I really wanted to like this game, especially after suffering through the first one. This game is just so disjointed in so many ways. While the gameplay isn't as frustratingly slow as the first game with the sprint now being an actual run, there is so much about the game that is unresponsive. It constantly felt like wrestling with the game to make it do what I wanted. Interacting with doors is incredibly …

I went into the game with no expectations, the first having been decent enough, however nothing could have prepared me for just how comically bad this game is, so bad, that it would have ended up being good were it not for a single simple fact... Remothered Broken Porcelain after many patches is now a good game, unlike when it launched. Pros + A great tribute to Rule Of Rose / Clock Tower and Haunting Ground + Some truly disturbing horror moments + Decent voice acting + A good "core" story (see negatives) Cons - The story exposition dumps on you and does feel littered with small plot holes - Romance sub plot feels kinda shoe-horned in - Still a janky "indie" …

Do not understand the hate that this game got. It was brilliant; almost as good as the first one. I only encountered a couple of bugs (which didn't impact the game much) though I heard the bugs were worse before. I suspect that like with the first game, a lot of people didn't like it because they didn't understand how to play the game. If anything I found the AI in this game more forgiving than the first. It has …

You can't erase memories forever! It would be like erasing time itself I tried playing this psychological horror game on the day of release, but it was too buggy, and the controls were so clunky that I had to drop it. neutral · AI labelView post →Prequel and sequel While the game mainly focuses on Jennifer's story taking place in the '70s we also get to take control of Reed who I understand was the main protagonist of the previous episode, Tormented Fathers. There is a nice recap video when starting a new game and a text-based version is also available in the menus so I didn't have an issue with playing Broken Porcelain not having tried its predecessor, at all. Plot This is a bit of a mess with exploring one's real identity,…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really don't care if you play it or not But since it is that time of year again, and another installment of this franchise is coming out/is out: The 'Remothered' horror game franchise is transphobic, homophobic, and sexist. Maybe consider that before you give the devs money
negative · AI labelView post →I don't usually do reviews for games, but this game was hilariously worse than I expected. When the game came out, I did hear about all the negativity surrounding the game, so I decided to wait a few years to see if it got better. I got the game on a good sale, but I will say... It wasn't even worth the cheap price I paid for it. The game's 'shock value' adds literally nothing to the game, except being there just to add shock. Adding nearly every insulting words possible, and even insinuated…

The story is all over the place the cut scenes abruptly end with no smooth transition.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just like the first one this game is an incompetent, irritating waste of time. Apparently not leaning from their mistakes from the developers created an even worse experience as the game play is poorly made, buggy and often nonsensical. Why the hell is the button to open containers and doors the same as the one that picks up items? In a game like this where you could potentially be desperately searching for weapons and tools, you can accidentally shut the cupboard you're currently searching.…

positive · AI labelView post →Started Bye Sweet Carole today because the urge struck. ...holy good damn, this game is pretty. But after going back to find more survival horror games I remembered this franchise and decided to give it a chance. The first game was impressive in its own way, it had some flaws, but this franchise had a great potential. So I gave this second entry a chance even though the reviews where telling me to turn back. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first episode, Tormented Father, maybe isn't a masterpiece, but it is very scary and tense; it comes with good atmosphere and intriguing mystery. It's a very realistic and immersive adult horror with smooth and coherent gameplay; I would say it's a cult game. But this one! Oh my! Broken Porcelain is one of the most unplayable game ever! It lacks of direction, mechanics are unnerving, story belongs to Z leagues. Story is an offense to human intelligence, pure trash! BP can compete for the…

neutral · AI labelView post →I probably should have known better, I have the first game and gave it a thumbs down too. The gameplay was more of the same here. First the good. It plays natively on UWS 3440x1440,, and doesnt look too stretched at all. The audio is decent, but sometimes sounds dont come from the correct side of the room. You use sound to track enemies too, sometimes it is wonky. The graphics are quite good, and the atmosphere is excellent. Everything looks very dreary and depressing, the way a horror game…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Introduction First part of these saga I played in 2019 on PS and was excited. I missed the release of Remothered 2, but when I have seen this game is available in Steam- decided to buy it. Mixed reviews have embarrassed me, but the wish to see how Remothered story finished - was much bigger. Main plot The main plot of Remothered: broken porcelain is both: prequel and sequel of Remothered: tormented fathers. If you haven’t played the first part or have forgot what happened there - the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remothered: Broken Porcelain has a great plot, but unfortunately, the way the story is told is a mess. The storytelling is uneven, with some moments being pretty good, but others not so much. While the graphics in the game look amazing, the lip sync, movement, shadows, and lighting inside the mouth are disastrous. The game is also a bit buggy, and the animation of the character is not present as they move or run. The game only takes six hours to complete, but I regret the time I’ve spent on…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd pass on this one till they iron out some more of the bugs. Story is good and music is fantastic but overall the controls were horrible. There were several parts of the game that actually had me looking up a strategy guide to figure out what I was missing. Especially the part with the jukebox halfway through. Almost all the objectives and gameplay issues could be easily addressed with simple button prompts to the players.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everything about this game is exceptionally bad. The story is probably the worst I've had in a game in the last decade, with the developer taking it much too serious (i.e., it's unfortunately not humorously bad...). Calling the control janky is an understatement. And then there's the insane gameplay mechanics, such as levelling abilities you will never ever use. Don't even play this joke even if you got it for free...

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3.6 Overall a worse game than the first, The environment(s) aren't as great feeling, awful QTE, the stalkers are a mixture of joke and sheer annoyance, the story is louder and more convoluted it gutted the one large location, going back and forth within in favour of a smaller environment generally from just a few. That being said the first chapter especially keeps the back and forth style but only for a few loops. From which point on it becomes a lot more overall linear and confined. They…

neutral · AI labelView post →Honestly from what everyone had been saying I thought this would be genuinely terrible, the first one was a bit jarring but this was cohesive enough to complete the story properly. It's not amazing by any means, it's not nearly as good as clock tower, and there are much scarier games out there, but at least it's fun enough for a once over.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i have both games. reminds me of clock tower games fun to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Broken Porcelain initially intrigued me with its captivating story and Jennifer as the protagonist. As a fan of Jessica from Outlast 2, I saw echoes of her in Jennifer's character and grew fond of her. However, my experience was negatively afffected by frequent crashes and the frustrating combat controls. I tried my best to overlook the technical issues, even replaying some parts to progress. Yet, the constant bugginess and the struggle with combat controls eventually reached a breaking point.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this review does not have any story spoilers. TLDR at end. after putting this game off for nearly 2 years based purely on the launch negativity, in fear of it tarnishing my view on the series, I decided to finally play it; and I am glad I did I decided to stay away from the game for so long due to negativity regarding bugs / mechanical designs, ones that I read had "permanently impeded progress, requiring a restart", and other glitches of significant value like invisible player, invisible…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the first and second game in 4 days and here is my rating as a horror fan player: (7,5/10) Both games have a great story and if you play them one after another, the story make more sense. I had only one bug on broken porcelain that made me restart, I guess the wait for patches made it worth it. The gameplay can be tedious but they improved it quite a bit in broken porcelain with making the characters movements being less clunky (except for the main character of the first game, guess…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →to be fair I only played for like 20 mins but within those 20 mins were enough to make me refund the game. those 20 mins were spent in the intro after the opening scene was over and i honestly thought i did something wrong cause the first enemy is right on you with nothing to be done. so i reloaded, and when he struck me, my character tumbled into one of the columns in the room and i phased right in, couldn't move or be hurt anymore so reload. third run, i explore and press the crouch button to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A troubled development and a rocky launch marred this otherwise excellent sequel to the beautiful homage to horror games and the clock tower series in particular that was the first Remothered. The story it tells is gorgeous and has tense moments throughout. I wish they had taken more time to polish the stealth sections and not assume you remember the mechanics of the first game. Cant wait for part 3.

The last mission is absolutely horrible. Everything is just annoying and tedious. -Its not scary in the slightest if thats what youre after. The graphics are ok i guess? negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not bad, not amazing, has a little bit too much going on. This game, compared to the first, is more focused on looping the entire story together, with prequel and sequel sections. It takes away from the original "mansion puzzle" all-in-one gameplay style that made the first Remothered great. I also don't believe it should have had such a collection focus, nor skills to upgrade. The first game had 19 things to collect and the gameplay was balanced without needing skills to upgrade core…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the controls are awful, the story is anticlimatic as all hell, the hiding mechanics are somehow worse than the previous game... Only the 3d models improved and even so, the animations bring everything down again. I admire the second attempt to make a Clock Tower spiritual sucessor, but it's better to scale things down and do it well rounded than increase the scope and ♥♥♥♥ up every single element of your game
