Disappointing. Core features that were present in the first game have been stripped out of the sequel. I bought Planet Coaster 2 primarily for the new water features, but it quickly became obvious that the water park simulation is deeply flawed. The lazy river in particular is outright broken and feels barely tested. The removal of Steam Workshop support is another massive misstep and a slap in the face to both …

with the most recent update i can now say i recommend this game over PC1. The games Graphics are so great, the parks load quickly unlike when the game first came out, the coaster builder is MILES ahead of PC1, and the arcades are a great new addition to the game. The in game blueprints are still pretty bad Imo, but i use the workshop a lot for things i don't have time for. I can confidently say this game is now more …

I genuinely think the only thing that holds this game back over its predecessor, of which I have over 500 hours, is the guest limit cap and lack of spooky theme items. I mean I'd even pay for the spooky PC1 pack again if it meant I could make a proper haunted house. 30,000 guests at 10fps didn't bother me back then and it wouldn't bother me now either. Props for the coaster smoothing improvements. Performance issues …

PROS 1. The coaster building is PHENOMENALE, it is so fun building coasters! 2. The smooth tool. i do not know how it works, but it can literally turn a dumpster fire of a coaster into a AMAZING coaster! 3. the autocomplete is pretty good, it works very well if it is not to far from the end. just dont do it from like right after the chainlift. CONS 1. the only bad thing about this game i would say is the dlcs. this …

Planet Coaster 2 received generally positive reviews from critics, with praise for its improvements over the original game, particularly in terms of visuals, customization, and new features. Leana Hafer from IGN praised Planet Coaster 2 for expanding on its predecessor's strengths, particularly with improved customization and new water attractions. Amazing game, keeps me busy for hours on end much like PC1... but MAN, the paywall is MASSIVE. The base game leaves you with next to nothing in terms of building equipment and blueprints. The variety of base game rides is okay at best, not much I haven't already seen in the last game. But... lets be real here, what the ♥♥♥♥ are we doing with all of these expansion packs? I feel like I'm missing out on a whole lot just because I don't have all this extra ♥♥♥♥ that should've just been…

I'm sad to say, i'm disappointed with this game. I spent many hours and money on the original and was excited enough to get the deluxe edition of this game, only to find out that have the original stuff was missing and then was released and you had to pay for it. wouldn't it have been better to include everything you paid for from the original, themes, rides ETC. but like alot of companies are doing, they sell what is basically an upgrade of the original which is half finished and then make you…

Unfortunately although it has more new features like the water park etc, a lot of it is all hidden behind paywall packages, think The Sims expansion pack nightmare, same thing here. I asked for a refund and won't be purchasing any future games from these developers who seem to think we will tolerate bad practices like this. Also, no community mods/objects available to add and download so you are stuck with needing their expansion packs. I enjoyed what little time I played, but when in game…

As a fan of the last game, I find myself disappointed in the sequel. -Most of the controls are wonky. I always feel like I am stumbling through the UI. -Lazy Rivers are pretty much still non-functional. Even a "well-designed" one will have guests constantly glitching in and out of their tubes. -Economy is not balanced well. The game starts off hard, and then is laughably easy and provides no challenge. -Staff Management is bad. Mainly, the staff members aren't great at doing their jobs. I see…

I really don't like how there aren't built-in strtuctures for every theme, it feels really lazy and like they expect you to either want to build everything yourself or spend ages trying to browse for something you like in the workshop. I just want to build a big theme park, I don't want to spend hours building structures. It's great if you want that level of detail, but personally, I don't.

Very disappointed in the number of rides included in the base game and the cost of ride packs. I find the game uninspiring as it is and don't feel terribly inclined to throw more money at it to make it into what it should have been in the first place. I don't quite want to give it a down vote but I certainly won't give it an up vote so there you have it.

If you want to spend 90% of your time tedious-building instead of managing a theme park, this is the game for you. The building system in Planet Coaster 2 is incredibly frustrating. You are stuck between two extremes: either you place these massive, bulky, premade attractions that look totally out of place in your park, or you are handed a barebones, depressing grey box for an ice cream shop that requires you to manually attach fifty microscopic pieces before it looks remotely acceptable.…

I'll start off by saying I'm enjoying this game but there's several things irritating me and keeping me from fully loving it (and giving a thumbs up). -Bugs: Way too many bugs still. PC1 never was this bad at least from what I can recall. Especially at this price point. Some things are game breaking. - Breakdowns make no sense: Seems as long as you keep renewing this service badge, rides will never, ever break down. I have a love/hate relationship with this game.. I love building coasters, but basically everything else is a pain in the ass. Scenery pieces are very modular, but lack a variety of options. I often reach a dead end and have to redesign buildings because there are no pieces to make my idea work. Not to mention, if you want to make anything other than a box, it requires a bit of time and you cannot avoid overlapping pieces that cause z-fighting. I find new pathing problems basically every…

Planet Coaster 2 feels like a downgrade from the original. It has fewer themes than Planet Coaster 1, and much of the missing content is locked behind paid DLC, making the base game feel incomplete. Instead of expanding on the original content and themes from PC1, it charges extra just to reach the variety the first game already had. While there are some improvements and polish in certain areas with adding water features. they’re not enough to justify the negatives. The reduced content and…

There are lots of quality of life improvements I've noticed in this and it seems to run better than PC 1. Unfortunately...... I feel conflicted about this. In many ways PC2 feels like a downgrade from PC1, but in an equal number of ways there's been quality of life improvements. Let's start with the bad: - Alot of stuff is still missing: Adventure theme, World's fair themes, spooky theme, hotels. (I don't get how all the assests in both planco 1 and planzoo, that run in the same engine, are not in here). Even the themes that are present feel incomplete, with building pieces missing. Buy only on a deep discount. Or just wait for Planet Coaster 3, which will have all the upgrades from their experience working on the Jurassic World series. The first two tutorial chapters are actually decent. Don't need to play the tutorials after chapter 2, you will mostly be doing the same things past that point. There are problems in some spots of the tutorial though. In one of the early tutorial chapters you will build on a beachfront with pirate ships. It tells you to build a pool on…

Lots and lots of pieces to build with, improved paths and coaster building from the original. But I can't recommend a simulation game when I spend more time dealing with bugs and poor design than I do actually playing the game. Like mechanics neglecting rides for no discernible reason, or vendors forgetting how to find their shop. Features like security are sloppily tacked on and ignored by the devs just like Planet Coaster 1. If you like making pretty parks, OK, it can be fun in that way, but…

It is not an awful game but it is so similar to the first and the only way to view the park properly is still from the sky, and the use of dlc is unfair in my opinion, they basically made the same game but slightly improved and made it so loads of content has to be bought. I would genuinely say the roblox game Theme Park Tycoon 2 is a better game as you can actually walk around your park, the sequencing is simple but effective, You can build smooth coasters and it is multiplayer. Mechanics will ignore rides completely across the entire spectrum of well services -> Needing service -> in critical condition. A decade they have been making these games and the path building is still about as fun as poking yourself in the eye with needle. Probably couldn't make it more annoying even if they tried.

Dollars, dollars, dollars and unstoppable milking machine covered content through paid dlc, which there's not supposed to be in there. I already paid heavily for the game, throwing so many dlc behind is frustrating. Game's out for less than 2 years and there's already 7 dlc's costing more than the base game. Should've been either free dlc's or free base game. This turning in BAD, BAD direction and if planet zoo 2 is like that too, well. Bad news fellas

with the most recent update i can now say i recommend this game over PC1. The games Graphics are so great, the parks load quickly unlike when the game first came out, the coaster builder is MILES ahead of PC1, and the arcades are a great new addition to the game. The in game blueprints are still pretty bad Imo, but i use the workshop a lot for things i don't have time for. I can confidently say this game is now more fun for me than PC1 was, i hope that they continue to bring back content from…

Frontier have a glowing reputation for committing to projects and listening to their fanbase. When PC2 launched it was very unwhelming. I held off writing a review until the game had had some time out there and Frontier had some time to fix and update. Its not perfect, its not all plain sailing but Frontier are heading in the right direction at last. Glad I held my tongue for a bit and allowed the company I love to come through.

Honestly, I'm loving this sequel! It's kind of unfair to compare it to PC1 since it only has two DLCs right now compared to the ton PC1 ended up with, but I've had a blast with it. The visuals are super sharp. And seriously, once you get the hang of the path system, it’s a game changer, it’s just brilliant. It’s been ages since a game has sucked me in for hours without me even noticing the time fly by. I'm super excited for whatever they add next. Yeah, there are a few little things that could…

The launch was very week but they did a No Mans Sky type of redemption arc, and now this game is unbelievably good. My only gripe is that they did a built-in multiplatform workshop and it is extremely rough.

After two years the game main new feature is still bugged. Flumes can't even be tested as the dummies just slam around erratically like it was in g-mod and stop themselves dead in their tracks... Can't even finish the tutorial because of that. There are some interesting features for paths but I'm not gonna spend more time in the game if it can't even do properly what it had teased... If you don't care about the whole water park feature it might be okay to purchase if you don't have the first…

CONS 1. the only bad thing about this game i would say is the dlcs. this company is very greedy for dlc money.

Oh boy. Where to start. How to start. Some might know me as a content creator for Planet Zoo, but I have been in several sandbox game communities since the release of the first RCT in 1999. So it pains me to give a thumb down and I want to give an unbiased, objective, nuanced review. If I'd have to choose between having my eyeballs and other ball-shaped organs being poked with sharp objects for weeks while being forced to listen to a constant loop of Abba renditions from a tonedeaf screeching…
