Players find PHOGS! a charming and fun co-op game, especially for families and couples. [1][2][3] Many reviewers note that the game suffers from bugs and glitches, particularly in online multiplayer. [4][5][6] Some players feel the game is overpriced for its length and lacks challenge for adults. [7][8][9]

Phogs is one of the games that you see recommended when you search for good split-screen co-op game. And it is a trap as someone in reviews said - you get baited by cute graphics, dogs in hats and co-op. First of all this game is horrendously expensive for the experience it gives - I would absolutely NEVER buy it without discount. It is bugged. Bugged. BUGGED. Worms stuck you, you get stuck in textures, you get …

I played this game with my daughter in 2023 when she was about 6 years old. It has stuck with us - I would roll her and her brother up in a blanket with their heads sticking out and they would say they are Phogs.

This is a brilliant couch co-op game, but do not buy it for the online multiplayer, the netcode is way too jittery for a game that relies entirely on physics. Controlling a two-headed dog to stretch, grab objects, and pull each other across gaps leads to some hilarious couch moments. It can definitely get frustrating when the physics engine clips your snout into a wall, but it’s packed with charm if you have a …

First game we've ever beaten together with my kid, perfect to play in coop with children. A lot of humor, tons of surprising mechanics, puzzles are varied and quite straightforward, fantastic ending. Execution requirements are quite low, one player usually can kick back and relax, which is great for novice gamers.

I really like this game c: Is it simple? Yes, the puzzles are not really challenging for grown ups but it's a game made for children so i wouldn't expect otherwise. It can get a little annoying sometimes but it's not such big of a deal if you play with a friend i guess. Also i never really run into any serious bugs so i don't have anything to say about those. It's a fun, silly little game with pleasant audio, cute …

Critics, per Wikipedia
Phogs! received generally favorable reviews, according to review aggregator Metacritic. Fellow review aggregator OpenCritic assessed that the game received strong approval, being recommended by 70% of critics. Push Square's Stephen Tailby praised the accessibility and "neat" puzzles, but criticized the lack of challenge and the length of the game. Gamezebo's Maria Alexander praised the controls and presentation, but felt that it could be "a bit twee for some". Alexander recommended the game for everyone,…

I don't know if there is some sort of subconscious psychological warfare hidden behind this innocent looking game, but in the 20 years of playing videogames, no game has ever made me this sleepy this fast. I recommend this game highly if you have insomnia.

Each of the three worlds to visit consists of themed levels and a boss level. With extra collectibles and cute lil creatures to find this co-op is a must play.
positive · AI labelView post →Thank you to @curatorgeoff.bsky.social and the National Museum of Scotland team for sending us this awesome memento from the Game On exhibition, it was so much fun to be a part of it :)! and the pixel art Phogs are so cute 🎮🕹️

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game to play with your significant other on a lazy night on a couch in front of the TV. Funny magic doggos with cute storytelling. We hope that there will be a DLC or Phogs 2. If your girlfriend is not used to gaming, then worry not, the controls are very beginner friendly. Even during the final boss levels, the game lets you take it at your own pace, no stress.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh! Have you ever heard of Phogs? You know what game where you play a 2 headed dog? I have no idea what the game feels like single player, but with a friend it is some lovely chaos!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(offline Steam playtime is not accurately logged) Probably well over 10 hours playtime currently. My daughter is 6 and this is one of her favorite games to play split screen co op with her dad. We've completed all the different areas and beat the final boss, still working on collecting all the bones though. Good game, decent puzzles. We did run into a few bugs that forced us to reset the entire level but not so common it ruined the experience. It would be nice if in addition to a respawn…

neutral · AI labelView post →Cute game that's fun to play in co-op. Can't actually recommend it, however, as the online completely broke in the last few levels we played: camera stops moving, someone's unable to control their character, characters and items flying off screen that makes progressing impossible, etc. etc. We had to replay multiple sections and ended up having to finish it in remote play because we couldn't progress otherwise. Even before that we had issues where certain things were just not visible for the…

positive · AI labelView post →Me and my love @chuuna-moe.bsky.social finished Phogs! tonight 💕 Such a fun game, and one we may go back to so we can get all the collectibles We loved eating everything in sight, especially the blueberries
positive · AI labelView post →Its a fun and cute little co-op game. The physics and netcode in online co-op can are a bit janky which can be frustrating at times. The game comes up with new and inventive puzzles and stuff to do, but it does feel overly long and repetitive at times, especially in the first section with watering plants. There are better co-op games but this has some cool visuals and unique ideas. Biped is a better game though. 7.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pricetag is a bit heavy for a ~10 Hour game. Had fun but buy it on sale.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great for date nights. 2 hrs may not seem like much but we did complete quite a bit of content. looking forward to playing more
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game should be like 4 hours long. The puzzles are the same but different skin. Would Pass unless youre playing with a child.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute and creative game, but I can see the scotch tape holding it together most of the time. Funny game with friend if you pick it up on a sale, but I don't think its worth the full price for a game with so many glitches and bugs, I am just not allowed to get emersed and am often trying to figure out the puzzle of how to get off the pause screen after picking up a collectable harder than a actual puzzle in the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to like Phogs! The cute art style, the potentially silly gameplay. However, although the world is vibrant. The puzzles were somewhat bland and there is no story to drive me to continue completing the puzzles. The difficulty is more in controlling the phogs with your friend on the couch - and not from the puzzles themselves. The soundtrack was also pretty medium as well (although this is more subjective). Phogs doesn't do anything horribly wrong, but doesn't excel at anything…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i loved the demo, but im going to refund the full game i think i should buy this for my future children mouth wide open gameplay for adults
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too many bugs to count. Most puzzles revolve around achieving your objective within a given time, but that ends up throwing the characters through the entire map 30% of the time. Didn't manage to get through the entire sleeping hub without refunding out of annoyance.

neutral · AI labelView post →played the whole thing alone and had lots of fun, would occasionally clip through things and get stuck, but the respawn feature was very helpful. character designs and all those lovely little worlds reminded me of how childhood games used to look/feel like, colourful and heartfelt. loved that npcs can pet you, so so cute.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun co op game to play with girlfriend. A few bugs. Worth it on sale.

positive · AI labelView post →Several bugs that have you restart sections and levels, no story at all and the gameplay is very very slow to the point where it gets boring. The fact that barely anyone got the achievements you get when defeating the section "bosses" towards the end of the game tells you that no one had actually finished this game it seems.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →do not be tricked by the cute graphics, this is semi-unplayable. my blood pressure skyrockets the moment i launch this game. it's like a regular co-op game but the entire time you're fighting the other player to do basic things like traverse the level selection, which is surprisingly not enjoyable what the phog....

neutral · AI labelView post →I recommend the game but I feel it's because of circumstances that other players might not have. I played through with a second person. It was much more fun playing only one of the two dog heads, and I feel that was the intended experience. The few times I had to take control of both dogs were very frustrating and not as intuitive as you would think. It is not a one-player game. The game was quite buggy, sometimes needing a re-spawn to fix. Though this is part of the charm of the game to…

neutral · AI labelView post →There are some bugs that are mildly annoying, but nothing that stopped me from playing. Usually a quick restart of the game and we'd be good. The checkpoints are fairly forgiving, so you don't lose too much progress if you need to re-launch the game to fix something. The puzzles are fairly simple but they keep your interest. There is some dexterity needed for some of the challenges. All in all the gameplay is enjoyable and it's accompanied by a very relaxing general tone and adorable world…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →incredible co-op game, graphics are very soft and nice. i believe this would be one of those 'feel good' games. takes around 8-12 hours. every level follows the theme for it's world well while still being unique with great puzzles each 3 worlds can be tackled in any way overall like an 8/10 couch co-op game. communicating with the other player, if any, where you would like to go is not crucial but does help but can feel exhausting for a singleplayer experience, it plays like that…

neutral · AI labelView post →I wouldn't recommend this game if you play online. We would run into latency issues (for example, some hats would be available on my screen but would not be available at all on the other screen, objects in different positions). The tipping point was when he lost connection and I had to control the whole segment by myself. The gameplay is not sophisticated enough to justify the tedium.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a very nice puzzle-platform game to play co-op with your friend(s). you will explore 3 different worlds: each of them is divided in 6 levels + 1 in where you'll face the boss of that world; there are 40+ hats you can unlock by completing levels and by buying them with in-game bones in order to customize your dog. idk if it was due to my home internet connection or not but sadly some levels were pretty bugged/slowed and the only way to reset them was to reload the whole thing from the…
