this is a $50 open beta masquerading as a prequel The moveset mechanics are surprisingly solid if you overlook everything else (and there a *lot* to overlook). But there's virtually no reason to get or play this when the sequel--released only 2 years later--is the finished version of this game available for the same price. I'm just insulted they sold it as a completely separate title.

I was very excited for this game on release, popular characters being included in this style of game tends to come with licensing agreements and while I was excited to play, the cost was steep. That means accessibility for many was difficult, because the original price was high. Less than 2 years later and the game is on sale for 5$ CAD. For dirt cheap, it's a fine enough platform fighter. It definitely falls short of being anywhere close to something like Smash or Rivals, but it's okay. The game is completely dead though, so don't buy it if you want to play online.

Nickelodeon wanted a cash grab but the devs actually made a good game. I prefer NASB more than Smash Ultimate. The movement is so smooth and responsive. The mechanics in this game are easy to learn but hard to master.
