15 minutes, some are 30 minutes, and then the few bigger ones took me 1 or 2 hours to complete each. For the base game, there are 280 puzzles on the main mode. Most of them you unlock using other puzzles you solved, so you'll probably do a lot of 5x5s and 10x10s at the beginning and unlock harder ones with those. There's a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Also I played like 5 hours of Logiart Grimoire. Hadn't even heard of before today but it's absolutely my jam. A nonogram game by Jupiter (the developers of the Nintendo Picross games) with a sort of tech tree/fusion system to unlock puzzles. It's neat! store.steampowered.com/app/2492390/...
positive · AI labelView post →It's made by Jupiter so the quality is definitely guaranteed. Nice vibes and nice designs. One of the best nonogram games on PC port.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →excellent nonogram / picross puzzles from the people who make all the well known nintendo versions
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →25. Logiart Grimoire 100% completed it. Not too sure I love the fusing vs just giving me the puzzles straight, but it's a Picross game. There's not much to say. It's fun and I put like 130 hours into it, which is way more than I have in all of the Picross S games. 30x40 puzzles are terrifying.
neutral · AI labelView post →picross by the people who know how to make picross. can't go wrong
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unethical amount of puzzles, destroyed a month's worth of my productivity
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Isles of Sea and Sky, Logiart Grimoire and Persona 3 Reload. All feel like they've been made for deck. Great games, too.
neutral · AI labelView post →Do you like Picross? Congratulations, this is Funner Picross. The fusion mechanic is a fun gimmick that still has a cute reward (Emil's puzzles) when you fail to select the right "object on head" item for the fifth time in a row because you've never seen a snowman with a BUCKET on its head in your life. Just be prepared to see squares in your sleep.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I'm not a huge fan of the small puzzles for unlocking the actual puzzles and sometimes it felt I had to guess more than I would like too... but it's still picross and thus I love it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favourite casual games to just sit with while i listen to Yt/Twitch/Spotity. Very fun and engaging to get good at, and I love the addition of the fusing to begin with. A huge amount of puzzles to complete and a cute UI and character story happening meanwhile. Very fun to 100% also. Wish there was even more ;-;
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For people who don't know, Jupiter is the studio behind most of the Picross games on Nintendo console in recent years. This exact game is also titled part of the Picross series in the Nintendo Switch eShop but I guess only games on Nintendo are allowed to use the Picross Trademark. This is a fun twist on the classic Picross genre with some fusing elements to unlock new puzzles and a short storyline. Difficulty wise it's doable but ramps up quicker than typical nonogram type games here on Steam
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A little late today because what a busy day! It's my March Gaming Wrap Up! Was kind of all over the place until Logiart Grimoire entered my life. I at least finished a game!
neutral · AI labelView post →Logiart Grimoire, the Jupiter-developed Picross game for Steam (and soon Switch) just came out of Early Access last night. Among the new additions in this update is a batch of new puzzles, including this one:
neutral · AI labelView post →FYI we haven't worked with jupiter at all! The closest thing we have is a bundle on steam with their latest game Logiart Grimoire!
neutral · AI labelView post →Fine picross game with too much junk layered on the top, in the form of needless animations and a an extra language-based puzzle that is too poorly translated to actually play in English. For example, one prompt was "It's a *creature* that likes to *climb trees*" - and the solution is a heart and a tree. That may be a one off translation issue, but it was enough to stop me in my tracks. The word puzzle overlay is already an uninteresting addition to a just fine picross game, and if it's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Jupiter usually makes decent Picross games, but I found Logiart Grimoire to be rather tedious and it took me like 8 months to finish. In the end, it's just a huge assortment of Picross puzzles, with no real overarching theme aside from having to restore a mysterious grimoire with different pages sorted by categories such as Tools or City. I usually love Picross puzzles, but I think my biggest problem with this one is that there's no real difficulty curve. As you fuse more puzzles by combining…

neutral · AI labelView post →There is one game made by Jupiter that isn't on Nintendo, Logiart Grimoire! Nintendo has the rights to the Picross name I think. Jupiter did make Picross X: Picbits vs Uzboross which finally did some innovative things with it besides just the standard puzzle solving. Also Picross 3D 1&2 are neat.
neutral · AI labelView post →A pretty solid picross game. I'm impressed by its harder puzzles involving more challenging logic than you tend to get from picross games, but that unfortunately comes alongside achievements for completing puzzles without any assistance -- and when you're getting to the maximum grid size, that can lead to very long stretches of time without any forward progress. It's still very fun, and easily one of the best in the genre (especially if you just write off trying for 100% achievements)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game! Wasn't surprised about how perfect it is, seeing it's coming from the masters of nonogram games!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →jupiter is king of nonograms/picross, and it's so refreshing to see such an interesting & clever take on the general gameplay loop of doing picross puzzles. emil is adorable & I love the sounds & music in the game. it's fun to smack the puzzles together to see what else can come out, and the hints are helpful but don't always give too much away, either. also, it's SUPER cool that they put in so many extra puzzles from their kickstarters - SUCH a cool idea & I can't wait to dig into those when…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, Nintendo actually owns the “Picross” name it seems, notably Logiart Grimoire actually had the Picross subtitle on Switch but not on the Steam version So maybe one day… they just, realized they could make a game on another platform if they just dropped the name

positive · AI labelView post →Logiart Grimoire!! This is my favorite picross game. I enjoyed the fusion gimmick a lot and emil is my favorite lil guy and I will probably rebuy this on switch eventually just to go through it again
positive · AI labelView post →If I may add to that: Two non-Jupiter Picross games I really enjoy are Murder by Numbers (a murder mystery VN that somehow effectively integrates Picross puzzles into its gameplay) & Hatsune Miku Logic Puzzle S. Both are available on Steam. One Jupiter Picross game is also on Steam: Logiart Grimoire
