First 2/3 of the game: Good Last 1/3of the game: NO! GOD! PLEASE NO! First: the voice acting in this game is bad. 90s Playstation bad. Pretty surprising that in 2023 a game still can't find decent VO talent. But whatever, it's a low budget adventure game, I can forgive ♥♥♥♥♥♥ VO. It was almost endearing, in a way. Graphics are fine, nothing amazing and the game should run on a potato which is a plus. Gameplay is …

Monolith is a classic point-and-click adventure which reminds me of the old LucasArts games. It has a lot of dialog, a plethora of inventory to find and use, and requires thinking out of the box (no oil? no problem... use fruit!). Played from a third person perspective, you awake in a space station with no idea of what planet you are on or what has happened to your team. You then explore the space station, the …

Mixed bag for me. I was looking forward to a cool point and click sci-fi adventure/mystery, and at first all seems well however the last part of the game totally abandons this concept and goes somewhere else entirely and the story sort of devolves into a daytime TV cliche. While passable, the dialog needs work, it is bloated in places and needs trimming back, some parts need re-writing entirely. You will be skipping …

Overall good game that sadly falls apart at the end. The Good: - simple but clever puzzles at times - interesting story (until it switches) - the ending, its interesting how the twist is chosen - being able to skip puzzles if you get really stuck The Bad: - the cinematics feel ported from 1998 - the ending, because it really does a full 180° on the entire game and not in a good way sadly. - UI *can* be a bit finicky …

I enjoyed playing. It is a true Point and Click adventure game. You get the feeling of The Dig, Syberia, and a bit of 2001 Space Odyssey weirdness at the end. The story and atmosphere kept me engaged the whole time. I really liked the art style. I especially liked the Backgrounds. The 3D protagonist in a 2D drawn world with some 3D elements and even puzzles thrown in is great. I like the control scheme. You can …

"The quality of too many of our new releases has really missed the mark." Employees blame the weak slate on former president David Haddad www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

(Most started a new studio with EA.) Monolith then began working on Wonder Woman — but it simultaneously had to rebuild its entire leadership team!

neutral · AI labelView post →So, this past week, MONOLITH studios, maker of brilliant games, including GoTY, was closed down. This is a loss to gaming and storytelling both. I worked as a consultant on what would have been a beautiful Wonder Woman game, full of action, thrills and heart, along with an incredible team. Sad.
negative · AI labelView post →Lots of other folks followed them, too. Warner Bros. Games, under president David Haddad, put Monolith in the impossible situation of having to simultaneously rebuild a studio while starting a new game from scratch. Of course it didn't work out.

The game industry is a perfect example, where legendary game studios with a rich and important history like Monolith, can just get snuffed out because an end-of-quarter balance report didn't please some shareholders.

neutral · AI labelView post →To all the Wonder Woman fans who desperately wanted it & to the team at Monolith who put their talent & heart into creating it, I’m so sorry. You deserved better… you deserved a Wonder Woman game! #wonderwoman 💫

neutral · AI labelView post →Happy 7th Anniversary to Xenoblade Chronicles 2! It's Monolith Soft's highest selling game. With an incredible soundtrack, fun battle system, a moving story and great characters, it's one of my favorite Switch exclusives.
positive · AI labelView post →Nintendo Today posted my favorite art from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I actually think Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Definitive Edition on Switch 2 is more likely than people think. It's Monolith Soft's best selling game ever and I could see them wanting to release an enhanced version.

positive · AI labelView post →Monolith Soft shared the sculpture that was used as the concept for the very first Xenoblade Chronicles game. If the Nintendo Museum ever does a big Monolith Soft exhibit, this needs to be the centerpiece!
neutral · AI labelView post →Monolith Soft's main office in Tokyo has all the Xenoblade series posters proudly displayed on the wall. In my opinion, Xenoblade Chronicles 1/2/3 is one of the most perfectly realized trilogies in video game history.

Why the fuck isn't the person that pushed Monolith and Rocksteady to make live-service fired? Why the fuck isn't.... right. It's the same answer every time. So infuriating.
