Players praise the game's Warhammer 40k atmosphere and environments. [1][2][3] Common complaints include bugs, a weak story, and repetitive missions. [4][5][6]

“Preem vibe, trash execution.” Necromunda: Hired Gun looks incredible. Genuinely. It’s the kind of game that screenshots like a dream—hive city cathedrals, dripping neon, and oversized Warhammer greebles packed into every corner. The cinematic level design is a visual feast, and on paper, this should be the definitive underhive power fantasy. Unfortunately, once you actually start playing, the illusion collapses. …

Sorry to write this but the game is a wash. It crashed 3-5 times. The UI is unintuitive and annoying to figure out. Story is disapointing. You are a pawn in someone else game but have no emotional connection to anything that is happening. The only characters I liked were the dog and the guide. Only emotions I felt was slight horror watching my dog being turned into a cyborg, sorry boy but I don't even know if it was …

The devs spent 99% of their time lovingly creating some of the best 40k environments around. They perfectly captured the vibes and the insane scale of everything warhammer. Absolutely one of the best experiences for just walking around and existing in a warhammer place. Also the soundtrack kind of slaps. Then they spent about 30 seconds slapping a game onto those environments and called it a day. The story is barely …

With its fast movement and traversal mechanics, gory combat, special powers and clear focus on gunplay, Necromunda : Hired Gun is definitely what you'd call a Boomer Shooter. I hope that it's not derogatory or shows my age, because... I've enjoyed it ! Let's get something out of the way first, though : Necromunda is ugly. Even on high settings, the game's textures and colors look washed-out, the characters lack …

Hired Gun poses the question: What if a game is fun, but not well made at all? Well you get the thrilling disaster that is this game. The game has not one aspect that is perfect, everything is at least rough. Reviewing this game is hard cause I do not even remember what I just played, I felt like I was drunk the whole time and forgot everything after I blacked out. (Closed the game) The game is super fast, super …

Necromunda: Hired Gun sits at 55% positive across 231 opinionated reactions from 4 sources. Fresh or rotten — where do you land?
Critics, per Wikipedia
Necromunda: Hired Gun received "mixed or average" reviews from critics for most platforms, except for the PS4 version which received "generally unfavorable" reviews, according to review aggregator website Metacritic. VG247's Sherif Saed praised the game's combat, writing that "My desire to see what strange location the game was going to send me next kept me hooked on the main story thread, but it's the game's combat which made that journey exciting". He disliked how the game bound multiple actions to the same button, "Jumping into a wall, wall-running and jumping away all inexplicably use a single button. This finicky setup made it harder to pull off in the heat of combat than it needed to…

positive · AI labelView post →Played game five of my #Necromunda campaign this morning as my Enforcers raid a Delaque Gambling den. It did not go well with Natch-Gul and a Spector ambushing the flanks. Did get to use a load of new tiles though including the market street and the guild hall (representing the den). #Warhammer

neutral · AI labelView post →Played my first game of Necromunda 1995, didn't really have time to paint my team but I had plenty of miniatures to pick from :3 The game ended in a draw with me getting more xp but the same amount of money AND value lost to casualties.

Hell bring back the old bulkheads and give us a few card platforms to clip in Ppl don't mind card!
neutral · AI labelView post →Honestly I think Games Workshop knock it out of the park with every Necromunda release, so very tempted to get involved even though I hear the game is a bit of a hot mess of sourcebooks
neutral · AI labelView post →Tester game for Necromunda Underhells saw my opponent immediately accelerate his custom rig to three times its movement, attempt a turn, lose control, roll it three times, and wreck it. Which is, to be fair, the only acceptable way to play Necromunda.

neutral · AI labelView post →You know how GW sometimes releases "mini-games"? Like a Khorne Bloodbound pit-fighting game for AoS, or Bombers over the Sulphur River for Epic? They need to make a sailing game set on Necromunda where you hunt giant sump-spiders.

neutral · AI labelView post →Necromunda isnt AAA title and if you will go into the game with this mindset, you will have lots of fun. The shooting is really satisfying, the weapons sounds and effects are great and the environments make you feel like you are inside bowels of hive city. Just enjoy the shooting and dont mind lame plot and weird graphical decisions.

neutral · AI labelView post →Pick it up if it's on sale, but it's very much not worth 40 bucks. The movement and combat feel good to me, but the grappler likes to get me stuck on walls. I have to exit out of the mission and reload the latest checkpoint. Also I hope you like repeated voice lines, I feel like each combat NPC only has 2 lines that they can repeat.

neutral · AI labelView post →Necromunda starting point? I just picked up Hive War set. Hello! Use to play 40k 10 years ago, then had kids lack of time made me drop off. Have a Tyranid and Tau army. Was looking into Kill Team as a quick, easier entry point but constantly saw reference to Necromunda as a good game too. Seems to be more complex with RPG components but less balanced story type vibe. Thoughts? Seemed like the Hive War starter set was a good place to start. Anyone play?

While Necromunda itself is a distinct niche of the franchise, this game barely feels like Warhammer at all, and unfortunately, it carries over many of the studio’s familiar issues. Gameplay Your character moves extremely fast, too fast for the game’s own design. Aside from the first level, the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Back when Streums debuted with EYE Divine Cybermancy everyone said it was secretly a Warhammer 40k game, now I say, this Warhammer 40k game of theirs is secretly EYE Divine Cybermancy. You may be thinking this is an AA or more conventional AA sort of shooter with the amount of glazing Focus Entertainment gave to this one's trailers and Steam storefront. But no, this is in fact a classic Streum On jankfest with trendy conventional ideas thrown in. To start with the ugly, it's buggy, lacking in…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Game was a chore. Quests were boring. Side jobs are really dumb. Story makes no sense. Psykers left and right with no backlash or demon presence. Nobody cares that there's a huge Genestealer Tyranid infestation deep under the Underhive. INCLUDING AN INQUISITOR! The last boss got psyker powers by...bloodborning a blue vial? Afterwards kept on shooting me with a full auto plasma gun that doesn't generate radioactive death waves...It feels like this game should take at least 5 more years…
