Basically, its AI slop. AI has its place in game design, and this ain't it, chief. The combat loop is satisfying, the node-based progression works, and the price is fair. However, the heavy use of AI art is hard to ignore, and the game runs out of surprises faster than it should. After a few runs, you realize you’re mostly playing on muscle memory rather than curiosity. Still, it’s a fun project with clear potential and hopefully a learning step toward something bolder next time.

I like the mix of roguelite and survivor genre. The art and boardgame token style is charming. But the game doesn't feel 'fun'. It needs more tuning to play better. The weapon upgrades and power-ups don't feel impactful. It feels like you need 6-7+ levels in any kind of weapon size, cooldown, damage, ability upgrade, for it to 'feel' like it's getting powerful, hence the growth curve is way too slow. Damage numbers, particularly 'big' numbers like crits don't pop out so all the damage feels…

Dear devs, let the big mommy milkers companion vampire step on me. In all seriousness, this plays like a Hades-lite with VS elements. [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/BAEuro/recommended/3275010?snr=1_5_9__402]Beware, however, the developers abandoned their prior title ‘Rogue Loops’ - A good game, but it certainly needed more time in the oven before 1.0. Steam should make a rule that if you haven't played 10-20 hours of a game, you're NOT allowed to leave a review, because it feels like people are rushing to buy a game, run it, just to negatively review it and then refund it (you can refund a game if you've played under 2 hours of it). Positives: +Fun as hell (especially if you've never played any survivor-like games, including Vampire Survivor) +Art style & game concept (though not original) is so good +Price point is good - Props to Mad…

First game I've refunded in a while, mainly because it runs horribly on Steam Deck, is not optimised whatsoever and the text is basically so small it's unreadable. The devs have not thought about SD here at all. On top of that, there's no way to simply back out to the main menu or adjust settings in game (which I needed to do due to resolution issues and terrible frame rate). There's also zero practical graphics settings. Throw in the fact that this is "1.0" and NOT "early access", the terrible…

I had failed to notice (way way down on the Steam page) the "AI disclosure" for Night Swarm that they use AI-generated voiceovers in the game. Disappointing as the game is fun and many games of its type don't use voiceovers at all or hire voice actors. And if they use AI for that, then what else?

It is serviceable but playing this just made frustrated over the bizarre choices. - Progression is terrible as you either play on a normal difficulty facing no obstacles or just bloated difficulty of making enemies 7x tougher. - There is no real route, and you end of playing slight variables of the same type of map over and over. - Unless you play as Roderic, you get no dialogue for the other characters from npcs or boss fights. The only real difference between them is their dash making…

If this was in early access it would be promising, but it's not. it's a full release, and the cherry on top is, AI, a lot of AI, it was hard for me to notice at first, but as son as i saw the item icons, i noticed Ai, and from there everything went downhill. There's Text to speech in some parts i think, if it isn't, then it's just AI Maybe in the future the devs might patch it, but for now, it…

AI garbage with nothing new brought to the genre. Its not even a bullet hell. The quirk that it is tabletop minis feels lazy, like they couldn't be bothered to engineer real models with full motion. Also the game doesn't pause for cut screens, so you can die during them. I had it happen to the very first cut screen loading into the first run. There is no tutorial to show you mechanics/items/systems work, it just assumes you know how these games work.

Another survivors-like game with puddle deep progression. Where the fun runs out a little too quickly, long before you've cleared every map 3 times (normal, hell, nightmare difficulties), but there's really no point in doing the extras difficulties besides the achievement grind. Currently the devs are randomly adding sinks to use all the extra resources, but it's not making the game more fun just giving you a place to dump stuff for piddly 0.5% - 1% upgrades. There's no variation to runs, the…

The fidelity is consistent and vibrant, the art style is perfect for this type of game. Doesn't ask too much and over-delivers on what it promised. 2. The music is incredible. Pros: - Original concept of Vampire Survivors-like game (fast paced battles, rogur-lite map, base building, etc.). - Pretty good graphics (table game concept is a pro for me, too). - Many weapons and their evolutions, many artifacts and temporary buffs. - We can manage what weapons and skills we can encaounter. - 4 biomes, 3 levels each, 3 difficulty levels each. Cons: - The last 3 bosses of the 4th biome seem unfinished? Well, it's actually one and the same boss with two phases. And judging…

There are bizarre glaring bugs despite the frequent updates, like sliders in the settings menu don't do what you're expecting them to, or your controls freeze for half a second before a companion uses an ability. The graphics are detailed in some places and then muddy and disjointed in others, with the colours in the actual levels being less dark and gothic and more neon vomit. Needs a lot more work to become a decent rogue-like. Items and skills seem very unbalanced. There's a weird soft level cap around 150, numbers go up but you can no longer select passives to upgrade. Can't interact with passive totems either after this point. Stats need to show how much damage each weapon does and how it's calculated.

There are a lot of bullet-hell games around right now, but considering the last one I played (Halls of Torment) I can definitely say that I prefer this one. I’d love to send you the final level playthrough, but I’m having issues with my rig :( The first thing is that each level is only a couple of minutes long. First the good: The art direction/style is good, you can't go wrong with propper vampires. Bonus points for voice acting. You can nudge the runs so that you don't constantly get stuff you don't run, you can pre-ban powers, banish mid run if you don't want more speed or something, and you can reroll, the classic roguelite fixing the drop pool. The best part of the art style is how every character is a "board game" character. It doesn't seem like it should be there. The power-ups are okay at best. I don't feel like I'm controlling the fighting; instead, I'm just moving this token around, avoiding monsters, and my power-ups do their own thing. and again with the token characters while I'm in battle. Most of the game assets are generated with AI, so they game doesn't really have a consistent art style or theme which honestly does a lot of harm for a game where it's all visuals. Because you can point out what assets were made realistically, and what was thrown into Gen AI. Dialogue is also dull, and I suspect the story and script was also Generated. The game itself is also dull, once you get certain skills you don't really have to do much, and it gets very repetitive. I finished the game…

I have no proof other then gut feelings and how the stuff looks. but it's really off how some art is focused and to the point well others look really cluttered and almost rendered differently. if it is made with AI that really should be stated on the page. it also puts the full game into question. Fun game at a decent price but the devs rushed this. Lots of broken progression parts of the game that the devs knew about before it fully launched. They also nerfed things quite a bit to your character which now upgrading items doesn't respect your time as the upgrades feel almost impact-less. I would give it a thumb sideways if I could but I will thumb downs for now since I know they pushed out a buggy product.

-Refunded- Firstly, I recommend it for the price, it's a great price point and the quailty of the graphics, sounds and music are all really good... top notch honestly. My issues with this game; Dashing causes noticeble vsync-like stuttering, with Vsync on or off, it still does it. The character model resembles a "minature" meaning it has a base it stands on. While you can mostly ignore it, it makes it hard to see some small ground effects. If there was an option to turn that off, I would…

The first area works fine but the second area boss crashed my game in the loading screen and required a re-fight twice and now that I'm in the 3rd area (with the freezing mechanic) the game crashes on nearly every loading screen at 89% and sets me back 2-3 stages. Fully unplayable. Too bad it took long than 2 hours to find out the game is an awful mess. Avoid, even on sale.

This game has a much higher quality than its price point suggests. From music to gameplay, it keeps you ticking along without any stress.

Sadly I cannot recommend this game. There are some fun elements to it and it runs fine but just progression in completely imbalanced. After unlocking the first two levels your are stuck there and forced to GRIND for hours and hours as the second level of difficulty is nearly impossible without unlocking a significant amount of the progression tree. This makes the game very boring and repetitive which is completely unnecessary, you either play the impossible difficulty or play the normal…

I feel like this game has gotten some unnecessary backlash. Personally, I am a fan, although even I can admit the limitations. First I'd like to start by saying I appreciate the attempt at a story, with voice acting and genuinely cool graphic design. These features really elevate the game. The roguelike weapon combinations are pretty cool, even though for the most part it's pretty formulaic. I have a lot of fun playing this game, and it certainly feels well rounded in many respects. Now for…

Played for 10 hours and enjoyed myself so far. Game was only $8.50. 10 hours of fun for $8.50 felt worth it. Definitely recommend. I can honestly see myself enjoying another 90 hours of game play. Feels like a game I'd like to complete 100%.

Very fun game, hard to stop playing lol. Devs plan on adding more starting characters so hopefully a female vamp soon, otherwise playing as Roderic is enjoyable. Gear progression and skill perking are sweet, even has some simple base building and follower gameplay.

The game has bugs and feels unfinished. And this isn't early access, it's a full release. The AI voice acting doesn't bring the characters to life, but rather takes it away. I don't know, the only plus is the activity on the map, everything else seems poor quality/lazy.

So i played about 30 bullet-hell games. This one isnt it so far. The progression is really grindy, most of the new weapons just feel meh and useless, there are even weapons with no combination at all, which feels even worse to unlock. also i dont see the connection to Hades. it simply isnt there. A bullet-hell with connections to Hades is something like Death Must Die.

The game was alright, kinda short. The end game felt a little undercooked. Had to turn off the audio, the writing is bad and the voice over is in slow motion. like they had to point at the words as they read the script.

This game is great. Almost didn't give it a chance due to the character design being that of a gameboard piece. It has a likeness to vampire survivors but adds levels and missions. It has a home base that you level up with several interesting characters, much like the underworld of Hades. Works well on steam deck with no noticeable issues during my time on it. Around 2 hours.

This is a steal of a game. Sure, it's a bit too easy, but there is a LOT of content for $10 USD, and I can see this game being expanded for a long, long time. I'd love to see a proper rebalance one day, to make it feel a bit more (FAIRLY) difficult, but what's here is way better than I was expecting for the price point. I'll be playing and watching this game continue to grow, for sure!
