Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 93 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mixed (171 of 247 positive).
Players praise the game's atmosphere and steampunk aesthetic. [1][2][3] Many note it is a solid Vampire Survivors clone with good potential. [1][3][4] Some criticize it for being slow, grindy, and lacking content. [5][6][7]

As a Vampire Survivors lover, I liked the concept and what I saw in the trailer and screenshots, which is why I decided to buy it. From the very beginning, both in the menu and the actual gameplay, it felt clunky and unpolished. Despite this, I decided to continue playing to see if I could find something to love. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. It could have been a great game despite its clunkiness, but in …

Early access review. REMEDIUM: Sentinels follows up on a pattern known best from Vampire Survivors, and I must agree that it has a lot of potential for future development. I like the setting and atmosphere, the graphics are not some kind of masterpiece but they're nice to look at and first and foremost readable while playing. I found at least one game-breaking bug, but I'm quite sure that it'll be patched by the …

If you like Vampire Survivor, this game will scratch that auto-shooter-itch and add mech + steampunk themes. Well worth the price. I can't wait to see more content added!

Hundreds Survivor clones hit the market, but make no mistake: this is one of the actual good ones. I've played a few and not all of them are elevating the format to any real degree. This one does. You have variety of skills, enemies with good graphics and nice atmosphere and for now only some sentinels to play. I also played the demo and some hours right now in Early Access and it's a great time. Looking for future …

This is a game with a very lonely and depressing atmosphere! It's fun to control the sentinel and defeat monsters. Firepower is the cure for silence...

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basic, uninteresting, and repetitive in very small and boring maps. It presents as more of a demo than a complete game, but this is all that there is and it's kind of glitchy at that. There are so many auto-battlers out there that do it so much better that I'd suggest giving this one a pass, especially since the dev's have admitted it is abandonware. Why invest in a sub-par game that will never see improvement?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good foundation for a game, but the 'maps' are just tiny circles. The powerups are not satisfying. The character moves slowly. Most importantly, it's abandonware.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has a nice aesthetic/visuals, it has good music, the core gameplay is pretty solid. But it's too grindy and slow to my liking, the in-session upgrades are too few and uninspired, and the meta progression is very weak. So while this is not the worst of the "survivors"-type games, I can't really recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The mechanics are poorly designed. The attacks still hit even if you dodge. Do not recommend
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great, fun, I look forward to official release and further update. The base game play is great but needs a lot more diversity in abilities to chose.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesn't really do anything to distinguish itself from any other Vampire Survivors game. Has no gimmick or hook to diversify its gameplay loop and what it does bring to the table is done worse than other offerings in the same genre. Decent looking graphical style though.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first, I thought this game was amazing for the first three not really great attempts then it slowly got to I'm dragging my arse on the floor kind of halt after like an hour and a half. Like the mental hype for a new game was cool, but eventually the sound effects for the saws are a headache (for cerberus with the +1 projectile perk) and then the fire mine which I can't recall what it's called... Like that mine causes all other sounds to not exist... I would also point out if there's too much…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Slow and boring, very low quality clon
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately I did not enjoy this game. The weapons are not very inspiring, the upgrades and weapons are on the dull side, and the gameplay is just... generic without much pizazz to differentiate it from the other Vampire Survivor clones. I particularly dislike how the enemies are always pathing to just in front of you instead of behind you, this looks extremely unnatural and is hard to work around. Futhermore, there is just nothing really to look forward too. You will notice how uneven and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely early access, but the gameplay is there for the price point. it is dificult at first until you understand it more and then it becomes easier. still has that rougelike RNG but is still entertaining. i was able to beat everything currently available and see another playable character that has not been added yet. i have purchased all the current upgrades and have about 5K currency leftover after 4 hours. i really hope the updates keep coming but for its price, its well worth playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This games is not a bad little VS clone so far, it definitely needs proper controller support. There is very little in the way of settings, just music and general sound sliders are avaliable, the auto aiming is a little wonky. Has some meta progression.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dude, early access games are like totally rad, man! They're like the flower children of the gaming world, inviting developers and players to groove together in a cosmic dance of creation. You feel me? It's all about spreading those good vibes, you know? Developers can jam with players right from the start, man. It's like, "Hey, what's up, fellow gamers? Let's build something epic together!" And with all that feedback flowing, games can blossom into these beautiful, polished gems by the time…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Checking out Remedium: Sentinels and this is the first Survivorslike that's felt interesting enough to play... The retro-grungy graphics are dark and moody, the mechanical golems you control look really chunky and brutal, and the vibe is totally on point. So far, I dig it. #videogames
positive · AI labelView post →Yay, you can play from different mechs. Wonderful! (+) Simple but fun and very addictive gameplay (+) Different characters, weapons and upgrades for each one. That brings more tactics (+) It’s cheap, c'mon, really cheap! (+-) A bit slow at the beginning, but then speed ups.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ignore the nominee award. this game lacks any content and polish even for an EA release. It shows premise and has a unusual feeling, but there is alot of work need to be done.

neutral · AI labelView post →What a sweet little game. No, really! First off, the graphics are top notch, especially for a survivor/rogue styled game. You have a variety of available character to choose from. Of course you need goals and there are plenty. This includes the need to activate most of these avatars. You start with two to get things going. I don't know the expected play time, but it will certainly be a lot for me. The replay capability is high. Partly because the game is set in a different mode than the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found this takes a few hours to warm to, like some other games of the genre. It is slow and clunky and is by no means a masterpiece. It does, however, have a good atmosphere. Who doesn't love Steampunk? I think some of the achievements are just beyond me while some others are grinds (kill a million enemies for example, where you get no clue as to how close you are.) It is worth the experience, overall but you will not see it compared favourably next to Soulstone Survivors, Army of Ruin…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good time killer for such price, really liked the dark atmosphere. Music - great Gameplay - good Variety - would like to have more The atmosphere - great Story - there is no, just a bit of it 7.9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was fun but it unironically felt more fun in the demo? I don't want to give it a thumbs down because (the main reason I purchased it) the aesthetic is amazing, its just so fun. My main 5 gripes would be: The auto-aim only option extremely sucks and makes the game way harder (in the demo I swear it was the same until I got a railgun of sorts that finally let me aim). The no cap on max amount of enemies is annoying and the game can get super frame-y later on if you aren't killing stuff…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game for the price of a cup of coffee! Good VS-like game considering early access and constant updates. The game is better than the demo. I would like a greater variety of perks and their combinations. Nice sound and atmosphere. Yes, there are bugs and flaws in the gameplay, but the game is moving in the right direction. Definitely worth the money, I will follow the game further! Thank you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh my, where to start? 1. Inaccurate hitbox of mobs. You can literally see a mob (like dogs) doing their animation aimed 120 degree AWAY from you, and you'd get hit when you are at its backside. 2. No manual aiming... just why? In a game where everything swamps us, not being able to manual aim means we have to get close and let auto-aim doing its magic. 3. The drop rate of exp is inconsistent. Sometimes I can get to lvl 3 before the first minute, others I'm barely on lvl 2. 4, Difficult…

neutral · AI labelView post →Remedium Sentinels is essentially a nicer looking Vampire Survivors, but considerably more lacklustre in content and features. You only have 6 maps to pick from, a handful of weapons, and what I would consider an acceptable amount of enemy variety. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Out of all of these Vampire Survivor rogue lites I think I like this game the most. I like the progression and missions. The graphics and sound are decent, but unimportant to game play. The story is interesting, but a bit disjointed. Some are saying it's a great game at first, but becomes tedious after levelling up. I haven't reached that point, I highly recommend it, especially at its current price point of US$4.99.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had fun--but short while. Its great at first but when you learn how to play it efficiently it gets really boring. Especially the rush mode, doesn't accomplish anything, when getting into max level it's all the same in every map. Cool graphics by the way. I hope there will be new gimmick if developer decided to update and add some spices to it. For now I'm done, I'll just wait and see.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's okay but needs more content
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like that you can feel the heaviness of the golems. Tired of too fast roguelikes, where you only rush, here at least you feel the power of a robots that grinds enemies into minced meat. If there were more blood and corpses, it would be great!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The graphics remind me of an early PS2 era, and strangely enough, I like it! The gameplay is great – there is a nice selection of weapons and upgrades with decent capacity for different play styles and experiments. And when my Sentinel literally send enemies flying with its weapons, that is a really welcome sight! Wishing the dev team to continue keeping up the good work of supporting the game as i see a lot potential.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks good. This game is addicting and has cheap price, potentially many hours of gameplay. If you ever wished to be a bullet hell, well now you can. And wow, I had to fight off and be surrounded by tons of monsters really! Decent gameplay, different upgrades for each Sentinel. I recommend to give it a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, nice amount of content at EA start and variety of skills, performance is steadily improving with even first updates. Really fun, when you can't see anything anymore except your attacks after many waves and start crashing them all. It has really low price for now and worth to get it. Hopefully developers will continue to improve, for example controls with gamepad and balancing, balancing and balacing the difficulty.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Brotato game Remedium Sentinels Achilles Survivor Scarlet Tower Halls of Torment I tried to keep it to swarm survivors
neutral · AI labelView post →Remedium Sentinels is my current swarm survivor and offers quite a bit for $5. It's half off on PS4/5 as well. It's a little more slow paced since you play as mechs but the vibes are off the chart. Kinda feels like a Dreamcast game. www.dekudeals.com/items/remedi...
positive · AI labelView post →Below replacement level Survivors-like. The steampunk horror vibes are nice. Given the ultra low price tag, you could do much worse with your time, but only if you've already played every other middling entry in the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I must say, the game offers a solid experience with some exciting challenges. The variety of characters and abilities is a nice touch, adding depth to the gameplay. The graphics are decent, and combat can be genuinely engaging, making it an enjoyable choice for fans of the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun perks, easy to play, very addictive. Overall a solid addition to the survival genre. If you like this kind of games - you should definitely give it a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →REMEDIUM: Sentinels can be considered a game you say about: “okay, one more run and I’m to bed now”. Then you come to and try to process how you’re already several hours into the night! So it’s engaging, challenging, has lost of unlockable content and, what’s important to me, a loads of achievements. I’m really eager to see the next updates and if the devs add any kind of multiplayer or coop. that would be great!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first it seems that it is impossible to survive, but after 4-5 rounds it becomes much easier. A little advice - try to immediately open the second sentinel and collect gears to improve him. As soon as saws become available to you, mutants will start to be afraid of you, not you of them xD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2/10 Few Levels, Few upgrades, horrible balanced monsters, bad mechanics, bad animations..,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple but interesting auto battler survival hybrid, even now in very early alpha it is quite interesting to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Early Access, Remedium Sentinels thus far showcases some welcome traits in the crowding-up reverse bullet-Hell genre. Primarily, enemies must actually execute an *attack* animation to harm you... meaning you can conceivably maneuver in response to such. Power-ups have heft. The setting oozes steampunk medieval fantasy atmosphere, and the music is fantastic. Only two Mechs to play as thus far, but possesses a good long-term upgrading system. Crisp graphics. Easy to recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good example of an auto-shooter in 3D. Not much content yet, I guess that you can unlock everything in 8-10 hours, but for this price, it's very good. There are few bugs now, and when there are too many enemies, there can be FPS-drops, but devs promised to fix it soon. In any case, so far so good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like games similar to Vampire Survivors and this game was an unexpected surprise to me. First of all, it has decent 3D-graphics and nice character and enemy design. And most importantly, there’s good content and replayability in it for such price. Still, the devs should address some minor bugs and balance tweaks. But this is what early access for, right? Most of all, I’m interested to see new playable golems – there’re only two now, but we were promised to get more in the future. Hopefully…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An incredibly addictive game that makes you replay and look forward to continuing. As a fan of roguelite and bullet hell games, I would definitely recommend giving it a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very conditional like. Game looks good and plays good and follows the familiar Survivors formula. In my opinion though, loads to desire there: 1. Your leveling flow is completely off. For the first number of levels you level up ok with enemies having sensible difficulty then suddenly you need 242 points to level up while none of the special enemies appear so you are left to try to get a level with enemies massing more and more until you get to the point where a swarm of specials…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game with what seems like a lot of depth to it. I really enjoy it, right now it is too early access, but I recommend anyone to try it. It has some issues, but I think its absolutely 'Yes' for someone who is okay with Early Access games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10 for early access. Lots of fun for such price. It's a very good foundation, but it needs improvements to have more characters, maps, enemies and skills. And for you have a SteamDeck, get this, great for couch plays. This game is worth a hamburger :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game even it is in early access. If you enjoy rogue-like games this one is for you. Visually, the game is pleasing to look at. The skills all have a different effect, so you're not looking at the same thing every game as well. There is different maps you could play at. And decent amount of things to unlock and work towards, but this game is still in early access. I personally can't wait for the full release, especially the next updates. Sobaka studio does good job on that.
