Project P.I.T.T. feels like a disorienting mess of ideas all crammed together. It's trying to be a physics-sandbox game where you have this freedom to create and automate to your heart's content, but it's bogged down by the lack of actual engaging mechanics and the need to fit into the Feed The Pit style of gameplay. what's the video game equivalent of blue balls? whatever it is, this is that. the game is fun up until the end of phase 3. before that, you've found the core gameplay loop and created automated structures to carry your products where they need to go, only being slightly slowed down by the manual crafting stations. in the back of your mind you're likely thinking phase 3 has gone on a little too long, but you believe you know what the game wants and it's been pretty fun up until this point. the…

Fun core concept, but ruined by confusing pacing and tedious grind on phase 3 I decided not to change the original text of the review. I'll just add a new section below. I spent 8 hours in the Next Fest demo and had an absolute blast. Back then, I even planned an ambitious build: a "ducktube" (a tunnel made of metal panels with fans placed every few meters) leading to an unknown pipe entrance with sign "0%" high above the Maw. I ended up postponing that project for the full release. When the…

The only reason I'd recommend this is the price point. This game has a fundamental flaw it hits when you get to the fourth act of the game. It encourages you to play in a specific way during the first 3 acts, then takes a hard left turn at the final act. You can see the result of this in the achievements, the regular ending has a 2.7% completion rate, while the secret ending has a 6% completion rate. Full spoiler explanation below: In the first through third act, you are encouraged to build…

Not Recommended, but I really want to like this game There is a genuinely good game underneath Project P.I.T.T. The core concept is fun, and once you have enough money, there is something satisfying about building increasingly elaborate automated setups. I also want to give credit to the developer for actively reading reviews and making changes based on player feedback. That is always appreciated. Pros: - Good price point. I think the game is reasonably priced for what you get. - Good time…

Great game. I don't get the negative reviews. If you spent 5+ hours building automated contraptions and they were destroyed pre-update--why leave a negative review if you obviously didn't read the game's description? "Brutalist PSX satire meets first-person sandbox chaos". This game did not state anywhere that you would not be punished or forced to rethink/rebuild your designs. Disappointing that the developer had to pivot a game stage that encouraged creativity and problem solving. This…

It's a cool concept, but it feels really unpolished and gets really boring for long stretches. The start of the game is really slow and takes a long time to get into any actual content beyond holding left click on the duck machine and walking ducks over to the pit. Once you unlock fans and panels it's pretty fun building a setup to automatically feed the ducks into the hole. But once that works, you're just stuck holding left click and doing literally nothing else for half an hour until…

This is a really enjoyable game up until the fourth act, at which point you are forced to manually tear out everything you've made and rebuild from scratch with a deeply janky placing system that only becomes more frustrating the more you try to use it. Besides that, during the literal hours your automation is offline while you rebuild, the game will regularly flash warnings and threats across your screen (which make sense from a story perspective) that really just add insult to injury for a…

needs more time in the oven. building the contraptions is awkward (especially if you are working with angles of any type), and it's a slog every time you unlock a new item - why am I cranking out pinatas manually for less than 0.1% of phase progress per pinata when I am sitting on 90 million cash? Lots of awkward moments like that

It goes from fun to at the midway point, honestly. Plus like half of the ♥♥♥♥ you can buy for 'automation' is completely useless. Jump pads? Pistons? Even late game crates will end up completely useless because all you need is a few cushions and the high tier fan and you can push everything directly into the hole. Ducks and cash registers were fun, everything after that is annoying and tedious. There's also an obstacle course kind of thing later on but parkour with the floating, weird physics…

Good god, where do I even start? This game hooked me from start to finish. I'm almost positive the people negatively reviewing this game only THOUGHT they wanted to play an automation game. The amount of QOL the game gives you throughout is PLENTY enough to keep you from doing anything even remotely tedious. I had an absolute blast automating each line of items, and improving logistics when given news toys for completing hidden quotas. I did the secret ending first as there were things to do…

I really liked the demo. It had great atmosphere, hints of some secrets to be uncovered. Gameplay was fun although a bit tedious. I was expecting the full release to polish the gameplay a bit and continue with the interesting story. I’d more likely give this a mixed review than a negative one. Cool idea, cool presentation, but honestly, probably my least favorite incremental game I’ve played. I’m a huge fan of both incremental and automation games, but this game is, above all else, just... tedious. I had high hopes going in, but I can’t say I enjoyed a single moment of the experience. In short: The demo is better than the actual game. Without giving anything away, the closer you get to the final stages, the worse the game design becomes. In a game that's all about outsmarting the system in a incremental and glitching way, the design suddenly falls apart completely. Later in the game, the tasks are extremely unnecessary and boring. Mini-games that can only be seen as a bad joke, but which are essential. Important key items that disappear, rendering the game save unusable.…

The game needs to refine its ability to automate stuff because right now the start of the game basically punishes you for doing any serious automation given how expensive the slick pannels are, Combined with the smaller things like the machines not dispensing in the same spot everytime, Fans being very iffy, and basically every part around actually placing the pannels is just bad. I dropped the game once I reached the anomaly because my constant struggle with getting pinatas to only break in…

This game starts enjoyable but has several issues which get increasingly noticeable as time progresses. You quickly get the best automation tools in the early half and the rest get increasingly niche. Some are strangely placed in unlock order too, like getting a little roomba that shoves things to the pit in Phase 3 when most of the objects you're working by then with take damage from hitting the ground. To showcase what I mean for getting the best automation early: You get panels that can…

Incremental games like this are my guilty pleasure and I was pretty excited to try it out. I found phase one with the ducks to be pretty fun and exactly what I wanted out of the game. Phase 2 and beyond kind of lose me a bit. Using Slick floors and fans to shoot everything to the pit is just such a strong gameplan that unlocking extra tools (magnets, bouncy pads, pistons etc.) means nothing because it is just easier to use slick floors and fans for phases 2 and 3. I feel like most of the things…

I love physics games. The second I saw the trailer, I purchased this game. Sadly, physics alone can't keep you engaged if the gameplay loop isn't fun. For the first 5 hours, I really enjoyed this game. But then the tedium really started to settle in. The biggest issue is the game doesn't respect your time. Manually creating ducks/registers/pinatas is really boring and frustrating. Getting rid of this mechanic entirely and having auto-miners you can upgrade for increased speed/value would…

I feel like this game has so much potential with it's automation, but as many others have shared, this game is too clunky and tedious to feel like you are getting any meaningful progression. Manual gameplay is quite boring. Most of my progress came from holding left click to make things to throw into the pit while watching YouTube, which gets old pretty quick. Combos seem cool at first, but they end up not feeling very rewarding imo. You think the game would get more fun after you get more…

Game starts off fun but after a few hours progress becomes a slog. This game is about automation. I gave up on the game after I automated blowing pinatas into the pit, cooked and ate a meal, and came back to still not having unlocked the next phase. If I wanted to play an idle game I would be playing a good one. You start off having to toss ducks into a pit by hand but relatively quickly unlock alternative ways to move them. I technically like the game. Or atleast, the idea of the game. You spend 90% of the playtime building things, with one glaring issue; The building system is by far the worst implementation I have ever experienced, and it leaves you absurdly frustrated constantly. Its really a shame since it has me tetering on the edge of quitting before its beaten. EDIT: It took 30 more minutes after the review, to fully be done with the game. Its just actually not fun at all.

First of all, the game randomly crashes. More broadly, I was hoping for a goofy automation/optimization/horror idle game, but the large amount of labor involved and constant mild irritation from game physics are grating. Imagine you're in the middle of shuffling back and forth to get the snap-to-grid working on the 52nd metal panel in your design, and it flies off into the distance for no apparent reason. Now you need to stop and pick it up so it doesn't clog something else, and it's not the…

Pretty cool automation-lite grinder-time waster type game. There are secrets to find, stuff to automate, and it doesn't overstay its welcome with overly drawn out progression. There is not really any horror. Visuals are neat, and you can disable the awful (IMO) extra pixelation post processing effect. Music is pretty cool. This game is very fun up to a point, and this is my first negative review of ANY game ive ever played. Everything about it is great, except the fact that they encourage automation, only for a scripted event to destroy said automation after an hour of building. That wouldnt be so bad if it didnt take an hours to set up the small panels they give you to work with, or give an easier way to get rid of whats left after the scripted event. I had to take pieces of my destroyed "conveyors" and bring…

Playing for a bit, I wish I could give the game a Mixed Review. The game is Alright as an Incremental game but it doesn't really incentivize Optimization with Building and Setup when the Building aspect feels extremely Tedious since you have to place and move panels one at a time by hand. You will instead be relying on sloppy building and having an absolute mess of a setup just to rack up Combos and Score. Another problem is the lack of a Progression Indicator, you don't really know how far…

It's fun! Bit of a slower start compared to other incremental games. Most of the tools at the start don't feel like they help at all until the broom, which you admittedly get pretty quick. Once it gets going though it does feel like a pretty fun puzzle figuring out ways to automate getting stuff in the pit. Only other minor complaint is it's Steam Deck verified, but the game is made a bit more tedious on the Steam Deck. Compared to the PC, because the game is physics based, the controller…

A truly nice incremental game with a dystopian-weird-ducky take on the genre. It's nothing new, but it's varied and pretty enjoyable all the way to the end. If you're looking for a mix of Berry Bury Berry and Minemogul, this is your duck. Squack.

Starts neat, but progression is super slow and the tools mostly barely works. Ends up quite tedious in the end.

The game is cool, has a lot of interesting features and items, but i will be getting a refund because there is no support for the Ukrainian language contrary to the full russian adaptation, and also because i got mixed messages about the political views of the creator and the publisher (e.g. the Project P.I.T.T. x Wanderlust: Transsiberian deal, where the second game heavily glorifies russia + some other of their advertisements and statements), and really don`t want to support any potentially…

I really wanted to like this game, I enjoy incremental games and automation so this seemed like a sure thing. Unfortunately, the gameplay loop isn't satisfying and the game works against you in really frustrating ways. You have to cobble together a production line with really basic tools in order to unlock better tools, but improving your production line kills all your income, and you have to buy every individual piece. There's no conveyor belts, so it takes a ton of pieces to get anything set…

It's a number go up game with slight horror vibes. You start by pushing rubber ducks into "The Maw". Fairly fun, though at almost 9 hours I'm starting to feel the fatigue set in and might not continue. Got to Phase 3 after the patch that removed a scripted event that caused disruption, so for me all I'm doing is farming hundreds of millions of dollars and nothing feels like its progressing at a rapid enough pace. I think this is because the game really incentivizes not having items be…
