Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Developer Insomniac Games, Nixxes Software
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a 2020 action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Based on the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales, it is inspired by both the character's decade-long comic book mythology and appearances in other media. The game is a spin-off and follow-up to Marvel's Spider-Man (2018), and the second installment in Insomniac's… From Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0)

What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 270 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (53,349 of 57,168 positive).
Players widely agree the game is short, often calling it a large DLC rather than a full title. [1][2][3] Many praise the improved combat and Venom abilities, as well as the smooth web-swinging. [4][5][6] Some reviewers recommend buying it on sale due to its length, despite enjoying the experience. [1][7][8]

The elephant in the room is the length. Calling this a full game is a stretch; it’s a weekend project. You can "platinum" this game in the time it took Peter Parker to just finish the opening act of the first game. For a premium price tag, getting a 6-to-8-hour story feels less like a new chapter and more like a DLC that got a standalone retail release because Sony needed a launch title, forgettable side-characters, …

Spider-man Miles Morales Is a good game but its much shorter then the other 2 games in the series i recommend getting it when it goes on sale because its still a fun play through with a decent story

Finished 100% in 23 hours. Miles Morales builds on everything Insomniac nailed in the first Spider-Man, delivering a smaller but emotionally tighter story. The Venom combat system adds real weight and variety, letting every upgrade feel impactful. Traversal is still one of the best in gaming — fast, fluid, and with the new quick-travel between train stations, moving around New York never gets old. The narrative hits …

I’m a bit mixed on Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. While the combat is significantly improved over its predecessor, I found the story noticeably weaker, which made the overall experience less enjoyable for me. Combat Combat is where this game shines. Miles has access to “Venom” abilities—electrified attacks that add impact and variety to his combos. These abilities make moment-to-moment gameplay more engaging, …

This is a recommend but only on sale. It is just essentially just dlc for the first game. The story is really uninteresting and most of the characters suck in this one. Combat is a big upgrade over the first game however. Would say to wait until the game is half off before buying. Although feeling the exaggerated swagger of a black teen may be worth full price.

Basically aligned to the launch timing of Marvel's Spider-Man (Sept 7 2018) so it should have a nice launch window and will be set up for a good holiday bump as long as they can hold to the date. Really looking forward to a new big superhero game franchise. Knife fingers crossed.

What I found was something slightly different: a more focused story, a new protagonist, and a journey centered around proving that being Spider-Man is not…

neutral · AI labelView post →The game is pretty much okay. The map hasn’t really changed much aside from the snow, and the gameplay doesn’t see any major improvements compared to the first game. Plus, with only about a 7-hour main story, Miles Morales feel more like a large DLC for Marvel’s Spider-Man. On the other hand, web-swinging feels a lot smoother, and combat has more depth thanks to additions like Venom abilities. The stealth system, which was heavily criticized in the first game, is now optional, and the…

neutral · AI labelView post →As much as I love this new entry, it’s hard to ignore a few issues. The voice acting can be fairly grating at times, and the setup feels a bit too similar to the newer Spider Man films, almost like it borrows their structure instead of carving out its own identity. The premise behind why Spider Man is away and how everything kicks off also feels a little thin and convenient, which doesn’t help the opening hours feel as strong as they could have been. That said, while it doesn’t start off great,…

Unfortunately, though, I could not find a single homeless and/or drunk person in this New York based, Christmas themed game, so I'm still waiting for that realism Patch. 10/10 - With great power, comes exaggerated swagger.

neutral · AI labelView post →Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Review SpiderMan: Miles Morales serves as the bridge between SpiderMan and SpiderMan 2, properly introducing Miles and his journey to becoming SpiderMan. The premise is simple Peter is away, and it's up to the "baby SpiderMan" to save New York. The gameplay loop is largely the same as the first game, but the improvements are meaningful enough that it never felt like I was simply replaying Spiderman with a different protagonist. I honestly had pretty low…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought all 3 of the spider man games on the steam summer sale. Always something i wanted to get around to at some point. First one was awesome loved it. Got hooked right away. I saw tho i needed to play Miles morales one before i jumped into spider man 2. So i did. Not bad. Upgraded some stuff made some things smoother. Very short story tho to lead you into Spider man 2. Around 8 hrs or so. Not as good as first game by any means but not bad.

However, the story is very short (it takes about 4 hours to finish) and contains some predictable clichés. The game mechanics are excellent, but there isn't much improvement over the previous game. Since it's very expensive, wait for discounts.
