Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 204 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (2,089 of 2,305 positive).
Players widely praise Make Way as a hilarious and chaotic party game best enjoyed with friends. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note that recent updates have introduced desync and collision issues, harming the experience. [4][5][6] A few players find the game less enjoyable solo or with bots due to difficulty finding matches. [7][8]

We used to play this on LAN parties for the past 3 years. Unfortunately ever since the latest update, EVERY collision feels random. Sometimes cars don't even collide at all while others do (collisions active). The latest update was about changing physics and you can definitely feel it the way the cars respond now. Driving, collisions between cars and walls, everything changed to the worse now. PLEASE FIX IT! ITS …

I can honestly say that this game has brought me and my friends hours of joy and I don't see it stopping anytime soon. No matter how we feel going into a gaming session, we leave happier after playing Make Way together. It is truly a special experience. More people should play it.

PEAK friendslop, insanely underrated hidden gem... if you're looking for friendslop games to play with your friends and you don't wanna loop lethal company clones, play this. it's like mario kart meets ultimate chicken horse, and i cannot express how much joy this game has brought me and my friends. 11/10 would recommend 1000x

Hands down the best party game out there, gives me stomach aches from laughing every time my friends and I play. Also absolutely jank in the best way possible, like, oblivion levels of bugs - but thats what makes it so much fun! :D 11/10 would recommend

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I advanced toward this game with some hesitation, as it reminded me of Ultimate Chicken Horse and i’m usually turned off by social party games where victory is influenced by the person with the lofty skill level or the most experience with this title. Or, to put it another way: i disapprove of games where i know the people i’ve invited to play won’t have a enjoyable time because one individual is completely crushing it while everybody else suffer the loss every single round. 🎮Well, things…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you have people to play this with it is ok. If not, it is hard to find games and actually play the game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was amazing on release and now since recent patches the Desync between players is AWFUL, I cannot stress how much it takes the fun away when you are deleted from the game simply for being too high after a jump or a fan. Ice doesnt show up anymore on the tracks half the time and the desync causes issues placing track pieces.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game lets us to set up AI bots as rivals, so you don't have to be worried about not being able to find nobody to play with. Be that as it may, bots produce very small experience points, so if doable, it is still more suitable to play with bros. 🧠The hardship curve is sharp; aside from the Acceleration Race, the Classic Race type carries a notable risk of plummeting off the track. Always dropping off the track can easily demoralize rookies. For that reason, when inviting pals to play, i…

neutral · AI labelView post →camera way zoomed in and will follow the first place player and just kill all other player 0.5 seconds off screen, or will just put the first player on the edge of the screen so they cant see what ahead. rest of the game seems creative fun with arcade style racing, mixed in everyone gets to build/effect the map.

Watching all the kilted Scots wave at and give thumbs up to the jerseyed Morocco fans in the city today has been my favorite part of Boston btw
neutral · AI labelView post →This is very much a party game, it's meant to be played with other people. I had nerd-scheduled some time for this with a buddy, but, well, the magic of nerd-schedules is that they're written with strange inks made out of whimsy and distractions, and those schedules sometimes become illegible. So I played it solo for a little bit: those 14 minutes were one go at a campaign against computer-controlled bots and a swift tour through the configuration. And as a game it's done quite well and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool gameplay, but joining friends is a nightmare and needs urgent fixing. Because of that a well deserved thumbs down, as this is not particulary a game designed to be played alone. Fix your game youre charging 15 Euros for it...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We played this game blind with 7 people (6 players max) and had an amazing time. We were all laughing and screaming for the full 2 hours we played. You have something special here and is a great balance of skill and chaos. Just wanted to list some of the great features that worked well: - 6 players local multiplayer is very welcomed! - Driving assist for those less experiences was fantastic. It would be nice to have its strength be per player. - Simple controls were very easy to explain (even…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Micro Machines V3 wannabe | KAMGUSTA's MINI REVIEW This is a conditional recommendation. It's a casual racing party game where every circuit is different. It's nothing like "Ultimate Chicken Horse" that some people brag about, it reminds more of "Micro Machines V3" but less polished, with fewer distractions and much simpler. It can be played up to 8 people, although in local co-op you need to use at maximum 4 Xbox joypads due to Xinput limitations (just add PS ones...). Online multiplayer…

neutral · AI labelView post →I already paid for game, but now unless I pay for DLC I don't get to play in some cars. Understandable practice in free to play games. Scummy practice in paid games, especially since the cars are each balanced differently. I hope they revert that decision and respect the players who paid for the base game. Apart from that crap, very fun game. don't buy the DLC, spend the money by gifting it to your friends instead :p
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hit the character limit as usual. I'll put as much as I can in the body and put the rest in the comments. I want to like this. No, really. I want to have a reason to get [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/4060690/Make_Way_Legends_Pack/]that rad pack of famous cars (KITT, DeLorean, Ecto-1, A-Team Van, Bluesmobile...). I WANT this to be good. But damn, it just isn't. Designed as a wacky party game with silly vehicles, over-the-top weapons, hazards, stunts, & hijinx, it's a ridiculous race…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this game during a free weekend. The game seems really fun, the level progression it doesn't get boring quickly. My only gripe with the game is the camera, due to it mainly being a sofa party style game which means the people falling behind get eliminated, which works for local MP but for online MP with friends it would be nice to be have the option of a camera focused on your car only (without the camera elimination ofc). Also the online MP seems to prioritize the host over the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My Score: 9/10 Prologue Roads are everywhere and come in all sorts of forms, from the most direct, like the way home or to the market, to the most abstract, like the path to a desire or an achievement. The only certainty is that all roads lead somewhere, sometimes simply, and other times quite convolutedly, as in this case. Because when you mix small, very fast cars with tracks forming a completely random path in each game, you'd better be ready for a combination of chaos and fun at every…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, pretty much the perfect successor of Toybox Turbos. Easily my favorite couch game in a long time! Pros: - Great gameplay, even solo againts bots - Nice graphics - Highly modular: Weapons and obstacles can be enabled individually, edge of the track can be disabled Cons: - Nothing, but the game has a weird bug with Xbox360 controllers, which counts each controller twice and breaks the ingame menus. Here is the workaround: Make Way > Properties > Controller > Disable Steam Input…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately, I have to give this game a negative review right now. When it works, it's incredibly fun. Load up with a bunch of your friends, build a track, go ham. But there have been issues since launch that make it difficult to join games. Until recently, this was rare. Now it's constant. None of us can connect to each other. Remote play doesn't work. Using a VPN as the Dev suggested doesn't work, neither does opening ports, enabling UPNP, etc etc etc. Supposedly there's a fix coming in a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BUY THIS GAME! This game is just good. This game has the BEST CONTROLS I have ever seen in a video game. This game is just skill, zero luck. It gives you a huge selection of cars to choose from and overall, just unique gameplay. The gameplay is addicting but the UI is even better. For one, YOU CAN'T USE YOUR CURSOR. YOU ARE FORCED TO USE THE KEYBOARD. This game is full of life and you can do few better things with your limited time on this earth. I bought this game for $5 on sale with it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really fun game to play with friends, had a good laugh, indeed remind me ultimate chicken horse even with just 2 players and 3 bots it was a blast can't wait to force more friends to play it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nothing better than hitting my friend at full speed then finish last in the race I won but at what cost.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Literally why is this rated positive by most ppl? the garbage camera makes it more frustrating than fun, i legit just spent my time zooming ahead, killing my friends within 5 seconds of their respawn. kinda just disgustingly one sided.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Make Way has a great design and fun mechanics, but countless bugs overshadow them. The biggest bug is the camera following one player rather than the player who is in first place, resulting in everyone in the game being killed after the player the camera is following falls off the map. The game's developers no longer seem to work on the game aside from releasing new cars instead of fixing its many issues. If you're looking for a game like this, I suggest Slip & Skid. It has the exact same…

neutral · AI labelView post →Best racing ever, funny as hell with friends. First racing where i can build track, so do literally except driving and i like it. Progression is pretty smooth. But best part of this game are checkpoints and out of screen elimination. In other racings one player made a mistake - game becomes boring because your friend is far away forward. But here you die often, you respawn often, and really race with your friends. So its perfect in pacing and competition, better than mario carts-like and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Make Way is genuinely one of the best party games of all time. The community is lovely and every game feels new and just as chaotic as the last. I would recommend this game a million times over and glaze it to oblivion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best 4+ player local party game I've played. As long as you have the controllers, it can't be beat. - Few, if any performance difficulties when played on a Steam Deck. - Wide variety of game modes that can both give new players a chance and veteran players a challenge. - Continuous content updates adding more to every part of the game (cars, tracks, maps, etc.) - Even some light emergent gameplay through expressive player interactions like horn blaring and emote wheels My only real…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs please add an option in the game versions and betas section to go back to version 1.2. Something happened during that update that changed the ability to do crazy shortcuts. With the hecticness of 6 players it took a while to realize, but when I played again with my OG Make Way crew we realized that skips weren't as reliable, and the camera doesn't track nearly as well. This was one of my absolute favorite games to play local multiplayer, but unfortunately I can't recommend it as it is now.

Literally every time I play this game it has me crying laughing. I 100% recommend if you are looking for a fun party game to play! ps: This is my mothers favorite party game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is super fun and hilariously buggy. The bugs are so harmless they actually add to the experience. Please add more traps and increase the trap density. 10/10!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TOTALLY my cup of tea right here, an excuse to dominate friends (or bots if you don't have friends) when it comes to party racing games. Get it on sale with your crew of buddies and have a blast!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →100% recommend to play with your friends. Turn shortcuts on, walls off, and make sure you cant skip to the next checkpoint when failing a certain number of times. Now you have a death section on the map you placed too many traps on and its war.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Vehicle is simple to control; Collisions with other players feel funny and it can feel comedic to stay on the track if there are many players; Level building is quite devious and does feel as satisfying as a game like Ultimate Chicken Horse; Game can lag quite a bit if you're playing online. Might be enjoyable to some people, but for me personally.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Title: Fun concept, ruined by game-breaking bugs Make Way has a solid core idea, but the execution is a mess. Mid-match, the game simply decides you lose — no warning, no crash, just a forced loss registered as if you fell off the track. This isn't a one-time glitch. It happens consistently and feels completely arbitrary. Other issues I've hit: - Physics randomly catapulting players for no reason - Desync between what you see and what the server registers - Placement results that don't…
