Technologically flawed Picross game with an adventure that as more of an intrusion between actual puzzle solving. The story is so silly it's clearly for kids but if you didn't play their other game you'd have to sit through an info dump that a child probably won't grasp. And the controls are heavily biased towards controllers or keyboards, with mouse support being shoddy. - You actually cannot even complete the …

ah this game is addictive. took seven days thereabouts for me to play twenty three hours to get to 100% and tbh i never got bored despite all the walking and the funky story wrapper. yeah some of the later puzzles stumped me but i just walked off for a bit to do something else and when i came back i managed just fine, which is how puzzle games really should be. this is a fun one, absolutely recommend if you like …

This is an excellent picross / nonogram game. The basic scenario is - lots of things in your neighbourhood have been turned into puzzles, so you need to wander about and solve each one to restore that thing. Most are items, but a few are people. This theming of puzzles to the character's immediate vicinity is quite enjoyable, because it's more fun to save the world than just solve a list of puzzles. It's a very …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's sad to see so many nonogram games with bad UI/UX, considering it is the one thing they actually need to do well. Definitely not the worst, but not good either. The story framing the puzzles might be cute for kids but otherwise feels like padding. The retro easter egg is cool though.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is easily one of my top two fav puzzle games. i love this game so so much, it helps me relax when im stressed or when i need a distraction. it has helped me thru some rough nights bcuz i can fully immerse myself without having to think too much. i play this on steam deck & it runs smoothly with the controls + trackpad. i love the cute pixel art & i love how u can customize the in-game puzzle theme to pink. ive spent hours playing & im still only halfway through the map. im going to be sad…

neutral · AI labelView post →Overall a fun picross adventure game, but the cons are far too many to recommend this game at $10. On sale though is fine Pros: * Good picross puzzles * Open world * Level system is nice to keep you on track * Good comedy Cons: * No volume slider, only a toggle for music and sound effects * Sound effect toggle does not mute the "puzzle complete" sound * When fullscreen, you cannot click to mark the left column, you MUST use the space bar * Movement can be slidey when walking into a wall *…

You also learn to do very simple maths... Unless you just want to click everywhere and it'll just "Auto-Correct" it all... >..> Yes, they have that too... The game performed as intended and soon all I saw were numbers. But amidst all of those, I realized one thing: I gained another skill... Of how to play nonograms. I can't say I am an expert…

The game looks ace, absolutely wishlist it if you like #hanjie #お絵かきロジック #イラストロジック !

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Massive fan of the whole Piczle Line series! Love the style, story and puzzles, amazing as always! 10/10! I do really hope they have Steam Deck support one day though, id love to be able to play this on it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The question is asked: Does bogging the puzzles down with a narrative really help the experience? Yes. Yes it does. When I leveled up to Lvl 10 and unlocked the ability to Whistle In Tune, I felt a sense of achievement that only my ancestors, bathing in the blood of a freshly killed mammoth, could relate to. I felt alive.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Always SO nice to read reviews from people who *really* gel with my games. In this case Piczle Cross Adventure, store.steampowered.com/app/1215320/... , "...a game richly deserving of praise" and "... a must-have choice." 🥰 #nonogram #hanjie #logicpuzzle #piczle
positive · AI labelView post →i think this game does not know to who it is targeted for, for people that don't know nonograms or have no intreste in them it is tiresome, since there is little gameplay outside of the puzzles, to people that like nonograms the lack of tools makes the puzzle solving longer than it needs to be. if you like solving puzzles there is more fun to be had on solving them on a place dedicated to it where the process is more fluid.

neutral · AI labelView post →Piczle Cross Adventure is an RPG puzzle game filled with over 300+ picross puzzles. I like that they made it into an RPG and you can't access certain areas until your level is higher. The game is relatively simple and I had fun just going around and solving puzzles at my own pace. Recommended for picross lovers!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i love nanogram puzzles, so i got this game and i love it! I love that it had a story and hope more nanogram games get made like this one. Overall it seems like the dev put a lot of time and care in to this game, i 100% recommend this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Developer will *perma* ban you from their game hubs for asking about fixing a bug. Game is "mid".
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool style, addictive gameplay, fun to 100%. Some nitpicks, though: * Sounds are not adjustable (only mutable) - music is pretty good, but a bit too loud. * The Splashscreen and Title animation cannot be skipped - they're fine, but it's unnecessary waiting imo. * Whenever I started the game, Steam VR would also start for some reason. It doesn't do anything and can just be closed, but it's annoying to do so. I could not fix this with the "-novr" launch option, either.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoy Picross games, it's chock full of them. There's a bit of a reducto-ad-absurdium story to play through, as well. The MC is silly and likeable. The closest thing I could point to as a downside is that the UI can be a tiny bit wonky at times. But forgivably so. It never breaks the game or anything. How the game works and how you play it is very much tweakable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good nonograms/pixcross puzzles. A few tough ones to stump you for a minute or two. Nice secret to find after the end of the main story. Great retro style. You can pet the dogs!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Random email from a Piczle Cross Adventure player telling me they really enjoyed the game... This is a good start to my Friday!
positive · AI labelView post →Solid game, done in round 25 hours and you get a nice amount to do as well, the story is alright and exploring is not hard but rewarding.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love nonograms and I loved this game. I didn't really care much for or pay much attention to the story, but the visuals are appealing and made a fun little wrapper for the nonograms. The completionist in me is satisfied!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →JESUS CHRIST THIS GAME IS A CHORE.30hrs in, I'm around 60%+ complete (or something like that) and for the last 10hrs I was constantly wondering if I should just stop - while mindlessly solving with no joy. There's really no reason for this game to be this long - and it's mostly 15x15 puzzles, all day and all night. You can't even progress and skip too many of them, because you have fake level gating. Unless you're a picross fanatic do yourself a favour and just skip this, don't waste your life.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adorable picross/nonogram game! I very much enjoyed my time with it. The nonograms aren't particularly difficult, but they are quite fun to solve. Also includes accessibility features (clue roulette/auto-correct mistakes), but true 100% requires ignoring those features. True 100% took me around 13 hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very solid picross game! Even if the puzzle controls do need a little getting used to, they are still quite good compared to other games. Has way more content than I initially anticipated, so it is definitely a steal for the sale price!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not too difficult, but good for nearly 30 hours of puzzles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've only now unlocked 50% of the map. This game is highly addictive!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game **IS** Steam Deck Compatible 100%!!!! Played from start to finish without a single glitch. Fun, not too hard puzzles. The story mechanics are fun, even with a few light minigames tossed in. Cool retro music and vibe. Highly recommended!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has no cloud support. Stupid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like Picross, this is a pretty good game. The soundtrack, while a bit repetitive, is pretty good and most of the puzzles walk the fine line between challenging and logical. You traverse an overworld, solving puzzles to bring objects back to reality. The story is meh, but obviously not a centerpoint. If you like finding secrets and solving picross puzzles, this is the game for you. My only gripe is the length: it took me about 24 hours to finish the game, mostly because most of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun Picross game but having no cloud saves has lost me 12 hours of progress after my SSD died
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another sacrifice to my endless nonogram addiction
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Concept is great, but ran into a number of bugs which necessitated the need to go into Task Manager to force close the game. Hope they fix it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun variation on picross, with just enough plot to keep things interesting! I really liked all the customization options. My only real gripe is that the game has several typos in English and could use some proofreading.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are epileptic make sure to go into options and turn off the flashing as soon as you start the game. Good puzzles, decent/not-annoying story, and an adventure aspect which provides a challenge as you have to hunt for pathways forwards and secret puzzles. I wish you could lock the cursor in line when click+dragging, but that's the only downside to this game for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It does a great job at what it sets out to do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Piczle Cross Adventure is an endearing pixel-art game where you solve nonogram puzzles to restore things back the way they were. This one is by Score Studios LLC, and the game can be found here: store.steampowered.com/app/1215320/...

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Theres fishing and dog petting in my picross game Score studios is quickly becoming a fast favourite group of mine for games. I bought another during a sale, with this one for extremely cheap. To my surprise, this one followed right on from the last game (though you don't have to play that one to understand or follow along with the story) My hours aren't helpful as Im not an active picross player, I enjoy them- but struggle, so it took me a little longer to make my way through it with…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun picross game with an over-the-top silly story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →as a picross addict, the premise of a picross game with a story and some RPG elements definitely piqued my curiosity, and TL;DR- i don't regret it one bit. with it's retro-style colorful graphics, super silly story, quirky characters and awesome (!!!) sense of humor- this game is simply a joy to play. finding all the secrets and getting 100% was very fun and rewarding too. while part of me does wish the puzzles scaled up in difficulty a bit more (see aforementioned 'picross addict' diagnosis),…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun collection of nonogram puzzles linked together with a tiny story and some adventure game elements (unlocking new map areas, finding hidden coins, etc.). I enjoy nonograms, and there are some very good / tricky ones in this game! I did not use it, but the built in help (cheat) system is nice for people who want to play the game casually and not spend the time on a puzzle they are stuck on.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a pretty charming, retro themed, nonogram puzzling game! The puzzles weren't very challenging, but it was fun running around this geographically confusing town to find and solve them. The game's pretty goofy and lighthearted which lends well to the vibe of the game. I especially liked reading the level up splash screens. I didn't notice any bugs, myself, but it felt a bit jarring to be frozen in place after completing a puzzle to allow the object to pixelate back into existence and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are hints and the puzzles themselves are easy. If this is your first time trying a puzzle like this, this may be all you need. Otherwise, it would be unsatisfactory.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Piczle Cross Adventure is more or less a sequel to Piczle Lines, which is also available on Steam. However, rather than just connecting dots with specific lengths of line in order to colour in a grid and make a huge image, this game focuses on Nonograms. I love Nonograms! I've reviewed quite a few Nonogram games on Steam! And it's always interesting to see just what each game does to set it apart from the rest. Some are themed around recognisable mascots, some have interactive side-activities…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is cute and the puzzles are fun though they stop getting any harder after like the 3rd area the dialogue is kinda funny sometimes and I like the pixel art a lot. There's also a ton of puzzles which is a good thing. Few things I'm not a huge fan of, the game really wants to turn on my vr for some reason like literally every time I turn the game on it turns on steam vr for no reason. There's no real sound options its either on or off which is annoying because I actually kind of like the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had never played a Picross game before and I didn't know what nonograms were until I played this game. I got it in a bundle and luckily I have really enjoyed it. The art style works great with the game, the music is very catchy and the puzzles are fun to solve. It was very rewarding getting all the achievements for the game. The only problem I have with the game is the optimization, sometimes it's a bit laggy, and a few minor bugs.
