Sorry, but I am deleting this game on the basis that I should not have to sign into two launchers to play any game at all. The Steam launcher is fine, but the sh** EA one - no thank you very much. Looks like a nice game though, feel sorry for the developers to have to be associated with EA

🎲 A Charming, Tim Burton-Inspired Adventure The character design was easily one of my favourite parts of the game. Every character feels distinct and weird, with exaggerated features and unusual proportions. Each kingdom has its own personality reflected in the people who live there, so you’re constantly running into strange but memorable faces. It gives the world a handcrafted, storybook feel that kept me …

There are games you play… and then there are games that stay with you. Lost in Random is firmly the second. From the moment I stepped into its twisted fairytale world, I felt like I was walking through a living storybook—one where every corner hides charm, danger, and a strange kind of beauty. The art direction is incredible, blending a dark, Burton-esque style with environments that feel both unsettling and magical …

Favourite game of all time. Beautiful visuals and amazing story, I absolutely could not stop once I started! :’) Never been so obsessed with a game since Cult of the Lamb.

Man, what a truly beautiful game. This easily made it in my top 10. The art style (reminiscent of a Tim Burton film), the audio, music, voice acting, story and lore, it's all so well done. This game deserved to get so much more attention. I hope we get another one at some point. I know there's a pre-qual done in the style of a roguelite dungeon crawler so that's what I will play next. Combat in this one was fun IMO …

Critics, per Wikipedia
Lost in Random received "generally favorable" reviews from critics for most platforms, except for the Xbox Series X/S version which received "mixed or average" reviews, according to review aggregator website Metacritic. Destructoid praised each of the six realms, feeling that they were distinct from each other in non-visual ways, "Zoink does a good job of theming each world after its numerical, dice-based namesake. There's an amusing logic to how each realm operates. Seeing those quirks play out as Even, a total newcomer, is pretty entertaining". Rock Paper Shotgun liked the atmosphere of Random's world, noting its Burtonian influences, "Everyone teeters on long spindly limbs, and they're…

Unleses the glitch is taken care of I do not recommend getting it. IF YOU INSIST ON PLAYING IT, ONCE YOU REACH TWO-TOWN AND GET TO THE UPSIDE DOWN, THERE IS A NPC NAMED " OVERSEER MURK " IF YOU TALK TO HIM YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO INTERACT WITH ANYONE ELSE. SADLY THERE IS NO CURRENT SOULTION TO THIS ISSUE…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game didn't receive the recognition it truly deserves. Truly a hidden gem. The story grabs you immediately and maintains a steady drip-feeding of excitement throughout its playtime. if you love open world games it not for you. . 9/10 would certainly recommend this game. If they worked on some small things like mouth movement in talking and add more weapon cards and this game will be 10/10

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not super far and I may come back with more info, but I can say that Lost In Random gives less than a great first impression. YOU NEED AN EA APP LOGIN TO PLAY. I was able to eventually start the game without - which is good, because the EA App launcher crashed no fewer than 3 times in a row before even showing me a login dialogue. According to folks on the forums, this is even worse -and in some cases straight up unplayable- on Steam Deck and Linux. It's not a great feeling to buy a game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The concept and art is very cool, the combat is very interesting and fun, but the game itself gets very repetitive. You go to a different town with the exact same 5 npc models and have to do some quests to be able to move to the next one. I find it disappointing and kind of a waist of potential. Makes me sad, I really enjoyed the first map and the whole idea

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's definitely not in my top ten, but you know what? It's a beautiful game. It's simple but original, the maps are very defined and linear, the story is cute, the card mechanics are fun and well done -I've never encountered a bug-, and the aesthetic is really unique and pleasant. It's a team that knew what it could and couldn't do, identified the core loop of the game, wrote a nice, sweet story, and polished it to give players a nice experience. Great job, I'm sorry it wasn't advertised more…

neutral · AI labelView post →This game seems awesome. But the camera is horrible. It auto-follows. But is also manipulated by the right stick. Meaning NON STOP unintended camera motion. Motion sickness ahoi. I never have this in games. No mods to turn off automatic camera motion. And a bit of ea launcher. literally unplayable

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lovely game with an interesting gameplay. Deserves more recognition.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely loved this game! I can only recommend it. If I really wanted to nitpick, I'd say the voice lines were a little buggy sometimes, and didn't line up with the animation. Also, by Fivetropolis, I ran out of things to spend money on, some additional boons could of been nice, but again, nitpicking. If you love RPG story games with a hand made feel this is the game for you. The music, the characters, the storyline, they just show how much love went into this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game has brilliant ideas, amazing voice actors and great writing albeit it was executed poorly in combat. Combat takes up almost half of your play time and it's done quite poorly. The game is not a platformer and you cannot jump. It seems like a fun game at first but it's gets quite hard. The devs know it and there's a lower difficulty option in combat but it is not intended as default setting. Here is everything wrong with this game. It is spoiler heavy on how the game mechanics…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm really enjoying this game a lot. The combat system with the die works perfectly and is easy to get used to. The story is engaging and the characters too. It is a pretty linear game but that doesn't take anything away from the experience.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7/10 Enjoyable game. It seems like the creators were truly passionate but they had to cut a lot of corners probably due to budget or time constrains from EA (e.g there are only like 7-8 NPC designs and they repeat in the different cities over and over again) + Interesting story + Good art design. I would say this is the point and story is that motivated me to not drop the game (plus is short and combat is simple but engaging) + I thought combat was going to be bad based on the first minutes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like playing a Tim Burton movie.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the art style, the world, and how quirky this game is, but unfortunately storytelling feels too slow, characters are a bit shallow, and the combat mechanics get tedious fast.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a fun experience, enjoyable, awesome journey and gameplay. and probably several side stories. The Graphic & system> Very beautiful, doesnt eat too much RAM but you need to know whenever EA is involve you going to have issue like glitch, freeze, crash. But overall it is still beautiful. The Story > To be honest, the story is fun, the adventure is unique and so enjoyable but there is too many loophole like what happen on the begining (the queen and her sister?), why even mom have dice…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m only about 3.5 hours in and yeah… this is already a top 5 game for me. I love it. The character designs are super cool, the story hooked me way faster than I expected, and the boss fights are actually fun. The environments are also chef’s kiss, I keep stopping just to look around. This feels like a mash up between the movie corline, resident evil, little nightmaires, and elden ring and i can't stop playing i need help.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have to admit, my feelings about this game are very mixed. So to simplify everything I'll leave bellow the cons and prons and the main reason I can't reccomend the game. Pros: + easy to pick up and play, pretty straightforward + beautiful world with amazing desing and NPC's overall, I really liked this setup and the whole idea of Random, I even wish there was more lore about the place itself + The whole game is voiced and for me this is a HUGE plus. There're subtitles as well, but the story…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another instance of wishing steam had a middle vote. The game drags. That's honestly the worst thing. The movement is slow, the world is made up of long hallways, conversations with NPCs are long winded, combat is kind of grindy, and the game feels like it stretches on and on. For the most part it more so feels like the Devs didn't know any better. They set out to make an artful game, and they did, but ended up making a few gaming issues along the way. I stopped playing the game about 3\4 of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of I'd like to say that I don't usually write negative reviews, especially considering I initially really liked this game. It has a very unique battle system that honestly feels really refreshing when compared to your standard game, cute and funny characters and some interesting references. But. There's ultimately a lot about this game that is not too enjoyable. The battle system - While unique and interest it is ultimately boring. I will say that I played on story difficulty but I…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a really nice story and the gameplay was smoth but i think is need and part 2 for this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lost in Random plays like a game that has a myriad of artistic talent in its credits, with absolutely no game design pedigree to speak of. This game has leaned completely into (admittedly stunning) visual design, with absolutely no gameplay merit to its name. The character designs, camera controls, and attitudes lead one to feel as though it is set up to be something of a standout hit 3D platformer with interesting combat and puzzling, but in actuality it literally plays like generic AAA slop.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The trailer for this game makes it look like it's a horror game but it's really not. It's just the type of art style of the characters that can sometimes look spooky. This is such an interesting game. A different take on how to use dice and cards. The story is about find someone that's lost, but then also trying to stop a Queen from causing harm to all of the towns. I'm partway through it and I love it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An interesting and fun game! :D I did find the combat to get repetitive after awhile. I ended up putting the game on easy halfway through just so the enemies were easier to kill and the fights would go by quicker. Aside from that, it is a cute story with fabulous gothic graphics. I bought it because I was looking for games like Alice Madness Returns. Definitely worth the money!❤️
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a very nice gaming experience. It has a very unique battle system, great voice acting, and a very good story. The game has a major Tim Burton feel through the whole story like a mashup between Night Before Christmas and Coraline, but cuter. The battles are a mashup between a Dungeons and Dragons, a card battler, and a straight action fight. This is what makes the game so unique. In a battle you fight in action style to collect crystals. The crystals can then be used to use cards that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool setting and good atmosphere, which unfortunately becomes somewhat repetitive as you progress. Once you pass the third level, you start to see that the game repeats characters and ways of advancing, and you stop finding new cards for combat. Even so, I would recommend it as it was very entertaining to play on the Deck. The combat concept is original and makes it enjoyable, although with poor RNG it can prolong even the simplest battles. Recommended for the Deck.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been genuinely surprised by the gameplay so far. Enjoying the combat, also enjoying the story, its a very immersive game. I just wish I could rebind keys, not a fan of the default ones.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remember the time that I asked Tim Burton to make me a video game? Well, he said yes and this is that game. I love the art style. It's dark and whimsical. Colorful and sad. The story is so compelling. Unfortunately, I did put it in my DNF pile because it's just not the kind of game I enjoy- which is disappointing because I really do love the art style.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really loved this game! It's really sweet story with beautiful artwork and great, dark aesthetics! The gameplay was pretty good, a mix of puzzles, walking around / rpg simulator with quests, battles, and card play. I actually didn't think I would like a play that used so much card play, but I really loved my experience. It's a gem of a game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Experiencing the adventure with upgraded graphical fidelity reveals incredible scenes and crystal clear details. Previous playthroughs on Nintendo Switch suffered from extreme fogginess, obscuring beautiful environments and making visual recognition difficult. Purchasing a second copy on Steam feels entirely justified when seeing gorgeous art styles without visual limitations. Exploring a gothic fairy tale inspired world delivers huge fun, and rolling dice to determine citizens’ fates adds…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very unique and nice game. recommend playing it :) love the aesthetics and the atmosphere. the humor. the unique comabt system. as a cards player I enjoy. the characters are very "special" lol.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun and cute little tale about a little girl's adventures in a weird, whimsical land in the style of a Tim Burton or a Studio Laika movie. I loved the story. The combat is fun too, altough it gets a little repetitive towards the end, but it was cahllenging enough for me to not get bored and the idea behind it worked well. My main issue was with the navigation, both in the menu and in the world, since the map didn't show you exactly where you are, only the zone was highlighted, you are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the design and originality. Gameplay is simple, but enjoyable. Technical part is a bit shaky, probably needed a couple of patches or smth like that
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably fun overall but just couldn't finish it... The casting die mechanic ruins the flow of combat. Exploration/puzzles are fine but not outstanding.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lost in Random absolutely nails its combat by mixing deck-building strategy with the chaotic fun of rolling dice. It’s super refreshing to play a game where luck and card tactics come together so perfectly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dark and funny story. It was a pleasure to play this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →End to short, otherwise fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lost in Random is a game I can tell had quite a lot of passion put into it. It is one of those experiences that has all the makings of something I love (charm, passion, care, a gothic storybook atmosphere, darkish world building), but it just does not land for me personally. That is, in the end, why I give this game a thumbs up—because if someone else can enjoy this game the way I thought I could, that could be a truly beautiful thing. It is a game I wish I loved to play; however, after 3…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game but easy to get lost... Reminds my of Alice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to love this game; its presentation is really strong. I love the art direction, and there's so much creativity and care on show. In particular, I love the design of the Queen and the distinct identity of each region. However, that’s where my positives end. Firstly, for an adventure game these locations are awfully linear. This hampers any sense of adventure the game tries to cultivate with its otherwise vibrant settings. Places look different and looked lived in, but it all feels the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →wanted to play it more and enjoy it, but the gameplay was weird and choppy and you keep being interrupted by cutscenes. Having to log into EA is annoying. I like the story and battling tho, but i cant deal with this ♥♥♥♥. According to others, there's also a bug they havent fixed that makes it unplayable (talking to an ncp in the second town you travel to). ._.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i absolutely adore the aesthetic, and the combat was very fun after around 2 hours when it finally clicked. that said, it is a bit rough around the edges. you cannot go back for missed achievements, there are MANY reused assets (to the point of confusion), and the running movement is a bit janky. overall a fantastic game though, it took me 12.9 hours to 100%. also bernie was annoying asf
