I've had my eyes on this game for a time and it's turned out to be worth the wait. It's trippy and weird and really neat. I haven't quite finished it yet but from what I've seen it's definitely worth picking up if you like puzzle games that like to change what kind of puzzle game it's aiming to be. If you like games like Antichamber or Blue Prince, to a degree, it's definitely worth checking out.

Some of the smoothest flow in any puzzle game I've played. Looking for Fael makes it crystal clear what you can interact with and when, leading to me happily puzzling with very little downtime. And what a joy the puzzles in this game are. Constantly bringing new ideas, and upping the difficulty exactly when it should. I very strongly recommend it.

I hope you like TI-83 games, because you're going to be spending a lot of time with them here for some reason... I very much enjoyed all of the time I spent in this game not playing the above minigames (which are frequent, particularly if you're planning on unlocking the secret ending). In fact, were it not for the minigames, I'd likely have given this a perfect score. The puzzles throughout were well designed and I …

Really great puzzle-games make me take notes in a second app on a second screen, because it's comfortable. I take screenshots, make various pages, ssometimes tables. Looking for Fel doesn't. Looking for Fael makes me scribble on a physical notebook like a madman, screeming "I got it!", because Looking For Fael is the kind of puzzle-game that comes once every couple of years to make them lovable for everyone. It …

Great game, the puzzle are interesting and varied. The art style is cute and i'm looking forward for more!

neutral · AI labelView post →It's an excellent game with a lot of different, creative and cryptic puzzles. All is really well put together with the art, the sound and the narration, to give a nice and relaxing mood. Some puzzles could look a bit hard, so it's nice to be able to switch from one to another. Also it's one of those game where maybe you'll need a break from time to time to take a step back if you are locked. It has happen multiple times that I went to sleep and kept thinking about the game, and when I got up, I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nintendo Switch Video: Looking for Fael - While perhaps in the spirit of a game like Blue Prince, this is a bit more obtuse with some puzzles and the controls aren't always intuitive #IndieGames youtu.be/zpYwm1eLwtQ
neutral · AI labelView post →Really lovely & relaxing, the general vibe is very compelling and the puzzles are smart and satisfying
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looking for Fael is a game for people who enjoy Myst. I loved the concept, and the little Game Leaf device was super cool, but unfortunately I couldn't finish the demo due to motion sickness. @randotwino.bsky.social and team have worked hard so please check it out!
neutral · AI labelView post →For anyone that caught my stream yesterday, I went back to clean up my notes for the game and realized it might not be the best game to stream, since it's a lot of note taking. But if you like string board level puzzle games I highly recommend #LookingforFael store.steampowered.com/app/2521170/...
positive · AI labelView post →Pretty good Myst-like adventure about exploring different realities of the same appartment. The puzzles are generally of good quality and understanding the rules of this world will feel quite satisfying. Note that progression also requires you to solve some little abstract tetris kind of puzzles which were fine for me but could feel a bit tedious if it's not your cup of tea. Overall, nothing revolutionnary but I do recommend if you like adventure puzzle games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally finished Looking for Fael, congrats to the team for an excellent game! ✨ If you're looking for a great puzzle game that is just hard enough, set in a mind-bending space that'll surprise you from beginning to end, give it a try!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its fine. The puzzles are challenging and make you think, but the story is a little hard to follow. But if you like puzzles (and tetris), you will enjoy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, a cut above most of the standard escape room fare. Some excellent puzzles that tie all of the concepts of the world together. I will say that I wish some of the final endgame puzzles had better sign posting as the patterns you are taught to expect throughout the game fail to hold in one case. Regardless, great game, also recommend checking out another game from this developer from ages ago, Tetrobot and Co. Played it 13 years ago!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm only 2 hours in at the time of writing this review and so far the game is amazing. Love the atmosphere, the artistic direction, the puzzles aren't too complicated, the VF is great, really nothing bad to say about it. I randomly saw it pass through my IG feed and the comments saying it looked like "The Witness with a plot" might not be 100% a good comparaison but it's a great story puzzle game on it's own!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still working on 'Looking for Fael', a cryptic puzzle adventure game in which your roommate has disappeared in a maze of apartments. store.steampowered.com/app/2521170/...

neutral · AI labelView post →Great puzzle game, doesn't hold your hand too much, leaving to figure some things out yourself.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far Looking for Fael is very good, but I kinda hope it does not go as deep as Blue Prince. I need games I can finish rn, not layered mysteries that still wake me up in the middle of the night years later, with new ideas to try and a collection of notes the size of a pocket book. 🙏 #gaming #BluePrince #LookingForFael
positive · AI labelView post →Great game with really nice pacing with the difficulty of the puzzles.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My nephew celebrated a birthday recently and discovered a love for escape room games. "Looking for Fael"'s description was intriguing: perhaps he would be interested in an escape room-described video game? I noticed that it was bundled with a game I already completed, so I am gifting them to him!
neutral · AI labelView post →please give a try to the video game Looking for Fael! really cool people (including a friend) worked on it
positive · AI labelView post →Excellent puzzle game. Reminds me of Blue Prince, but its not as difficult (or random). You will still need to keep a notebook or have a screenshot program handy because there are a lot of clues and hints. The puzzles are mostly intuitive, but a few took a little work before the mechanics became clear. Very enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game makes me feel smart ! (and sometime a bit dumb, but then I feel even smarter once I find the solution :D) The setting is amazing and there is something comforting yes scary to move between the different versions of the apartments. I feels good to learn it but then the game surprises you with a variation. The art and audio are super cute and nice. Can't recommend enough.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like it! (putting aside me taking 40min just for the first puzzle because I'm dumb asf XD) They said blue prince, but it remind me of the flash puzzle game "Submachine" for the one that know it, which is a game serie of my childhood! I really like the visual, the puzzle and the ambiance. The lore is still "strange". I really like that I have to take notes of codes, or other stuff. I had so much hard time to 100% the game! We need to find some codes at some point (optionnal) and it took…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the demo, couldn't pass it up !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fantastic first person puzzler. JUST enough cluing to keep me always moving forward without getting too mired down in complexity. Def a game to play with a notebook nearby. Really scratched the itch I've developed in the void of other giants of this genre like Blue Prince and The Witness. A much more compact adventure than those, but equally satisfying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looking For Fael is a good game. if you like escape rooms it's a whole escape apartment and then there's more apartment store.steampowered.com/app/2521170/...

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Where do I start? For the ~12hrs to 100% this game and about ~8hrs to "finish" the game, it was a joy ride in confusion, feeling dumb, noticing something, feeling like the smartest person in the world (and repeat). The game does not handhold anything, basic mechanics that you master at the end of the game will not be shown to you but is up to you to intuit from subtle clues in the environment. The vibe feels very much like Blue Prince where it shows rather than tells you what to do, but the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very very good puzzle game, its a shame there's not that many reviews as it deserves way more compared to other popular titles I have played. i'm 99% sure there is more content and I will be going back to do so as I have beaten the game as of now, but the flow and difficulty/cleverness of the puzzles were top notch, sure it only took me 5 and a half hours but it was extremely condensed and very high quality
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very clever puzzles, an escape room within one apartment. There is no in game tracking for puzzles so it is highly HIGHLY encouraged you take your own notes outside of the game. That alone should tell you whether you'd be interested in this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good puzzle game - do not recommend playing on mac until the developer patches.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just finished Looking for Fael, it was such a good game. Struggled a bit but nothing like Blue Prince nightmares lol 😭 I spend the whole day playing and the story was beautiful but not too deep. Everything is well executed, and I can recommend the game easily to anyone. (Not like Blue Prince)
positive · AI labelView post →A fun puzzle game where you try to find your roommate in your apartment. The gameplay is like if you took the meta aspects of animal well or blue prince, but made them actually achievable on a blind playthough. You will need to write some stuff down to keep track of the various notes/clues, especially for the developer room puzzle. My only minor gripe is that movement and animations are extremely slow so especially near the end of the game you will have quite a bit of wasted time walking and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A neat concept, and the puzzle difficulty feels really well balanced. I had a great time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good experience overall
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the puzzles and the atmosphere of this game so far! The little leaf bugs are cute too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finished Looking for Fael (once, and redid the end to get to the Secret Place), this was a very sweet puzzle game, not too hard (the kids enjoyed some parts of the playthrough with me) and just the right length for someone with not enough free time. I give it 7/7 stars !
positive · AI labelView post →This is a great game for anyone looking for a cool story inside an even better puzzle game. The problems are very varied and you will explore naturally the environnement in search of clues that are all over the place. It really rewards observation and piecing things together like the best of the genre. If you liked games like Blue Prince, Outer Wilds or even the classic Myst, it is a game for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looking For Fael is an excellent first person Myst-like puzzle game. There are a lot of creative puzzle ideas, especially once multiple mechanics start getting layered on at the same time. I liked how each dimension feels unique in multiple ways. Each one has its own visuals, gimmicks, and mood despite being the same apartment. Overall a really unique experience!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An incredibly layered and wide-ranging puzzle adventure. One of the best of the genre I've ever had the good fortune to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the gameplay, love the music!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the game SuperLiminal, I'll probably like Looking For Fael. Thanks
neutral · AI labelView post →great puzzle game. Just complicated enough that you need a piece of paper to keep track of things, but not so complicated that you'll be bashing your head against a wall.
