REMEDIUM
Developer Sobaka Studio
The fast-paced twin-stick shooter game in the grim post-apocalyptic Renaissance setting. It had been more than a hundred years since the terrible plague devoured the whole continent and turned almost everyone there in the maddened mutants. From the Steam store page

Overall game has potential but in it's current state it's just bad. There's many cons i could list but you can live with that except one which is just ruins the whole game for me. The worst part of the game are controls. Character has insane inertia and in A2 in mines theres a lot of tiny bridges where you basically pixelhunt so you won't fall off from that and it's just painfully bad. You almost never know if you …

A typical representative of shoot’em up games but made by professionals. Typical doesn’t mean bad, it means understandable - you know how to play from the very first minute. Every aspect of the game looks rock solid. It has a clear and logical plot, dark but spectacular graphics, and good technical realization. The atmosphere of the decaying world is conveyed perfectly: all these corrupted monsters, fire, toxic …

The game with great atmosphere! Sound and visual style are helping to create the atmosphere of helplessness. Shooting is pleasant, weapons with effects has a cool impact and feeling of power to shots. Mechanic with disease and symptoms feels interesting and unique. You really have to explore locations to find seals in order to stop disease from progressing or its effect getting worse. As for drawbacks, even though …

TLDR: Since Steam still lacks a neutral recommendation, I upvote it, but you have to keep in mind that it does have some issues and that it is in early access! _____________________________________________________ Looking for a new twin-stick game in a dark post-apocalyptic setting? Then this might be for you. Definitely an early access game to keep an eye on. There is an interesting concept with the plague system …

This is a fast-paced twin-stick shooter with a uniquely sinister atmosphere! It's a lot of fun engaging your enemies while unlocking new weapons, elements, grenades, and plague resistance.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was easy to dive into the game universe. I just grabbed my controller and… woke up after 3 hours of intensive journey. I like what I feel playing in the game. Loneliness, a breath of a dying world, a glimpse of hope when you find one more note or learn one more recipe. With every step, I feel the fragility of this world and still hope for a good end. Definitely worth playing. Unlike many modern games, it has a stable framerate, and my laptop doesn’t try to take off while playing even with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When writing this Review (14 December 2023), I can't Recommend REMEDIUM due to the sheer amount of Bugs I've encountered in my 4-hour experience. The Gameplay and Core-Mechanisms are good, but so many Bugs (clipping, enemies not taking damage, environment not loading properly, Settings revert back every time, etc.) make it a very frustrating journey.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After playing for about an hour and killing two bosses? I realized this game is not for me. Simply put it seems a touch too basic I don't know how many weapons there are but it seems there is only enough room for 4 and after that you will make modifications to change the gun's. it seems there arent any skills to speak of other than throwing a grenade and dash. This is a twin stick shooter that doesnt seem to have much going on with it. There is a complete lack of immersion considering you don't…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still in Early Access but what I played so far has me hopeful for the future of this game. Even for the current price i'd say it's worth it for what's already released atm.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Starting out, but works beautifully on Deck. Responsive controls, nice performance and really fun gameplay! Hope we get a full game release soon since I see myself finishing the first chapter very soon. 💯 recommended

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is no escape. You press play, and it's 1 am. Totally like!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would I recommend this game to my friends? Yes, I would. To be straight, the story was pretty good, the graphics are okay, the selection of weapons and play-styles is pretty good and the enemies/bosses were entertaining too. Obviously, the game is not trying to compete with the Path of Exile or Diablo 4 while still has decent gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice Indie game by the developers of Redeemer: + the different areas of the game are nicely designed and very atmospheric + exploring is fun and not annoying + combat and controls feel very smooth + no obvious bugs + price of the game is fair - nothing really negative I can say considering the Early Access The game needs some polishing but it was great fun to play. Definitely recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the twin stick controls, but the game is still very raw at this point. - crude drawing and animation of monsters - layout of level needs work. - monsters get stuck in doorways - sometimes buttons don't work via game pad (ex. Y), - player gets stuck in hidden areas (underneath pavement) - tutorial needs to provide more details on cures/weapon upgrades

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Checking out Remedium: Sentinels and this is the first Survivorslike that's felt interesting enough to play... The retro-grungy graphics are dark and moody, the mechanical golems you control look really chunky and brutal, and the vibe is totally on point. So far, I dig it. #videogames

neutral · AI labelView post →Still in early access, but very fun so far. Looking forward to see the finished product. Sobaka is a great developer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zero rpg elements, gameplay is boring, and the journal popups block a major portion of the screen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you really want a solid interesting game with tension, plot, and gloomy environment it's for you. For me, it reminds Vah Helsing Adventure with more action and less storyline. Anyway, I like it although the control needs to be a little bit smoother and convenient.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its hard to say what I like about the game because its good all the way from the start. easy on the eyes easy to play .
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Instantly likable. The bosses are visually impressive and really hard to defeat. The controls are… not that good. I preferred using an XBox controller. Very fun anyway Unlocking new weapons feels nice, progression is smooth, you can end up really devasting gun! Hope to see Coop as it would be a layer of fun on top
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a nice surprise....game is GREAT so far. It's got some RPG baked into it, great atmosphere, graphics, etc. Ticks all the boxes for me. Really enjoying it and recommend. Seems to have full controller support as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →keep up the good work. Edit:Really enjoying the game, but it seems a little too simple and repetitive. I had some hope for more abilities being added in and a skill tree. What they have now with the tables is a good start but very simple. If that's all the game is trying to do it does it very well. Since it seems the only real way to take any damage comes from being cornered which makes for some meh gameplay. Overall though I'm really excited to see what comes next for this game. I also have…

neutral · AI labelView post →Remedium Sentinels is my current swarm survivor and offers quite a bit for $5. It's half off on PS4/5 as well. It's a little more slow paced since you play as mechs but the vibes are off the chart. Kinda feels like a Dreamcast game. www.dekudeals.com/items/remedi...
positive · AI labelView post →Absolutely loving it. I haven't played any 'twin stick shooters', although it has so many similarities to ARPG's that it all feels very familiar to me. It is in early access, so obviously there will be fine tuning and more content, but for now I'm having an absolute blast. RPG's all feel the same to me, but the presentation of this game has something else - soul. The art direction and atmosphere is superb. The different environments and variety of creatures (and mechanics) just feels so fresh.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite a little gem, Twin-stick/Bullet hell with plenty of gear to level up. Also big props to whoever did the art style in this game, it’s amazing! Would love to see some extra challenges added and the Act 3!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is not complex and the setting is not to my liking, but the gameplay is surpassingly very good! Gearing up in this game is satisfying, and it's great at making you feel rewarded. The gameplay is smooth, fun, and can be challenging as well. This game surprised me in a good way. It's definitely worth it if you don’t mind occasional bugs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remedium is already polished in both the gameplay and visuals, only lacking a bit more bug fixing and content that is sure to come down the line. On initial startup, it might seem straightforward. But after a run or two, it's pretty easy to get the hang of skills and features and start to strategize based on your current kit. Would highly recommend supporting this dev.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Are you a fan of fast-paced twin-stick shooter games set in a dark and gritty post-apocalyptic world? Look no further than Remedium on PC! This game will have you on the edge of your seat as you navigate through a world overrun by mutants and plagued by a deadly virus. From the moment you start playing Remedium, you'll be immersed in a visually stunning and immersive world. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is excellent. Not perfect but very interesting. Dark gothic atmosphere attracts and you sink into the action right away. 4 hours I was passed like a blink of an eye! Thumbs up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →our indie game: - bullet-hell roguelite - prequel to REMEDIUM set 100+ years after the Grey Plague - alchemists built you a murder machine - endless mutant hordes on screen - combine weapons with alchemical elements - survive until your reactor dies #REMEDIUMSentinels | #IndieGame
neutral · AI labelView post →My #Severance theory… Lumon’s end game is to replace outies with innies, permanently. The final people product optimized for work and loyalty. Remedium Hominibus, a cure for mankind.
neutral · AI labelView post →Another mix. Golf Peaks is my favorite puzzle game on the Switch. Remedium Sentinels is a swarm survivor like VamSur but with mechs. This Way Madness Lies by @zeboydgames.bsky.social is an *awesome* turn-based RPG about magical girls and Shakespeare. JaJaMaru is a port of RPGs we never got here.
positive · AI labelView post →Remedium is a fast-paced, top-down shooter game. The gameplay revolves around exploring a plague-infested world. One of the highlights of Remedium is its late gothic inspired aesthetic. The visuals feature a gloomy ambience contrasted by vibrant gun shooting and explosions. Overall, Remedium is a fun, simple and nostalgic take on the twin-stick shooter genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its got good bones, Some of the gameplay mechanics could use a better explanation, but overall i loved the time i had with it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow, A few hours in this game were fun enough for me as the shooting is decent and the setting has this decadent vibe of the apocalypse. Not just another zombie one though. There is still some kind of infection called Dark Plague which surprisingly can make your character even stronger (before turning you into the beast-like mutant) and doesn’t just kill him in a few days like the real plague does. All in all, your infected protagonist has to kill a lot of less fortunate plague mutants on his…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, loving the action and styling. Only downside at this point is I don't know if I'm stuck or if I'm just at the end of the early access. I'm in the village, I finished the castle, and there's no markers. I'm just running around in circles
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's pretty good although it needs some tweaks. However the devs abandoned it, so not recommended
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think I broke this game Kiborg. The enemies spawning in are just dying instantly because I upgraded my Remedium implants to max level and chose an endless run at the end of my run of difficulty level 5. Big mistake. I'm impervious to harm and everything around me melts the second it's spawned in
positive · AI labelView post →There's a cool game underneath a litany of control issues with both controllers and mouse/keyboard. I did play with a PS5 controller using Steam Input and buttons straight up did not work. Bought this 6 or 7 months ago and just had never gotten around to playing it, or at least I showed I had 2 minutes in it. After another hour I'm calling it here. With the keyboard and mouse I was unable to re-assign the space bar. In the menu needed to use the mouse/keyboard in order to select items as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →thought this would be a nice offline game to play through but the game gets kinda repetitive played the entire first act and the only thing worth using was the repeater with the fire mod on most of the section bosses are the exact same 'cept from there dmg type only when i got to act 2 after fighting the first boss that has an actual health bar did they star putting special bosses in areas. In terms of upgrading there basically isn't any, upgrading most the weapon parts don't show you a change…
