This game is superb on every level, however the focus on Online Co-Op as the main factor hurts the game so much. People said it can be played Singleplayer perfectly fine, so i bought it. That was a mistake. You can play Singleplayer, but it's not meant to be played as a SP game. You can do all the stuff in a tedious way and clear everything, but it's NOT FUN, rather it's annoying. The lower difficulty levels are …

Borderlands vibe Risk Of Rain style Helldivers missions CSGO skins Soundtrack: Banger. Gameplay: Fight fungus crawlies. If you don't kill confirm them, they start combining to form bigger baddies. You start getting really overwhelmed on the higher modifiers. These dudes will always just be standing in your way no matter what type of mission you pick. The weapons and movement feel really good. There's a ton of build …

It's like Titanfall 2 but better. I do have some complaints, though. First, the good stuff. PROS: 1. Movement is smooth and feels great. 2. The voices are fun. 3. Weapons are unique and don't take long to unlock. 4. The gunplay is good, though it depends on the weapon. CONS: (2 and 3 apply most to singleplayer) 1. There is a LOT of enemy spam. This wouldn't really be a problem if it weren't for complaints 2 and 3, …

Genuinely, for me this game is up there with deep rock galactic and risk of rain. One of my favorite roguelites for sure :D

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanna be abundantly here clear that I do not actively dislike this game, I think it's pretty alright all things considered! I come back to it every few months to try out the new stuff they add to the game, and I typically enjoy myself quite a bit. This game has a lot to love. From the little character interactions in the hub, to the ingenious revive system rewarding both skill and sticking together as a team, the banging soundtrack, and the really unique procedural enemies! There's again, a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's...okay. This has been a challenging review to write because it is so apparent that the developers behind this game legitimately care and enjoy what they're doing, and I don't want to be needlessly harsh. The first 5, 10 hours were a lot of fun, the progression was solid, the enemies were interesting, playing build tetris was great, this game has so much style and character it oozes from the menus! I love it! It basically felt like I was on a nostalgia trip through a long lost childhood…

positive · AI labelView post →It's fun with friends for like, 10 hours before it very quickly becomes grindy and uninteresting. The experience in solo and public lobbies is also very bland and unremarkable. There is almost zero enemy variety, the enemies are incredibly damage spongey, and the maps are empty & lifeless. The upgrades & crafting materials you earn from missions are absolute peanuts, assuming you get anything you don't already own already. The different classes are interesting at first, but have very few…

neutral · AI labelView post →This is an amazing game. The gameplay is super fun, the missions are cool, the movement is very fluid, yet i cannot bring myself to recommend it. Why? The grind, after the first 10 hours of gameplay it becomes mind numbing and the game fully loses its spark when i need to do 5 missions to level up once or god knows how long until i get the next saxonite drop. Another side note is how bad the balancing is, some "Upgrades" barely and i do mean BARELY change your weapon while others are so…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At its core, a crisp, smooth movement shooter with modularity in everything. Behind it are developers who seem to want to make it the best they can. Mycopunk's got a lot of heart. But I'm still waiting to see if it's got a brain. The game bills itself as a cooperative horde shooter with four distinct character classes. In practice, any multiplayer game in Mycopunk breaks off into a scattered set of solo skirmishes, where the team only sometimes comes together - and usually only when…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's got a neat vibe and fun characters, interesting core gameplay concept. Upgrades are awful RNG and instead of directly fixing the existing ways the devs keep putting bandaid after bandaid onto the system. Once you do have the upgrades you want, the game feels like a late stage roguelike - think 2 hours into a risk of rain 2 run where the powertrip is running out of dopamine and you're just blasting everything in sight without putting much thought into it until something oneshots you back.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mycopunk can be a fun co-op shooter, but after several hours it didn’t manage to hold my interest. Not because it’s bad, but because its core design didn’t quite click with me long-term. The fungal enemy concept is genuinely clever. Enemies assimilating weapons and parts, forcing you to prioritize limbs, shields, or cores, is a strong idea and works well at first. The weapon mod system is also very flexible, allowing for creative builds that meaningfully change how guns behave, would be even…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Full honesty, I've never lost myself as hard as I did while playing a game as I have with this one. I spent the first three hours wondering what the absolute hell I was supposed to be doing. Then, once I figured out how to approach building the blocks of the character I chose, I really began enjoying it. And then, I was sucked into it so deeply I just lost 11hrs of my life in one sitting right alongside a couple friends as we blasted dozens upon dozens of Myco into tiny bits.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →been playing a lot of Mycopunk this weekend COOL game!!!!
positive · AI labelView post →This game is decently fun in a group but is perhaps the most miserable solo experience of all time. The fact that the enemies are all faster than your walking speed and just barely slower than your sprinting speed, and with almost no exceptions you cannot sprint while shooting, trying to shoot your gun at any point solo is just a death sentence. Solo gameplay is literally just kiting mobs while you wait for your grenade cooldown forever, since mobs spawn relentlessly. Map objectives are almost…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm posting this as a negative review because I hope I could get a response from the devs. Edit 27/12/2025: I tried playing some again but damn, this game seriously just lacks something, my clues as to what are displayed are down there but I dont even know, in DRG its just fun to move around gather some stuff kill something, the loop is perfect. Here I can't really tell what but something is missing... I need to say that DRG has classes that are super well designed, each one of them needs the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yup. The overabundance of games is killing great games. Can't tell you how many fantastic multiplayer games I've bought only to find out they're ghost towns or become ghost towns soon after purchasing. And it's because players are so spread out over so many games. 20 years ago these games would have been major successes with a huge player base for years, but they're dead on arrival or within a few months. It's a real bummer. That being said, I'm going to plug Mycopunk. Just got it and it's…

neutral · AI labelView post →Game looks good, but there's problems with accessibility. The game starts at full volume and goes into an unskippable movie that takes years to go through while subjecting you to the worst SFX for text I have ever heard in my life, along with a very loud hiss behind it. Then, without letting you go into settings, the game forces you into a run immediately. DO NOT EVER DO THIS TO PEOPLE IT IS DISGUSTING! Once I got into the options, it was apparent that I could not disable screen shake.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is what would happen if Warframe and Deadspace had a tumultuous marriage, and the child stayed over at Borderlands house to get away from the fighting. The weapon and upgrade variety is beautiful. The employees are intensely mechanically and visually distinct, as well as having many distinct possible playstyles. The systems behind enemy "parts" makes for interesting and dynamic fights. Very much recommended for that grindy power fantasy movement shooter itch.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a underrated gem! It's influenced by so many great games Borderlands, Destiny, Helldivers etc... It doesn't care to look the flashiest. Pigeons at Play truly put the gameplay above all else, a philosophy i wish was more common in todays UE5 Slopfest most games seems to be now. It was worth the $15 when i bought it over a year ago. The game is so much more refined and needs more players! A must buy if you love Looting and shooting. This game deserves to be bigger than any of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lovechild of Roboquest, Helldivers 2 and the entire Borderlands-series. If you like ANY of those games, youll enjoy your time in Mycopunk.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game basically takes everything I like from DRG, Borderlands, and Warframe, removes the stuff I don't like, and somehow turns it into a game that's actually fun and charming. It almost feels like a finished game already, which is kinda crazy. That said, it isn't technically finished yet. As of writing this review, the upgrade and modding system alone has already gone through at least three different versions. It has the class-style setup like DRG where each character has their own kit,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love a lot about the game but oh boy does is it completely fail at trying to make fair and enjoyable enemy's. The game from what I see is supposed to be a co-op arena shooter akin to Deep Rock Galactic but the game has little to no playerbase so you're mostly playing by yourself. the game throws Mini bosses at you 24/7 that are designed by either a Fool or by the same people who thought Division 1's Bosses were the pinicle of Boss design. Bullet sponge is putting it lightly, constantly having…

No great story or some ground breaking graphics, but can work on cheap hardware. And I love what they did with the weapon and how you modify them. Best enjoyed with friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is super impressive for how small the team is that made it. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone who likes Borderlands, Deep Rock Galactic, or Risk of Rain as it borrows from a lot of those games and puts its own unique spin on a lot of the concepts that inspired it. I do have a few complaints, which I will list but if the devs are reading this I hope they take this as constructive criticism and nothing more than that. Once again, I LOVE this game. :) - The upgrade…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly don't know how this has slipped past its demographic. It has the attitude of Borderlands at its best and the retro aesthetic of couches past. Each character feels unique and helpful in a team situation, and the amount of upgrades is insane. You have regular missions for rewards or a roguelike mode for even more rewards. It is an addicting loop. Highly recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't like the direction the game has been going. I don't like the Ouroboros game mode, I hate i'm forced to engage with it to get upgrades that are the best. I think the Ice Floes area is poorly designed and It's gruelling to navigate. I've been doing Amalgamation and Cranius weekly for months and months to try to roll an oddity, and it's impossible, and I refuse to engage with the Rougelike mode, cause the game is not polished enough for that to be fun. They should have added Ouroboros…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Goated upgrade system, lacks gamemodes and biomes as of now (There are like 4 biomes but they all look basically the same). Edit after a few more hours of playing: As much as i like the upgrade system, the method of obtaining said upgrades is somewhat annoying because its extremely rng based. I have the same issue with the overclock system in drg as well, but this can be a lot worse due to duplicates. They attempt to fix this with a crafting system where you can recycle upgrades but for some…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mycopunk has promise as an early access title, but balancing and design issues are holding it back. The game is also playable on the #SteamDeck with compromises: A copy was provided by Devolver Digital for review. steamdeckhq.com/game-reviews...
neutral · AI labelView post →Surprising ive not put in a review for this game thus far. But, i fell in love with this game fairly early on into its early access. I was shown this game by a friend and never really looked back. The game shows itself off at first to be a quirky little game with fairly simple to understand concepts. Over time giving you more tools to dispatch your enemies with. So its a true sort of zero to hero fantasy. I think the greatest system in this game is the grid placement for the upgrades. It makes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →my hope for the next mainline Splatoon game is that they rework the ability system, detaching it from clothes and instead tying it to the ink tank, where you equip abilities by slotting them into your tank using a grid system, similar to games like Mycopunk (pictured below)
neutral · AI labelView post →This is what Helldivers 2 was supposed to be. A game with a beautiful gameplay loop, developers that really care for their game. Gun upgrade system is unique and very very fun. This game deserves much more attention. I hope with all my heart that more people would try mycopunk, especially HD2 refugees seems to me would love it!
