What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 175 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (2,114 of 2,262 positive).
Players love the game's charm and co-op fun, especially with kids. [1][2][3] Many wish for more levels or content, as the game is short. [4][5][6] The game is praised for its art, sound, and simple yet addictive gameplay. [7][8][9]

Very simple and minimalistic game. Perhaps too simple. After you finish the initial run, it seems like the only thing to do is to do it flawlessly 3 times in a row with more and more guards or speedrun it. Otherwise content is missing - there're also like 2 achievement side quests but they're easy. More maps and/or mechanics would make it a ton better. Too bad because the art and sound design are pretty good, the …

This game is amazing. It is also by far my 7 year olds favorite game ever, something she just cannot get enough of. She gets mad if i punch too many cops, she wants to do that. My only request, as a dad of a 'pizza possum child' is a second level.

Truly amazing co-op game. Both my wife and I were laughing non-stop at the sound effects and the general premise. There was a good amount of time between buying this and playing it so we were super disappointed when we realized there weren't more levels. It is 100% worth the price, but we'd pay more for DLC or a sequel in a heartbeat.

PROS + Fun and adorable presentation. + Simple but addictive gameplay. + Great co-op experience. + Easy to pick up for players of all skill levels. + Perfect for short gaming sessions. CONS - Very short, can be completed in one sitting. - Limited content and replay value. - Gameplay doesn't evolve much after you've learned the mechanics. VERDICT Pizza Possum may be short, but it's packed with personality. It's the …

PLEASE we need more levels. This is the first game I could play with my kid. He is 3yo. AMAZING experience.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've primarily been playing Celeste and been enjoying it. I made it to the summit and now I'm going back through and trying to find all the strawberries, cassettes, and crystals without a guide and beat the B-Side levels. It's kind of a slog though, so I'll probably resort to using a guide eventually. Other than that I've been dabbling a bit with Elden Ring and GTA V and playing stuff like Pizza Possum and Plate Up with my fiancé.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The only reason I'm thumbing this down is that $7 is a bit too steep for this game. While its quite charming, silly, and fun, especially co-op, it's also very short. There's only one level and you can complete it in about 30 minutes. If you find it on sale for ~$3, then I'd say pick it up.

You go through each little section trying to eat as much food as you can without being caught; it's delightfully silly and fun!

Bold ones are my fav. - A way out - **It Takes Two** - **Split Fiction** - biped - **Pizza Possum** - Bokura (2 PC with 2 games are required) - **Heavenly Bodies** - KeyWe - Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime - Moving Out - PlateUp! - Tools Up! - Buissons - **Boomerang Fu** - Wee Tanks!

neutral · AI labelView post →Game is a little short but damn does it fulfill my fantasy to be a possum and steal a giant pizza from a chihuahua king. More fun with another partner in crime that you can yell at for getting caught for the 4th time in a row.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been looking for local co-op games to play with my 10-year-old. It can be harder than you'd think to find them on here -- the tags are applied by people so randomly that often you find games that don't have co-op or are online only. So when I find something promising (particularly on sale), I try it out. Worst case it's bad and I return it. We booted this up last night and I was honestly surprised by how fun it is. The basic loop is: - You eat food. - That food fills a meter (if the…

neutral · AI labelView post →I have a release today! Full blown chaotic party game Pizza Possum! Buy it!
positive · AI labelView post →This is a bare bones game, and the basic premise shown in the trailers is never expanded upon in any way. You run around and grab food while avoiding guards. You do this through several areas and then you finish a hard area and that's it. You can play from the beginning again if you want to. The movement, power ups, stealth, and level design are all decidedly average. It feels okay to play, and that is the best praise I can give it, because it certainly wasn't overly fun to play. Instead, I…

neutral · AI labelView post →As a single player this game was enjoyable. It could be annoying at times but that more of how powerful your natural skill level of sneak is. Price isnt bad for a game under 5 hours. Graphic wise its cute I love watching the little possum grow big when they was eating alot quickly and it was a neat touch to detail that it makes you move more slowly. The power ups are useful and silly to imagine. Story super simple and to the point. A younger audience would have fun with this game, especially in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →0 learning curve; LOCAL only co-op (2 player max) or single player. Well worth the full price for 3-5 hours of fun. Definitely a buy if discounted. The theming is consistent; art's remarkably polished. The sound effects and animations add to its charm. All this from essentially a 2 people studio, kudos!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly really like this game. I've played it multiple times with multiple different people, and it always brings the fun. It's simple to understand yet provides a good amount of challenge, and always leads to a lot of laughter. It's quite fun singleplayer as well, but multiplayer is definitely were it's at.

neutral · AI labelView post →I tried Pizza Possum which is a super cute co-op “survival” game
positive · AI labelView post →Game is ok and it's worth a play. But there's a lot of wasted potential. It's really simplistic. It's a stealth game, but the items are so strong that it often doesn't matter if you're seen. And the game is so short that it's sad. There's only one level. When you reach the end, you're set back at the beginning.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pizza Possum is a chaotic game where you play as possums to eat food for points and use powerups to aid in your run. It is best played in coop as you will be able to save your fellow possum if they get caught. There really isn't much depth to this game, just running around and collecting points to steal the crown from the king at the end. I really enjoyed the short sessions of pandemonium in every playthrough.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game #101 🍕 Pizza Possum (PC, 2023) Completed!
positive · AI labelView post →Best served in co-op. That’s where the game truly shines — every session turns into pure chaos comedy. The real fun begins once you unlock the boxing gloves. Suddenly it’s less ‘raiding the pantry’ and more ‘stalking the hounds’.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought that I already reviewed this game when I finished my first run, but apparently I did not. I don't like rougelike games, but this is co-op, which makes it great. Unfortunately, since it's rougelike, it means that there aren't much unique content and you may not care to attempt 3 perfect runs in a row at all. Be warned, if you show this game to 5 year old, they might not care about reaching the top at all, while still insist you to play it with them forever. That happened to me and I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, little game. Could be a bit longer or have one additional level or something. But fun time anyway
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pizza Possum is a super cute arcade game about stealing as much food as possible from a Mediterranean town and avoiding its canine police force. It's especially good for playing with children and family, with co-op options and great controller support. Some light to moderate challenge for achievement hunting and unlockable items offering different playstyles also lend themselves to good potential for replayability. All in all, a definite recommendation for casual fun, couch co-op, and silliness.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stupid fun. Bought as part of humble bundle deal. Played via remote play together and ran into some issues initially with volume settings, one person not receiving steam play together requests and losing input control. Managed to find work arounds for those issues and able to enjoy the game (haven't had these same issues with other remote play together games).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a short, silly game made exponentially better with multiplayer. A possum and a racoon raiding a kingdom for food?? Instantly charming, whether you're serving as a distraction to free your partner or deciding to try and feast while ducking out of sight, the game stays thrilling without overstaying its welcome. An excellent example of doing something simple extremely well.
