Many players find Moving Out 2 a fun co-op game, especially with family or friends. [1][2][3] Some reviewers feel the sequel lacks the charm of the first game. [4][5][6] Several players report issues with online multiplayer, including lag and region locks. [7][8][9]

The games multiplayer is very laggy, and is basically unplayable for anyone who isn't the host. There was always one player who had this issue no matter how many times we tried resolving the issue.

My wife and I finished Overcooked 1 & 2, Moving Out 1, A Way Out and It Takes Two. That being said, this is an excellent game. Get yourself someone to play with.

it's good, but I can't quite put my finger on why, it feels like the first game was more fun, not that this sequel is bad by any means, but it feels a little bloated it that makes sense. It's still fun to move things around but it feels a lot more chaotic, often not in a fun way. If you're looking for more games like overcooked I would still definitely recommend this, I just feel like moving out 1 felt more cohesive …

Love playing this with my kids. The variety in level types is a nice change

77% of the 172 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Moving Out 2. The complaint that keeps coming up: online multiplayer is laggy or unplayable for non-hosts. Deal-breaker or nitpick?
Critics, per Wikipedia
Moving Out 2 received positive reviews on Metacritic. Although they criticized the single-player game for not being as much fun, IGN said the co-op gameplay is "as challenging as it is charming" and praised its humor. Nintendo Life praised the environments, scenarios, humor, and multiplayer, but they criticized the performance on Switch. Slant Magazine called it a "fun-packed, faster-paced, wackier sequel" and said its silliness rests on "enjoyable, rock-solid gameplay". Push Square said Moving Out 2 "can get a little repetitive" and the gameplay is "quite familiar", but they said it is "a solid good time" when played in bursts. They recommended it to fans of Overcooked and ultimately found…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first Moving Out was arguably my best purchase I made on steam. This game is ok, even good in comparison to other games I've played, but comes nowhere close to what I liked about the first one. The game didn't have the same charm for me and I couldn't figure out why. I ultimately narrowed it down to the fact that the first game had fairly simple map design, but the progression of map obstacles through out the game made sense without over staying its welcome, This game seems to for the most…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game makes me sad compared to the first one. I've played, and 100%'d, both Moving Out games and there is a clear difference between the two. Moving Out 1 has a ton of charm and care, you can tell it was made with passion and love. Moving Out 2 in comparison is missing that love and you can tell that many corners were cut in its development. The bonus objectives, level design, and story are lazy. The ending is anti-climactic (no final boss, the final level is an arcade style challenge…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great if you're playing on the couch together, but trying to play online is a crapshoot at best.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am so unbeliveably disappointed in the cross platform for this game. My husband bought this game for me and my sister so we could play together long distance and we cannot even add each other as friends. For $30+ this was a rip off and I'm furious. Why advertise as cross platform if it doesn't work, especially since this game has been out long enough for these issues to have been solved already. I wish I could get my husband a refund because this game is going to sit in my steam library…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't be fooled by the "Online Co-op" Because it doesn't work at all. Bought it for me and someone to play together, but It always gives both of us a "Unable to join online session" error. Do NOT Buy it to play online with friends, as it doesn't seem to work.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun little game especially if you're able to play with friends, BUT the majority of the time when trying to invite another person to play we get "ERROR, Unable to join" message. I do not recommend this broken game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An exceptional co-op game - dozens of levels with different mechanics, great style, and the best/worst puns I've seen as of late. And, of course, online multiplayer Can be played alone too, but then you don't get to experience a variety of "two dogs with one stick sofa" moments.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →online play does not work i tried to play with my friend multiple times and the online play doesnt work this error makes me regret ever buying this game for me and my friend
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like stages with real houses, not candy world/ magic world/ cloud world :( Personally rate 6/10 Moving Out 1 was 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →there is no online matchmaking, you can only play solo or with friends (locally, online, remote play), but not with strangers
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Purchased two copies of this game, one for myself and one for a friend, to play online multiplayer together. Unfortunately online multiplayer is completely unplayable due to lag. I cannot recommend this game. Please fix this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horrible game design. 95% of the levels are made tideous and annoying and not fun. Annoying gimmicks like clouds that block the whole map are overused, and the windmill dimension especially is horrible to play Controls are clunky and vauge for "fun". Manuvering tight corners with 2 people has a chance to become a fist fight irl. My biggest flaw with the game is the stupid enforcment of collecting tardy stars but you have to play the level to even see what the requirements are, and when you do…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some of the characters I designed on Moving Out 2, I had the immense pleasure of working with an incredibly talented team to guide the aesthetic direction of the game.
neutral · AI labelView post →An excellent sequel to the first Moving Out. It takes what made the first game fun, and doubled down and added even more wacky things to work around. If this is your first time hearing of this game. All you need to know is that you are a worker in a moving company, and you must pack furniture in your moving van as fast as possible by any means necessary. The game will get chaotic very quick, and you'll be flinging furniture around at the speed of light through windows and walls to accomplish…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →my sister and i bought this game because we're huge fans of Overcooked 2, and this game seemed like it'd be right up our alley... we were majorly disappointed. we like to play on our own PCs, but the online multiplayer is a laggy mess. combine that with how picky this game is and how intricate the physics are... it's not great. i really like the premise and think the game has potential; it's hilarious! but, it just seems unpolished and messy, especially if it's trying to promote online…

neutral · AI labelView post →A definite improvement on an already solid fun multiplayer game. Everything about it is charming and fun, and this sequel has so much more flexibility than the original. There's some weird quirks for sure. There'll be specific spawn points that always seem to be on an occupied space, and it takes a while to adjust even tho there's NOTHING around this one designated square they assigned. Nothing game breaking but it does get irritating when you fall off a cliff and the one object you have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The goose knows what it did. Now, to start things off with, I haven't gotten far. Mainly because I'm working on creating guides before anybody else can but, shhh... and have been basically just been figuring out all the side-missions and things on the first few levels (gotta get 100%, ya know). So, I'll probably update this as I go along. But until then, lemme tell you what I like about it. Pros: - MOWA THINGS TO THROW - Great references - Same great wackiness from the first epic game Cons:…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the first game. I want to change this to a thumbs-up, but until Multiplayer is fixed, I cannot. This game for the host isn't too bad, but anyone joining the host has horrible lag to the point where it is unplayable if I am aiming to beating times it is impossible due to terrible product being launched. Please look into why your multiplayer is so bad & fix it. 1/10 at launch - Lets change it yeah? (Originally I gave it a 0, but it does open, 1 out of 10 is fitting.)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →100% Achievement Review: Moving Out 2 Time to Complete: Focusing purely on achievements, it should take around 15-20 hours. If you’re going in completely blind and haven’t played the game on another platform, expect closer to 20-25 hours. Gameplay: If you’ve played the first game, you’ll feel right at home. If you’re new to the series, the concept is simple: move items into a truck within a time limit. There are optional objectives, and some levels mix things up by having you deliver items to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My son and his classmate love this game, they can easily spend an afternoon by playing this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was charged by a goat while holding a cow by its butt and witnessed every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chicken in Packmore clip into fences while zooming around. I consider the attempt to kidnap a cow unsuccessful. But a true warrior will always find a way out of the situation! 11/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fantastic option for those who like the chaotic co-op of Overcooked, etc. Funny dialogue, various level gimmicks, and enjoyably rage-inducing. I've played with 2, 3 and 4 and found it scales well. We all used Steam so I can't comment on the cross-platform connection, but we didn't have any issues.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know other people that tried to play this game online had many issues but I think giving it a negative review based off that is doing a disservice to an otherwise improvement over the first Moving Out--- granted even this second iteration is far from being perfect. The controls at times feel a little less tight than the first game but in general nothing game breaking or frustrating ever happened, the chaotic fun spirit is still there in spades and whilst the game vibe is not full 80'…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was unable to connect to multiplayer to play with my boyfriend, he had the same issues. Apparently several players appear to be having this issue as well although it is not everyone. Unfortunate as from what little I got to play, it was really fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Whenever I am not hosting the game, I have a ping of at least 270 ms, making it very hard to play. Furthermore, these type of games (such as Overcooked) rely on a sort of frustration-to-satisfaction ratio, but frankly nothing is satisfying in this game as it is too choppy for me to play (because of the ping), and some of the earlier levels are already way too hard; it took us more than an hour to beat the third level (iirc)... The controls/game mechanics are also just really weird. If you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is ridiculous and hilarious, and a ton of fun to play with friends. The way you just just fling things... never let me help you move haha
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a great game, it's just missing the magic the first one had!! A few hours in and I've noticed that the voice over gag lines are gone, music theme feels mono-tone unlike the 80's style from the first, and greatest feature was cut!! The truck doesn't fold in at the end of the level, stranding my companions in the process with the ejected furniture.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved the idea of the first moving out but it fell flat considering you couldn't play with friends. If you tried to remote play, it was unplayable. This is everything I wanted from the game and then some! So fun with the time challenges and extra challenges you can go back and do. So many characters to choose from with some clothing choices! The jokes are cheesy and it is just great for my friends and I. I would 100% recommend it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely infuriating to play. The only reason I have a bunch of hours on this one is because its the only game my ex has on her steam account, so its literally the only game my kids can play with me. I wish it weren't. I get it, wonky physics in a game where physics matter ; sounds funny, sounds great. But it gets really old, really fast. I wish there was a switch turn the wonky physics on and off. Its stupid. Who thought making a game about large items not fitting properly in doorways…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spent most of the night playing couch coop for a game called Moving Out 2. Absurd physics chals game like Overcooked, and haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Needed that.
positive · AI labelView post →apart from one level that i didnt understand at all and the unwanted changes in physics about jump-throwing and the worse grabbing physics (grabbing speed, length of grab and flying robot handle grabbing), this game is great 10/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm unable to connect to friends :( I love the game but having to play through steam remote play isn't ideal Would love some help if possible. Thanks!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so fun with friends, highly recommend! It can be a challenge on its own but then there are little secret challenges within each level that you can try for. And lots of characters and skins, which are super cute!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moving Out 2 is very similar to the first iteration. You pick up furniture through a maze of homes, fields, castles, and more. Sometimes you have to do the reverse and put move furniture and items into the level. Here there are some varieties to the levels. In the future levels, you use batteries to open up doors with limited time until the door closes or use robot to accomplish other changes to the levels to help maneuver to hard to reach furniture and items. In the wizard levels you…
