Players say it's a solid Mario Kart clone with nostalgic Nickelodeon characters. [1][2][3] Many complain about a game-breaking save data deletion bug that remains unfixed. [4][5][6] Some reviewers criticize the lack of graphics options and poor PC port. [7][8][9]

this is genuinely such a solid kart game but the fact that your save data always has a chance of resetting itself is an unforgivable bug

Nick Kart 2 is alright. It doesn't re-invent the genre but it does at least pack in the features you might come to expect from kart racers. It also packs in a healthy dose of nostalgia being jam packed with awesome characters from classic Nick cartoons. I enjoyed racing around the cartoon inspired tracks and you might too!

This is a game that surprised me. It's a lot better than I was expecting, being a licensed Kart Racer. I was expecting something a bit buggy and filled with microtransactions, as that is kind of par for the course with licensed games. There was a lot of potential to be bad, but instead this is a pretty solid racing game featuring a fair number of playable characters from various Nickelodeon properties. There's …

EDIT: There is a pretty big bug that causes your save data to get deleted/reset. Maybe just gotta make incremental backups of your save files before & after each session-- and disable Cloud Saves, in case that is what is causing the save deletion issue (I highly doubt it). I am disappointed that Bamtang Games apparently does not care enough to address the issue. This does not make the game any less fun to me, but it …

60 of 200 · most liked firstKAMGUSTA's REVIEW I know you want to know everything about the "Mario Karts" games on STEAM and how they compare. So here we go! GARFIELD Garfield Kart (2015). Avoid. The first of the franchise, bare-bones and without multiplayer. Poor gameplay. Garfield Kart - Furious Racing (2019). Good enough if really on budget. The remake, with multiplayer and proper joypad support. While it does not have anything fancy nor refined graphics and mechanics, it's a viable subpar clone of the classic Mario…

neutral · AI labelView post →The game launches at 480p. Cloud saves are non existent. There is no option to change resolution or graphics settings. Overall terrible job by the game developer. I have not seen such a horrible PC port ever. Unfortunately, the game on its own is fun, but the PC port is just broken and the fact that there is no cloud save hurts bad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not buy this game. It's 2025 and you still cannot change the resolution lmao Game's stuck at 360p and you literally have no Graphics or Display options On a PC game. Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun, very similar to Mario Kart. I like it better than Garfield. Fanatical had 3 games for $4.99, and this was one of them. Well worth it imo
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasted 11 hours beating medium dif grand prix, all challenges, all time trials, just for the game to delete my save. What an amazing bug and this game has been out for 2 years with no fix. Uninstalled.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I picked up Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix on Steam awhile back but never played it until this weekend. I know very little about Nickelodeon characters but it's a blast to play anyway. It has a level of depth you don't find in other kart racers. The tracks are good but honestly, the slime?
positive · AI labelView post →There's no Timmy Turner, but hey you can play as... Jojo Siwa.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GameMill Entertainment. That's all you need to know.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5 years ago today, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix was released for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
neutral · AI labelView post →Unbelievable to launch a game at the end of 2020 and not have the option to change the Resolution! I use a 1440p monitor, I have tried everything and the game insists on opening in 480p, the image is completely blurred, I doubt they will fix this crap. Sad because the game itself is good.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game 128: Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 (Slime Grand Prix) I liked this one, its fun, the racers are cool and there's fun references to SpongeBob, the power ups and support are nice too. I don't like how some tracks were repeats or felt too similar to others Either way 8/10
positive · AI labelView post →Cool kart game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very successful kart racer for the Steam Deck! I know some of these Mario Kart-like games with licensed characters and I have to say this is the best I've ever played. As I said, the game is very similar to Mario Kart. There are items that you can collect during the race to use against other drivers. Over time, you unlock more characters from the Nickelodeon universe, each with their own advantages and abilities, which I think can be compared to Super Mario Kart Double Dash. (Which is still…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It *is* a shame that the characters have no voices (not even a short clip when selecting them-- nothing!). Other than that, this is a competent arcade kart racer. Nothing that you haven't seen before, but certainly worthy of a purchase on sale. Made by the same folks as Riptide GP2 (which I can testify is highly enjoyable) and Beach Buggy Racing (which I can't, but seems to be popular)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought my sound was broke but theres just no character voices. Which is really weird since characters are the whole selling point. There are even animations where they seem like they should be saying something but dont. Its really weird and akward with all the dead air. Unfortunate as I wanted to play as Zim but its just not him without the voice. Refunded.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First off, this game is NOT worth full price. The complete and total lack of voice actors make it a $10 game at absolute most, but I'd recommend waiting for $5 or less. It's still fun, but it would be SO MUCH MORE fun if Raph yelled at the other racers or Zim cackled on the podium. The Challenge Mode provides a fun way to earn new racers and power-ups without just rewarding the player for doing something super repetitive; like after every couple of races or for getting first place online. I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is actually not that bad, but really do not want to be caught dead recommending a Nickelodeon or GameMill game, that is not at least great or better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I find the lack of voice acting...disturbing. But if you're like me; in your 40s and wistfulling remembering the days where life was all ahead of you, as opposed to lying in a smouldering heap, then this game might keep you from the edge of the abyss for a few more precious moments. I'm going to get the third when it's on sale. I must hear my boy say he's ready.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its alright, there are better games here on steam for kart racing however.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An evil copy of Mario Kart
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like others have mentioned, it's soulless. It have no voice lines, very simplistic controls, inconsistent map complexity, and nobody playing (lol).

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't know they still made IP shovelware like this. 5 years old but feels 20 years old. Clearly made by a team with a lot of care who actually kinda gave a ♥♥♥♥ about some of these franchises but zero budget. Kind of a joke compared to a Mario Kart, Sonic Racers or even the Free Disney Speedstorm. Controls take a bit of getting used to, a bit clunky. A lot going on, for better or for worse, lots of elements/moving parts. Can get a bit complicated for a kid to juggle but maybe that's part of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This isn't a good game, but for the price and novelty I would say it is fine. However, this game has a massive issue when it can randomly delete your save. Was just trying to get all the achievements and now I am back to square one. :steamsad:

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's something charming about this game. Sure, sometimes the controls are not as responsive as you'd like them to be, and NKR3 definitely feels like a more complete game, but to me NKR2 has the same feeling as your local pub. Maybe not the shiniest, maybe not the best, but honestly? it's good fun and a solid way to pass the time. There are a few reviews on here that say its a bit grind-y if you're trying to unlock crew members and kart parts, and that is true; but I don't think you need…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway" comes out this Halloween.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 is so hard to recommend because it's a licensed kart racer by a known shovelware developer (GameMill). Like it genuinely was the best kart racer on PS4 until Crossworlds came out but if someone in real life said that to you, you'd look at em like they're nuts!
neutral · AI labelView post →from the perspective of a completionist: Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix reminds me of Garfield Kart in the worst way possible. Well, at least this game isnt the buggy mess that Garfield Kart is. I dont understand how some games meant for kids have this disgustingly hard difficulty that leaves you to only HOPE you get lucky one race. The CPUs you play against will constantly have a projectile pocketed to ruin your 3 star runs, and even if you somehow dodge the projectiles with a shield or…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix, developed by Bamtang Games and published by GameMill Entertainment, is a surprisingly ambitious follow-up to the first entry in the series. It builds on the solid foundation of a family-friendly kart racer while making significant improvements in both content and gameplay depth. While it doesn’t quite reach the mechanical or polish levels of top-tier kart racing titles, it delivers enough fun, personality, and nostalgic charm to stand on its…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 isn’t a masterpiece, but it doesn’t need to be. It shines when played with friends — chaotic, silly, and full of “did-you-just-hit-me-with-that?!” moments. It’s not the next Mario Kart, and that’s perfectly fine. Pros: Super fun with friends. Lots of laughs guaranteed. Surprisingly better than the third game in almost every aspect. Cons: No character voices, which makes things feel a bit flat at times. Repetitive music that can get old quickly. It’s a pretty…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Jojo Siwa… you mean my favorite playable character from Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix? #CBBUK
neutral · AI labelView post →Recommended for fans of kart racers and Nick toons. The lack of any voices at all really detracts from it. However, there are a good variety of iconic characters and a range of tracks. The items are effectively the Mario Kart items just reskinned. Still, the addition of pit crew with abilities adds something unique and lets a ton of characters make cameos. I would also recommend Sonic Racing Transformed and Hot Wheels Unleashed. +Visuals, environments +Good handling and recovery +Variety…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cool kart racer at a reasonable price. Great offline multiplayer. Fluid action, easy learning curve, and various difficulties. I really recommend this for good family fun for Nicktoons fans. Unfortunately, good family fun is the ceiling at which I can recommend this. The game has heart built into it and a lot of the tracks are legit fun, but you'll be playing the CPU and achievement hunt exclusively, which gets old fast. Even the Mario Kart seires this is inspired with suffers this same…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's okay for a budget kart racer, but they are missing a lot of iconic Nickelodeon characters. The roster really doesn't make much sense.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →co op is fun . Good game to mess around with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While it draws 75% of its design from Mario, I really like the 25% it does itself. Everyone knows how Mario Kart plays... well this plays the same, except the rubber-banding is a bit less annoying. The cast of characters is really good, but where the game really stands out is that you put out a 4 player team for every race. A driver, a chief, and two engineers. The driver is obviously the stats for controlling the vehicle, but each vehicle is customisable with unlockable engines, exhausts,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It seemed to be a very good kart racer. I would actually say that it would be on my third place of kart racer, first being Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing and second the Mario Kart Series. BUT I CANNOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY THIS! As others already wrote, this game has a massive save game deletion problem! I actually did backups of my save files, but now it ALWAYS deletes my save after every game start. So inserting the backup save data doesn't work for me anymore, since it resets this as well.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is not that bad, its fun to play but theres a few things that bug me genuinely - no voice acting on any of the characters -why jojo siwa??? -you can get item spammed to oblivion cuz of no invulnerability frames. -driving over all feels clunky -wish there was a bit more uniqueness in the last cup its just 4 of the older tracks about to get all the achievements hence why i played more than 2 hours but theres other kart games to play besides this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite how it looks, it's actually quite decent. Gameplay is solid enough if a bit too stiff and the pit crew and kart customization options give the game some depth and strategy if you want there to be. It's got a wide selection of characters from all across Nickelodeon history with a few questionable omissions(No Fairly Oddparents or Jimmy Neutron reps) and blatant favoritism (Did we really need all four ninja turtles AND Shredder?) and Jojo Siwa....for some reason... The tracks are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a total piece of garbage. The Steam sync property erased all of my data and Steam's cloud can't seem to back it up. There is a fatal bug that erases all data from both the cloud and user data and it is irreversible. The developers know of this issue and just don't give a sh*t about fixing it so this pile of trash can disappear. Was trying to 100% but with all progress lost, there's no point in wasting any more time on this crappy offshoot of Mario Kart.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well... I was certainly not expecting a ball crushing challenge inside a kids game... This game is great if you are looking for a PC Kart game perfectly fine to use for a multiplayer session with friends or finishing race cups in coop and more. The models are nice looking the items to use in the tracks are pretty standard with the added twist that you can charge up one bigger skill (chief skill) by driving through slime and doing stuns and two passive skills (which recharge automatically)…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game wiped my save after like 6 hours completing the challenges and time trial, apparently this has been a known bug for the six years this game has been out for. edit: it happened again, i think that unlocking the slime exhaust after 21 time trials might be the issue, just use the confetti exhaust i guess, game still sucks tho
