I bought this game to play on my new VR headset and I was extremely disappointed. Save your money. Here are a number of reasons not to buy this game for VR: -You have no arms. Your only abilities in the game are to turn your head and "swing" a knife and a few other things by pressing a button. -There is NO controller tracking. You have to use your keyboard which is not only inconvenient but kills the immersion. …

Wow. I didn't expect this plot twist at the end and I already knew there would be one. So that's a plus. What I didn't find so good were the knife fights. You have to defend yourself with your knife against the deep sea fauna and with every knife attack there's a time delay because you're underwater and wearing a diving suit. It's realistic, but you have to time your attacks perfectly or you'll get hit. And I was …

There is a lot of attention to detail in this game. You can tell the developers are passionate about their creation and they have done a great job. The graphics are great! Narcosis Game Review (Full Review on Patron "Vixen Leaving Paw Prints Everywhere I Go" - link in Insragram bio Violet_Vixen_247) (Disclaimer - This is just my opinion and it may be unpopular or some may not agree) (Positive) 1. The story was kind of "been there, done that", but they did tie it well to the end giving it a psychological feel so that was nice. 2. Some of the under water scenery and visuals were really pretty. 3. The giant crabs were done well and were eerie. (Negative) 1. The…

Narcosis isn't a bad game, but it shoots itself in the foot by both requiring and disincentivizing exploration. It's required to locate all 40 collectibles, each providing flavor text fleshing out the 20 underwater residents, but disincentivizes it by making locomotion slow and cumbersome and navigation confusing, while limiting camera mobility and providing limited oxygen to counter a rapidly depleting 02 meter. If you're interested, just watch a playthrough.

★★★✯☆ Narcosis is a different type of Horror game, as opposed to running away from something trying to kill you the horror lies more in the fact that your on the sea flour and the systems related to that. Your character has a few hallucinations throughout the game and you never know if something is actually happening or is in the characters head. It makes for a really nice and atmospheric experience without having to rely on a big threat chasing you down. If you like atmospheric horror then I…

I've played just over an hour of this "game" so far and am unimpressed. My main issue that it's not so much a game as it is a (barely) interactive movie. You're railroaded from place to place, jump scare to jump scare, with bare minimum interaction with the environment. Occasionally there's jump puzzles or you have to hide from an instadeath crab. I hate to say this (and may change my opinion in the future after playing more) but this game is kind of boring. I suppose it's not bad for a first…

Short but really good horror walking sim game, the only downside I can think of might be the tank controls, (A and D to turn) but in my opinion this adds to the game There is some light combat and some jumpscares but most of the scares come from the environment itself I Narcosised.

So, I have to say this game wasn't as scary as I was hoping it would be. The scares were mostly jump scares with some "scares" that lingered for a bit too long. The controls were fine and made sense to me, but the combat was frustrating. The story is good, but only really gets delivered towards the end of the game and I would have preferred a more consistent delivery. The voice acting and sound design were pretty good.

Mid. Thats it. Walking sim, with tank controls and they try to spice it up with environmental/survival bits. However its just really not that interesting. Couldn't hold my interest after 1 and a half hours. Especially after the "plot twist" which was so annoying and far fetched (and coming right with a really stretched and forced walking dream scene) I just flicked this off. Some people can stick with it apparently. I thought i could based on these glowing reviews, but not sure what they are…

I can't get past the controls, especially when playing in VR. The suit handles like a tank, which makes sense, sure, but it's not fun. You can still turn your head within the suit to see the HUD at the edges of the helmet - again, fine, if I have to, but if you move your head to the edge of the helmet, your character begins to turn...but only if you're moving forward/back. Why? This is especially a problem in VR where you naturally turn your head to see the world, so your tanky suit is always…

An amazing game ! A bit like SOMA, without the sci-fi vibe. An industrial diver gets stranded at the bottom of the ocean after an accident in the methane rig he works at. He struggles to survive without losing his sanity. Great graphics, audio and story. Don't expect combat, just mild fear. It's a walking sim, but a riveting one!

I really wanted to love this but I just can't rate it. It's not scary in any traditional or even unconventional horror sense (more just horror from disaster in a terribly inhospitable environment, invoking some thalassaphobia maybe); the psychological horror bits (outside the interpretation of survivors' guilt) is just not scary. The story is pretty flat and lifeless, the psycholgical stuff in later chapters often inscrutable. The scariest thing about Narcosis truthfully is probably its…

This is a short, neat little walking sim type of game, where the focus is the story, and the horrors and mystery of it. I enjoyed the way the story unravelled, it felt like watching Wandavision in that as you get more info you start making different theories about what is really happening, and just one tid-bit can completely change the direction your theories go. The gameplay is very light though, so if walking sims aren't palatable for you then this ain't it for you.

Narcosis is mostly a walking sim with some mild puzzle solving and combat. The gloomy visuals and the creepy sound design are the main reasons to get this game, especially if you love deep sea horror like I do. However, it took me some time to find this game enjoyable as the early scares were rather predictable and not effective. I found myself making fun of them more than being frightened. Most claustrophobic game ive played. Towards the end of it, you forget that the footsteps you hear all the time are actually yours, but youre too scared to look behind you. great little game! Sounddesign and story development work hand in hand right up until the actual ending. the ending alone is worth the horrendous jumping puzzle type part that came in the 3rd 4th of the game. shambolic! but i can reccomend it!!

Not a bad walking simulator meets horror under the ocean, with a great atmosphere and generally enjoyable if slow linear exploration. It looks and sounds nice, if not anything to get too excited about. It may be a bit slow for some people and they will find it boring for that reason, I also found it was sometimes really obvious where to go, with other areas lacking anything distinctive to help you know where you should be heading. 2.4 hours to beat which is what I wanted from a short suspense game. During the run, I was noticing a lower budget feeling to the game but the pacing was engaging enough to keep going. By the time I was in the last area I was fully engaged (happened earlier but I didn't notice). The very last moment caught me off guard and I was busy holding back tears for the entire credits sequence. If you pick this one up, I seriously recommend playing it through to the end which is not a huge commitment.

Narcosis while diving is a reversible alteration in consciousness that occurs while diving at depth. It is caused by the anesthetic effect of certain gases at high partial pressure. Narcosis produces a state similar to drunkenness (alcohol intoxication), or nitrous oxide inhalation. The most dangerous aspects of narcosis are the impairment of judgement, multi-tasking and coordination, and the loss of decision-making ability and focus. Other effects include vertigo and visual or auditory…

Narcosis is a fairly competent horror with a fantastic story. I genuinely found myself enjoying the experience for the most part and was sincerely pleased with how the story unfolded and how it was wrapped up. The game is one of those rare indie titles that is quite competent not only in the gamplay department, but the story too, and comes together quite nicely. The easiest way to describe this is SOMA light - in a great way! I really enjoyed the story and narration style. Controls were a little weird at first, but not too bad. Definitely recommend!

From the screenshots and video, this game seemed interesting, since I really love underwater themes. Sadly, this game quickly became a dissapointment. Experience on the Valve Index This game was pretty good, it has some jump scares, mind bending section and a good twist at the end. I played using a gamepad and it worked well on the headset. Full play through here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEtfoTGeZgY
