SLUDGE LIFE 2
Developer Terri Vellmann, Doseone
SLUDGE LIFE 2 is the grimiest first-person vandalism sim since the first SLUDGE LIFE—but, like, twice as dense. Explore a huger, weirder, gnarlier open world loaded with secrets, weirdos, jokes, and, of course, plenty of spots to tag. From the Steam store page

Players praise the game's unique atmosphere, music, and humor. [1][2][3] Some feel it's too similar to the first game and could have been DLC. [4][5][6] A few reviewers note technical issues like a bugged achievement. [7][8]

This is my utopia, not the post WWII, space orientated, Jetsons utopia, But an anti-hustle/slacker meets the underground hip hop culture utopia - where everyone ditches corporate metrics for chilling, painting, doing the minimum at work and appreciating music. oh and smokes cigs, lots of cigs. Don't get me wrong, more Sludge Life is great, but this had no business being a second game. It looks and plays the exact same, from the menus to the number of tag spots. It could have easily been some sort of DLC, like a new map with new spots to bomb. It's still good, but doesn't do anything that game changing to warrant a completely separate game. If you were content with how much content the first game had, …

Sludge Life 2 is a great sequel to the first game, providing the same gross, polluted, and genuine atmosphere as the first game but with some meaningful improvements that make it better than the first. The music is very solid once again, with more "MOOD MUSIC" tracks from "Sad Boy," and three new tracks from the rapper "Big Mud". The biggest improvements in SL2 were the expanded movement options, and more of a …

This game and its predecessor are extremely good exploration focused platformers. There’s little in the way of direction or objectives, the true enjoyment is in just finding weird funny thing after weird funny thing. The writing is also genuinely hilarious, I wanted to hear what every npc had to say. 2 adds more movement items which make finding everything more fun than 1 but I’d recommend playing them both in …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Man, if we’re going to get a new SLUDGE LIFE every time Terri gets high, I’m down. It’s pretty much the same game as its predecessor, but it offers more stuff and quality-of-life upgrades, such as photography and sprinting. You still have to find the “To Do List” to activate the achievements, but the “APP LOVING” achievement is bugged. You need to trigger the “WARP TECH” for it to initiate as well. It’s definitely bigger, but to me, it felt somehow shorter and not as big as the first one.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly this is the only genre of game i like, theres so much to see, so many characters to talk to, and i love the added double jump, makes tagging easier
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the sequel to a game that changed my life, this one's just as good! I draw on public property now! I tried jaywalking the other day and man the rush I felt was amazing. Next I think I'm gonna go down the dark alleyway in my town known as "the doob toob" and smoke whatever I find on the ground!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really looking forward to playing Sludge Life 2, but it left me a bit disappointed. Now I don't think this is a bad game, it's just not a good sequel. It keeps what makes the first one so good, mainly the artstyle, humor and absurd situations. But this is not new anymore, so it's not as impactful by itself. When it comes to exploring the world, it felt way simpler than the first one. That "figuring out how to get there" part completely disappears. There aren't that many new items, and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Calling this series a hidden gen is an understatement. Sludge life 1, 1,5 and 2 is great games. They don’t offer a AAA story or mechanics, but it gives you everything else. I have nothing bad to say about this masterpiece. 5-10 hours of fun. 10/10 ⭐️
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great sequel that continues the unique and weird world of Sludge Life. I loved everything about the game, most of all the strange characters and environments.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember how big of an issue this was and how because we didn't have a R18+ rating back then. But even now some games still get banned Sludge Life is a recent ban and is still but Sludge Life 2 is not gamerant.com/sludge-life-...

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game and an improvement on the first game. It does a good job of adding new things to the world while moving things forward as characters have changed, evolved, or (mio dios) gone corporate. The game still has good humor and jokes, it got some real laughs out of me, like the poor bastard that had his luggage trolley overturn on the stairs and is sitting in the wreckage, trying to enter his happy place. Give the guy a cigarette please. It has the same style as before but one thing that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's Sludge Life, but with more things to do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As fun and ridiculous as the first game, I love the ease of play and finding all the tag spots. Not to mention the unhinged little easter eggs~ Fun game to unwind to if you're tired of your own life in the sludge.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Who needs drugs when you have this game? 10/10, what a vibe! <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Same feeling as the first, pretty decent jokes as well i think overall the first game is better but that's only marginally.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dude, it got only better from the first game. Everything you loved in the first one from the aesthetic and gameplay all the way to the music, it AMP'ed it up by 5x times with a new story, map and so many more funny interactions that just makes it feel so alive and surreal. Smoke a ciggy with vitamins this time (made for kids) & bubble up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is grimy ass vibe and I’m oozing in it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game I played the first Sludge Punk and this one is just like it but with some cooler stuff! 11/10 it's one of those games that is shorter but really leaves a good taste in your mouth at least for me it is some peak!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/bodomi/recommended/1144770]See my review of the first game, it's applicable here as well. You might ask, why the hell did you buy the sequel if that is your review of the first game? I bought the bundle for both games during a Steam sale. That's why. I really liked the art-style, gave me Jazzpunk-y vibes but with its own original style, was hoping to be met by an enjoyable & bizarre narrative/story and enjoyable gameplay with the great art to complement it.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved it from start to end in one sitting, especially from such a lovable franchise as Sludge Life is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it just got sludgier
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i love ciggy so much
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was scared of buying this game as I thought that it won't be as good at the first one and I'll be disapointed, but this is one of the few games where the second game is as good as the first one. I love how even tho it's another game, it still keeps everything that makes Sludge Life Sludge Life. Also, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love Ghost's friendship with Mud. Idk if it surprised me in a pleasant way because I haven't played the first game in a long while or because they weren't this close in the last game,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got the first game as a xmas gift and liked it sm I hurried to get the second game myself
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An excellent sequel to an excellent game and universe. Very fun and very chill. This game picks up where the first game left off and does it even better. Quality of life improvements (JJ's are needed in the 1st one!), achievements are much better, cool story, and another banger catalogue of songs from doseone. Just play it, you won't regret it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Weird as hell in the best possible way. If you dig vibey games with great art direction, both this and the first game are definitely worth checking out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Total nonsense game. But a fun game, and that's the point of a game right?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →spread your art in a grimy satire of the modern world. if you enjoyed the first one, this is a even larger world to explore and tag. its fun to 100%

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely loved this game! So much loved put into a game! So many nods to other games I deeply love as well! Just overall a great time if you enjoyed the first one!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's more SLUDGE LIFE, of course it's good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the kinda game that makes all the other devs jealous.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4. Sludge Life 2. I loved the first game. One of the top get-high-and-dick-around games of all time. Just taking pictures, tagging walls, and peeing on stuff. The sequel is more of that, I assume. 4/20 is coming up tho....maybe I make time for it
positive · AI labelView post →Fantastic sequel that's an overall improvement on the first game. A pleasant experience due to good accessibility options and how forgiving the platforming is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Peep is the best bird
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a sequel worthy of the first game that actually surpasses it. one of the most overwhelming and fun games to explore. a whole, incredibly stupid and trippy universe.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is cool and chill love the life style and vibe of this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's nice to finally see some pro-smoking titles in this day and age
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cigs for kids, now with added vitamins peak
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A known experience and loved it as much as the first one, i recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The sequel to one of my favorite indie games ever made. How does it hold up? SLUDGE LIFE 2 is still an INCREDIBLY fun walking simulator where you go around NOT ONLY the entire first game's map, but a whole additional city attached to it. Life moves on, meet new taggers, tag more stuff, do more goofy ♥♥♥♥. It's another amazing game. +Graphics, music, writing, EVERYTHING is still amazing +More to do and see which is always a bonus +I like that it had a bit more of a story with finding what…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically just more of the first one with a few new features to spice up gameplay and another cool story told with wacky and weird ♥♥♥♥ happening around every corner, has a real charm to it and would be down to play a third if the devs ever make one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having absolutely loved Sludge Life 1, I was really hoping this one would at least be just as good. Somehow they managed to take everything I loved in the first game and made it better. Here's hoping for 3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sludge Life and Sludge Life 2 are both on the Quest Log. They're first person exploration games with a unique sense of style and personality.
neutral · AI labelView post →Sludge Life rules
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it is most definitely not worth full price, glad I got it on sale. I completed everything and beat the gatomog game. If you got it for free or for sale for like 1-6 dollars then its worth to play and its really fun otherwise anymore money than that is not worth it lol. Idk if they are farming money with this game with that unreal price tag or what.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →sludge life 2 in my opinion IS an improvement on the first game, but it introduces new problems like all sequels inevitably do. first off the story is enormously better, moving from being a tagger in a town where the system has you down to tagging along with your friend who's gotten out of the hood but the fame has gotten to his head, and in the background there's an entire side plot, by no means is the story some sort of epic or anything, but its charming and surprisingly realistic despite…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AMAZING game like the first one and I really enjoy both very much but the only thing that needs to be fix is that the mouse cursor sometimes goes to the second screen even if I have full screen and the only way to quickly fix it for a while is to pause the game, so it would be wounderful if it got fix. : )
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crazy, weird, lovely game about just exploring and finding stuff. Great to relax to. Personally, didn't do it for me as much as the first one, but that could have been due to some expectations, whilst the first game was pure surprise. Still great though. Had a blast.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very enjoyable with a unique atmosphere. Use some nice headphones.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really good continuation of the first one (and the interlude)! Looking forward to seeing what these guys cook up next! Cig Click 4 Life!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and rewarding exploration with little guidance and max vibes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you liked the first Sludge Life, you will certainly enjoy this one. The options for traversal are way better than the previous game in my opinion, and that weird cozy yet grimy atmosphere is more than on point. Biggest gripe is that it felt a bit shorter than the first game, so keep that in mind if you wanna give it a go.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →would happily play sludge life likes for the rest of my life. Killer atmosphere, fun aesthetic, great tunes
