Mika’s and the Witch’s Mountain is one of those games I desperately wanted to love. The concept is undeniably charming: you play a witch-in-training delivering packages around a cozy coastal town, clearly inspired by Kiki’s Delivery Service. The art direction is beautiful, the world feels warm and inviting, and the entire premise taps directly into a very specific kind of nostalgia—especially if, like me, you grew …

🧹 Mika and The Witch's Mountain Review 🌙 What a cute little adventure game. The story was adorable, and the townsfolk were very funny and sweet. I really loved the storylinee, it was so adorable, with a lesson to be learned that kindness is the way. You play as Mika, a little witch and the game is about making deliveries to earn coins to fix up your magic broomstick. You complete lots of different deliveries. I …

Do you want to play Kiki's Delivery Service, but in game form? This is it. But it's also transformative. It's got a more on-the-nose critique of capitalism, and if you're paying attention, you'll realize it's solarpunk rather than cottagecore, which is an upgrade. The characters are fun. The story is fun. The game is a bit short. I 100%'d it in about 9 and half hours, although I did use a guide to find the last few …

Mika and the Witch’s Mountain is a cute, charming, and cozy experience from start to finish. The game took about 4 hours to complete and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. The game is short, and the whole playthrough is really a long "fetch" quest. Normally this would turn me off but I found traveling around the world felt smooth and satisfying. Exploration is genuinely rewarding as you learn the layout of the …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate to do it to a game this cute, but in my experience the game is very VERY unstable. it seems to crash in between loading screens, and while there aren't many, one of the areas in the game is a water temple that took a VERY long time to complete. When I finally did complete it, the game crashed upon exiting, and saved none of the progress I had made. Beyond the crashes, the game is just a little too simple for 20$.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While a very interesting game and there are fun times with it, this game has been ABANDONED by the developer. I have in the 3 hours playing it had 5 crash to desktop, no warning, no cause beforehand and going by forums, THERE ARE NO UPDATES ON WHEN THIS WILL BE FIXED!! This game has had no updates since 2025 and no comments from the developers.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game keeps crashing randomly, losing you a bunch of progress because auto-save is way too sporadic. Happened to me several times, but the last time I lost half an hour of progress of doing the most annoying dungeon in the game. Literally unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just lose all my playing on a mission and i had to start all again because the game closed by itself and did'nt save any of my progress!!!!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is a steam group called "Wholesome Games" that lists cozy games. They also do nintendo direct style twitch streams. There is a ton of amazing cozy games. Of course there are some not so great ones. But the video seemed to focus only on stardew valley clones. Even though there are so many unique ones out there. For example i played a VR demo a few weeks ago called Sushi Ben. It was very unique and cozy. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2419240/Sushi_Ben/ This one is very cozy too.…
neutral · AI labelView post →Seems fun, but it constantly crashes. Devs have been aware of the issue since 2025 but haven't fixed it. Willing to give it another chance if constant crashing is fixed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →they still haven't fixed the random crashes happening i can't even complete any of the dungeons because it crashes and you can't save while in the dungeon so you have to do it all over again.

neutral · AI labelView post →Did you ever want to fly on a magic broom, like in Harry Potter or Kiki's Delivery Service? Well, it's not quite that here, but it seems that's what they were going for. Especially with a Studio Ghibli's style. The flying felt good and fun, but it was more like gliding, as you slowly descended, with one single "jump" and/or air currents to gain altitude. It was never free flying even with upgrades. I did enjoy when I was higher up in air, going relatively slowly and noticing a sparkle below…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mika Deliveries at your service! I was a little biased when started the game as I absolute love collectathon type of games and this one did not disappoint me. You take the role of a little witch that delivers package all around the isle while helping the townfolks, mechanics are pretty simple, the movement and playstyle I was a bit worried when I saw the broom as these types of movements trend to be clumsy but I find it easy to learn and pretty manageable. When it comes to content, it has a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Never had an issues with crashing like other mentions, super cute game I REALLY enjoyed! Love the Wind Waker style and the Kiki's Delivery service vibes. I wish there eventually was a broom you could get with free fly but I had a great time with the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes a ton with no warning
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I quite enjoyed this game, it reminds me of Kiki's Delivery Service. IMO it's one of few games that deserve to be called cozy games. The story is engaging enough, although it's not exactly memorable since it's heavily focused on Mika while most characters have short screen time. I also really enjoyed the exploration, even when I missed something and had to fly half of the island a few times. While some reviews mentioned frequent crashes, I didn't experience any technical issues on my Linux…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mika is a pure delight in terms of gameplay. I loved flying around the island, finding collectibles or secrets, getting used to the controls, enjoying the graphics, the story premise, unlocking new outfits/charms/trails etc. The frequent amount of crashes let the game down though. It became a miserable experience at times, especially within dungeons since progress is always reset upon loading. One of the developers advised me turn steam overlay off and put the graphics quality to normal, it…

neutral · AI labelView post →6/10 Kiki's sub par delivery service the entire game is fetch quests + flying - level design, its ok. - story would get on sale
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended on a sale. Unlike some other negative reviews, I didn't actually have any crashed or stability problems, the game ran smoothly. Instead, as I was making my way through the story, completing some side-objectives here and there, and taking my time exploring, I slowly realised that I was just going through the motions. I rarely felt like the game was exciting me with something new, and I felt like it never quite knew if it wanted to be collectathon, platforming, or exploration…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lovely little Mika's Delivery Service that could. There isn’t much of a challenge, complex level design, rich storytelling or whatnot, but it’s the perfect thing to mellow out with after a stressful day. The main story ends quite fast and abruptly, though - an additional hour or two would be welcome.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i really wanted to love this game, but it is too inconsistent at the current stage of development. the biggest issues: the game can't decide if it wants interact to be E or space. even worse, sometimes one is to go to the next screen and the other is to go backwards and you have to do the whole action all over again. why is interact in the world E but interact in the menu space? make it the same button. it's also not able to be changed or listed anywhere. the button to open the menu is tab,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, this game does exactly what it says on the tin. Cute, chill and relaxing. Just freely flying about delivering, exploring and helping people out whilst upgrading your broom to fly better than before. I will say that the story is very short which for the original price of nearly £17 is a bit disappointing as id happily play more. I got it in winter sale which was much more reasonable so this isn't a big criticism. They have put out some free updates though adding more to the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fantastic platformer with a unique traversal style and charming cartoon graphics. It's a metroidvania collectathon with zero combat and a simple but nice enough story that doesn't outstay its welcome. That said, after completing it I yearned for more and thankfully the devs are still adding free expansions. I've read that other players have experienced crashes but I didn't encounter any problems on my PC or Steam Deck.

neutral · AI labelView post →A very charming and pleasant game that I can't complete because the game keeps randomly crashing. I could tolerate it during the main game where each crash was only a minor setback. But the post game dungeons I can't even completely because each crash resets my progress.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, if a little simple. It crashed a few times while I was playing, and there were a couple of issues I ran into that required restarting the game (once where a localization string was visible and the character was not interactable, and another time where a fishbowl couldn't be given to an NPC)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review written after 12 hours and getting all achievements. Played through the game twice due to messing up a delivery on day two (I didn't notice I got a delivery wet). While I am giving Mika and the Witch's Mountain a "Recommend", I do so with a bit of caution. I think this game is at its best when it's just focused on the package deliveries, exploration, and unlocking the various shortcuts around the island and its collectibles. While the NPC interactions aren't anything special, they keep…

neutral · AI labelView post →this if my ideal version of a "Cozy Game". Lots of exploration and navigation, some puzzles to solve, decent characters to talk to and help out, and all in a 4-5 hour runtime. I really enjoyed this, with the minor caveat that it's a little sickly sweet. I feel like even cozy games really benefit from a grounding in reality or darker themes. Here every character is a cinnamon bun glazed in sticky sweet syrup and sprinkles. There are 2-3 "bad guys" but each is bested by very basic "We…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After multiple attempts and trying all the fixes I could find on trying to get the game stable and not crash, it continued to do so frequently. Until this is fixed, I can't recommend this game to anyone. I really loved the art style, and the game was fun, just the constant crashes just bugged the heck out of me. So, maybe I'll check this back out again in another year to see if the crashes have been fixed, but in it's current state, it's unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to like this game more. The game is cute and adorable, even when acknowledging the yucky parts of the business, and the game has a decent feel during the deliveries. However, what I expected more was Kiki's Delivery Service, which is what drew me in so much, but it feels like the game underdelivered there, sadly. The game is not very complex. This game is more relaxing and it dont super weird or complex systems, and there are other activities for those who want more of a challenge.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My review is similar to others in that I only recommend this game on sale. The world is bright, cutscenes are beautiful and the overall premise is cute..who doesn't love Kiki's Delivery Service?! But many things were added to make it longer VS being meaningful to the larger story/game. Also it doesn't autosave in dungeons as you progress so make sure to do that. I lost an entire dungeons progress because it crashed as I was leaving.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't get me wrong, it's a good game. But performance is just horrible... I run decent PC Ryzen 9900x with Radeon 9070XT, but stuttering for 30 seconds for a minute of lag free gameplay it's just plainly annoying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s exactly as if they had made a Kiki’s Delivery Service game where the only objective is to deliver packages. A boring game — I don’t understand why it has so many positive reviews for something with such low effort, very similar to Death Stranding but from the heavens.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game... The soundtrack is super basic and at specific moments in the story I thought it was just not good. The story is also very basic and doesn't encourage me to continue playing and see what's next. I was frustrated that the packages are so easily breakable, especially the spark plug which was already broken to start with. I want to use the wind currents to make me go faster, but some of them make me directly crash into things, so I can't use them for delivering…
